Great experience with these guys. My AC stopped working during our heatwave and it was a bad fan and other parts on a old unit. They installed a new unit within 2 days of me calling and were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend for fast good service.

I had another company come in and they found a bad expantion valve. Kool air wanted $6700. For a NEW unit. I paid $500. And my old unit is like new.

Ive had problems since day one. New furnace blowing cool air in the winter, and it is on the loud side. Also, it sounds like it is about to short out. Vibrating on high to low. Now, in 90 degree weather the a/c is blowing hot air. It is Sunday and I understand I wont hear from them today, so, here I am with a new furnace blowing hot air in 90 degree weather, for a couple of days. Tomorrow I will see if they stand behind their products and their labor

Air Kool heat& Air is an excellent company. Their customer service is top notch. Last year I was quoted 14,000.00 for a new furnace. I called air Kool heat & air for a quote the next following week my furnace was installed for 9600.00. I’m so grateful and my family is warm.

My experience with Air Kool has been a rollercoaster. The third time we used them resulted in a negative experience and I thought we wouldnt use them anymore, but to our delight and surprise, the owner reached out personally and did everything he could to fix the situation. We ended up needing to replace our unit, but they credited us the money we had already spent with them trying to fix our problem and he came out again personally after the installation to make sure everything was right and that we were satisfied. He also brought us a case of filters for our new unit. At the end of the day, the most I can ask for from a business is that they do what they can to stand by their work, which he did. I feel comfortable recommending them because I know if something does go wrong, theyll make it right.

Great company and people to work with. They installed a gas pack for downstairs for me about 7 years ago and are replacing my old heat pump for upstairs today. The only company I called. Excellent service, price, and experience showing that they know exactly what they are doing. I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone that wants the job done right, quickly, at a good price, and they stand behind their work, even though I have never had a problem with anything they have ever done.

We have always used Air Kool Heating & Air. We have been in our home for 21 years and have had a new heating & air system installed by Air Kool during that time and we have our units covered under their preventative maintenance agreement where they check our units twice a year to help keep our systems lasting longer. We had our upstairs AC unit replaced and I couldnt be happier with the experience. The quoting process was quite quick and although our attic isnt the most easily accessible, Ken assured us that it would be no problem and it wasnt. His team led by Juan was extremely efficient and worked like a well oiled machine. We had AC again in a mere 2-3 hours on the install day. (which happened to be Memorial Day weekend) And despite the very wet yard, you could hardly even tell they had been here. I would highly recommend these guys. Top notch professionals.

In the middle of last July’s worst heat, our 15-year-old AC unit went out. My friend and neighbor recommended Ken to me, and provided his number. Despite being incredibly busy with installations, he came to my home and evaluated the system. As expected, the entire AC system had to be replaced, and our home was once again cool and comfortable within a few days. The unit that he recommended is the perfect size for our home, and we noticed immediate savings on our power bill. A few months ago, we called Ken, as the downstairs of our home remained cold. Within a few hours, an HVAC technician was in our attic, assessing the problem. Our home was cozy and warm 2 days later. Air Kool Heating and Air gets 5/5 stars from my husband and me! The staff is professional and knowledgeable, and I trust Ken to provide great service and reasonable prices, as well as offering quality products that I’m sure will work well for many years. I’m so glad that my neighbor knew and trusted Ken and his team, and could recommend him to us.

Would not recommend. My A/C was running but not getting cold, Air Kool’s technician diagnoses the problem as low refrigerant. He adds refrigerant, bills me $200, but that doesn’t solve the problem. Comes back out the next day, takes out refrigerant because he thinks he may have overcharged it, still doesn’t solve the problem. He contacts the owner (Ken) to assist, owner doesn’t come out to check the unit himself and instead diagnoses over the phone with the technician. Quotes me an additional $900 for the supposed issue after already paying $200 for the service call and refrigerant I didn’t need. I insist on having the owner come out and check the unit himself before paying that much for an issue he THINKS may be wrong. Spoke with the owner and wanted to know when he’d be able to come look at the unit himself and what assurances I had if I paid the additional $900 and the issue wasn’t fixed. Owner say’s he would call me back next day to schedule a time to come check the unit himself. 2 days go by with no call and now I’m being ghosted by the owner after calling him twice and leaving voicemails. I’ve had another company come out, find the problem within 20 minutes, and quote me almost $150 LESS. Again, would not recommend.

A/C went out Monday night. I called Air Kool Tuesday morning at 8am. They had someone here at 10am, A/C fixed by 1020am. Office called me 10min later to pay over the phone. Professional service all around! Much respect Air Kool, Erik

I was very pleased with the service I received from Air Kool. Ken explained the quote he provided and Melissa the billing specialist explained everything in detail. Installation of my units went smoothly. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wish 2 crews were dispatched instead of one, but they did a great job and left everything clean when they left.

Terrible customer service. Call Friday and receptionist said she would have someone call me back. System completely went out over the weekend and after attempting to call air kool several times ended up calling another company to service.

My air conditioner went out on a Tuesday evening. I called Air Kool the next morning and they came out that very morning! Unfortunately, I needed a new unit, but Mr. Alverson and his technician had a new unit installed that afternoon. I cant say enough about their professionalism and empathy for my circumstances. I usually do not do reviews, but because I had call them about my heat going out last week, and they came and had me up and running in a matter of hours, I felt compelled to write this review. We had an amazing experience with Air Kool! Our A/C had been having problems on and off so we thought it would be best to go ahead and get the whole unit replaced. I called and they came out the same day to give me a quote and two days later installed a whole new unit. Melissa was very helpful with our financing process and very responsive with scheduling the installation and for Ken to come out a few days after to make sure everything was working properly. Could not have been more pleased and loved how smooth the whole process was! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Ken, Tyler and Chelsea were all very helpful in getting my HVAC system tuned-up and running smoothly. In fact, Ken and Tyler spotted & re-attached an air line that had become disconnected. What a positive difference that made to the comfort in that bedroom. I am happy to be onboard with Air Kools bi-annual maintenance program, too. This program is fairly priced and gives me peace of mind knowing that my HVAC system is being cared for by reliable, honest and professional people.

Bought new Trane unit 2 years ago. After many service calls due to loud noise sounding like a helicopter and not functioning properly, had to get Trane corporate involved. After inspection it was found that the unit was not installed properly. Owner was very rude and dismissive during the whole process. Just recently found out he is a homophobic and does not agree with our lifestyle, therefore our service was less than what we should have received. Beware!!!

I recently used Air Kool to service an older air conditioning unit at my parents home. They were able to perform service on the same day which was a big relief. The technician identified the issue and was able to make the repairs during the first visit. I was very pleased with the timeliness and overall service!

We have been with Air Kool Heat and Air for 8 years. Whenever we have needed them they have been out quickly. We purchased an air purifier along with our heat pump 8 years ago and they have maintained it and the heat pump twice a year since. Over a year ago we purchased a special product that has an ultra violet light that kills germs as the air comes through the intake area. We have not been sick since that product was put in. We dont even get colds. I cant prove it is because of this new light but I wouldnt let anybody take it out! All the service techs are very nice and they protect our carpets with always putting on slip-on booties. The receptionist gets back to us as quickly as possible if I have had to leave a message and she is knowledgable about their products and will check on when the service people will get to our house. I am really very happy with Air Kool Heat & Air.

My AC quit on Sunday afternoon and the temperature upstairs sky rocketed to 91 degrees. Jane at Air Kool did everything she could to get someone over there as soon as possible. Of course with this heat wave I wasnt the only one having problems. We made it to Tuesday morning and the Air Kool technician arrived like a knight in shining armor. Steven did a beautiful job and had us up and running in under 2 hours. I did go with the one year maintenance plan that will have both units inspected in the spring and fall for one reasonable price which covered what I had to get fixed Tuesday. I would highly recommend Air Kool to any one looking for an honest, locally owned and operated company.

Had a brand new heat/AC unit installed in 2016 with Air Kool. Had a few issues with it over the years but they always responded in a very timely manner, and fix it promptly. Very professional.

Quick response but hold on to your wallet. My most recent repair was on a Sunday, 19 minute job with no parts required = $250. Thats $119 service call (which is normal) plus $131 for the We got you fund.

Had a new system installed and have been very pleased with Air Kool as a company, and their employees. Quality work, dependable, and always available when needed.

We had Air Kool out last month and the repairs were outrageous. Over $1600 was charged and we paid. Fortunatly I found my paperwork that stated I still covered under warranty, and they reimbursed me for the difference. I still feel what I ended up paying after warranty charges were reimbursed was too high. I would hate to think of how many customer have been a victim of this poor business practice.

Had them come out for a quote 2 weeks ago. Told me I would have it next day. Still no quote delivered. Thoroughly unimpressed.

I have seen a lot of HVAC people in upstate SC, and I needed a new company to try. I started reading reviews, and the only company with positive reviews was Air Kool. I met their technician named Scott, who was perplexed at the reading on my newer AC unit. Several other technicians from well known companies had done what Scott did, and told me the unit was doing all it could. I accepted it as fact, and even told Scott. Scott however, did not believe it. He came up with a couple of theories as to why his gauges were giving him the reading, and started to eliminate the variables. He correctly diagnosed and made my AC unit do what many other big name companies could not. It is downright cold in my house, and its 94 outside! I will use Air Kool from here on out. Call them, and request that they send SCOTT out to your house. He has the experience and determination to solve your problems. He is honest, and Air Kool is very reasonably priced on their services.This is the first review I have ever written, and it is well deserved. I am that impressed!! Thank you Scott.

We paid 624.03 for a fan motor. My neighbors had the same part replaced for just over 200.00 labor included. They were supposed to call with a price quote prior to ordering the part, this didnt happen. I guess when its 97 degrees outside you can charge any amount you want. Stay away from this place!!!

Air Kool has been my choice for my heating and AC needs for over 15 years. They installed a Mitsubishi system in my basement recreation area and a Carrier Infinity series AC and gas furnace to provide service to the upstairs areas of my home. They service my units twice yearly. I have always had a positive and congenial relatiionship with the company and its owner Ken Alverson. I have found Air Kool to be professional and fair and, most importantly, reliable. Ken hires only quality, trustworthy people who know the products they market and can be counted upon for maintainence and fair prices for new systems. A few years ago, my elderly neighbor was down and out financially. Ken found a used furnace in excellent conditiion and replaced her old unit charging a modest labor fee.
