After having a reservation I called the Byrne rd. Location and spoke with an individual by the name of Chad. After talking to him about my reservation and pick up time of 230. He stated Your not taking that car trailer. I reminded him I have a reservation for 230 and he continued with your not taking that trailer its going to Arizona tomorrow. I continued to explain to him about my reservation and he was not trying to listen and became more hostile and unprofessional. Extremely poor communication. Horrible all the way around. Then when I looked to cancel my reservation online some one already cancelled it without informing me. Guess this is common business practice.

Sales representative told us there were no trucks available in or near the size we were looking for. We were sent to the Detroit Street location in an ice storm were we were informed the Byrne location did indeed have several trucks. We were treated unfairly because we are minorities. I do not recommend!!!!

So far great experience, but I only went to reserve a truck for later this week. Well see how it goes on Tuesday.

It was nice. Not great. The few times that I came in to get to my storage space, there was someone fixing cars and blocking the entrance closest to my climate controlled storage space.

Helpful employees and several types of storage and sizes. Seems pretty secure with additional security advantages.

I give the company 2 stars for the fact you can let any other company know that you making a payment late and they understand life happens but not here I had my storage for a year and always paid on time but the one time I let them know I’m going to be late paying I still get hit with a $15 late fee and my storage locked and I think that is sad that they care more for money than the customers. My time is coming to move my stuff out and If I ever need a storage after I’ll be going to a different company. The people are great and it’s not there fault they work for a money hungry company.

Chris was extremely helpful. Went above and beyond to ensure I left there satisfied. He even called me to check on the reservation I made. Took his time explaining questions and even went as far as trying to resolve a pending issue I had with a previous location( S. Detroit--Dont Go there). Anyway, keep up the great work Chris, you really care.

I made a reservation at this location three weeks ahead of time for a major life move. When I got to this store, I was told I had cancelled my reservation and that they did not have a truck for me. They told me there was nothing they could do for me, and that maybe some person from the company would call me within the next few days if they had something available. The people at this location talked to me condescendingly and did not apologize despite the fact that I had confirmed my reservation over the phone. The way uhaul works is that when you reserve a van, they tell you that they will give you a call a few days ahead of time to confirm the reservation. They hold your credit card number to reserve your van. I had received a call and confirmed the reservation, then within hours got another call from someone who said they were part of a different company in a different (not uhaul) asking to confirm my reservation with them. I told this second person that I already had a van with uhaul that I had confirmed, and he went ahead and cancelled my reservation and ended the call abruptly. It was super confusing and I never asked for my reservation to be cancelled, not to mention it was super ineffective and confusing that I was expected to confirm my reservation with uhaul twice, from two different locations in different states not affiliated with my move and not explaining the call was from someone contracted with uhaul. In all it was a horrible experience. My stress levels on moving day spiked. Thankfully, someone at the call center at Penske matched my quote with uhaul the day of when they found out uhaul screwed me over. And that is the only reason I was able to move in on time to start my new job.

Great customer service at this place! Had me hooked up to the trailer I rented and on my way in no time at all which is an immense help when you have a two year old with you.

Rental rates for storage seem very high here. The cost of boxes and things not so pricey....

We like this place. The food and service are good. It is always clean. For a sandwich it is a good stop.

Just had to use the bathroom

Weve used them for years and the present management team must be the best in the entire U-Haul organization. On our last move, we had a slight problem that I addressed with management and it was corrected within a few minutes. These guys wrote the book on customer service. Highly recommend!

This review might seem to be a bit exaggerated, but I assure you its not. The folks we met at the Byrne Rd. Uhaul were the nicest, kindest people ever. They went so far out of their way to help and accommodate us, I couldnt believe it. We were truly struggling through our move to Toledo with two small children in our truck, while also needing to go look at houses. The uhaul owners did so much to help us and make things easier. I havent experience such kind and warm customer service in a long time. I highly recommend this business!

Employee behind the desk was helping me out just fine, until his boss came in and started cracking jokes at the employees expense. It made me very uncomfortable. I understand that sometimes management needs to intervene, but this was not one of those times.

Very friendly and helpful people! I both rented a truck and a storage unit from here and was very pleased at how easy they made it. If I had any difficulties with anything, they were quick to help me out, and the facility was always well kept and secure.

I rented a truck to move a chair that my fiancé and I had bought.Everything went well and the people were nice until it came to get my refund.They owed me 37 dollars and they said they refunded but my bank has no record and I talked to their corporate office.When I called to talk to uhaul. They gave me the run around and were very rude.Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Uhaul is a joke . I rented a trailer and the tire blew and they told me i had to unload my trailer after I waited 2 hours for a repair man to show up that was very incompetent. I was also told I had to rent another trailer full price . Another thing I was told if I didnt unload the trailer right away I would be charged with theft . What a joke ! Horrible business
