I like to try go early when its not very crowded. I love Planet Fitness because the equipment is always in great shape and Im obsessed with the HydroMassage chairs. (Not that that isnt 90% of the reason I have a membership.)The front desk is friendly and you can tell that the staff work hard to keep the place clean, which is important to me. There is plenty of hand sanitizer around the facilities, which is also important to me.My two critiques are that I wish there were more morning times (7:30-9) to come in for some of the classes, but take that with a shaker of salt because I dont get there early enough some days. I also wish there were QR codes on more of the machines. But thats all. I do tell people about the gym in Simpsonville. I love it.

Friendly, helpful, and informative staff! the crowd that comes in is very decent people. respectful and friendly. no one is rude or obnoxious. bathrooms are well maintained and clean. i would love to give a 5 star but i insist adding new workout machines. the 4 star leaves room for growth. see you tomorrow ;)

Clean place. I signed up specifically for the free training. I spoke to two different associates at the front desk, a week apart, about one I was interested in. It was on a specific night at a specific time. Cool. I plan my day around it, leave work early to do this training, drive the 30 minutes it takes, only to be told there’s only 2 spots and they’re full. Why couldn’t one of the two associates tell me there were limited spots and to book in advance? Would have saved me 30 minutes of driving, planning, and 2 hours of vacation time.

The employees are always nice and welcoming. The equipment and gym in general is clean and tidy. It is a comfortable place to work out in! My only issue is with other members not wiping down the equipment they used after a work out. Staff does a great job with cleaning and sanitizing.

I go at night, wish it was open on the weekends 24 hours. Charlie always greets us and is ready to help. I couldnt imagine going to another gym. Definitely pay for the hydro-massage, it is worth it!

This Planet Fitness location is a great one. The facility itself is very clean and offers many different workout machines so you have many options. The locker rooms are very spacious and clean as well. The price is one that no other gym can beat, and its definitely worth it! Also, the staff is really nice and actually helpful as well.

This gym has a great wide open layout with many exercise options to choose from. Very clean and sanitary also. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gym.

The workers at Simpsonville are helpful welcoming and very nice they make you feel right at home.

Nice, clean, and plenty of open space to work out. Masks still recommended but not required now due to CDC guidelines. Get your vaccine and renew that gym membership! Its time! It definitely helps with so much more than just physical fitness and that is very important in this super tough time we are living in due to COVID.

Simpsonville Planet Fitness is awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is very clean.

Good planet fitness, inside clean restroom clean shower, equipment new, people work inside the checkpoint where friendly.Its good Jim I like it is a space. I am recommend going to the gym.

Just a heads up. Do not allow even the presence of a child into this facility. Even though there is NO POLICY stating that chdren cant even enter the facility, I was told that my calm, quiet 9 year old could not even sit with me on a couch or be in the building at all. While my 17 year old was working out, this ONE DAY, it was incredibly inconvenient to take my 9 year old to a daycare or babysitter. I was told that he couldnt be in the building at all. If you have a family, remember that this place is NOT a family freindly atmosphere.

Went as my wifes guest. Easy to set up as a guest. Plenty of machines and not crowded.

Love the friendly atmosphere, staff is kind and will to help and guide you in what ever activity you choose.

My husband and I just started going to this location because it’s closest to our house. But a certain employee has made me feel very uncomfortable the past two times I went, and gone out of her way to do so. Thanks to McKenzie, we will now be switching locations making it more inconvenient to us. Thought this was a judge free zone but she hassled me about my membership and about leaving an item in the building. When I came to pick up said item she gave me an attitude, and made me answer a bunch of questions about the item before handing it to me. Hope other people don’t have to experience this.

The staff here is one of the main reasons I got a membership and continue to come daily. Theyre so kind, supportive and very patient with everyone. I like all the perks that come with the black card membership as well.

This is a great facility, a very clean and safe place to work out. Jessica always makes us feel very welcome, she’s willing to go the extra mile to make sure our visit is great! I would definitely recommend this particular location!

This is a large location that has everything I need to get a complete workout and get cleaned up to go on about my day. The staff is friendly and I appreciate the extra sanitation practices that have been put in place to keep members safe.

Great gym, low cost, no worries

ALL The hand sanitizer dispensers are always empty.

The equipment is always full for the times I’m going. They only have smith machines, and on top of that they only have 4. I have recently had to leave without completing my workout because the equipment is taken. They also claim to be judgement free but set off an embarrassingly loud alarm when accidentally dropping weights. This place is a good cheap start for new gym goers but not much is available for experienced people.

I have only recently joined the gym. The price is great and the staff is friendly. I am not a huge fan of the gym but I like going to this one. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Its been 2 weeks now and still havent changed tanning bed bulbs. The owner told me to feel free to report the bulbs needed changing to manager and staff and i havr done so. Wednesday i went in to tan and after i checked in i ask if new bulbs were installed and staff member said no only 1 and its the one that was changed 3 1/2 weeks ago so i told her im not staying so i left. They have always changed bulbs and i dont understa d why not now because its a waste of time if bulbs arent right.

Jessica makes coming to the gym so more enjoyable! I look forward to seeing her every time I come!

I am very disappointed with my planet fitness experience and I fully intend to share my poor experience with as many people as I possibly can. I hope this will cause potential customers to not join this club or any planet fitness. I sure hope charging me that last $10 was worth it! I moved to a different city in April of last year. I have been charged the $10 per month for almost a year. They make it extremely difficult to cancel. My time is limited and valuable and it was more cost effective to continue paying $10 per month until I was able to make the trip to Simpsonville to jump through their hoops to cancel. I got charged the $39 maintenance fee and was told that I had to cancel by the 10th of the month to not pay another $10. Today is the 11th. I had a foot surgery and realize that my ability to workout is not a reality even if I did still live here and could still utilize the membership. The Manager made sure to let me know I could still use the club for a month. Really!!!! I can barely walk let alone workout. Again, I hope that last $10 was worth it as I will campaign against your business as much and as often as I have the opportunity to. I’m sick of companies not being reasonable and fair with people. I signed up, I have paid every month, I need to cancel, and they stick me with another months fee because I am one day late to cancel. They are obviously an extremely unethical company.

I come here everyday, the management is always go getting and always communicating with members and mostly their staff.I have a few employees here who treat me like family! Emily, Jayda, And Jessica all strive to bring their members fast, quality based assistance and it’s never a bother to them! Recommend this place to everyone if you want a place who actually remembers your name before you even walk in!! Woohoo

They didnt accommodate my needs.

This gym was closed for MONTHS and somehow they still seem to justify charging a full amount of a annual fee.. poor customer service.. spoke with the assistant manager and the manager and they told me they delayed it for other guest when the gym was closed for ALL those months but not for everyone smh... was told they would “note my acct” but that doesn’t matter because no one looks at that unless they pull it up over 2 days later still waiting on the general manager to call me back and when I asked for contact number or email I was denied.

Great chain of gyms that I can visit any of for $20 a month. All local gyms are well over $100 a month and you have to go to that location. I work in different areas of the state so Planet Fitness works out great for me. Not packed at 6 in the morning and love the piece and quiet of the judgment free zone. No muscle bond jocks screaming all over the place. Do need to add the cool water fountain that has the no touch water bottle filler on it.

The place is great, friendly staff and very clean. The mask requirement ruins it for me. How healthy is it to breath your own breath over and over again? How do you get a good workout when you cant get the oxygen needed by your body as you work on cardio? The equipment is spaced apart and there arent that many people there at the same time. IM VERY disappointed in the mask requirement. Its more political than practical. If a person wants to wear a mask thats their decision, should be forced on everyone. Unfortunately if not allowed to get a good workout where I can breath naturally I will have to find a gym where I can if any exist.Not saying I wont comply with the mask rule, just saying I dont like it and it is very unfair.

COVID clean. Not worried about gym germs. Of course cleaning before and after using equipment yourself is helpful as well. Be mindful of what you need on the gym floor and where you will put your things.

My husband and I really enjoy going to this PF location! We’re always able to get on the machines we want without a wait and everyone is friendly! The facility is always clean and there’s plenty of sanitation stations all over the building too.

Nothing like going to the tanning bed at 2 am

I love this place. Its clean, the equipment is well maintained, the staff is super nice, and they are not afraid to hit the Lunker alarm if youre being loud.

Ive been a member for a few years now. PF is a welcoming environment at an extremely affordable price. I dont go as often as I should 😁, but love it when I do.

Although the masks required arent enforced. I still remained to enjoy the workout with my brother.

They started closing 30 minutes early while I was in the middle of my workout. Turned all the TVs off when I was enjoying watching. I can only come in at night so its kind of annoying when they try to rush you out.

Clean great equipment

This time of year my asthma flares up pretty bad. Since there is no more county ordinances for wearing masks I do not wear one because my own health is dependent upon it. However the employees at this location accosted me for not wearing a mask. I told them I had a medical condition and they could care less. I spoke to the regional manager and not only did he not care he canceled my membership and forged my signature. You heard me right they forged my signature. Good riddance, not one person was kind to me. I joined Sportsclub of Simpsonville and it is night and day I’m so happy where I’m at. Work out wherever you want to work out but steer clear of planet fitness. Their staff is a glittering jewel of colossal ignorance.

I love this location. I go almost every day and the employees are very helpful, and always smiling... even though you can barely tell around those stupid masks...

I will say that its a good place to START gyming. However its also a great place to lose weight.

It’s so hot in this place can hardly breath to work out! Seriously feels like they have the heat on. When asking front desk staff only response is “we have it in the communication log”. Wonder if staff is too cold so they put the temp at a degree to suit them🤔

Just using the hydro massage machines is well worth the price of membership. It has really helped my sciatica and herniated discs in my back. Everything is very clean, lots of equipment, and all the employees are great. I invite anyone who mentions exercising to come with me and try it out. With you membership you can bring a guest everytime you visit. Thanks planet fitness for helping me get back to being a normal person who can move without pain again.

Great gym facility clean and covid prepared, all machines spaced out, i generally just use the gym for fasted morning cardio bc close to the house and also great customer service staff always smiling and greeting

Its a nice clean friendly environment and its availability is awesome. The prices are great as well. A great affordable place to workout and having the option to be able to use other planet fitness gyms is amazing.

I contacted the Simpsonville location to cancel my membership. I was told I had to either come in or send a certified letter to cancel. (Which would require a trip to the post office.) Both options defeat my purpose of “social distancing” due to having a high risk family member. You would think they would be more accommodating during these unprecedented times. I’ve been paying my dues for years with minimal use of the facility. The 1 Star rating is a gift...just like the hundreds of dollars I’ve paid them over the years.

On more than one occasion, and have had to wait longer than 10 minutes to use the hydro bed. No one is behind the counter. And leaving a sign with a number to call if you need assistance, is not good customer service.

I always enjoy my experience every time I visit this Planet Fitness. The staff is very friendly and helpful if needed. It is a very clean place to get a workout done. Even though its crowded alot, I still have access to the equipment that I like to use!

I like the club. Meets all my needs but the men’s locker room is filthy.

There seems to be a lack of communication, and proper training of team members. They seem to tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get you in the door, after everything is said and done months later its a diffrent story. Management is rude, and needs to be retrained on how to ensure the best quality in assisting a customer. Ive been patient, and considerate just to be treated as if I have no value other than dollar. Im appalled the way my situation was handled, I am not entitled to anything, but the same respect I give. To hear a laugh when Im explaining the situation here and there is ridiculous. To hear the impatient tone in a managers voice is absolutely unprofessional, not only did the manager sound impatient he would speak over me in a dismissive tone. I understand it gets frustrating on both ends, but to avoid an argument be professional. You will only exacerbate an already frustrating situation. I wish the best for the manager this is directed at, also the team members who seem to relay the wrong information whether intentionally or from lack of proper training classes if there are any. There is always a better way to handle a situation, lets all strive to be better! ❤

Nice Staff.. Up to date equipment. There are even classes with a personal trainer. Lots of great services for low monthly fee.

Ive been to locations all over the east coast and this one is newer and better than most. My cousin is closer to the location near Greer and comes to this one instead because of the better equipment. Not too crowded when Ive gone at various times over the last two years.

I came as a guest.with my daughter. in February. planet has a nice variety of exercise equipment to choose from. I was very much satisfied with my experience there.

Love this place

Wonderful place to work out any time of day or night. Every staff member Ive met has been extremely kind and courteous. Other gym goers have always been friendly and helpful. You see absolutely all types of people here and no one judges one another, we help each other up, not knock each other down. Very happy to call this my gym.

Shannon is the manager here and is great to deal with. This location is one of the larger Planet Fitnesses out there.

There is plenty of equipment, never have to wait for cardio machines to become available like i have had to do at other gyms. Staff are always pleasant and great me upon entering with “have a great workout “ and leaving “ enjoy your day” or “have a great day” , every time. There is a huge variety of equipment to use, something for everyone.

New to this gym but its a cool place

Walks in without mask.* “Sir you must have a mask to enter past the lobby but not to workout around everyone else in the building who doesn’t have a mask.” “Well do you guys have any so I can wear one just to take it off?”. “No sir, I’m going to have to ask you to leave.”

Great place to work out. Lots of machines to choose from, and everything is kept nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I havent gone during peak hours, but I know it gets super busy. Membership is affordable. Highly recommend.
