I highly recommend Charles Graves Painting, because they gave me a killer price and still did the professional level of mold remediation that I was looking for. I really feel like I got an excellent deal with them, and the mold in my crawlspace and basement is completely gone, so I am really appreciative and will be a repeat customer. Charles is very smart and very nice and easy to deal with. The workers are obedient and courteous, they took care of all our small requests but also stayed professional and focused on the job. They were very very by the book when it came to the work, and they sealed off the area perfectly with plastic and duct tape so I never felt worried that their work could interfere with the rest of our home. We found this company on Google, and called them out because we had a musty smell coming from our basement and it was giving me some pretty bad symptoms. We weren’t really sure where it was coming from. On the inspection Charles was able to identify that we had moisture in our foundation walls and also our basement floor, and he also found mold on the underside of the drywall (yikes!). He went through what we needed to have done prior to removing the mold. We were impressed with how thorough Charles was, and he went into detail to make us understand the situation and help us feel comfortable with the process going forward. He explained the whos, whats, whens and whys of mold completely. He referred us to a third party company to handle our waterproofing and installing of a sump pump, who also gave us a good deal on them. We got a total of 6 estimates- 3 for mold, 3 for the sump pump and waterproofing- and CGP came in the best price for the mold and also had the most detailed process. After the sump pump/waterproofing was installed, CGP came in with high quality looking equipment and did their process, including mold removal, cleaning and rebuild. Our basement smells good now, and our humidity reader shows normal levels again. I am no longer experiencing any of the allergies or coughing or foggy headaches that I was experiencing prior to the mold removal. These guys are the best!

After being away for a few days I came home to find a lot of water damage due to a leak in the bathroom. I’m so happy that my insurance adjuster sent us CGP. Charles was very informative and right away I knew I could trust him. I was kept informed every step of the process. They came and fixed everything quickly and the house is fresh/new again. I could not be any more pleased with the quality of their work and they are very easy to work with!!

We had excellent service with this company, they inspected and remediated our master bathroom and also did a bath remodel since a lot of stuff needed to be torn out. They were helpful, better priced than other mold competitors, and did a very high quality job. I had great experience with CGP Mold Remediation Division, they are really master of their work. We called them because of a sump pump flooding in our basement. They gave a much better price than the competitors, which helped us save enough money to still go Christmas shopping. Ana and Charles were very friendly and accommodating, and they came in quick with all of the equipment and workers needed to fix the problem. Now our basement looks good as new!

We purchased a flipper townhome in Alexandria VA that we were able to manage to get for a good price. The home is located in a great area near Old Town, but it had some water damage in the basement from a busted pipe. We called Charles Graves Painting and Charles came out for the estimate. He identified that there were no other moisture issues besides the pipe itself (helpful to know), and provided us a quote. We called him the next day as his offer seemed like the best overall deal (he was licensed, and was the best price for a licensed company that we reviewed. We did not trust the one guy lower who could not provide his license.) So we hired CGP, and before they started we had a plumber come out to fix the leak. CGP removed all of the water damaged materials, did their mold treatment process and replaced them, and the place looks and smells fresh and new and meets code. We were able to sell the home for $74,000 more than what we purchased it for, which was awesome. They really did a good job for us! Thank you guys

I wanted to do a quick review about my experiences with Ana from CGP Mold Remediation. I called looking for home inspectors who specialize in mold remediation. Ana answered right away, on a saturday. That told me she cared. When I explained I had purchased a new home that I found out had mold, and needed an inspection right away, she was willing to schedule an appointment for Sunday to have our home looked over. The fact that she was willing to understand where I was as someone who has experienced breathing issues in the past is amazing. No matter what I would go with this company again, simply b/c of the level of service I received from Ana. They were low pressure, and simply provided me a lot of good information. I ended up calling them later to go with them, and they did a really good job!

My friend recommended this company to me (ironically, we both had experienced basement flooding) and I am now using them. Thankfully, they are making this situation as little annoying as possible. They are almost done, and already my basement smells fresh and new, which I was worried it never would. They are also affordable, and nice people. Give them a call!

We had a very scary experience with mold growing in our basement bathroom and basement walls. Charles came out and looked at the situation, and was able to determine where the mold came from and gave us a very reasonable cost on fixing everything. We have not had any mold return, and would really recommend them to family and friends!

I run a property investment company, and we have used Charles Graves Painting’s mold remediation division on a few projects that had mold. We appreciate the fact they are licensed, fully certified, and affordable. Charles is qualified, knowledgeable, and his workers are very hard working and do a good job of following the punch list completely. I also appreciate they are willing to use stronger and more effective chemicals than many “epa friendly” companies tend to do. We had a run-in with a different company that emphasized protecting the environment more than the home we were trying to sell, avoided using “biocides” and the results were less than ideal. The place still stunk and the guy said something about “that’s how its supposed to be”. Yeah, tell that to the people purchasing homes! Charles Graves Painting is much more practical and effective. They take this job seriously, like a surgeon and they get it done. They also clean the air to remove any chemicals before turning in the job. We also have used them for painting as well, with great results. We recommend Charles Graves Painting for any of your home needs!

I never want to see mold again, but thankfully CGP was one bright spot in an otherwise nightmare experience. They got rid of the problem quickly and they were very understanding and sympathetic to my situation. I have asthma, so they took extra precautions in remediating to better take care of me
