The staff are friendly and attentive. My son loves taking swim lessons here. I know things are still modified because of Covid, but its still a great place.

The people there are really nice, and there is just tons of activities for you to do, There is nothing much more for me to say it’s almost 100% perfect. I would highly recommend others to come visit the Summit YMCA.

The best gym in the area, the whole YMCA is awesome. Great facilities, two pools and tons of great equipment. Whats your excuse?

Great place for high schoolers there so much to do and Destination college with Betsy and Martha are incredible!!!

Yoooo the old aquatics director got fired!Wonder if the staff still have that photo of her drinking with minors.lollllll or that time she left an hour into saturday lessons and as she was walking out saw her supervisor teaching, lifeguarding, and checking in students, but still left because she had a play to go to.Bring back Sue.

Its a great gym right across the public library in summit. We were attending a kids birthday party there and the facilities are good and kids all had fun together.

They need to get some more power racks and maybe rearrange some parts of the gym. I feel that they should solely have a room for the elliptical machines rather than spreading them out in different parts of the gym.

Best gym in the area! Multiple pools, classes galore, great equipment, and excellent community programs.

My wife and I have been coming to this gym for the past 1.5 year. The staff are super friendly and always there to help with the equipments and answer general fitness questions. we feel relax and comfortable with the overall atmosphere. We are also very happy to see equipments upgrade (threadmill, cycling, weights).

Okay. Some staff helpful, some not. Directions to pools and other facilities often unclear and contradictory. Havent been back though I purchased freestyle swim sessions.

The staff is kinda fake nice but really brash. Too many employees just walking around doing nothing, while membership fees are outrageously high. Oh yeah, and they have roaches.

The best deal in town. The Summit YMCA has everything from hot yoga to pools -- and free childcare while you work out. I love the way I feel when I come here. I feel even better when I leave.

The Summit YMCA is a nice facility with plenty of options and worth the pricy membership if you take advantage of the plethora of options they have; however, the staff at the front desk is outright horrible, the type of people to be bluntly rude to your face but do it with a smile to seem nice. Also, it is very difficult to actively want to be a member here as a teenager. They are extremely strict with their waiver system and are just in generally fairly rude to kids. The staff members in the red shirts, I believe they are trainers, are very helpful and seem to know what they are talking about most of the time. They can also hold a conversation very well. If you are under 18 and try to come in for a guest pass don’t even bother, as the staff will likely be rude to you and put you through a long procedure and shun you for not even paying the hefty fee. The price of this gym for the customer service is not worth it beyond the high school age.** This YMCA is far better than the Union and Fanwood/Scotch Plains locations.

Excellent pool, Gym, and workout facilities. Membership here will give you access to other area YMCA facilities as well.
