I have been an avid customer since 1991, from Scott to Hank and now the new owners they have always been responsive and carried excellent used products like new when they sell them. Never had a problem. They are so worth checking out. So glad they are still in business. I really trust them.

The woman at the front desk was super helpful along with the gentleman who picked up the phone before I arrived here. Being located down 99 their location felt sketchy like I could be gang violenced before I got into the store buti I igot there like 10 minutes before they closioed on a Friday so I really felt like a bad man for being so late...then as I walked up to the front desk the woman working was super nice and diagnosed my burned out heater element within literal seconds and within a minute I had made a purchase and was walking out the door...my dryer element was a good $60-some-odd bucks but it made our dryer work after instillation, so definitely worth it! I would recommend doing the home repair over purchasing a new machine any day and above that I would recommend working with these folks to get the part you need! They were fast, friendly, and knowledgeable AF! Thanks again!!

I purchased used parts to repair my Fridgidare washing machine. I subsequently found that the machine was beyond repair. I tried to return the parts to Hanks three days after I purchased them. They refused to take the parts back and were unwilling to refund my money, all or part. Hank said his policy was to not allow returns on any parts. He was unpleasant and hung up on me. I recommend avoiding this business.

Hank answered the phone promptly, and moved things around to get to me and my broken washer as quick as possible. Same day service. His pricing was fair and he was very friendly, and told me my options regarding the broken part. I felt safe with him in my home and would certainly recommend him and/or use his services in the future. What a really nice guy.

These guys were great! My fridge went out and they came over ASAP and tried to fix it but had to order a part first. Took the people almost a week to get the part to us but as spon art they got it they came over to fix it. Really nice respectful and always explained what was going on.

Never calls back

Its been a couple of years now since I had this experience with Hank.My dishwasher had a slow drain effecting the quality of the wash cycle. I contacted the shop on Main Street, told them all the trouble shooting I had done already. I had broke the machine down already, inspecting all elements, clearing all hoses filters etc. They advised I have a home visit by Hank. It would only cost $80 dollars an hour. Since I had run out of ideas I scheduled a home visit. Hank was punctual, arriving on the dot. I ran over all the steps I had taken already with Hank. I then watched as Hank retraced everything I had already done. Crawling around floor, inspecting the moving parts, checking hoses etc. At the end the hour having resembled the washer and taking my check for $80 dollars Hank suggested I heat of pot of water til boiling and then pouring it into the washer set to drain only. He said this would clear any grease in the lines. Well I gave him my money and boiled a pot of water. Lo and Behold my washer drained as it should after this. Im pretty sure Hank is smart enough to have known to advise me to boil the water first, before charging me the $80 dollars. Had he done so I would be recommending his business instead of advising my friends to avoid him and maybe giving him positive review. I do not recommend this business.

Really... I took my stuff to a charity, loaded and unloaded my own because nobody wanted to pick them up.

I’ve been a customer for years now and have consistently received quality refurbished appliances. Today I purchased a washer, got it home and installed but there was an issue with a switch which caused the machine to stop in the cycle (full of water of course!). The owner made a trip out to my home to repair it on the spot. Prices are reasonable and appliances are clean. This is the ultimate in repair and reuse rather than buying new which I appreciate.

Just an awesome place. Friendly service and good selection. Cheap delivery and installation too. I opted to deliver myself and then owner threw in hoses, dryer venting and clamps and offered to exchange the pigtail for free if it didnt fit. Got a nice matching set for a very reasonable price - with a warranty. Highly recommended!

Love the price and the service, but their store hours are ridiculous. Theyre never there, even during their posted business hours, and they dont return calls. Nice people, doing good work for a fair price. Wish I could rate them higher, but Im writing this sitting in front of the store trying, FOR THE THIRD TIME, to buy a stove from them only to find no one here during their stated business hours. Get it together, guys.

Went in looking for a washer, I was welcomed right away. They had a good selection, they were helpful answering all my questions. I was pleased to find out that the washer came with a warranty. I recommend them, thanks Hanks appliances

These guys do crappy work. After they worked on my washer it has become unbalanced and makes a horrible noise. Spent 250.00 to have them replace the seals and whatever needed done, now I have to just get a new washer. Great. Will never go back. They are not a licensed dealer so all of the warranties that they will tell you about are essentially nonexistent.

Bought a dryer from them. After a few uses it stopped working, hank came out next day to fix it. He was really nice about it and explained what happened. Its been working great since l and its been 6 months since we bought it. Will be returning there for a freezer soon. Thanks Hank!!!!!

Hanks Appliances sold me two faulty washers in a row. After the first one broke, they would only replace it if we paid an installation fee (though we were initially told installation was included). Two days after they installed the new washer, the drain hose came detached from the back of the washer and flooded my apartment and my neighbors. As it was a Sunday, Hanks was unreachable. The following day, they didnt bother to return our message. When my husband finally reached Hank, he was unapologetic and wouldnt send somebody out for repair until that evening. As might be expected, we are now dealing with the massive clean-up involved. Hanks has now claimed that the flooding was our fault, though they did the installation.Do not buy your appliances here. They will not take responsibility for improper installation/faulty equipment.

Thus far, the machine we purchased was broken upon arrival. The door wouldnt stay shut. When we called to have it repaired, we were told it would have to be taken back to the shop. The machine was taken, repaired and delivered days later. When dropping off the machine, it was reported that the servicemen said it was broken because we were careless and were slamming the door. The serviceman dumped it in our laundry room, stating he couldnt hook it up because he was late opening the store. The machine was also FILTHY with black dirt, possibly grease on it. (It was mostly clean when it was picked up.)I hooked up the machine properly and went to put laundry in and discovered that the old part that had been replaced had been left inside the washer. I took the part out, put a load of laundry in, and started the machine.A little later, the machine began to leak. Not a small leak, but a FLOOD of water covered the floor. It was hemorrhaging water from somewhere underneath the machine. We called the store and asked them to fix it again, but were told that they werent going to do anything about it because they didnt touch anything but the front and mentioned that we didnt hook it up right..Thank you Hanks Appliance Repair, for insulting my intelligence, and maintaining your solid record of horrible customer service.If you (the company) are reading this, I challenge you to make this right. I may consider writing a more favorable review.

Honest and reasonably priced

Took a washer I bought from them back 2 times and they told me Id hooked the hot and cold hoses up wrong. Took it back home and recorded it not working. They wouldnt refund my money even though itd only been a few days. They also wouldnt refund the difference in price between my expensive washer and the cheaper ones they had left. Scammers. Hank was rude to my wife as well.

Hank and Juan were able to come and fix my washer and dryer on a Saturday, and not only that he came within two days where other appliance repair were quoting me up to two weeks out! Im totally happy with his service, and with the price I paid.

My Dryer was working very poorly for months, not drying clothes and making a horrible screetching sound when turned on. I called around to other places for estimates on a repair and Hanks had the best price on labor. The Customer service was great on the phone, walking me through my options and when Hank came out to pick up my machine, he helped me to understand what the exact problem was instead of treating me like some dumb girl. My dryer was back in 4 hours and has been runing great since ( 5 months ago ) I also got a new dishwasher from them and was very please with how fast they were able to find one in my price range and how fast if was installed! I am very satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend them for your appliance needs

We had a terrible customer service experience with Hanks Appliances in Springfield. They charged us $100 to fix our dryer. They did not fix it and claimed it was a problem with our electrical outlet, which has nothing to do with the issue (they dryer would not spin freely). They were incredibly rude about the situation and showed no interest in helping us, We will never use this business again and recommend against using them.

I had been watching the folks at Hanks while they sat up and wanted to remember it because i was starting to think about a used washer and dryer. Yesterday 4/4/13 i walked in to a small but sufficiently stocked with what i was looking for. The woman came out and talked to me a bit, told me there price on what i wanted. For the amount of the machines i also got free delivery and set up. I have by now been looking for a week or two and i really just needed someone to sell me a set and take responsibility for its working for 90 days. Also, he stayed and ran it through a cycle before he left. I think if you were to go in and speak to the folks there, they will help you, and if you want a good experience, do your part. Bought a small Chest Freezer from Hanks, good price and I needed it delivered same day, they asked a time and I said now would be good Hank loaded it up and brought it over

Called on Friday to make an appt, was told Monday at three. Called Monday at FOUR and they said I wasnt on the schedule. Really inconvenienced. Do not recommend this business.

My husband went down to pick up a washer he had looked at earlier in the day but had to wait till 4 for a buddy to get off work to help got to Hanks at 410 and they were closed for the day no note on the door when it clearly says they r open till 5!!!
