I scheduled service, but it took almost 2 weeks for them to schedule someone to come mow my lawn. By the time the crew arrived they said my lawn was too tall to cut and refused to provide service. I had to cut the grass before I could get another crew to come out. Also, be careful before signing up as you are required to pay for 3 service appointments before you can cancel.

They have messed up my lawn so many times. I am sick of waiting on them to get it right. I did find another lawn tech but he was linked to LawnStarter. He was better, so I just stayed with LawnStarter for the time being. That worked for a while. Then a new tech took over. I started to notice they would cut around toys forgotten in the yard or just run stuff over rather than move it. I would get areas around the house with high grass or uneven cuts, and other areas were being scalped. One tech cut my grass so low his mower kept stalling out. By the time I noticed, he was halfway through the yard. Then he hit the side of the house with the push mower and I mean hit it hard. I ran outside and said, “what did you hit”? He looked around and said, “I don’t know, the house, I guess.” I made up my mind to cancel the service permanently. Initially my wife called to cancel the service and was on hold for about 20 minutes. The call center member on the phone seemed aggravated to be taking the call. After cancelling the service my wife asked for a confirmation number or e-mail etc. The lady on the phone got upset and said, “Whoa Ma’am. Your service has been cancelled. You can check the app, we don’t send confirmation notices.” That was on 28 May 2021. Jun 13th, I woke up to the sounds of a lawn mower cutting the yard. A different lawn tech was scalping the yard. I looked on the app and the call center rep had not canceled our service. As you can imagine I was not happy and called LawnStarter immediately. I was on hold for over 38 minutes and never got through to a person; I couldn’t wait any longer. Monday afternoon I called in and was on hold for around 45 minutes. During that hold time I called LawnStarter on another phone. This time I selected new customer from the options. They picked up immediately. I asked them to get me a supervisor to speak with because nobody was picking up the phone for current customers. They stated they could not get me a supervisor and unfortunately could not cancel my service. Then they transferred me back to cancellations. I was on hold an additional 47 minutes this time. Note, they disconnect their line at 47 minutes. I never got anybody to actually answer the phone. Save your money find somebody else. I have included pics of the actual wait time so you can see for yourself and just one of many patches that was cut bare on very thin grass.

My service was supposed to happen on Friday 7/23/21. No one ever came or called or messaged nothing. I called LawnStarter that Friday evening was on hold for about 4 hrs to only be hung up on. When I tried calling back they were suddenly closed. I was so upset. Saturday 7/24 I got a text that crew was on the way. I figured at last!! I went to a bday dinner came home expecting my yard mowed … NOPE! Still nothing! Completely unreliable and hard to get a hold of someone. I finally got their awful app to work and sent messages regarding my disappointments. The crew member responded on Sunday he is actually was on his way. I asked Are you? He came and cut my grass after he was finished I saw my yard completely butchered in my eyes… I was so mad So not professional. He cut my grass way to low exposing roots my grass looks completely ruin and dead. If I could give no star I would. I am completely exhausted and disappointed. I called for a manager the teller forced me to them him my disappointment to only not be able to help as he said he could, just simply wasted my time when I express from the get go I needed a manager like 20 times and was forced to allow him a chance said it’s their protocol Completely not the company they represented themselves as! Horrible dependability service and customer service.

The app is nice. But they didn’t show up on either of the two days of the time window they provided. They didn’t show the day after, or the day after that. I eventually got an email stating they couldn’t get to me and that my (past due) appointment was canceled.After my one star review, the poor service continued but LawnStarter did reach out to me to try to resolve the issues. One of the incomplete services was refunded. I commend them for the follow up but still can’t recommend this app.

Horrible company, was told they were going to show up to mow, never showed up, did this for 3 WEEKS, finally gave up and went with another company. Kept promising service that they knew could not do. Dont use this company!Would like to edit my response, after I posted this response I received one of the most heartfelt and honest emails. Yes they are short handed and dont have the crews at the moment to keep up with supply and demand however, when they do have a crew show up they do a wonderful job. Once they get more help and can commit to showing up I would give them another chance.

The service by this company did not hold up to the contractual agreement. Although I have been a loyal customer, the same was not true by LawnStarter with their customer service! I was told that lawn crew quit. There was no notice notification to the customer. When asked why I was not notified, I was told by a woman on the phone, “We are a contact free company.” My app said my lawn would be cut and tees trimmed early this week…didn’t happen! As a result, my lawn remained unkempt the past week without adherence to the scheduled services. I had to contact them to get the details of what was going on. This is totally unacceptable! I immediately found another company to service my lawn. I strongly recommend not using this company-LawnStarter!

The whole experience with LawnStarter was terrible. I needed my lawn mowed and started the bi-weekly service as a new customer. From start to finish, the whole process took 2 weeks; my crew rescheduled 3 times, ghosted me, and then canceled my service after opening a ticket complaining about not receiving my first service. Every time I called Customer Support, I spoke with someone clearly in a foreign call center who is not local to my area (San Antonio), nor knows the lawn crew personally. The separation between customer support, the crew, and the customer is so far that it feels like LawnStarter doesnt care about me as a customer.I finally found a local to cut my lawn. It was significantly more expensive, but I actually felt like they cared about providing a good customer experience. 0/5 stars for this company.

Been fighting cancer and am unable to mow my lawn. I tried LawnStarter mainly due to the price. I’m happy with the services and find their employees courteous and professional. Wish I could afford other services they offer.

Scheduled to cut my lawn on a Tuesday rescheduled twice without notifying us and pushed our cut over a week after the original scheduled date. They never showed up and customer care didn’t even know what was going on when we would call. So in the end the company we were having from out of town showed up to an uncut lawn… they never showed up. Stay far away from this company if you’re needing service to be reliable. If I could give negative star I definitely would.

I called about 4 days ago, sharing that the person who had cut my grass for 3 yr moved and now my grass is very high. Could you have someone come out. She took my card number and date on it etc. and promise someone would come the next day or the next. Well no show, so I called and she referred me to a another person who said that they were Still looking for someone. Im concern that you/your company has my card number , expiration date, and security code. I called and ask to stop looking as I have someone else. Is there a way you can assure me that my card information is deleted. Im surprised she ask for it before the service. Im concern about that , plus disappointed that she promised service and at the time she didn;t have anyone.

Do your self a favor and use Angie list or word of mouth to find a lawn service. This is just a middle man that wont get a crew out to your house. I had 2 no shows in a row, and when you speak to customer service they dont really seem to care. Called to cancel no problem, so at least that was good.

Please see below for updated reviewEdit: lawn starter contacted me and fixed the damage to my fence. Please see the updated pictures. It took about a year to get my issue complete resolved from the date of the original incident.1) False advertising: If you are not happy, we wont charge you. Its as simple as that.Requested a refund for the lawn service in the photos, but they cant honor it because it didnt have anything to do with the quality of the service.... what? lol2) Property damage claims most likely wont be honoredMy crew used a riding lawn mower for a yard that was way too small for a riding lawn mower, scraped up the side of the fence and busted out a few panels. Submitted property damage claim and was denied because the crew claimed that damage was pre-existing and said we didnt do it even though I reported the damage minutes after it happened.(this fence damage didnt magically happen on its own and i diligently inspected my property after every service)

My husband had knee replacement and we were needing a lawn service. 1st job was done well, but we had to remind the gentleman we requested our clippings be placed in our bin. They then advised we would be charged more for that service. Ok...that works. However, the next week, the crew cancelled and they didnt arrange a new crew evidently fast enough and since it was a holiday weekend, they scheduled it for the following week. No show. Received a e-mail to state a crew would be out today, checked the app and it stated 6/3-6/4. Called and just stated the crew for today cancelled. Now its been 2 weeks since our lawn was mowed and we have a good chance its going to rain the next few days. We were hoping this would be a good service and we could continue on, doesnt appear that way. They are offering $20 credit for posting on Nextdoor. Wonder if its a bad review will I still get the $20?

Ive been a customer of Lawn Starter for almost two years now. Recently, the guy they had assigned to our house started pushing back our service. This happened over and over again for a month. I wrote to customer to service to ask what the problem was and they escalated me to tier 2 support. At that point, I was told that we do not have the capacity to take you on as a customer and I have cancelled your account; we hope to expand service in your area soon; be safe in these trying times. This is pretty unacceptable for a long term customer. How about taking care of your existing customers instead of taking on new ones? Im legitimately impressed with how poorly their customer service is handled.

What happened to this app? It was great when it started. Now...no one answers the phone or take a long time to respond through app. My crew disappeared for a month and when I try to contact them, it says you cannot contact the person. When I contacted the company, I get a response saying they are busy and will address my ticket in 3 days (and that was 5 days ago). When I call, its the hold music with all are busy. UGHHH...

Im editing my review based on the customer service interaction I had with Joey at Lawn Starter. My experience with the service was unsatisfactory, but Joey heard my concerns and went above and beyond to make it right. I appreciate that, and although Ive found an alternative service, I will say I was very impressed by his business ethic and integrity. I cant recommend the service based on my own experience, however if you do give it a try, I feel like they truly do honor their satisfaction guarantee.

My service was rescheduled more times than I can count. When it was rescheduled, my crew was changed almost each time and I was not told about the reschedule until end of day. Because I have dogs that need to be contained when the crew is at the house, this wasted several days of time I had to spend at home rather than running errands on my days off. When a crew finally did make it to my house, the service was not completed. When a crew was at my house, only the front yard was completed, stating that the gate was locked. The gate was not locked, the crew simply wanted to use the larger gate that does not function instead of the smaller gate that was available. Also, no one called, knocked or rang the doorbell even after previous crews (my crew was once again changed the very morning of so I had no opportunity to message the new crew) had been notified that someone would be home to properly contain my pets. Now I have been charged for a service that was incomplete. To add insult to injury, when I asked the crew specifically for a phone number so that I could talk to them, none was provided. When I called customer support, I was on hold for almost 20 minutes before asking for a call back. Its been over 3 hours and I still havent been called. I have NEVER received such poor service and I cant honestly believe you are still in business. I would do the mow myself if I wasnt 6 months pregnant and my husband wasnt active duty and away on assignment.Edit: I just received a phone call back from Lawn Starter. A full 2 days after I called and requested a call back. Unfortunately, I missed the call and they left a generic message, so now I expect I will wait another 2 days for another call all just to be sure I wont be charged for anything more since I cant delete my credit card information from the app.

STAY AWAY. DO NO SIGN UP WITH LAWNSTARTERNo customer support. Called and stayed on hold for 2+ hours. Picked the option for the sign up for lawn starter (option 1) on their customer support number. They picked up quick and then told me there is no option to cancel with them but would need to try the option I waited 2+ hours for. Would not direct me to a supervisor and said there is no one else to talk to regarding this.

Problems initially began when service was marked as complete incorrectly. This was followed up with no shows for the next month. Finally, my scheduled service has now been deactivated by the company with no communication and charges for some of the no shows.

Scheduled this for the first time for Sunday NOBODY showed up or called or anything, then I was on hold for 2 hours nobody answered, then I got a called back and rescheduled for yesterday, again no call no show and I’m sitting here waiting and waiting. Our first crew did a bad job and LawnStarter assigned a different crew and got another job done for free. Everyone knows how hard it is to find a trusted reliable person to do your lawn, this company handles it for you.

Very bad customer service. They rarely reply to their messages and emails, and never pick up their phone. The contractors they hire are also unresponsive.They have missed 3 cuttings already and have delayed my lawn mowing by over 1.5 months now. Grass is almost knee high and my HOA has already been giving me warnings. What’s the point of paying for their service if they never do their job?I highly recommend against going with these guys. They have a minimum of 3 cut contract and I will definitely be leaving after this last 3rd cut, if they ever show up. DO NOT go with LawnStarter!

EDIT 4/21/2021: Ive been able to resolve this. Quality of lawn care has improved and Im back in the app again.Ive used these guys for about a year. At my previous house, they did a great job. After moving, theyve ignored the back yard completely and it now looks like a jungle. The front yard has not been weed-eated and has them growing around the edges of the lawn. Ive been unable to log into their app because it wont accept my password and never sends me the password reset email. When I call them, I sit on hold for 20 minutes and then get sent to voicemail without being able to speak to anyone.

I scheduled for them to mow my lawn last week. Thursday comes and they cant come due to weather. Thats perfectly reasonable. I was rescheduled to Sunday.Sunday comes and goes with no word. Monday morning I get a message saying they couldnt show due to personal problems. Ok, unprofessional but I understand, things happen. Rescheduled to Wednesday.Wednesday comes, I get a message saying theyre on their way. Great. Finally. 30 minutes later I get an email saying the crew cant service my address anymore but theyll find another crew for me. No thanks. You clearly didnt want my service so Ill find someone that actually does. Good day.Edit: So giving them another chance I called yesterday around 6 PM. Im a reasonable man so I figured maybe he went home. I waited today. I sent an email around Noon. It has been 4 hours which I personally believe was ample time for you to get back with me. So you clearly dont need my business or anyone elses. Avoid at all costs.

Joey, Experience Specialist, asking for the opportunity to correct our situation. My husband called several times the same day and left messages. In true LawnStarter form, it has been nearly a week later and there has been no call back. It seems the apathy must begin at the top. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have received from anyone.

I called on Saturday, May 28, made an appointment for May 31 - June 2, its now 7:32pm on June 2 and no one has shown up and no contact from anyone. I have sent two emails and waited on hold 3 times over 45 minutes and still cant get in contact with anyone.For being a nation wide company its been a horrible experience and headache. Needless to say I wont be using this company in the future and Ive already started looking elsewhere.Dont waste your time!!!

Do not ever use this company - They did a horrible job on my lawn even after they came back to complete and fix the job. Provider was rude after I pointed out what he did not complete. Called customer service to end all services since this was the first impression from this company I do not want to deal with them. I asked for my next and all services to be cancelled and my card information to be removed. Received an email stating everything that was cancelled but not even a week later I am charged from them again. I again called customer service asking why and I wanted to speak to a supervisor and was told I would wait. They all of a sudden said there was not one available today said they had other customers to get to and hung up on me. So who knows when and if I will hear from a supervisor.

Set up for bi weekly lawn mowing. Came 1st time and Did a good job. Supposed to be coming back today which is 2 weeks. Looked at schedule and it shows that I cancelled Tuesday which I did not. Was never scheduled for Tuesday anyway as today would be the day.

Please dont utilize their services. My experience with them was horrible. 1. Communication with Customer service support is none. 2. The crew dont really care about your lawn 3. Communication from support to the crew is poor. 4. They damaged my property and I was told 24-48 hours someone will come out and assess still waiting 90+ hours later

I’ve been using LawnStarter for at least 2 months now. They assign you to a crew. My crew happens to be Tyler’s Touch Lawn Care. Tyler does excellent work. He really leaves your lawn looking lush and healthy. Even with the hot summer days he cuts it at the right length to maintain healthy growth and still that green appearance as long as you do your part and water the grass. I would definitely recommend Tyler as your guy for lawn care.

I have been trying to reach customer service for DAYS now and still NO RESPONSE! my service was scheduled for April 22–25. Someone came to my home on Thursday April 22 asking if we needed them to service, i said yes because our backyard grows quick. As i’m talking to him i was letting him know that the last guy who came missed some spots and he stated no that’s just the way the grass grew. i explained to him that no the first guy who came did an amazing job the second guy did not do the same. He stated for me to cancel with LawnStarter and go with him, which blew my mind because I thought he was with lawnstarter because her knew ALL MY INFORMATION about my previous services, spoke to me by my name and even said the last guy sent him pictures of my lawn the last time he came to service so I was very confused. He told me to specifically cancel with lawnstarter and go with them. I refused his services bc he told me he was with someone else. The next day my app tells me my next scheduled service isn’t until 2 WEEKS FROM NOW!!! STILL NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I am highly disappointed in this company. They were scheduled for our third cut on 3/31-4/1. They ask you to give them three cuts to prove how great they are. They proved how terrible of a service they are. We received a notification that our crew was on the way, but they never showed. On Friday we received a message from the crew that stated he had experienced a personal issue but he would be out on Sunday. We agreed. Sunday came and went without any contact or service. Monday, we received a notification that another crew was on their way. We thought that was odd...a crew change without letting us know that this was happening. The two person crew arrived two hours after the “on the way” notification. This makes things very difficult for dog owners. They were clearly unprepared. They had no blower or even a broom to sweep up clippings. She used a rag and waved it over the sidewalk to “sweep”. They patchily cut and trimmed part of the front yard, skipping the piece on the side of the house and driveway and were on their merry way. Of course this was after asking through the messages if we wanted to pay the app or them directly. (What? It’s supposed to be through the app that’s why they have our billing information.) We filed a complaint through the app as our attempts to reach someone by phone over the previous several days failed. Don’t expect anyone to answer the phone at this company. We received a message from the crew stating they would be out Tuesday to recut and didn’t realize the app said they needed to cut the entire property. We received an email from LawnStarter early (4:00am) Tuesday morning apologizing and stating they were monitoring and that the crew would be out Tues/Weds for recut. I explained that recuts for partial service should be priority and should not be in a two day window like the regular service. No one showed Tuesday, and another early morning email arrived from LawnStarter Wednesday morning. This time stating that the crew would be out to fix their mistakes and then we would be switched to another crew. At this point we have spent 7 days waiting for a complete mow. Well, I’m sure you guessed it...no crew on Wednesday...surprise! An early morning email (1:00am this time) arrived Thursday stating that my recut had been rescheduled for April 10-12. Now a 3 day window that opens another day out. We’re basically going to be at the window for what would be our next cut. No thank you, account canceled. This company is completely unprofessional, the crews are clearly not fully vetted if they show up without a broom. Definitely look elsewhere and save yourself the time and hassle.

My crew never showed up, then after I cancelled everything they tried to claim they didnt come because of incleme weather like we dont live in the same city! If you try to call customer service you WILL be on hold for an hour and they will not call you back for a day or two! Just not worth it at all. I wouldnt do it.

They Never show up. They never notify you. You will be waiting for 2 months for them to show up. And when they finally do. They will charge you a long grass cut fee. I canceled the first time. The convinced me to try the service again, and they promised me it would not happen again. Of course it happened again. Canceling now for a second time. This was first and worse experience using this service I was scheduled and rescheduled 3 times with different lawn guys after the 3rd cancel from the 3rd lawn guy I canceled everything and had to pay someone else to cut my lawn almost double the amount I would have saved with LawnStarter but my grass was getting out of control…their customer service over the phone was great but other than that the whole experience was trash 🚮 I would message the guys assigned to my yard on the app and they would respond like once or twice in the beginning but when it came time to cut my grass they were a no show

Horrible experience with this company. They do not show up on time, keep canceling the cut of our yard. We’ve had 4 different crews that do not show up. They have made many errors and leave the yard looking bad. On top of that they damaged a new patio rug by walking across it with the lawnmower on. We submitted the claim for damage and we are still two months arguing with them. We submitted the proof they requested and they are not wanting to reimburse us for the amount paid! she emails us rugs that are cheap from any online site saying that we can go buy a new one for that amount instead, that is not what we had purchased and she only wants to reimburse us a quarter of the amount we spent. Jessica in the property damage claims department is by far unprofessional and rude with dealing with customers insinuating I am lying about the cost of the rug ! Two months later and they still do not want to reimburse us for damages caused. They claim to be insured but yet do not follow through what they market to clients. They are not on BBB for a reason!

In the 3 times I used them , someone came when they werent supposed too ( wrong day ) and they couldnt figure out who it was. They left mowed grass blown onto the lawn , didnt know it was a separate cost to not leave it on the lawn. the last and final straw was when they left my gate unlocked and AJAR , all 5 of my dogs were roaming the neighborhood. The break in price isnt worth the headache....they are near impossible to reach for customer service , ON HOLD FOREVER >>>>>

Miguel has been servicing my yard now for a few months. I cannot ask for a better server. He keeps me informed as to when he will be out and always lets me know if he is unable to service the yard that day due to inclement weather. I never worry if my lawn will be cut. They did provide a great price and showed up on time. They also did cut the grass... Then instead of cleaning up the grass and leaves, they used a blower to blow everything back onto my lawn. Now I have a freshly cut lawn that will now die if I dont pay someone else to come back out and remove the leaves and grass from their job. My lawn literally looks like a big pile of leaves and grass. When I called them to ask them to remove the debris, they stated that they could get me a quote for how much extra they would charge me to complete the original job that was left incomplete.In the end, you get what you pay for. My advise would be to spend the extra $15-$20 up front to get someone to do the job right the first time. Now Im stuck using them for two more times, where Im going to have to pay someone else to come back and remove everything that they cut.

Horrible customer service! Abbgail from the support department kept blaming me for their employee cutting a strip (the sidewalk edge) of my grass so low the grass was killed. I ask for them to replace the dead grass they said, no because the grass looks fine and that I just need to water it. I have a irrigation system. Then I sent the same pictures again asking them to repair the damage. Abbigail told me that it looked like grass clippings and that the owner is responsible for removing grass clippings. This was my third and final service as I canceled service with them. They offered me a 15% quality credit. What a joke! I will seek legal advice. Stay far away from this company.

I have been using LawnStarter for 3-4 months and I am pleased with the ease of the service. I use the basic now service and it is nice to know I have someone coming every 2 weeks to take care of my lawn, they will always make the determination to skip if needed. This is nice as some will still come out, do no work, & charge you anyway. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they have given me 3-4 teams since using the service, I like consistency.

Lawn was serviced by Adam Perry. Adam did an excellent job with this mow. It was communicated to me that there would be an additional charge for an overgrown lawn (which was indeed overgrown and I was aware of this). Adam did not perform any work until I was comfortable with the price. He was prompt after agreeing to the new price, coming out the next day. Overall, highly satisfied.

Had our first service at my elderly parents house and we were so happy with the results. For the price we honestly expected corners to be cut but they even trimmed the fence and house! It looks amazing!! We also LOVE THE APP! Both my father and I get notice when the service is complete and payment is on file through the app. We will definitely be continuing to use this Service.

Poor service. App doesn’t work well and did not save information properly. The person mowing did not bother reaching out when he couldn’t get the gate open. I was literally home. And the mower got mad at me when i asked he come back and finish the backyard. Then I noticed he broke my sprinkler and essentially he said no I didn’t and so they won’t take further action. Completely disappointed in the lack of customer service.

After I cancelled all my services from this company they still charged me for a mow not being done. Leaves spare grass every where, weedeating not clean. I have had nothing but great experiences using Lawn Starter. What I love the most is that everything is managed through their app (billing, services, history, changes, etc), and if you do need help beyond that, their customer service is AMAZING. I also think their pricing is reasonable and there are never any surprises.We’ve had Keith complete regular law mowing and also leaf removal, and he’s done an awesome job every time. My lawn looks better than ever! Highly recommend!!

We are extremely disappointed with this company. We signed up for bi-weekly. They mowed once (somewhat of a decent job), then we were skipped 3 times, that’s 6 weeks of no mowing. Called in, two weeks after that 8 weeks later. They sent a new crew who mowed (again, it was ok, not all trimmed and nice). Then today We got notified that our yard was completed. We are home with the blinds open, no one came. We sent photos to the customer service lady to prove our yard was not mowed. She could clearly see no one came and mowed. At least she gave us a refund for today(since the service wasn’t done). We canceled our service. We clear our yard and then to have them not come multiple times just makes more work for us and then today lied and said our yard was done when it wasn’t is unethical.

Great for recurring service. Had some issues with my first now getting rescheduled, but my second mow was great after they set me up with a new crew. Easy to communicate and schedule services through the app. Price is reasonable and competitive. Hopefully I can keep the same crew for future cuts. Not sure I want different people at my house every two weeks.

Lawn service and price was acceptable, but that all changed when during one mow my hose was shredded. We didnt notice until watering our plants. I contacted seeking a replacement. They dragged their feet trying to get resolution from their contractor. I finally got them to replace my hose, but not without a lot of effort on my part. Next, I had to skip a mow or two because of the rain. Once the rain subsided, I need to get the grass cut sooner. Apparently, there was a high demand, but I had spent several times trying to get scheduled and everytime they couldnt find someone. I told them why they wouldnt call or reschedule if no one came out to cut the grass? My last call, I had asked the rep if I would get rescheduled again at my now scheduled mow or if I should find another provider. They told me that it would be best if I found another provider. By their actions, response, and rather than own up to their mistakes; they will blacklist you until you leave. This company doesnt have any workers; the service professional who cuts your lawn are subcontractors. The company just facilitates or provides the services of coordinating between customers and vendors. You would have better luck picking a service professional in the phone book or call the number listed on the side of a truck.

I like that you can set everything up as well as pay online with LawnStarter, but they are essentially a middleman between you and the team servicing your property. And they aren’t very good at it. We had a few months of good service from the team assigned to us through LawnStarter, but then one month they showed up, did a few minutes of edging, picked up some branches, and left. The service requested was edging, lawn mowing, and cleaning of hard surfaces (aka the driveway and porch). I immediately filled out the form on the LawnStarter app to complain that the service wasn’t complete. It took filling out that form two more times to get a response, and that response was basically that the team would do better next time. I requested a refund or for someone to come and complete the service. The response I got was that they showed the team had visited my property so there wasn’t much they could do. I would receive a notification asking me to send pictures of what I was dissatisfied with and allow that team to respond or they would send another company out to take care of my lawn. It’s been a week since that email and zero follow-up has happened. I cancelled my service with them. So, buyer beware that if there is a problem, it would seem there is zero chance of resolution. If nothing goes wrong, you’re fine. But honestly? Cut out the middleman, LawnStarter, and hire a company that will respond to you when you contact them.Update: 2/7/18: After posting negative reviews on Yelp and Google, someone from Lawn Starter did finally get in touch with me to look at what had happened and how they could fix it. They apologized and processed a refund for the lawn service that I didnt actually have done, which I do appreciate. However, I think its telling that in the email that offered the apology and the refund, they asked me to update or remove my negative reviews (if I was comfortable doing so). I think I was fair in what I said--I only posted what had actually happened and didnt try to drag their name through the mud. So I just left it alone. But since I just got ANOTHER email telling me they had noticed I hadnt updated or removed this review, I decided to go ahead and update it. You can see Im not the only customer of theirs that has had communication issues as you scroll through the reviews. I think my best course of action is to do all of my yard care myself.

Don’t let the employees trick you into anything, read contract and everything very carefully. Watch your valuables. They will also try to trick you into paying more in cash. Very unprofessional. This business needs to be careful who they are hiring.

I reached out to this company and they are one of the only companies that have worked with me to make things simple on lawn service. I like to make things simple. Not a lot of questions or a picture of your yard to give you quote. I told them what I wanted, they presented me with a couple of options of service and I signed up. I am happy with the service provided. I do not see myself doing service elsewhere. Thanks!! Simple and easy. That is how it should be!
