New customer with Vast, but their service has been consistent and their customer service has been better than most other providers that I’ve dealt with. I specifically want to commend their sales rep Brett Carter who helped introduce me to the service and offered their phone number to contact them for help. Goes a long way to help put a face to a company and have someone consistent you can talk to.

Have had great customer service whenever we have had issues but like the other big name competitors as soon as the year promotion is up they jack your prices up. Loyalty with a business means paying more I guess so now we have to shop around for other service. I wish there would be more appreciation for people continuing to give them their business.

Their service is spotty at best. Switched from Midco on the promise that they would be much more consistent and closer to the actual 1,000 MBPS that they advertise. First few weeks were great but ever since then, my speeds have seriously dropped off. They, like all ISPs, want you to restart your modem and claim that your equipment is at fault. They claimed I had 900 into my modem, which is great. However, connected directly to their modem I was only getting 395 down. Seems to me like a hardware issue. Had a tech out and argue with me over ethernet cables connecting items hardline. Funny thing is, I am a network engineer and know alot more about equipment and cabling then their installers and explained to him that my Cat6 cable is perfectly capable of handling Gig speeds, this also include my NIC cards in my devices. Tech didnt really care and nothing was resolved.

I’ve literally been getting a “Vast Broadband” advertisement every week sent to me in the mail since I moved in to my new address, saying they serviced the area. Just called to set it up and was told they actually DONT service the area... please stop sending advertisements when you don’t even provide services there!!!

Highly upset. Was supposed to get an install today as a brand new customer. They call me when their supposed to be here to tell me someone called off so now they cant come. Completely unacceptable......They should already be prepared for employees calling in. They should give an extra install to each person and spread out the caseload. If people have to work an extra 2 hours so be it. Thats life! Im a Nurse and they can keep us for a whole 20 hours in one day and we have to do it all the time. Maybe the managers should be out picking up these extra installs????? They obviously do not care at all about their customers or keeping business. Ill go somewhere else for internet.

I have been with Vast a long time and NEVER had issues with them!!! There will be the normal outage here and there after blizzards and other harsh weather or slow service at high volume of connections in the home just upgrade and it works amazing again. I have always had them help me when I called and they are always efficient in getting the issue fixed quickly! Would HIGHLY recommend!! I want to move them over to my new place in a whole new state!! I hope they service my area!!

They hired an out of state underground digging company to enter my fenced in property with out informing or asking me. Dug up my yard and placed an ugly green plastic box in the back. I wasn’t sure who they were and thanks to google I now know they provide internet, yet I never asked them or plan on using them as well as my neighbors around me. Not sure why they wanted to dig up my yard. Hopefully they take out they mess they left with before I can fix it.

We’ve been Vast customers for about four years now. Every time we’ve contacted the company we have ended the conversation feeling better about being Vast customers. We dealt with the big fish Sioux Falls company for years before switching over, and they never came close to matching Vast’s service or customer support. I’ll work with a company that tries to earn your business over a bloated big fish that just assumes you’ll buy from them any day of the week.Just upgraded my service again, and the turn-around-time for installation was just one day. Being a Vast customers just feels good, man.

Does not matter what speed you get. Literally can be connected with an Ethernet cable and it still barely works. I would venture to guess all 5 star reviews are left by individuals who were paid to leave that review or work for Vast. Seriously terrible. If you have any other option available I would recommend you go with that other company.

Were not recommend services through vast. Other service over a year and a half now. I was referred to them from a friend. Im sorry short either one of us got her before our money and my bill is constantly being charged for reconnect fee even though Ive never been disconnected. They will not troubleshoot for you if you do not rent their equipment. And for whatever reason smart home items such as light bulbs door locks doorbells will not connect without them coming in servicing the residence!

Amateur hour. You have to pay a fee to pay your bill online EVERY TIME and half of their website links dont work. Good luck trying to chat online with a customer service rep. They also have no options for email/ text alert preferences. I expected more on the customer service end. Still on the fence about internet service, but it seems to be working well so far.Update: Im now pretty sure this business is a scam. Just try calling their customer service phone number listed on your bill or their website or Google or everywhere for that matter, and you find its not IN SERVICE.

This is in reference to 2 different accounts. Both my elderly parents. First my father. You installed the service but never got it going on the TVs. So for the first month he paid for service that he wasnt using and wouldnt have realized it either cuz he trusted you guys. Bad idea. Then he was told 200 for speed. Was getting 38. They came out bla bla bla said they needed to upgrade the wire to house. No contact or attempt to make contact was made so you guys just jumped the fence and broke a post in the process. Called about that. An email was sent to BUD the service supervisor and I was told Id be contacted with in 48 hours. That was over 2 weeks ago and nothing. Called on the speed again. They sent tech 1073 out and he lied right to my face saying that 200 speed is completely dependent on the technology and not possible. I can see that to an extent. But not on TVs that are less then a year old. Cuz when I called in to discuss the issues I was having with tech support they told me the tech lied. So vast techs are liars and their supervisors do not give a flying Frick about your property and making amends for damages. And my mother pulls 28 when shes paying for 200. Long story short. They lie to your face and destroy your property and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. If anyone out there is looking for quality? Well it starts with an M and ends with co.vast is a dishonest crooked company.

Been with them for over 30yrs, called today to de-activate my work number and they simply de-activated my home number. When I called it they acted like it was my fault! How can it be my fault when I said the number over 50 times, maybe say hey I am sorry, instead of acting like I am wasting your time. Your company takes my money each month, doesnt call to provide promo deals, act like I owe you my business when really you should be keeping customers! Worst ever!

Poor experience with LTE service. Several service interruptions, some just a few hours, others a couple days. Last week speeds were 3-9MBPS on a 30MBPS service plan. Switched to a competitor, getting 45MBPS on same devices for $5 more a month. Customer service and installers have been very good, service is poor.

We have had terrible experience with our internet services with Vast and our customer service experiences have been even worse. We are now on day 6 with no internet connection and every time we call they tell us they are having problems with their tower in the area and that someone is working on it, but that they do not know when they expect it to be up. They have been less than helpful in trying to rectify the situation and have absolutely no care in the world that they are causing us to incur extra fees from our wireless carrier for the amount of data we have been burning through as we have been having to use our cell phone hot spot in order to work remotely and get school work completed. This is not the first time we have dealt with a situation like this, but I can promise that this will be the last as we have had enough and will be canceling our service with them. Stay FAR AWAY from Vast!Edited to add: I gave Vast the opportunity to resolve the service issues as well as the customer service issues and they again gave me the run around, gave me conflicting information and said they would not be able to do anything other than pro-rate the time I have gone without service, but not until my service was restored, which they had no ETA on. We have canceled our service through Vast and have now signed up with Rise Broadband. If you are looking for internet service in rural Lennox, SD, I would consider looking at every other option before resorting to Vast.

Ive been with VAST for 5yrs. Husband death I turned off the cable but have always had computer. Last week i call and had cable put back on. Today I waited all day I call lady and she said they are comming out today. Called 4 pm and the guy couldnt find my order. WHAT, No one from VAST called to try to clear this all up.

Vast has such good prices and over the 4 years we had them never had issues with slow service. However, we are moving and they don’t service our new address which sucks seems there are a lot of areas they still don’t service. We will definitely switch back ASAP when they have service up and running in the new area!!

Just moved to Worthing from Sioux Falls. There I had Midco 100 and never had ANY issues. Since starting internet with Vast 3 days ago (because they are the only provider in Worthing) I have only had issues. I have not been able to use any streaming service without having to either shut off the TV or unplug the internet. I even purchased DOUBLE the speed with Vast. To give reference the only devices we have are 2 smartphones and a smart tv. Plan on leaving a review every month I live in Worthing. Only reason they get two stars for this month’s review is because the billing and installation reps I talked to were very nice.

I’m not happy with your services and what happen with this so called vast vip service more like a second class service? I called into the call center to inform them that my speed on my computer was still slower than what it’s suppose to be after the tech looked at my service. They said the current speeds are good and there is nothing they could do for myself. I asked for a supervisor about getting somewhat of a proration due to the downtime I had for the past couple of weeks and she said I’m already getting a discount on there services and could give me just two days. I don’t think this hurts a multi billion dollar company who makes me pay my bill month in advance anyway. To top this off, the tech took my cable splitter that he was to lazy to replace for a new one. Now, I have to go into amazon and buy myself a new one. This whole situation makes me want to switch internet providers and find someone more reasonable to work with.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I am so disappointed in this company. We had them years ago and decided to go without cable for a while. When a sales guy came to our house, we decided to try it again, but we asked a lot of questions. We really wanted to understand what the billing would look like and we thought we understood it. When the first and second bills came, though, we were so confused and called to get help. We were told totally different information by so many agents over the 5-1/2 months. On top of this, we had so many issues with our cable and internet. There were interruptions and our TV would not come on with the cable box/remote. When we called to get assistance with these issues, the agents and technicians would essentially badmouth one another or totally discount what the others had told us. Ugh! We finally decided to cut off the cable and just stick with the internet. Well, we paid our final bill for the cable and thought we were going to be fine. Yesterday we began to experience trouble with our internet. I called today and was told that they had disconnected it due to nonpayment of our last bill. We just got that bill and it’s not even due until the 10th! What the heck?! We are so done with them. We told them they can now disconnect the internet and we are done with them all together. I was so angry! We have to have our internet though, because we have an exchange student that needs the it for her homework. So she’ll have to use the hotspot from our iPad. Luckily we have unlimited data, or we’d up a creek without a paddle until we can change to another company. Thanks, Verizon, for the unlimited data hotspot!!

I had a much different review on here about poor customer service! I just deleted it however because I realized one sour apple cant ruin the whole bunch. After I posted my first review a manager from Vast called me and he was AMAZING! Probably why he is a manager! I just want to acknowledge the good that happened here. The manager I spoke to went above and beyond!! For that I am very appreciative and will say I have never had a problem in the past with this company and have had them for years (even before they were Vast). Customer Service means a lot to me when I am the customer and paying for a service. So even though there was one bad Apple, I would still recommend this company, because management is amazing in the way they handle customer service dissatisfaction! 99% up time and whenever I call support, which its often, I am always greeted with a warm knowledgeable voice. Last time i called to active the new modem i just bought they told me i could up my speed and save $10 a month! So i did. Vast also just up all of their package speeds at no additional cost!

Worst internet Ive had. Our Alexa shuts off constantly when we are listening to music, hulu resets constantly when we watch tv. When we signed up for it they told us a crew would be out to bury the cable on this date, one guy came out and ran a temporary cable all the way around our house. 2 months later in the freezing cold a couple of guys showed up at our door to bury the cable. They were from houston and have to do so many houses a day to keep their contract. We told them its almost impossible to bury that cable now because the temp has been below freezing for a few days now. And all they had was a shovel. But vast just wants your money that bad!

Well Im a new customer I migrated over from midco because they kept raising the prices on me I got the 400 mb package . Im getting speeds of 30 mb and being a gamer I dont even want to get into that I downloaded the game it took freaking 4 hours I called them theyre sending a tech I dont know I guess you get what you pay for which technically isnt that much from midco Ive only had this service for 3 days Im thinking about getting rid of it... And another thing I was quoted a price of 170 for TV and internet and after two days I have a bill of 250.. Im not happy right now

Service drops constantly. Some weeks, we cant even use it. Other weeks, its fine. Weve ran several speed tests and they all came up dismally slow for what we are paying. Weve talked to Vast several times about this, only to have them say, It looks good on our end! Several neighbors have complained about this as well and have asked if there was a different service in our town. There isnt. All the frustrated people in town are wanting answers and help. Were not getting anywhere fast with Vast, unfortunately.

We moved to the area a month ago. We first decided to get internet. It was installed, no problems. Happy with tech and service. Decided to use Vast for cable as well,l instead of moving our directv again for an additional high fee as well as other charges. Called sales department and set up to have a tech come install the cable. I asked what would be required and she said just the two TiVo boxes and the connection. Not once was anything mentioned about possibly needing another tech, charges involved with installing outlets or anything like that. Three days later the tech shows up to do the install. I am informed after 30 minutes of him being here that it will cost an extra $75 PER OUTLET INSTALL to get cable in our house. A total of $375 extra on top of our bill. And even if we went that route, we would have to reschedule because it would take two guys and up to 4 hours. If I had known of these charges I could’ve planned for all of this, but nothing was ever mentioned and my time and the techs time was wasted. I called customer service and was told I could do installs on outside walls for $20 a piece and a couple inside which would be $75 a piece with a total of $250 and they would waive the $50 truck call. REDICULOUS! I understand it isn’t an easy job and that it takes time, but it is not my fault that the Vast sales team did not mention the possibilities for the charges or prepare for the possibility of the cable outlets not being there. I have already paid a rediculous amount of money to cancel my directv contract and now if I want cable will either have to pay for an electrician to come install the outlets, plus the fees for vast to come back, or pay more than my total bill just to have vast install them for me. I am not happy and the issue was not resolved correctly!

Slow internet. 60% of the time i have to reset it because everything is laggy. Cant play xbox with either version tried the 50$ and 70$ options for internet and this is easily a twice a week thing for resetting. Only other devices using wifi is 2 cell phones. Even had an employee come look at it and just to hear how everything looks good. Good way to get ripped off. Luckily enough for them. Theyre the only place in my area that offers unlimited. Good timely customer service but your products arent efficient at all. I pay direct tv less a month for t.v than i pay vast for internet only. What a joke.

The internet itself is fine. Expensive, but fine. However, we got our cable last fall with the promise that our cable would be buried first thing this Spring. It is not nearly July and it has still not been done. Made close to 10 phone calls regarding this issue and it is still not done. We would like to get landscaping done and yard work, however, we cannot due to the cable. Really inconvenient and Vast does not seem to care even a little.

Switched from midco after a salesman from vast stopped by my house. I was pretty tired of seeing initial prices rise so much, so when the salesman promised only a 10 dollar increase after the first year, I was sold. Fast forward a year, I see my payment double. I reached out to customer service, they were unable to help at the time. The next week customer service reached back out and resolved the issue entirely. I never would have expected this from a SD ISP, who typically have to few competitors to care about customer complaints.Good service, good customer service. The only SD ISP I have seen to back their words with action.

I was provided many guarantees about quality of service, a dedicated service team for business needs, maintenance notification, 24/7 response times, etc. I was also promised a cheaper plan. When it came time to sign the papers, they did a bait-and-switch, claiming only a higher priced plan was available.From the beginning, I experienced numerous issues with stability. Their exceptional service team asked me if I got link lights on the modem and then said thats as much as they can do. Further, they claimed that they do absolutely no filtering whatsoever of CARP/VRRP addresses. This appears to be true, which is an absurdly scary security mistake.This evening, I had another outage and contacted them only to find out that I was part of a planned network outage... one that Id been given absolutely no warning about.It also turns out they dont segregate business plans with static addresses from DHCP pools, meaning my network still needs to process thousands of ARP requests per minute. This is an indication that the only difference between static and dynamic is the reservation, which is another security nightmare.I also found that they add extra charges depending on how you choose to pay your bill. Ive even been charged a late fee because they screwed up processing my payment. After six months of service, theyve still not bothered to get my cable buried, despite multiple calls.When I asked about IPv6 support, the rep didnt know so they escalated the question to a senior engineer where I was informed, in order for IPv6 to be useful, everyone in the world would need to use IPv6, and nobody uses IPv6, so we dont support it. ... IPv4 has literally been exhausted. For a network engineer, this is entirely unacceptable.Overall, Vast Broadband is providing an absolutely terrible service at substantially more than the service is worth. I suspect that even Vast Broadband considers their service inferior, considering their own website is hosted on OVH.

Well using this company I have been harrassed by them about my data usage on their 150 mb unlimited account. Today I received a call stating that if I do not use less then 2tb that we will have to part ways. After asking why they didnt put that number in there usage policy that was stated to me as the reason for the call. The person I talked just kept saying that it doesnt comply with their policy. At this time this company seem to have dishonest unlimited data usage policy as there is a 2tb cap to it or they will disconnect you.

Never got billed, they disconnected service after 2 months and then reconnected with out me knowing so they can charge a reconnect fee and then late fees. Called to find out where my bill is and they said there was no address on file (heard this happen from other people also) after telling them my address again I still did not get a bill. After another month and another phone call I finally get the bill, but while I was on the phone I complained about the charges and they dropped the reconnect fees and late charges. Next bill I get has reconnect fee and a late charge on it. That was it I was done, its obvious they were trying to scam more money out of there customers.

Ongoing issue with connectivity. Theyve fixed the issue several times. It still doesnt work. If the TV is on for an hour it will crash at least four-five times in that hour. I pay SO much money for this service. Vast, of course, will charge you over $100/month for service that is regularly inconsistent.

This is the most unreliable internet service provider I have ever had the misfortune to have ever used. It is constantly down for no reason. It seems to be especially bad during the summer. We consistently go over our cell data because of our inability to connect to our crappy wifi.

Highway robbery is what they are all about! We just learned of Vast when we were let down by one of the other places. (I had never heard of them before) We moved and were supposed to get our internet hooked up.... the other guys came out that day to let me know they needed a form signed (which was on their website... and they should have told us in advance so it would have been done in advance) so they said we had to wait another week. Instead I posted on fb and asked for alternatives. a fb friend suggested Vast.... they were out the next morning (I called at 4:30pm) and they have been AWESOME for us! We stream video and have multiple computers, tablets and phones going at any given time.... never had a speed problem. I hope I can get Vast at our other property.... we would love to switch to them there too!

We have been using Vast since September 2015 in our office building. In that time they have been great to work with. Prior to using Vast we had Midco, which was over twice the price and the speeds are comparable.Now i will note, that sometimes during peak times, the internet slows down a little, but hardly noticeable. Anytime we have had any technical issues, that are out to fix the issues within a hour. Midco would take 1-2 days.Very happy were able to make the switch!

This service is the worst possible. We cannot get the Eagles games without upgrading. Lost half our channels when they decided to upgrade. The cost is outrageous and customer service is a nightmare. We went over a year with internet that kept cutting in and out randomly and we never knew how long it would be out. My husband was taking tests and the internet would kick out causing him to fail. He called about it and they told him it was not their problem and they would not reimburse us for any of the costs for the class he failed or for the lack of service. If you ask us, we wish they did not have a monopoly where we live and that MIDCO would buy them out only to show them how a real company should be ran.

Vast will restrict broadband service in the early morning hours. Youll wind up with 0 to 100 Mbps down and 0 to 1 Mbps up. - Avg= 30down,.3 up. - Very poor internet service.

Ok internet is the worst connection ive ever had swimax was 10 times better I constantly lose connection im about to switch to midco ive sat on the phone with yall for five min before close and nothing yall waited till close and ignored my calls this isnt the first time this had happed yall are lazy and dont take care of your customers.

So I called them because our Internet slowed to a crawl. A tech came out, replaced our modem, and when I got our next bill, it was $40 more than normal ($160+). I called them and was told a $6/mo. modem fee was being charged. I was never told there would be this fee; furthermore, they told me the additional charge was some kind of prorated amount their system added by mistake. What?? They cant undo it to make it like it was. Bye bye Wow, hello Midco. Midco will end up being about $10 cheaper anyway. Its OK though, the customer service rep made my bill the same as last month as a courtesy lol.

My dad passed away, they are requiring me to present a death cert in person. I live in ne and dont have any more PTO so I cant take a day off during the week to cancel, they are charging me until I can get there to cancel! Every other place Ive had to cancel services has allowed by phone and a mailed in copy of the death cert, Verizon had no issues, insurance had no issues, but cable and phone I cant cancel! Its ridiculous and I will not pay for my dads empty house to have cable!!!! Worst customer service and the only issue Ive had in changing his account info is his cable.....just wow.....

Do NOT use Vast, their service is awful, their customer service is rude and unhelpful, they do nothing but tell you to turn things on and back off, which any idiot could figure out how to do. If you have any alternative use that, because a can with two strings would have better internet service than this joke of a company.
