The interlock device is such a dangerous distraction while driving. It beeps uncontrollably until you blow into it while driving. So until you’ve experienced this while trying to switch lanes, driving through an intersection, driving through the drive through, driving through a parking lot & driving over a curb bc you’re focusing on blowing into the device, or dealing with the unparalleled humiliation from family & friends, humiliation at the car dealership for service and oil changes, as well as almost getting into an accident because the device is beeping at you to blow into it you really don’t know what it’s like. I really can’t believe the state of AZ has mandated a device like this. It’s a big distraction and to be honest, it’s a never ending feeling of humiliation dealing with this device day in and day out for over a year. I understand the severity of my decision to drink and drive, and it was a bad decision, but never have I ever felt like such a waste of life having to deal with the humiliation of an interlock device day in and day out. So thank you LCI and the state of AZ for the wild ride.
