Never serviced our water softener even though we paid monthly. Called when it was leaking. Someone came. Advised needed a part. We called 6 times to follow up and no one was ever able to get into the area they needed to be to check status...this was over a three month period of waiting. After putting new flooring in I did not want this issue to cause me more problems due to their inability to fix the leak. I finally called and told them to remove the softener. They sent someone who had no idea how to do so. Took another call to follow up again. Finally after 4 months from the initial issue, it was removed.

GE assigned CarMichael Appliance to handle 3 month old non-functional dishwasher warranty repair on 5/26/2021. Tech stopped by a few days after, pressed the power button a few times, said it was the control board. Cool. Told me parts would be ordered. Thats the last time I heard from them without calling to ask the status. Called each month now into our 4th month, Waiting on parts.. I called GE to resolve situation and was informed CarMichael Appliance had canceled the repair over a month ago... GE is now sending their own tech out to get this resolved.As a business owner, communication with customers is key. Even on work with small profit margins like warranty work. Hopefully, their standard work is better quality. I will not be taking that risk, however.Update: GEs tech stopped out today. Fixed issue in 10 minutes and needed no parts. Simply a loose wire right under the front access panel. Ive bumped this down to 1 star after that revelation..

The repair lady was amazing. Even if my washer didnt actually do the error coding it was b4 her visit. It acted up the very next day. Wish things were made to last. At least theres help in trying to make survive a lil longer!!

Scheduled a repair. Given a window of 1:30 to 4:30. No call , no show….. what more can you say? No reason given when they called the next day to schedule again, guess I should take more time off so they can no show again.

I had to cancel 1st appointment due to Doctors visit, anf was told the tech would call on Friday to set up service. No call from from tech, and was told the reason was due to a computer issue. Again told we would tech call on Monday, and again no call. Watched a YouTube video and diagnosed the problem myself. $7 part from Amazon, and help from a friend and the washer is working great.

This place is probably the worst business I have ever used! Do not bother making a call. I tried to work with local small business but this place is awful. Stole $90 from me for a service call with no service and no plan to service. Called 4 times and got same response, we are still looking into that for you. Just scroll the reviews, Consistent awful service. Only thing that keeps this place in business is sending service people out and taking money from them. Service people were at my house for 6 minutes.

Called out for repair on Electrolux dryer throwing a E61 repair code. Looked up on Electrolux’s website for a list of approved appliance repair. Carmichaels was on it. Tech came in and said nothing was wrong other than the rollers. I kept telling them it was throwing a E61 code. Finally gave me a bill and $200. Some dollars later and told 4-7 business days for parts to come in. 6-8 weeks later and zero and I mean ZERO communication from Carmichaels. We have reached out multiple times to inquire. We were told they are backordered and they have no clue when they will be in. Well, here we are now 7-8 weeks later and a request to have manager or owner to call us and zero response again.Just cancel the transaction, give us our money back and we will just buy a new dryer!They are not professional whatsoever. They should not be on electroluxes approved list of repair people. Beware!!!

Never ordered my parts had to call the warranty people then said they came to my house never showed up and wouldnt let me speak to a manger.. Worse place dont use. now the manger calls me and was mad because of my review told me hes not coming out hung up on me .. Rude people

Really bad experience with the installation and delivery. Sales staff was great. Even friendly when I asked to cancel my $2000 worth of items. The delivery men did not call and speak with us as instructed before they got there. We have famly members in poor health. We need a 5 minute heads-up so we can receive people in the house.They also refused to wear masks or face covering. Side note* I would NEVER Let my delivery and installation team think they are the most important and most valuable of my business. Or act like they are. He may have had a bad day. ... OR....Forgot his medicine. ...Working 3 jobs.....4 sick kids at home ect...

This company is a JOKE.... was referred to them when using my Lowes warranty service. They dont carry any parts. They dont answer the phone half the time and they were a NO CALL NO SHOW on a scheduled appointment!I would watch a YouTube video before calling this place for anything.

Bought a washer from them and paid for delivery and hauling and they refuse to come back and get the old washer. Ive called many times and they always said I was scheduled for the next day but never showed. Mind you im 8 months pregnant!!

I had a horrible experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My experience was very similar to other reviews. Never did any diagnostics, ordered a part that took weeks to get in, and refrigerator still doesnt work after the part was replaced. We ended up having to get another repair shop to come out. Its been over a month and several phone calls and we are back at square one.

I would give zero stars if I could. We called to get a quote about converting our stove and I was told $75. I specifically asked if that included labor and was told yes it’s a flat $75. When my husband dropped it off, he was told he would be called Monday for an estimated time of completion. Wednesday rolls around and still no call. I called and was told the guy was on lunch and they’d call me back in 30 min. Still no call back 2 hours later. I called again and was told the same thing. Next day, still no call. I called again and was told I’d be called in an hour and a half. This time they did call back just to tell me the part was still on it’s way and they’d fix it the next day when it came in. They called my husband the next day to come pick it up. He picked it up and then was charged $146. I called them that same day and told them I was quoted $75 and was told the owner would call me back the following week. All week, no call go figure. So I called just now and was told they let go of the girl who probably quoted me that price. I asked what they were going to do to fix it and she told me that “I have a hundred people call me everyday telling me they were quoted a lower price just to not pay as much.” I am FURIOUS. For one, your customer service is AWFUL. For two, I know for a fact the girl that is still answering the phones is the same girl that quoted me $75. And for three, I’m not just trying to get a cheaper price. We would’ve fixed it ourselves for the $20 part had I known it was going to be that much. Would NEVER recommend Carmichael’s for ANYTHING. Rude staff that never calls back and quotes you wrong prices then accuses you of just trying to get a cheaper price. I don’t think I’d be calling so many times if that were the case.

I would seriously give this company a ZERO (or negative) if it was possible. They have taken well over two months and still have not fixed my freezer. At first the guy said the ice needed to be scraped out of the doors. then they said I needed a new seal. Neither of them fixed the problem. Not to mention in between these visits, they managed to screw up my address when I already told them I had moved and had to reschedule my visit. The time before that, they said GE sent them a “defective” seal. That took another week of waiting. Now they said it’s a seal system failure and they have to take my fridge into their shop to fix and that would take another 10-15 working days per the owner! And it’s been well over two months since all this has started. I question the competency of some of their technicians and their scheduling and professional is horrendous. On one occasion, they actually told me that ALL the techs had called off (it was Friday) so they would have to reschedule me for Monday! It is truly UNBELIEVABLE. DO NOT use this company. On a positive note, one of the technicians did help me find the water line hookup for my fridge.

Dishwasher was stuck in the wash cycle, the repairman came out he was nice however asked me what was happening did not even open the dishwasher and diagnosed it as the computer board costing in the $400 range plus labor or offered for me to go to the store for a new one. When questioned regarding some other possible issues on line he called his boss who agreed with the computer board. When asked if he knew how to find the error code for what the issue was he said he did not know how to retrieve that. Said it would take 2-3 months for the part and charged me $80plus for the service call, which he said was cheaper than Best Buy. I then investigated found how to retrieve the error which indicated a thermistor. Went to Mr Handy who was recommend and I also greatly recommend and she said to clean the screens first before ordering any parts . That WORKED, no service charge and no parts needed. That is Service ! I used to use Carmichaels for services and purchased a washer dryer and microwave from them, however very disappointed in this service.

I would give zero stars if I could. They have been out 2 times to try and repair my freezer. Worthless. Repair person cut a hole in the back for drainage. What joke. Here I am three days later with the same issue. Had to wait over a week for a part he said I needed. After he got here with it said I didn’t need it that he would put it in anyway. Freezer is still broken. They have no idea what they are doing. Worthless! Rip off. Don’t use them!

If I could give them no stars I would. My father and I have been lied to and sent to collections for a part that was paid for in full before it was picked up and it was the wrong part. So I am now out over $60 still have a non working oven and been told that they will correct it. I have gone through Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter without an oven. I was told that they would order the correct part with no additional charge but instead they just start sending me more invoices. I will never recommends them to anyone!! Please everyone go to Mr. Handy on John Street!! At least when you call them they listen and dont try to cut you off while you are still speaking.

I was a service technician for carmicheals about 6 months. I was taught to lie to customers whenever it was convenient to cover up previous misdiagnoses. I was taught to lie to customers about new parts being installed even if they were unnessecary. The owner taught me to lie about installing warranted parts even if the original part was good. They routinely have been dishonest with GE, Fridgidaire, Whirlpool, and Maytag about warranty work they have done. The owner is a master manipulator and plays a fake Christian leader at a local church. If he has an issue with any customer or employee he tries to use intimidation , extremly loud voicings and posturing to get his point across.The store is usually a pit of despair due to the atmosphere created by the owner. The building is filthy and structurally unsafe. The service and delivery vehicles are mostly in constant disrepair and unsafe. I was promised a decent wage and a commission for my work after a couple months of training. Instead I was never paid a commission at all. The owner uses every little mistake as an excuse to make you feel like a failure. Of the dozens or hundreds of service calls I made only 2 times was actually a fail. I feel I was duped into the job and tricked into a near minimum wage dead end street for almost 6 months. The sad part is I continued to believe the lie and was rationalizing that my commission would be paid òn the next payday. My last day was the week before Thanksgiving 2019. I suffered a heart attack on the road. Luckily I was working with my service manager and he took me to the ER. I assumed I would get my commission I earned considering the circumstances. Never happened . I was used until I broke and tossed out like the trash.

So frustrated with this company. It’s been a month since I called them for repairs. They “diagnosed “ the prob without assessment. Ordered the parts, which took over 2 weeks, got my phone number wrong in the system initially, so I never got a call back. They can’t fix this in their system (even though they’ve attempted to) They Service in my area twice a week, which is ridiculous since I’m only 25 mins away from the store. Finally canceled them altogether.

Terrible tech could not fix the dishwasher in 4 visits still having exact same problem as day one. they were hired by fridged air to fix the dish washer. they dident wait to see if the dish washer was fixed. always told me to call back to fridged air every time they dident fix the dish washer.

I had an appointment with them and they call me to change and appointment and okay fine. They said they will be call me around 8:30-9:30 (they never did) I call them and they said they will be home around 11-2pm and I said no I can’t be home waiting for you guys I have to go work and the guy said call another company. They are not professional.
