We had a last minute event (less than 2 weeks notice) for a group of 40. Called Chef Dominique’s and they were not sure if they could accommodate us. Called back in less than a couple hours. They had to large events already booked for that day. They said they could still help us but were unable to deliver. We needed to pick up from them. I was a little concerned about that, but the concern was for no reason. When we arrived, everything was ready to go, no explanations needed. Everything was perfectly organized. Set up was a breeze. We needed nothing additional!!! Food was excellent! Our event was a huge success thanks to Chef Dominique and his staff. We will definitely be back. Great service, great food and amazing staff! Thank you Chef Dominique!

Chef Dom catered our wedding and did a gorgeous job of not only providing delicious food, but creating a beautiful presentation! The tablescapes, the layout, the setting - everything was perfect. Ive been told by several of our guests that it was the best food theyve ever had at a wedding. Were so grateful for Chef Dom and Jess for all the attention to detail and work they put into our big day and Id recommend them to everyone in the Sioux Falls area.

Chef Dominiques prices on his website do not match his written proposal. The website prices are cheaper. When I inquired about this he told me The prices on the website were wrong, the prices change daily and I was free to chose another caterer. I am exercising that choice.***Update***I was not told when I first inquired that the prices were out of date. Three days later, I received a proposal that didnt match the website than I was told the prices were out of date. Most costumer friendly businesses honor their posted prices.

Every single time I have Chef Dominiques food I leave hating myself...for eating so much! Its too good to pass up. Their staff is professional. The food is always amazing. As for Chef Dominique? I cannot recommend enough!

SF Pride recently held our annual gala. This year we were virtual. Chef Doms created charcuterie boxes for our sponsors and guests for purchase. We have received amazing feedback on the quality and presentation of the boxes. Chef Dom and his team ALWAYS fantastic work!

We have used them every catering event we host. They have been 100% reliable and amazing. Setup is always beautiful and the food never fails to be delicious!! The staff is friendly and helpful.

Tremendous food great ambience awesome staff attention to detail

My husband and I had a destination wedding to Sioux Falls this past winter to be close to family. We were so pleased with our decision to hire Chef Dominiques to cater our wedding. Everyone commented on how scrumptious the food was. They have a variety of seasonal vegetables and showcased them all so beautifully. Above all, I was impressed by the professionalism of Chef Doms staff. Stacey made sure to let me know when food was about to be plated and in the weeks leading up to the wedding she was there to respond to any questions I had about place settings, glass ware or linens. She even arranged for us to have a cute hot cocoa stand, and helped us select hors doeuvres for the cocktail hour. Chef Doms food and service impressed me more than any caterer I have ever hired and I would 100% recommend them for any event.

Everyone at Chef Dominques is absolutely incredible! The staff are friendly, outgoing, caring and genuinely in service make sure their guests are received and handled with love. Lets not forget... Their food is incredible!

We had the most wonderful experience working with Chef Dom and his staff. Stacey, their event coordinator, was accommodating of our time, schedules and finances when it came to planning the wedding reception. She helped stay on track and up to date on any changes made to the menu. She was flexible when it came to any request we had and also helped us with making sure we didnt forget anything needed for our reception. The staff on the night of our wedding reception were attentive to the needs of the bridal party as well as the guests. Everyone was thrilled with the food, service and overall experience Chef Dominiques provided. The night went off without a flaw and that is thanks to their hard work, expertise and professionalism. There is nothing more to say than outstanding. A year and a half later, people are still talking about our food. They made sure everything went smoothly, and despite our venue being an hour and a half away from Sioux Falls, the food was fresh and hot. They worked with us on all the details to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. Plus, getting to attend the tasting beforehand was extremely helpful. Absolutely exceptional service, and would recommend to anyone.

We booked Chef Dominiques for our daughters wedding June 2014 and had a wonderful experience. Stacey and the staff were outstanding and took care of everything we asked for. The food was beyond delicious; the presentation of the buffet was spectacular; the tables were set beautifully. Jessica and Jerrod were always near to make sure we felt everything was in order and going as we expected. Chef Dom and his team recently catered our wedding on our familys farm near Canton, SD. Stacey and Jess were amazing to work with from the beginning. We wanted a very different menu than anything Chef Dom had done before - we were looking for South Indian - American fusion with family style meal. They pulled off an amazing meal that both the Indians and Americans loved. We have gotten so many compliments. People have remarked that normally wedding food is so bad but this was amazing!!! His serving and bartending staff was amazing and efficient. They made what could have been a very stressful part of the wedding, a breeze!

Their food is delicious (especially the mashed potato bar!) and the staff is always very professional. Nothing but exceptional compliments from all the attendees for each event that I have been at where Chef Dom is the caterer. I would recommend them for any event where you want to impress your guests.

Ive heard stories and now have tasted for myself, they lack attention to details for food and service and relatively high cost for what youre getting.Heres a few critical mistakes that I noticed:Salad was dumped from a bag, not cut up into bite sized portionsRoast beef was dry by the point it was served, they kept it warm too longSpinach artichoke dip was almost inedible because it had way too much cream along with raw flour (rue done incorrectly) and whole spinach leaves.Fresh Mango salsa had little heat or flavor and the mango chunks didnt taste like mango. They arent in season, but their are ways to bring out the flavor regardless.Caramelized veggie platter: Everything was slightly cold or below room temp, carrots werent caramelized. Not sure if its obvious, but previously caramelized now cold sweet potatoes arent tasty.Ham balls were fairly good, but with one small chafer, they were out and no one was restocking them.ServiceServers took dinnerware away shortly after we finishing eating, which was a great touch, but they asked for our water glasses as well and said there are drinks in the corner and left. They didnt ask if we were done, just that they needed our glasses regardless if we just filled it and were still thirsty.Everyone wearing a serving coat did not fit them well, at all. Not clean shaven, did not have a smile on their face, etc.I understand its Sioux Falls, and it seems like a pretty good choice given the options, but trust me the details matter and Chef Dominiques catering had a lot of easy to see mistakes and they half-ass everything. Scarily, catering from noodles and company tasted better, cost a lot less and with parents or cousins serving, it was classy and a friendly touch.

Chef Dominques catered our outdoor June 2012 wedding and it was fabulous!!!! The staff was wonderful and so helpful. The food was amazing and looked beautiful. They did a fantastic job all on everything and I highly recommend them to anyone!

Presentation and service was terrific as usual but the flavor was lacking in the main dish today.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Could use a liquor license though to complete its arsenal. Excellent service & staff. None better.

We just wanted to thank everyone at Chef Dominiques for everything again!! We had the most amazing wedding day and the reception went flawlessly. Tigh and I had the best day full of memories! All of the staff were so helpful and happy that evening which made our reception totally enjoyable. Jess was excellent and kept everything running smoothly all night. And the food was beyond amazing --- we heard numerous compliments from everyone that night (and continue to hear them now) about how wonderful everything tasted from the salad to the baron of beef and everything in between. We had a great time working with Stacey, Jess, and Chef Dominique during our wedding planning process. We appreciated how you met with us throughout the year and kept track of all of the small details for us. The set up and decorating was so easy and it looked perfect! And you helped us plan a gourmet meal that was within our budget (which I know my Dad loved)! You really took the time to get to know Tigh and I as a couple and together we came up with the perfect wedding reception! Chef Dominque:This review of Chef Dominque’s catering is not going to focus on the food. I don’t need to. The food speaks for itself, and what it tells is a story of food that is hand crafted to be the best thing you will taste. The flavors that are created are inspired, and delectable. Out of 130+ people, every single person, every single one spoke about how simply amazing the food tasted. To top it all off, there wasn’t anything left over.With that out of the way, I’ll move onto the most important part...the service. In short, the service provided by Chef Dominque’s catering is exquisite. In long, they care. They truly care about your event. They are always prompt in responding to any questions you might have, always responding within the hour of your question. They show an amazing attention to detail, right down to presentation at the time of our event. The attentiveness of the staff during our wedding was superb. They directed the guests through the line all the while making sure the head table was having their needs fulfilled. They go the extra mile for everything. As weddings go, we had unplanned guests arrive. We had to cut into our wedding cake topper to make sure everyone received a piece, and we still ran out. Even though they had no responsibility to, they called our wedding cake designer to have another topper for us commissioned. This company is founded on love, I remember growing up listening to Chef Dominque’s commericals, and in retrospect they really hold true. Everything they have done for us was seasoned with love. Love for their craft, and their love to making your special day nothing short of special.
