I have been an Allstate customer for many many years. In 2019 I was affected in a Covid layoff causing my payments to fall behind. My agent of many years offered no assistance or support - he said pay in full or cancel.Unable to accept my situation I called the 800# to avoid my agent.Melanie in customer service salvaged and rectified my account and I was most grateful. I requested also at that time to change agents. Due to location I selected James Horton. After getting settled and back on track I spoke with David, James’ Office manager. Finally after all all these years, as I had requested to my old agent to correct my homeowners policy. David was the one that finally got it right. I feel much safer and definitely understand the feeling of I’m in good hands!!

Smooth and easy transition getting my policy in place and great customer service! The process was fast and they took care of everything for me. I also got a significant discount for bundling my life and car insurance which was quite a surprise.

When I was connected to Allstate, agent Liz came aboard and help me through what I call catastrophe. And that was because I just moved from New York to Texas and I need his insurance to transfer over my license plates etc.All other insurance companies that try to connect with me could not meet what I needed and in my price range nobody could come close, it was Liz and her associates that get the ball rolling they did not hound me like other insurance companies did they respected that I was searching and gave me time, but the other ones did not do that the other ones hounded me.When a company hound somebody that pushes that person away and you’re not going to get that client back again so forewarning all other companies if you’re not like all state and compassionate enough for the clients you’re not gonna make it . So all other companies be ware, you hound you lose .Thank you all state for everything glad to do business with you

Terrible experience. My floor flooded due to a burst hot water pipe and they limited liability to only $5K to replace my wooden floor, fix the leak and replace my carpeting on the first floor. It was much much more than that!!!

David Maney lies to me about my home coverage, the policies effective dates and places my family in a position to be homeless. After over a week of back and forth with Allstate that admitted to the lies in a recorded call, denied the claim based on effective date. We are now dealing directly with a contractor to repair our home that was damaged on July 10th, with a policy that was effective June 18th, belongings were moved into the property before closing. Allstate denied the claim based on policy effective date. I will be canceling all policies with Allstate and going with a different company. There has been 0 customer service on this matter, and even less communication. Full disclosure I canceled the claim as of today do to the negligence and lack of attention given by Allstate. I will be contacting news stations and an attorney on this matter as the public has a right to know when an insurance company commits fraud and then denies a claim based on having to honor the lies of an agent.Update 11/17/2019. After violating numerous state laws Allstate has issued a partial acceptance of the damages, the denied the claim in bad faith at first, after speaking to manager a month later it was reopened, they gave the whole dog and pony show , engineering report is full of lies and can be proved. Was informed the engineer was hand picked by Allstate. It looks like I will have to use an attorney to handle this matter as Allstate still has not done one thing from selling me the policy to handling a claim within the confines of Texas insurance code. They believe they are to big to lose. As stated by an employee of Allstate. I have tried since July 11th to reach an agreement and get Allstate to show good faith I. These dealings and they have not. They have opted to cover the very minimal possible and I will not stand for it. Even their executive office was not helpful in any way at all. I spoke with Gayle Burton who stated she sat outside the president of the companies office and was hired in her position to handle and answer for the president of the company. She also stated that the president sees every complaint that comes there. So that says the president of Allstate a publicly traded company is ignoring major legalities his company is violating. My consumer rights have been violated by Allstate, as well as many as 7 state laws during the handling of this claim. Allstate is a large company but the size of the company does not matter, they are not above the law.

Policy cancelled without notice, not notified they hadnt received check from title company after house closing. Policy backdated to date the house didnt have coverage. Shorted refund over $600 than refund quoted by phone for premium after finally switching insurance providers.
