Always friendly staff and the place is spotless.. been coming since it opened as office is so close

Do not join them. They started taking money out of my account without any notice. Even though I clearly have not patronized their establishment in almost 2 years. They decided to resume deductions from my account with no notice. John, the manager refuses to issue me a refund and so I am writing this negative review. Go somewhere else! Not too crowded for a Saturday Evening.The few people that were there kept there 6 ft spaces, were mindful of wearing masks, and wiping down there equipment after each use.

Great gym, with state of the art equipment. This place is new with excellent weight lifting and cardio equipment. Both bathrooms have a sauna and the amenities are very clean.

Just left and wasnt happen with the service. The yoing lady was rude and didnt say Thank you or nothing. Customer service is so important. This is one of the reason I dont eat fast food. I was actually bringing someone else.

When this gym first opened it was new an cleaned an I just loved it! Everyone was super nice. Now since Covid hit this place has gone down the floors need to be mopped, in the rooms with tanning beds dirty beyond belief. People weren’t cleaning machines when they were done before but now it’s worst! No mask if you say you have been vaccinated, how do you really know? You ask for proof, but that’s ok because your support to believe in people! The young guys behind the desk need more people skills when people walk in greet them an pay attention put the phones downs an lesson when a quest tells you what they want. The one young man is truly trying an working hard but needs to be trained a little more. I’m thinking of changing gyms if they don’t get it together soon! Great location but I will drive to oak park soon to feel safe an clean!

First time in a Gym. Loved my experience and staff stayed on top of keeping the equipment clean. Staff was also friendly and helpful.

I signed up for a membership about two months ago. On the third month a payment of $39 and some change was taken From my account, I drove up to the club to ask what the payment was for as my original payment of $24 had already been taken out. I was told that the $39 was an annual payment that all members have to pay. I was unaware of any annual payment and was not informed when I signed up. The problem is not about paying an annual fee, the problem is that I had only been there a few months not a year and I feel that the $39 annual fee should be discussed and collected at the same time as signing up or just before the customers one year. Whatever the case it should not be a surprise deduction from my account.

If you don’t look like this from your gym, it’s cause you aren’t at this one. Cleanest most professional well lit and maintained gym you’ll ever experience.

These people entered my email address wrong since day one of being a member. I never received a single email to tell me when Id be charged on my account, I was waiting for the big annual fee so I could cancel before then, or the opening in closings during shutdown. I went to cancel my subscription over 2 months ago, and see today on my bank account that they were still charging my account! This location is out of my way from home and I am never in that direction.These people are extremely unprofessional! I spent nearly 20 minutes at the counter waiting to do the cancelation, then when I called on the phone just now they canceled it like it was no big deal. No regard for the fact that my money is going to them when it was not intended to, disregarding the fact that I signed a document to cancel and the staff was incompetent enough to finish the task on their end. So disappointing.

Great Place. Most of the machines were open. There was plenty of clean stations with cleaning supplies for wiping down machines.

The staff was very Nice, the facility was clean......LOVED the massage room But, the machines were hard for me to operate even on the lowest 😞 settings. When I called Josh told me a personal trainer comes with the black card member But, after signing up on the same day we spoke, I was told there wasnt one available at this location...that was very disappointing 😕 😔 its one of the reasons I signed up 4 their membership!

They need a no phone policy at the desk. I stood there for two minutes even said excuse me and she was still on her phone. Didn’t look up once. Guess I won’t be using the massage chair today. This wasn’t the first time either.

I have went to this club a week I was racially profiled by staff, they followed me around the gym. Twice I asked them to leave me alone. The guy told me I need to go up front he could not tell me what the problem was. I asked him to talk where I was when I did not he called the police on me told me I had to leave because they said so when I did nothing wrong. I was racially profiled and embarrassed. I also watched Walter tell a man he can come in with out a mask he will find him one also when I talk to Becky the Regional manager she just told me not to come back and she will review tape

Place was clean and nice. The front desk girl was very rude about everything, from taking my info, signing in to tan, and barking at me to put my mask on while taking a drink.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical to join this club until I actually went in and took a tour. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The club is not as busy as I thought that it was going to be at the times that I go. The equipment is clean and works good. The only downfall is theyve changed the time that youre allowed to be in Hyderabad. That really stinks especially at times when the club isnt busy. Recommend!!!

I love this Gym. Everyone literally minds their own workout. Not worried about what other people are doing. I have visited other Planet Fitness gyms and although they are nice this one feels more like home to me.

Front desk lady was amazing. But the other gentleman was giving me attitude. I called headquarters and I still havent received a response from them yet I would never return to that location ever again all I asked about was a t-shirt there free was very arrogantI didnt appreciate his attitude even the young lady at the counter his coworker even told him how he was acting and it matters not to him he was extremely rude I will never return to that location for matter fact I started a membership that day and I will never go there again ever I really should have just canceled my membership.

About half of people are working out improperly masked. They ignore staff requests to re mask and are not removed. A safety hazard

Multiple occasions the manager has been very short and disrespectful. The rest of the employees are great. One star because the manager should be the best employee not the worst.

I canceled my membership months ago I was charged $ 5.21 after my canceled membership called and ask for a refund was told no by a lady named lisa she told me I could call back and ask for the manager what a waste of time please check your credit card and bank statements will be calling my bank to get my money back O by the way lisa wa very unprofessional

I only come to this location when I leave work earlier but is much nicer and cleaner than the one in Troy. Staff is nice , gym is never super busy.

I only went in to see how different it was compared to the location on telegraph. I was greeted as well as shown around the gym. The equipment is newer and gym was clean and sticked. If I lived closer to the location I would definitely workout at this location a few weeks to see if I needed to change locations.

It has definitely improved over the last few months. Much cleaner and the staff is more engaged.

Staff is welcoming. Machines are pretty well maintained. Typical layout, bathrooms are clean and the 30-min workout area is normally open. Wifi leaves a little to be desired as its kinda slow, so if you want to stream a movie, download it at home before you head in. Audio/music seems to be fast enough however.

I go there multiple times a week. Workers are helpful and nice. Locker rooms are clean and the tanning is stand up only which I prefer the beds but I have a tan so clearly theyre just fine. Works for me!

I like it here because its not as over crowded as other planet fitness when I go. The one in Dearborn is always on over load and you have to wait around just for a treadmill at times. This one has some arm equipment the one in Livonia doesnt

I was going to join the Southfield facility. It smelled funny. I thought it might be the pool but they dont have one. I asked a few questions about fees, monthly payments and why I needed to give them my checking account number the lady became annoyed and gave me a letter to read. I didnt feel comfortable with the gym so Ill keep looking.

No longer is PF Southfield my home gym, as I have moved in the last few yrs, but the remodel is very nice compared to when I last was a regular here. I still come here on occasion when visiting family, and I do enjoy the upgraded facility, and large spacious location compared to my current local home PF.The stretching area and core area now have separate adjoining rooms, compared to the uncomfortably small open area once before. For someone who routinely is in these areas, I like the more private feel and positioning compared to before which was out in the open. Everything seems to be refreshed since I was last a regular here from equipment, locker rooms and massage areas. It looks really clean and compared to a few years ago a definite upgrade!As for staff, I have never had any issues. I was a regular member here for almost 5 yrs and during that time it was smooth. I am in the area now once every few months, and some of the staff from before I recognize but regardless the current staff whenever I have visited has been polite.

The instructors/trainers here are always around the area so they provide advice for anything that needs improvement to your workout. Highly recommended!

Why aren’t they 24 hours yet. Paying for 24 hour service but only getting 12-14

I totally enjoy the experience of going to Planet Fitness you can go at your own pace and there is no judgement truly no judgement. I was having Health concern and needed to get myself back on track and it has really helped me get where I need to be. It is a place where you can go and work out walk around shower after the workout. It is clean an affordable I definitely would recommend this place!:-)

If you want to come have a great workout its a great place.All the machines work, and it a clean. The staff dont do much but they are good at cleaning. However the staff here is young and it shows. They dont speak to me coming or going. I just keep my head phones on at this point

I have been a member of Planet Fitness in Southfield for almost 5 years. It has been a fantastic experience. The club is clean, has great equipment, training, variety of machines and work out opportunities. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they make you feel so at home.When this location closed for a few days for some remodeling, I went to two other clubs. Although they were newer and fancier, I greatly missed the Southfield club. A great shout out to Brandon, the manager, Sam, Aleesha, Jayson,Renee, and all the people who make the club such a welcoming place.I look forward to going there and am there at least 5 days a week. Since I started, I have seen a welcome weight loss, more relaxed, feel good, more energy, and a greater sense of well being. Thank you, Planet Fitness!

This place is a scam I went in a cancelled my membership got confirmation from the rep the that time it cancelled and then this place charged my card again and advised me that I would have to pay another 58 dollars to cancel. Never use this gym they a fraudulent business !!!

Great gym overall, A lot of machines that work, clean locker room, and many tvs. My only problem with Planet Fitness is the extra charge they charge you 10 bucks a month plus a $40 fee I signed up on April 17 with a $40 down payment and I have to pay another $40 annual membership fee on June 1 and that is in addition to my monthly fee so within 60 days I will be ab paid $90, not cool!

Havent used the facility in nearly a year or so, called to cancel membership, no answer. And the fees are being deducted from my account, even while the place is closed due to the virus. My bank said tor reach out to the gym first before putting in a stop payment order, which is my next move if I dont hear from them soon.

Lost 20lbs so far, cheap, clean and 24hrs to accommodate those of us who work late

Staff members are good at the job yes but customer service still trumps all. The snobby attitude I received was a bad first impression. Might have been a bad day or maybe the staff isnt equipped with enough etiquette #Seeforyourself

My home Planet Fitness is Wayne, MI, however, I realized this one is around the corner from my job so I decided to stop in. Ok facility - some equipment is outdated compared to other facilities I have been to. IF YOU ALSO WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I experienced two instances where the staff was rude to me two nights in a row. Not sure if I even want to go back. Even had one of the girls knocking on the door after my tanning session as I was getting dressed (even though I placed the in service sign on the door). :0( smh

Went in because I was considering membership. Explained that to the girl with braids at the desk. First of all, she didnt greet me when I walked up. Then she seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions and was very short and non-engaging. She didnt try to answer my questions. I ask her about how busy the place was and she shoved me a paper with a chart of their busiest hours and walked away. I was so annoyed I just walked out. This is not my first time coming to this location. I was a blackcard member elsewhere and came here to workout. I got the same response described above. I wasnt greeted. Staff seemed disinterested in helping. There was only one time that I went there and was greeted. Never saw that young man again. Whoever owns and operates this location really needs to check their staff and hiring manager. I also know another person who got the same treatment and they ended up joining another PF and stated that they refused to give the Southfield location any of her money. This location could be great if they got better, friendlier staff and made sure the air stays fresh. The facility always had an off putting odor, particularly in the ladies locker room.

This time was disappointing. I took my 17 year old son for a return workout. Apparently they lost the original waiver and we spent 20 minutes at the counter waiting for them to get things in order. What a waste of our workout time. We had to cut it short as a result of this.
