I fluxuate in weight & size and I shop online which is always a guessing game when it comes to choosing size & fit of clothing. Ive always enjoyed top-notch work at more than reasonable pricess from Jean Marie,s alteration service. Highly recommended!

I havent been there in at least 3-5 years. It is smaller than JoAnns and they lack an app with a small online presence. But they are great. I bought the $76 Brother from Wal-Mart and returned it without a decent shot at another machine until after February or longer. I bought a vintage Sears Kenmore and I never expected to be happy with it. This machine is a worthy purchase and I want the more advanced version.

I was looking for specific fabric that no one else had available.. finding the store and parking was easy and convenient! The fabric was there at a fair price and I was satisfied.. They was the most amazing collection of fabric and are very courteous and helpful! Great store to return to.

Paid them upfront to repair a small tear in pocket of a 90.00 Hoodie. They sewed front side of pocket to the back side of pocket ruining hoodie and says thats how its done. Bull..... you put backing on tear and sew that together. Not ruin garment. Horrible and dont accept their own responsibility. Not only out the money for repair they ruined my garment dont waste your time or money here

I loved this shop. Its a small mom and pop shop. I really like shopping in local establishments. Great variety of fabrics and patterns.

I started bringing my husbands long sleeve work shirts to her when she owned a different store farther up main street. I needed them short sleeved and her work was always wonderful. More recently I needed the front of a quilt that I bought made into an actual quilt. I couldnt find her old store and was so happy to see her when I walked into Jean Maries. She was honest and told me my huge quilt would take a while, which I appreciated. She made a matching curtain and fixed a zipper on my husbands coat in the interim. Quality, beautiful work.

Wonderful selection of fabric and friendly staff. Huge variety of quilting needs along with sewing notions and buttons galore. It will be a real plus when parking lot is resurfaced. Its happening soon!

Very nice lady

A great little shop that fits in far more than I would have imagined that building can hold. All neatly organized. I love the variety of fabric options that you cant find at large chain places like Jo-Ann. Ive gone in here several times now and have spent more than an hour just shopping for fabrics and looking through their wide variety of buttons and laces and trims.If you are a quilter they have a great variety of different printed fabric.

Jean Marie and her Husband are so kind and helpful. She does the best work ever. Hemming my pants, cutting curtains off and rebuilding them. Make sure you have time to wait for your stuff. I do she is the best.

Visited twice; once for a zipper part and once for repair of an older sewing machine. Both times staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to offer suggestions and advice. Each time my purchases were very small but this seemed to make no difference whatsoever to the quality of service provided. I was impressed at how relaxed and helpful they were on both visits.

I have been taking my alterations in to Jean Maries Fabrics since I moved to the area many years ago with great success. They have wonderful sewing classes, do custom orders (she made toddler sized sheets out of a queen set of Star Wars sheets for my toddlers room. She also made matching curtains that we still use to this day. Love how versatile she is!) The whole family is great to work with. Will be bringing in a bunch of clothing, and even bedding sets that needs to be repaired this week! Their prices are great and I always appreciate it when they can fit in a rush item occasionally. I trust them with even my expensive designer denim as well! See you soon!

Very nice people get some stitching done here

This is a surprising little gem of a fabric store. I cant vouch for the quilt fabrics, because I am a garment seamstress, but they have a really interesting supply of knits and other fabrics that are far superior to anything you can find at JoAnns. Many bolts are very good quality. The prices are good. They dont have a lot of sales, but since the prices are fair to begin with, theres no need to pull the big-box gimmick of pretending youre getting something on sale when you actually arent. The fabrics change often and new things come in regularly. I can always find something good!.

The only place in the area to purchase good quality apparel fabric. The quilt fabric offerings are diverse and interesting. They always carry a good selection of canvas as well.

Winona is amazing! Her wedding dress altering skills are unbelievable. Planning your special day can be stressful. Worrying about your dress is extreamly nerve racking. Well, put those concerns to bed and have your alterations done at Jean Maries Fabrics. Winona worked a miricle altering my dress. I couldnt have hoped for a better fit. She literally had to cut the entire zipper out of the back and sewed in a corset back. Turned out so gorgeous.

Jean Maries is a lively shop in Springfield with a large supply of fabric and quilting supplies. I enjoyed shopping there.

I often bring in torn clothes and those missing buttons. They are always returned good as new, and for a reasonable price. I am not sure how much money I have saved by not having to buy new clothes as often.

I called to ask about getting alterations for my wedding dress in three months. I stated that I need buttons added to the back and need it just taken in a size. She said she doesnt think she would gave time for it. So lost my business. Pretty bummed that she really didnt even give me a chance to say to come in so she can see what she is working with or anything. Pretty bummed there was no effort or care to be made on her end.
