I usually use USPS for my shipping needs as a small business owner, and take my packages to Lewis Drug on 10th St, where the gals there are absolute dolls and always thank me. But, on 4 occasions, I have had to use UPS, and Lewis doesnt take those, so I go to this place because it is close to my home. I also already have my packages with the shipping labels, so I just need to drop them off. The first time, the guy literally yells at me to just put them on the table! The second time, the place was closed during business hours! Third time, he was there, but just looks at me from behind the counter and doesnt say anything..no hi..go to hell..nothing! Fourth time was today. I was there at 345pm. Doors locked..no one inside. 3 other customers stopped too and we all were wondering the same thing: WHY IS A BUSINESS CLOSED DURING BUSINESS HOURS?! Signs on doors say they are open until 530pm.

This shipping and u-haul is top knotch ***** 5 star service. We were greeted,we got great and personable service and the cost was much better than anticipated. I will continue to bring all my shipping to Matt at Sioux Falls Safe Ship on east 10th Street. This was very convienent! The store is well laid out, easy to find boxes and packing supplies if you need them. They are reasonably priced or free! Matt took care of an elderly couple on a u-haul rental and he explained everything in a quick and friendly manner. Cant say enouph good things about my experiance, but i will look to Safe Ship for all my packaging and shipping needs.

The guy was extremely rude and refused to accept a package that was being picked up by DHL. I went to the UPS store on Minnesota Ave and they are no longer a DHL drop-off location but the manager was so nice and helped us mail the package.

DONT GO HERE!!! Very terrible the way they handled my packed and charged me triple the cost to ship it. Told me he would take 20% off if i left a good review. Obviously i said no. The packed arrived in pieces!!

I have used Safe ship numerous times and have never had an issue.I have shipped in the USA and to the UK,with no problems.Would highly recommend.Great customer service and great prices. This is the only place I feel confident shipping from!!

Online says they are open at 8:30 am and his sign says 8:35 am at the store. Still at 8:40 am no one is there. We wasted time and were in a hurry to get out of town. Also, another couple got there at 8:30 am also to drop off there Uhaul and were very made and speed off after waiting too. Update your site with the correct hours to match your sign and be at your shop when it says its open online. Not happy.

Do NOT do business with them! Honestly worst customer service ever. The guy, hes a complete piece of work and I have no idea how they have stayed in business. All the poor reviews are 100% accurate. He chooses the people he wants to be kind too. UPS was so much more customer service oriented and also, they did not charge to have 2 pieces of tape on my box with an already pre-paid label . Safe Ship will definitely turn service away if Matt Ellis even has a hangnail that is bothering him.

We had a UHaul moving truck rented three days prior to pick up. We arrived early for the pick up time to assure that we would receive the moving truck for our needs. No one was in the store and no signs were there stating that the store hours had changed or that the store was closed. I will never choose to pick up or drop off a UHaul at this location again. I will also tell my family and friends to find an alternative. Very displeased with this kind of “service”.

Terrible customer service. Had sent out two packages asking for insurance on both. One was damaged and after submitting the claim found out insurance was not placed on the packages. I decided to give this place another chance and was informed not to package materials in his store because Im not an office. Very good way to lose business.

Showed up at 10:00am and its closed.Sign on door and google say hours for today are 8:30am-5:30pm, why is there nobody here in the middle of the day? Waited half an hour because I really needed this shipped today and watched 20+ try to stop by.

The rudest people on the planet. Should be shut down! This place is actually misnamed! It should be called Ship at your own risk! I went to Safe Ship to mail a bill and talked to Jay who works there. I gave him the 48 cents for a 1st class stamp and he said he would mail it for me. I trusted him at his word. He did mail my bill out but did not stamp it. It got returned to me for insufficient postage. The next time I went to mail a letter at Safe Ship Jay told me again not to worry about it and he would mail it. When I told him what happened that it got returned for insufficient postage, he became insistent AND very rude and said he would mail it. When I asked to stamp the letter myself he said no and refused me service. This is why I dont go to Safe Ship. I live close to Safe Ship and talked to some of my neighbors who used to go there. They all have had similar bad experiences that I had and they too refuse to go there. I guess I consider myself lucky, considering what some other people lost when they did business there!

I went to them to return by books. I had everything ready to ship including shipping label. One of the books disappeared and I ended up having to pay late fees and pay the value of the book. When I brought it up to the owner, he did nothing to help. I would not recommend this place.

Walked in to return a Uhaul from a one way and observed Matt being incredibly rude to a customer (who seemed confused about his shipping service). Matt proceeded to refuse service to this customer and told him to go to UPS instead without explaining any further. When it came time for my service, Matt was unfriendly and refused to refund my deposit that was clearly stated online and in my paperwork. He implied for me to call and figure it out on my own and offered no further assistance. I would reccomend avoiding this business at all costs and going to somewhere that is a legitimate business. Might need to rename this place $hitty Ship

Dont waste your time here I was trying to ship a ups package he said I cant ship it in envelope need to buy a 3 dollar box so went across street got a box from autostore was told it will be a buck to tape shut I was going to run across street to have them tape shut and was told not to come back he will not ship my ups package so went to ups store on 33 and Minnesota they had no problem shipping same package said they here this a lot about safe ship guy and they would of sent it out in envelope it came in with no issues I will not come back

Wow. The customer service is beyond terrible. How this place stays in business is beyond me. Not only was the man rude, I was scolded for not taping the box, charged $1.00 for tape and told, its to prove a point. When I asked for a receipt he threw all my things in one box and told me to go elsewhere. As I walked out he said, Wow. I have worked with middle school kids with more integrity and professionalism than this man has. Sad.

I dropped off a stamped letter to go out on Monday. It was only going to Brandon so I figured it would make it on Tuesday! so I called safe ship to ask him about it and he was very rude to me on the phone. Then found out it didnt get to Brandon again wed. so I called again and he goes I already explained this all to you yesterday when you called here!!! I put it in the mail and the lady comes and gets it! then had the nerve to tell me you DO NOT NEED to call back here again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to ship two boxes and didn’t know they charged a dollar to tape each box. Had to go get cash from my car and when I went back in to pay he said take it to a ups store. Worse customer services ever. First time trying to do business with them and never again.

Do not use, go somewhere else. If you do use and need to insure a package. absolutely do not package it yourself. I sent a 90lb 1200.00 dollar package through these guys when i told them i wanted it insurance he asked if it was packed good and i said it was. when guy recieved package the package it was all beat up and product was damaged. when guy submitted claim we were denied because packaging was not up to shipping standards that were not previously mentioned at all. I am not informed that my package needed to be double boxed with 4in of padding inbetween two boxes and then stuffed with padding, or that i could not use a used box. all of which i am sure that he knew since this is what he does for a living. my advice stick to the post office. no matter the price. insurance and information is non-existent at this place. long story short out 1300.00 because of these guys.

These people are crooks. They rented us a Uhaul with a battery that needed to be jumped 4 times (the first time in their parking lot) and not once mentioned that their piece of crap trucks come with roadside assistance. They also misrepresented the gas guage and charged us for MOVING THE DOLLEY so we could pack our stuff in the truck! No mention of that either. Total mileage on that truck for our move was less than 20 miles and we were charged to fill up the tank plus another $30 fee.It is horrible to give a product to a customer that neither your business, nor the company itself will back up. I would never, ever use either company again. They will not explain their contracts to you but once your signature is there they shut the door and wave bye bye. Once they have your money they dont care if their equipment works or not. I can give you an 800 number.... and guess what that rep will say? No, you cant talk to a manager, you signed a contract. If I knew they were crooks, I would have walked every single thing I owned to my new house!I hope they are happy with themselves. A couple of old man thieves taking advantage of small families. There will be complaits filed with the Better Business Bureau (which I doubt they belong to as they are crooks) and make very very sure this community knows not to use this business! Pure and utter disgust, they need to be shut down.

Looks like this place has a new owner Matt. I have done a lot of business at safe ship the past couple of years (i ship a lot of things with my business) and have always been treated well (under the previous owner). Well I went there yesterday, i had some prepaid items that needed to be shipped, and one of my vendors gave me the account number to bill them with UPS. The new owner Immediately recognized that i was not going to be paying anything on this visit and became EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful, I had questions on how to fill out some paperwork, he refused to help stating multiple times that it is not worth his time to help me on a transaction that would not yield him any revenue. The unfortunate thing is he does not realize that i have done a lot of business there over the years and send people all the time to that location. Well never again! Avoid this place at all costs!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! If he keeps this up he wont last long!!!!
