Love Condor its cheap especially for economy. And has routes to frankfurt GER. from MSP(only one thats non-stop) and Fairbanks Alaska (population 30k) plus as and aviation enthusiast It has one of the cheapest business class with 2x 70lbs luggage per business class ticket.
I recently flew with condor on two long distance flights. Initially, I was underwhelmed by the inflight offerings as this airline charges for both movies and alcohol while many other international airlines do not. A bummer but obviously not a deal breaker. My departing flight was made even more uncomfortable by the warm temperature on the plane. I’m taking dripping sweat and people fanning themselves uncomfortable. All in all, uncomfortable, annoying but not a dealbreaker. While traveling home however Condor lost both mine and my boyfriends luggage. When we reached out to them, multiple times, over email and phone calls we received no response. People didn’t even answer the phone. It’s been 5 days and we still have no clue where in the world are bags are.I can’t tell you how much I hate this airline. This was my first experience with condor and will be my last.
Worst airlines I have even flown with. Never again. Poor aircraft cleanliness, stingy legroom, worst meal options and surprisingly proper meals & entertainment are charged extra even if you pay exorbitant ticket prices. The staff were surprisingly friendly and professional for such a lousy airline business model.
My partner and I traveled round trip from Seattle to Frankfurt (returned August 16th to Seattle).I decided to purchase seats with extra legroom (they call their exits seats XL on their website). On our return flight from Frankfurt they seated us right BEHIND the exit row seats I should have been seated in - I have requested a refund for the seats we did not get and they gave me the runaround - I have receipts and all, but they finally asked me to return my boarding passes (suggesting to me that they dont have the VERY RECORDS that they sent to me, which I found very insulting.Im sure they know full well that people dont hold on to their boarding passes and as far as any issues arising, they have that information even though they suggested they do not.I will NEVER fly this airline again!!
-Seattle to Frankfurt: Decent plane as far as layout and cleanliness. Looked to be an older plane, but it had a nice layout. One of the bathrooms did not work on the way there and it was too cold most of the flight. I mentioned it to one of the flight attendants because she also appeared to be cold and she said that they had even asked for the temperature to be turned up and they were working on it, but it never happened. I am usually fine with just a sweater or a hoodie, but I had not only a thick winter shirt on, but put two blankets over me – something I never have to do.- Frankfurt to Seattle: A nicer plane. Everything worked and the temperature was usual for a transatlantic flight (a little cool for my liking, but not out of the ordinary).- Boarding was quick and efficient.- The Staff: The staff was generally nice and courteous. Every business is going to have employees that have bad days and will not be at their best, but as we all know, some airlines seem to have a high percentage of employees that are rude a high percentage of the time. Condor does not seem to be one of them.- On the way there, I had to select a seat from the Lufthansa website and then wait until 24 hours before the Lufthansa flight to get a seat assignment, which wasn’t a big deal (although if it needed to be in the middle of the night, it may not have been as great. It was easy to get an exit row seat during check-in without paying for it. (There was an option to get it sooner if willing to pay.).- On the way back, however, there was no way to select a seat from either airline before the flight. It just kept saying seat selection not available. When I got to the counter about 1:45 before the flight, the worker told me that it was because the flight was fully booked. I asked again if there were exit row seats available and he said that for 100 euros I could get into one. Within an hour, I went back and they said that there were still charging 100 euros and the price would not go down from there. I would say that this makes Lufthansa cheaper since they don’t charge for that.Low-tech airline: no app, no wifi on plane (inspire of what SeatGuru said), website does not work very well. This is not a dealbreaker if it’s cheaper/better times than other airlines.- Value / Extras: While they do provide two meals on the flights between Seattle & Frankfurt, I noticed that they did not offer some of the items that other transatlantic carriers include with your ticket (for example, I overheard them telling someone there was a charge for wine). Also, there was not an option for the meals (not a big deal to me other than to make the point that for about the same price as other airlines they really don’t offer as much). Also, there is no included in-flight entertainment. It was 9 euros. There is no wifi at all.- Being able to stand: On most flights of this length, many people (including me) like to stand for a while. Condor flight attendants seem annoyed by this. They ask you not to stand near the bathrooms, which is usually the only place to stand.- MY TAKE / SUMMARY: With regular Lufthansa flights (i.e., not using Condor for legs of the trip) being similarly priced, I cannot say that I would fly Condor again unless the ticket was significantly cheaper or the flight times were the only possible option. But that’s still a step up from United Airlines, where I’d rather run and swim than fly with them.
Worst, most inconsistent airline. Flight attendants are rude and you are charged for everything, even in international flights. Don’t expect to watch any movies unless you want to pay. Also the condor airline food made me ill for the first day I was on vacation.
Xtra cost for movies which are to expensive
One of the worst. Stay far, far away.
