Went in for a trim on Saturday, told Octavio that I wanted the sides and back buzzed, leaving the current length on top. He said he would “lift” the hair out of my eyes a bit, and started cutting. By the time I had realized what was going on, it was too late. I have really bad anxiety, so when asked if I liked it, I said yes. This haircut has to be the worst I’ve ever had. You couldn’t pay me to return.Thanks for the bangs.TL;DR? Run, don’t walk.Response to Octavio: This is not what I asked for, at all. I’m not quite sure how you got *this* from the description provided. It was quite clear that I was content with the length on top, but you proceeded to hack away at it anyway. This cut is an absolute mess, the “style” you gave it was even worse. You gave me bangs and then put way too much pomade in my hair to make it something it was not. It’s going to take months to get the length I had back, I’m honestly so upset about this and your response tries to shift the blame onto me for no good reason. You did a horrible job, and you knew that not too far into the cut.

At times this has meant traveling farther than the average person to get a hair cut.Currently I travel from Miami to Tamarac which is over 35 miles. I take a haircut with Mike at Angelo’s Barbershop once per week and If you know South Florida traffic then you know that a traffic jam is only a matter of time.Why go out of my way to take a haircut every week? Found this little gem on Google while in town visiting family.Pros:- Clean and organized shop. The décor is nice (owners touch). Bonus: The Office was playing on the flat screen. Hell yeah.- Punctual. My appt was early on a Tuesday(?) morning at 9:30. Walked-in at 9:23am and was seated at 9:31. Nice!- My barber, Alex. Laid-back, listened to my preferences and executed magnificently. Conversation was dictated by the customer and not the other way around (how it should be). He did mention he was moving to Orlando soon...would be a shame for the 954 area.- Prices are EXCELLENT. Compared to up north, I was pleasantly surprised at $25 for a fade/part cut and beard trim.Cons:- Cant even think of one. No lie.Will be my new go-to spot anytime I visit South Florida from now on. The best barber I have found in Broward County! He takes appointments through the booksy app, which is super convenient. He is skilled with scissors and does a great job blending my hair so it always looks even. Also skilled with trimmers, but my cut has never been the south-florida fade and he does an awesome job listening to what you want and accommodating your requests. very detail oriented. 45min cut and I never feel rushed. definitely worth $20 if not more. His shop is new and very clean with easy access and parking. Mike is extremely down to earth and friendly and I look forward to watching his new business grow.
