Great service and they stand behind their work if there are any issues. Ill be coming back here until my car is no worth fixing.

They did a great job. The owner not only got my problem fixed in less time than he told us, my mothers car had a problem as she we were about to leave. They took good care of her also. My mother said she would trust them again with more work if needed. My husband was happy to see Tony kept his word and took care of our car needs quickly.

I went here with prior knowledge that my heater hose and/ or bypass tube was leaking coolant. I left the car with them and they could only find my heater hose was leaking and ordered the part to advanced auto parts which didn’t fit the make and model of my vehicle. Following a self inspection, I found there was a huge leak on the bypass tube that would have easily been found if they inspected the engine bay while the car was running. All in all I was very dissatisfied but I will still give them 3 stars because the lady at the front desk was the sweetest with helping me with everything.

I took my truck back in January for repairs for my defrost and blower was fixed and then it stopped took back for them to charge me to redignose the same problem to charge medor the repairs which should have been free since they made the mistake or misdiagnosed the first time

Went in for an oil change, took 10 minutes and half an hour after I left my check engine light comes on pop the hood check the oil and NOTHING was done to my car....so it cost me $50 (trying to support local business) for them to hold my car for 10 minutes

We initially had our car fixed at a Nissan Dealership; after being overcharged for the repair, my wife and I noticed there was still an issue (a noise), which is why we had it repaired there in the first place. We had a few other minor problems with the repairs through the dealer, but this was the straw that broke the camels back. After reading other reviews, I came across Macs...after speaking and providing the specifics to Tony, he was almost certain he knew what the issue was. I have been bringing my ‘09 Impala to Tony for oil changes for over a year now but this week my check engine light came on. I needed the accelerated pedal assembly and evaporator vent solenoid repaired. Tony fit me in and their staff fixed these problems for an honest and reasonable price! Been going to Macs for over 10 years nice, clean, and all employees are awesome love the shop. Tried other places but always went back to Macs.

I broke down near this shop. The owner informed me that they were really busy but said if I decided to give him the work he would work late till it was done. He also offered for me to come and sit in the AC till I decided what I wanted to do even if it was just to get my vehicle towed. All workers were very helpful to my me in my time of need. I would recommend Macs to anyone. Very kind people and they also know their work very well.

Took my car in to get the AC fixed. Left the shop with my AC still not fixed and a new problem involving my engine overheating. Went to check the coolant level and it was completely drained. I had filled it up a few months ago so it shouldn’t have been empty. My car had been there from 8am to 6pm and they didn’t even fix the issue. I called them at 4pm to see if my car was finished and they said they hadn’t even touched my car yet and was asking what was wrong with it. I would not recommend taking your car here, ESPECIALLY if your a female. I ended up taking my car to another place to get fixed because I did not want them messing with my car again.

This is the first time that I visited Macs Auto Service, and I was extremely please with the great customer service, and excellent work that was done on my Cadillac CTS. I was so pleased with the experience, that I have a second car that I will be bringing to Macs in a few weeks to be serviced.

RAVE!!! To macs auto, hauled in with a gooseneck horse trailer that’s brakes weren’t working on my way thru to Michigan. Their mechanics couldn’t diagnose the issue within 30 minutes so they called in a diesel mechanic who had me up and running within 2 hours of getting there! Very professional and courteous, so grateful!!!

Let me start by saying WOW...The guys here at Macs are probably the most down to earth guys Ive ever met. They are truly honest in their repair quotes . Its rare these days to find a place were honest people truly care about the customer. Well Macs does care. I was basically stranded with a seized caliper and Macs was there to save my day. They had me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. They were more then fair in their pricing, but didnt lack in craftsmanship or attention to detail when repairing my car. This is not your average auto repair shop. After years of feeling like I’m being given an inaccurate account of the true repairs needed on my vehicle I was truly shocked at the simple repair estimate & low price given at Mac’s Auto. The customer service from Tony & his coworkers was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this auto repair shop to anyone looking for an honest & trustworthy mechanic.

I do not suggest or recommend this place, my vehicle broke down not even 24 hours after I got it back and has to wait another 3 days for them to fix the issue they caused and when I got it back my oil dip stick was broken off and had to use a pair of pliers to get it out and buy a new one, provided numerous parts and they didnt even return the other belt that they didnt end up using!!

I would highly recommend Mac’s Auto Service for your all vehicle maintenance and repairs.Mac’s would be “my mechanic” if I lived in the area.A brake line on my truck failed in Smyrna, DE on my way home to New Jersey.I called a friend of mine in Smyrna who recommended me to Mac’s Auto.Although they were extremely busy, they fit me in, replaced the brake line and sent me safely on my way.Mac’s is a courteous and professional organization that earn their excellent reputation by their actions.

The service I received was great and the customer service was beyond my expectations. I was given a quote and initial diagnosis on my Van the day before service and once the owner/technician started the work, they found that it was actually not as bad as originally diagnosed. Tony called to tell me the findings and this actually saved me over $300. I was impressed and touched with the honesty and integrity of this business. I will definitely be getting my Cars serviced here and referring friends and family.

This was awhile ago, but I felt the need to share my experience. I was on a long trip home with both of my small children. My car started acting funny, so I pulled into the nearest auto shop. I explained my situation, and the guys welcomed me inside while they looked at my car. I ended up needing new rotors and calipers. They quoted me a very reasonable price. I had no choice but to sit and wait, as I was hours from home and unfamilar with the area. As a single woman, running into this sort of issue can put you in some scary situations because not every person or business has the best intentions. Everyone there was top notch. They were friendly, welcoming, and even helped entertain my little ones. They worked quickly and even took a video of what was wrong and how they fixed it, so I could see the situation myself. I havent had any issues with my breaks since. I was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the entire staff was. If I lived closer I would definitely come back!

These guys are the best! My family and I were on our way to Lewis when the battery light came on in the car. We were scheduled for the Cape May Lewis Ferry and had to cancel. We came to Macs Auto though and they fixed my car which ended up being the alternator. They gave great service and got us in and out in a hurry so we were still able to reschedule and take our ferry ride. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Today was not the the day to have a flat tire. I walk around to get help and I ended up at this place and this gentleman ask me if i needed help and I sure did..I got a flat tire while pumping air in my tire. I know that it was extremely cold out and these gentlemanwasnt prepared to go out and get into this weather . But, they did! I really really appreciate it..it didnt long. My husband and family were traveling home from a long day in Philadelphia to the Eastern Shore with an hour to go when we had a low front tire and needed it repaired. This is a very professional shop. I have been in the Automotive business for almost all my life and these guys are great. I stopped in 1/2 hour before closing and asked them to install a small light bulb that my fingers are just to big to handle. No questions asked, he came out to my car and install the bulb that I brought with me. NO CHARGE. How can you beat customer service like that?

I had an awesome first experience with Macs Auto Service today when my car wouldnt start while parked in front of Royal Farms. I talked to Tony and he said they would be able to fit me in for service once they figured out what was wrong.Tony and several of the mechanics pushed my car over to the shop and they determined it was my battery. A new battery was ordered and installed and they had me on my way as quickly as possible. They went above and beyond to move my car to where it could be properly diagnosed. Thanks again guys for your help today. It was greatly appreciated!

Love it here! Swear I’m never going anywhere else for my car. Lube Depot in town disappointed me a lot, guy told me to “put my car in the front yard with a ‘take me’ sign and claim insurance.” Ever since I’ve been coming here Tony has taken wonderful care of me and my car, as well as Ed and Bobby. They’re very understanding and work with me and my money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone over Lube Depot, Mr. Tire, etc.

Took vehicle to Macs to pass inspection and after changing O2 sensors ,”fixing check engine light” ,and “fixing intake manifold” ($900 later) my vehicle still failed and check engine light came back on a mile after I left shop.I took to another mechanic and apparently the hose that was replaced was put on incorrectly and “the mechanic” put the tube on wrong, broke a piece, then tried to Gerry rig it .Now I’m without vehicle and have to wait until taxes to pay for original problem and extra damage done!I’d like to see certifications of his mechanics he employs.Also I should’ve been tipped off when everyone I know that goes to him for a repair usually has to go in for follow up because problem isn’t fixed!Exact excess damage done per mechanic EGR tube broken at upper plenum, apparent fresh JB weld used ineffectively to patch upper plenum.Was told that it was a hack job.

Its cheap, the company seems honest and they were quick. Given the option id go back to them again if anything else breaks.

I am a young adult who isn’t oblivious to mechanical work but am not proficient in the category. Finding a trustworthy and honest car mechanic/business is hard to come by these days. I heard from one friend that she took her car to Mac’s and had outstanding service so when my power steering on my car decided to lock up, I knew I needed a mechanic , and a great one at that. Mac’s Popped in my head so I immediately called them and was able to bring my car in the next day. First and for most to me customer service is such a strong characteristic towards great business because I’ve always worked in it and want to be respected as well as welcomed. Everyone at Mac’s had outstanding customer service skills and surely understood I was going to ask multiple questions ( sometimes more than once) and call back multiple times to keep updated. They were not only ok with me doing so, but encouraged it from the start. My vehicle was tough because my power steering unlike most cars was automatic( no power steering fluid,etc.) Usually cars goto the dealers when this happens and you pay an arm and a leg. I payed such a reasonable price and was assured that my car would be finished, correctly and in a timely manner and even when we hit a few bumps in the road Tony and Fran ( along with others I’m sure, whom I don’t know the names of) provided the service they said they’d provide and MORE. I have never dealt with a better visit to a shop than I did this time and I can say I finally found a forever shop for my current and future vehicles. 15/10 is the rating I give, along with far more than 5 stars. I’m sure I can speak for others when I say my car is my livelihood and I depend on it for everyday use for my career which means I need everything working efficiently. From something as simple as an oil change to a power steering malfunction- Mac’s Auto Service in Smyrna, Delaware is the place to go!

The mechanics at the shop were able to diagnose my problem. In addition I had a cigarette lighter that has not worked in years..they replaced a fuse and got that working also. The owner is very kind and wants to please the custumer.

Needed a quick wiper replacement. Vary frendly staff. The price for auto work is vary good on your pocket. I will definitely have this shop do work on my car. Nice waiting area with coffee and a tv to watch. This shop it for you and is not hard on your wallet.

I had a problem with my PT Cruiser. The first thing they said was PT Cruisers are funny to work on. Macs was the 5th place I went to cause no one else could tell me what was wrong. These poor guys spent 3 days working on my car. They were awesome. They didnt treat me like crap like some other places cause Im a girl. They were honest and werent tryna fix things that werent broken. I already went through that at other places. (Spending lots of money and didnt fix the problem) They were very good to me and wanted to get to the bottom of it. I highly recommend Macs for all auto repairs and service. They definitely wont over price your service and will treat you with respect (ladies). Good, honest, and hard working guys! Thank you Macs for everything you did for me!

I was heading back to Wilmington, and my car spiked in temperature. I went to NAPA, and they referred me to Mac’s Auto Service. I said what happened, and Tony squeezed me in to see if they could detect a problem, so I could get home safely. They let me watch as JP and Michael diagnosed the problem and talked about potential causes. Michael determined one of my fan fuses had been removed, and replaced it free of charge. If I lived in the area, Tony and his crew would be my go-to mechanics. Thank you!

In the middle of my trip from CT to VA my car check engine light came on and car wouldnt go more than 20mph without acting up. Drove off the highway and 1st shop I located was Macs. I told them my story and was worried it was my transmission. Since I was traveling they took me ahead of everyone. Checked the engine light and thankfully it was a throttle sensor. They located the part and helped me on the price since I was just passing thru. They are deserving of more than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and I highly recommend them if you are local or just passing thru like me.
