I bough my wedding dress online and it fit pretty well but there were a few things that needed to be fixed. I got it hemmed, boning added, a bustle was added and a few other small details were fixed! Awesome job and not too bad of a price!

I had some down time before my wedding, so I made sure to price out alterations considering the work I needed done. She sewed 175 crystal buttons down the train of my dress yall! First, Jane beat all seven of the other alteration places I priced out in San Antonio (Everyone else I asked charged $2-$3 PER button). Second, her turn around time was impeccable (buttons included) and she also did some of my girls dresses! Lastly, her online booking system was so easy and made the communication process so much better. She was also confident working on my designer dress & dress straps and made sure it fit my body in a flattering way for all those up close detail shots! Jane saved my wedding gown! I seriously can’t say enough how happy I am to have found her!*For some background story*: I purchased my wedding gown at an independent bridal boutique and had it originally altered there. It was already a little loose but then I unintentionally lost some weight on top of that, which left my dress quite large in several major areas.*Fast forward to a week before the wedding*: I had made the earliest appointment available at the same bridal boutique for rush alterations, but when I got there I was told that the seamstress wasn’t in and that my appointment had been cancelled (without any sort of notification or much of an apology). The unprofessionalism was so surprising considering how “upscale” they appeared to be...As a bride, with no definite answer as to when/if my dress could be altered by them in time, I searched like crazy for another location. Due to the short time frame and the dress having been altered before, a couple of places declined their services. But once I found “Sew Wedding Dress & Alterations” online and saw that Jane had excellent reviews I said a little prayer and gave her a call. From the very beginning Jane was wonderful! Although she was in fact very busy, she was willing to help by seeing me and my gown that very same day! I just picked up my bridal gown today (with a couple of days to spare before my wedding) and it is PERFECTION! Jane is an amazing talented seamstress! We took my daughters wedding dress and MOB dress to her one month before the wedding thinking that they only needed to be hemmed. Janes expert eye showed us how much better they would fit with just a few nips and tucks here and there. I had a great experience with Jane. She worked quickly and efficiently. I am a very socially nervous/ shy person and I came alone to my appointments, she did not push me out of my comfort zone or force me to talk a lot, which I really appreciated. Id found a dress I love that was only available online, so I purchased it without trying it on, OR getting sized professionally beforehand. So the dress turned out to be too small on me when it came in, by 1 or 2 sizes. She added in a corset to make it fit, and also added a bustle, bra cups, AND did a last minute change on the upper area of the dress. I decided to make the dress sleeveless not long before my wedding, and she made it happen without any trouble. It turned out exactly as Id hoped and Im so excited to get to wear it on my wedding day! Thankfully I found Jane online due to her excellent reviews. She works out of her house, but it was still a very professional and comfortable setting. My dress finally arrived at the bridal salon just a few weeks before my wedding, and Jane was kind enough to squeeze me in. I had received a quote from another alterations place in Austin, but I decided to go with Jane because the San Antonio location was more convenient for me. Also, she was so kind and attentive, and I had a feeling she would do excellent work. Turns out, I was right! The dress fit me like a glove. My wedding was in September and Ive been meaning to leave a review for the longest time! Jane did a superb job with my wedding dress. I had concerns about the dress because it was too big on me, but after Janes alterations, it was as if it was custom made for me. She changed the cups, tightened the bodice, added on off the shoulders sleeves (detachable btw) and shortened the lengths of multiple layers of my dress. She did such a good job that I couldnt tell where the alterations began. Also, a couple days before the wedding, I had an emergency with my dress because my dog had ripped up an outer tulle layer (my mistake for taking it out of the garment bag). Jane came to the rescue and fixed it up in no time. People could not tell at all (unless you inspect closely). I highly recommend Jane!

I’m a little late posting a review because my wedding was in October but I have a co-worker that’s getting married and it brought back my unfortunate memory.. here goes.. my initial appointment went well- Ms. Jane was very nice and took her time with me and my daughter. She answered all of my mom’s questions and the price agreed upon was great. Fast forward to my final fitting- which had been scheduled weeks in advance and was supposed to be one of the memories of being a bride that I had looked forward to which is having your mom & bridesmaids there to see the final work... well.. an hour or so before my appointment- it was cancelled. She said ah hadn’t been feeling well for a few days.. which I can understand but cancelling an hour prior?!? I was already on my way! So.. that was disappointing. When my dress was picked up- it seemed like the work was done to what was agreed- BUT.. my dress was falling apart and the off the shoulder sleeves I asked to be added- were literally hanging by a damn thread by the end of the night. My bustle was BROKEN... which during my fitting, was fully operational but it was ripped off... I couldn’t help but think that was done on purpose. Anyways- my wedding was great but would’ve been better had my dress not fallen apart and my bustle would’ve been there... makes me wonder. Sadly- I would not recommend Ms. Jane.

I wanted extra fabric added around the chest for more coverage--she found the perfect lace to match and did such a good job that you cant even tell the dress didnt come like that.She also noticed things that needed altering that werent even on my radar, and she executed them perfectly. I am 100% thrilled with my alterations on my wedding dress! My dress originally had a full back and Jane was able to make my vision come to life by reforming the back to make it a low back, which I didn’t even think would be possible. My dress is two pieces and heavily beaded and embroidered. She also fashioned a train and a bustle and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Wonderful!! Jane is truly a step above any seamstress/tailor I have dealt with before. I had a wedding gown emergency…a week and a half before my wedding, my dress was too big. I called her and she was more than willing to help me, by not only taking my dress in, but also hemming it. (I had changed my shoes and the heel height was slightly different). This was certainly not a job that was typically done in such an incredibly short amount of time. She was so quick to help me…quite an angel in my opinion. I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but I’m just so upset still.After having my dress for two months, my dress was completed not to my liking due to some miscommunication it seemed about an added slit and an initial one month delay. Jane offered to kindly fix it to ensure I was happy and then went rogue. She completely cut up my dress creating a massive seam right in the front of my dress which was NEVER discussed. The seam doesn’t even lay flat. It ripples out. She offered to “fix it” but that was it for me.Needless to say, I spent the night crying. My wedding is three weeks away now and I could not be more upset. The dress I bought is ruined.

Jane is simply amazing! She managed to do miracles with my wedding dress in just two weeks before I leave for my destination wedding. I thought my dress fit before I got there and that it just needed a little hemming, however I was wrong and she made sure it fit like a glove, made it perfect for my barefoot ceremony, and added the most beautiful bustle for after the ceremony. She made sure to show me exactly how to bustle it also and the little tricks to make the bustle invisible. She also saved my dress from being stained due to my own clumsiness! All the alterations were done with such precision and it turned out be perfect. All my local clothing alternation services couldn’t do the job properly or made the price unreasonably expensive. I drove 40 min to Jane and all was worth it at the end. I brought in a valuable coat to tailor for my daughter and it turned out great. Although it took a little more time than expected, I knew it was only to get the best service. Jane doesn’t only do a phenomenal job with dresses but she sure does great with coats and jackets too. 10/10 and totally recommend.

Wonderful & Personal Touch:I went to take my pants altered because they were too long, and Jane was able to do this as well as fix my loose button and make other small changes that made all the difference. All the hemming came undone half way through my wedding. The straps were altered to high so the cup placement didn’t even align with my chest, at all... and the buttons sown into the dress for the train broke off. She also had the nerve to say I gained weight even though I was able to zipper the dress fine. I would not recommend her to anyone I know. I never write these reviews and held back on it until I realized the day of the wedding what a terrible job she did.

I had my wedding a few days ago. So I have to write the review right away because Jane has deserved it. I bought my Maggie Sottero gown from Bridal Galleria in San Antonio but I only had about a month to the wedding and they said do not offer alteration services and I would have to get my alternations done elsewhere. I found sew wedding dress & alterations through online search. I was stressed out because my dress was a bit complicated with all beading covering the entire dress. It was heavy and I was afraid I made the wrong decision on the dress. I called Jane and she said come bring the dress. From the moment I walked in I felt relief. She is a professional and knows the bridal craft. She pinned the dress and said no problem I can move the zipper to accentuate your back curve and every thing is going to be fine. Well it was . She did an amazing job. Dress fit like a glove, she also put a custom bustle in the back for after the 1st dance to make my life easier. She added the underskirt I had sawn onto the dress to make my life easier and it sure did. She steamed the wrinkles out prepped the dresses and veil. She was patient and her demeanor is professional and kind. She showed 2 of my girls how to bustle the dress. She is flexible with appointment times and made the process painless. Honestly God sent ! Price was very reasonable and service top notch. Thank you Jane you saved me !

Jane is an expert in wedding gown alterations. I thought my wedding dress was beautiful when I bought it, but after Jane altered it, I liked it 100x more !! Fits perfectly, the bustling in the back makes it look do elegant, and she even hand-made me a sash with a bow in the back. Thank you soooo much Jane.

Jane Oh was amazing! There are two pictures from when I picked my dress out. It came with little sleeves and I wanted the dress to be strapless. I was worried the top of the dress would be pointy like cat ears. Jane Oh saw my vision without me even telling her my vision. She was able to round it and keep the lace in tact.Speaking of lace on tact, Im 52 and she hemmed this dress to the gods. My favorite part of this dress was the detail and she was able the keep the lace just like it was when I first brought it to her. Not to mention it did not zip up AT ALL when the dress came it. She added a beautiful corset to the back. She recommended adding clear buttons to the bottom of my dress so I could pin the train up so I could move around without it dragging which was perfect since I had a destination wedding in grass.Long story short, she did an amazing job and I 1000% recommend her!
