I just wanted to say I have been looking for a home for quite sometime. Although I have found one. Tara always followed up when she had new rentals available and did her best to find me what I needed. She is an amazing asset.. And her follow through is amazing. She truly cares and loves her job and it shows. Hunter is without a doubt a wonderful company to work with. I will be in touch if I am ever in the market again.

Within an hour of my submitting my application I received a phone from Jessica Martin who made what is typically a stressful process very easy. She explained the process and steps I needed to take and we will be moving into our home within a couple of weeks. I called ahead of time and let them know that I would be by to drop my keys and garage door clicker off. Upon my arrival I walked inside the building and was greeted with “who are you and a dirty look”. I Immediately felt like I was not wanted there. I told them who I was and why I was there but that didn’t help. I was spoken to like a five-year-old the entire time I was there. I do not recommend doing business with them let alone living in their rundown overpriced properties.

Its really difficult to try to move halfway across the country like I did. I moved from Vermont to Springfield Missouri. I had a week while I was in town in February to look around at the different properties. There was a consistent quality I found with the hunter Property Management Company. So when I house became available in the community I wanted to live in, even though I wasnt there, I was able to get this house with confidence knowing that was managed by Hunter. I got into town with 45 minutes before they closed and still was able to get my keys get into the house and move into my house all in one day. In fact I slept in my new house the day I moved down here. I could not have done this without the eaves and assistance of everybody at Hunter Tara and Terry or both exceptional property managers and I would recommend them any day of the week and twice on Tuesdays

My roommates and I have rented from Hunter Properties for a year and we’re about to enter our second year with them. The apartment was professionally cleaned and freshly painted a modern blue-gray (I was absolutely delighted by this because I’m so sick of renter-beige) before we moved in and all of the appliances were in good working condition. Hunter Properties is very responsive to maintenance requests, almost always fixing the issue with 2 business days and sometimes even on the same day the request is placed!The complaints I do have are very small and nitpicks at best, but I’ll share them so you can make your own judgements.1. The mailboxes aren’t protected by lock and key, but this has only resulted in a stolen package once to my knowledge2. The appliances in our unit are a bit older than what we were shown in a different unit during our tour, but that is always a gamble with renting!3. The parking lot of our particular property is small and sometimes my roommates and I have to street park our cars.However, in the year that I’ve rented from Hunter Properties, those are my only real complaints and none of them have had a drastic impact on my life or my ability to enjoy my apartment.If you’re looking for a friendly, professional, and reasonable place to rent from, I can’t recommend this team enough!

What can I say about Tara. I live in North Chicago, I left a government job and took a job in Branson Missouri not realizing how limited apartments are their especially during the spring summer. I found the apartment online and applied. Because of a unfaithful spouse a divorce and bankruptcy ensued. HUNTER PROPERTY Management wont even look at someone with a bankruptcy. I was crushed when that came back. I was extremely excited about the apartment it had everything I wanted from cleanliness, to proximity to my work, to rent payment, etc. I called the next day and spoke with the new person ( I believe Jessica) I made my pitch to her and she said she would have Tara call me as she is the expert but to go kine and fill out the application so she had something to show Tara. I said OK. I did not here from her that day. I did fill out an application online and paid the $30.00 when Tara gave me a call. She was amazing , very kind on the phone, and very honest. She asked me how much I could put down. I told her a year. She said OK and sent me the lease etc. As I thought about it, talked with my financial advisor and my brother, I was not comfortable with doing that. Tara had emailed me the next day because the deposit had not gone through. I explained 1st in an email to her then she called and we spoke that I was not comfortable doing that. 1. The apartment I had originally looked at appeared to small for me and two dropping that much money is not something I am ever comfortable with. When we spoke Tara explained that they never deal with bankruptcies but for some reason she had to reach out to me. Now being a spiritual person I was blown away. Tara is amazing. She worked with me on the deposit and went from a year rent paid up front to 5 months and the security deposit. Tara also gave me the 2 bedroom apartment that I had hoped for because it had a washer and dryer in the unit, and even spoke with me about my divorce and allowed herself to open up and speak with me as a human being on this big blue marble. Something that most people in her profession, dealing with covid, people not paying their rents, refusing to move and not being able to legally do anything must be hard ( Tara did not tell me that I am assuming from what I have dealt with in north chicago) Tara, my heart aches for what you are dealing with both personally and professionally. Your warmth, kindness, understanding, and ability to treat me as a man who made mistakes in life speaks volumes to your heart and soul.
