James did a fantastic job fixing my 65 LG smart 4k TV.I had a bent lamp and a screen bumped out of track that I couldnt even find answers for online. He had the TV diagnosed and fixed in less than 24 hours. Pricing was very fair.Dont be dissuaded by the retro appearance of the shop. James has been doing this for decades and he knows TVs. He was courteous, informative and even helped me load an unload the TV from the car. I had a great experience.

They repaired a vintage Sony stereo receiver for me, that another shop failed to fix. Mr. Kim is great to work with. I wouldnt hesitate to take another piece of equipment to him.

This place did an awesome job of tuning up some vintage components for me. Very knowledgeable. The service was quick for what needed to be done and the price was extremely reasonable, I thought. Not a very professional company. Talked on the phone twice with them, once to tell them what was wrong with my tv and the second was to schedule an appointment. They told me 6 pm on Friday, here it is 2 hours later and no one has shown up and I haven’t even received a call. I tried to call them several times but no answer.Adding to the owners response. Just because you showed up at 3 on Saturday doesn’t mean that was the appointed time. There’s a bit of a difference between telling me 6PM on Friday (yes 6PM, because I asked to verify when the appointment was made) and showing up at 3 on Saturday. And your business hours show closed Saturday, just like it shows closed at 6 on Friday, so the pandemic is not a reason.

I have not had any work done by this company. However, I gave it 5 stars for honesty. When I called to tell them what was wrong, they were honest and said I might want to consider getting a new one. The price would cost less than a new TV, but not by much. They said they would fix it, but I should consider just getting a new one if I can spend a little more. They could have took me for $250 if they wanted too. Instead, they told me the options. So I am getting a new one, but I appreciated their transparency and honesty.

My problem was out of their wheelhouse. They were easy to talk to.

I have taken quite a few electronics in for repairs and even purchased a 1980’s Peavey 2x12 guitar amp from Mr Kim. I’ve had nothing but great service done on my gear. If it’s not right when you get it home, take it back and he’ll correct the problem no questions asked. Great repair shop especially for vintage equipment.

I have some Pioneer equipment thats 30 years old and wanted play some old albums. I saw someone post on Facebook how they had theirs refurbished. So, I was directed to this place. The service was excellent! They got me up and running in a few days. The owner even walked me thru all the connections after playing it for me. Now, I have it all hooked up to my television and xbox. This guy is a pro! HIGHLY recommended!

Rude front end staff, vague timeline on when my equipment would be done. Do not recommend to anyone.

Not a fan. feels like i got burnt and lied to. Said they cleaned it, yet things that were allegedly removed were in the exact same position as when i brought it in. Not Fixed at all. Everything i said needed to be fixed never got touched. Wont be back and will never recommend this place.

GREAT SERVICE

The main board on my 55” LG failed. James at B & K had to order the parts, but still had the tv fixed in less than a week. He even offered to deliver and install it at my Ozark home. I’m very pleased with the service provided and would recommend B & K.

B & K have repaired for me 2 Pioneer P-D70s, an A-60, a JVC A-X4, all vintage stereo equipment. Have used each long enough to confirm repairs. Couldnt be happier with the results and the costs were fair. James is the guy to talk to and seems quite knowledgeable. I would recommend this place, especially for vintage equipment. Theyll tell you what it needs, cost, etc. so you can decide. Good place.

Some of the components in my 47 inch flat screen got fried from a lightning strike. B&K got the TV back to perfect working order and at a price that was more than reasonable.

So these folks are not responsible and failed to repair a simple part on an amp. They glued it back together and it failed to hold. How deceptive a simple fix and they couldnt replace a nut on an input jack. They required 35.00 up front and then passed off the repair with glueing a plastic nut back together. Im afraid to even go back after hearing the other horror stories. Please find another source for your repair needs these folks are a bad joke.🙀💩!

The people at B&K Audio and Video were very helpful in diagnosing a problem with my LG HDTV and in obtaining a RMA back to LG. I would highly recommend B&K Audio and Video to anyone in the Springfield area.

Its been over 2 months and my TV is still not fixed. When I took it in I was told it would be done in 2-3 weeks and now over 2 months later I have been told (for the 3rd time) that the part they ordered was defective and they had to send it back for a new one. Do not take your business here.
