They were able to bring our son up to where he should be in math without anger and tears. He enjoys going and loves math now. The owners are wonderful and keep us informed of how he is doing. The tutors they hire and train are intelligent, patient and kind. We recommend them to everyone we know.

Our daughter literally looks forward to going to Mathnasium. She enjoys the ability to pace herself - and the sense of achievement she gets when she encounters and then solves a new, challenging set of questions. We have been customers at this mathnasium for over 2 years. Math went from being a frustrating subject to fun, and my kiddo now loves to challenge herself with math. We also took our older child there this year after concern that due to covid-19 he had not been able to cover all the critical topics in Algebra. The center is well managed, and full of great staff. I highly recommend for kids that might benefit from a little extra practice with concepts, who may need to build up their self-confidence with math, or for kids that want to challenge themselves and cover topics that arent addressed in the classroom.

Been such a great nonstop resource during Covid shelter in place. Our son doesn’t worry about skipping a beat during school closures. We are very very happy they are continually helping kids during the pandemic with structure and Math support. Such an integral part of our son’s academic world. Thanks over and over!

The individualized instruction and homework support was very helpful for our teenager. Not only did they give him work to support and bolster foundation math skills, but they also helped him look ahead at the skills that were coming up in his algebra class.

Mathmasium has changed my daughter relationship with Math. She used to have very negative feelings and get really anxious and frustrated during Math classes in school. She has now learned that Math can be fun and is not as frustrated in class as she used to be. Her problem solving skills have improved but ultimately for us the most important goal was for her to change her negative feelings towards Math and I think Mathmasium has done just that!

We are so happy we discovered Mathnasium Ballard. Our son was ahead of the math curriculum in his school and was really hungry to learn more. When I called Andrew, the owner, with our specific situation, he got back to me write away via email, text and phone, and set up a free assessment. Our son was tested for 45 mins to determine his skill level, and then Andrew created a curriculum to challenge and push him ahead. Our son has loved it! My daughter has been going to Mathnasium of Northwest Seattle in Ballard twice a week for the past three weeks. The instructors have been great and she really enjoys going! Mathnasium really helped our daughter get through a challenging 6th grade year in math. At the beginning of middle school, she struggled as the math concepts got more difficult. But as soon as she began at Mathnasium, we saw her confidence improve along with her grades. Our daughter is now progressing well in 7th grade math. My granddaughter has been going to Mathnasium for two months. I have found the program to be extremely well organized and well run. There seems to be plenty of staff members available to help students when needed. I have been extremely pleased with the progress my granddaughter has been making.

Mathnasium has done more than help my son with his schoolwork— they’ve found a way to make math fun. Often times he comes home with a big smile saying he got all “mathed-up”— their term for “in the zone”. His confidence is soaring which, in turn, has helped with anxiety and depression. My son hated math and now it is one of his favorite subjects. What else can I say? Mathnasium works.

My teenager’s confidence in math has increased enormously since starting Mathnasium. The curriculum explains concepts really clearly and builds fundamental understanding well. I like the way they revisit concepts so they arent forgotten and how they learn to do math by hand instead of relying on calculators. This means they get a lot of practice of math basics which helps them retain what they have learnt so much better which is also great for their confidence. Even better, my teenager enjoys going to Mathnasium every week, and normally he dislikes any kind of extra help. So I would highly recommend Mathnasium of Northwest Seattle.

They work with kids who might be struggling with math concepts and those who are excelling. They do an assessment and then create a curriculum to meet each kid where they are.
