My son has been going here for years and they always did a great job. Today a lady there jacked him up. He asked for 2 inches off the top and she shaved it off plus the fade looked like a blind person did it. My son was too nice and still paid for it. They should have at least offered to try and fix it but they just let him walk out like that. So go here at your own risk. They dont care what their customers come out looking like!

Even tho my experience here was bad the owner were very understanding and Im pleased with the outcome.

Everyone is really friendly. Ivs never had any issues. Long waits but because worth it. Cash only but have an ATM. Can work with any hair.

This barbershop fell short to my expectations. Upon arrival I was greeted and told to sign in. Within 2 minutes I was in a chair (On a Sunday at 2pm) The barber asked me what I wanted, was attentive and professional. Everything seems to be going great. As she begins to cut my hair I feel the clippers sharp blades doing a little more than just cutting hair. The clippers were adjusted to be zero gapped, incorrectly. I now will have red lines and scars that will show for the next 3 days. As the haircut continues I see other clients in chairs given haircuts. All but one showed inconsistency, lines that were crooked on the neck, fades that were not blended. This place is a step up from a barber school but well below an amazing haircut. These barbers need more experience and knowledge as Im sure they will obtain from time during their career. My haircut was not great but not the worst either. And for $25 they simply can not cut up to the expectation. Far overpriced for the service that you get. There are many 4 to 5 stars barbershops throughout San Antonio. Look for one and do yourself a favor to get a great haircut.

I usually don’t trust anyone with my beard but I go to Doza for it!!!!!! He does a great job doing it and makes you feel at home!!!! Make sure y’all go ask for him and he will do a great job!!!! If they had 10 stars just based on Doza I would do it

The staff overall is friendly and helpful. My sons barber TIM does a great job. When we show up and sign in there is always so.e random person yelling at us. Like why even sign in.. really. Lots of seating for waiting. Edit this to also say this location is in North Star Mall

UTSA location: OT has been cutting my sons hair for about a year and we followed him from the Rolling Oaks location to the UTSA location. He is very talented, on time with every appointment, and great with my son - asks him if he’s happy with the cut every time...oh and he’s a veteran (bonus)!

Service was impeccable. I love the decor! The staff is always friendly and hilarious. What I really love is how well they take care of their little people clients. Children are made to feel welcomed and are catered to just like their parents are. This is definitely the shop for the entire family!

My haircut was perfect, and I wouldve given the shop a perfect review but unfortunately I had to mark it down because a day after I got my hair and beard edged and trimmed I saw facial scarring on my neck and on the back of my head. The scarring on one side of my neck is so bad that my skin literally peeled off and the spot thats left is reddish and a different color than the rest of my skin. This couldve been prevented but the blades theyre using are too sharp. I get my hair cut regularly so Im not just tripping or speaking out the side of the scarring on my neck. The barbers are talented otherwise, they just need better equipment. The scars on my neck werent worth the $35 price tag that came with the cut neither.

I get my hair cut by Sean aka “ Big Doza”, hes great!! On time for my appointments and amazing cuts and he continues to get even better. I don’t trust anyone but that man to cut my hair. He’s friendly, funny and professional. I’d recommend he anytime, never messed up a cut .10/10

Had a great experience going into Mac’s Barbershop 💈!! The shop looked very professional and organized and it didn’t take too long for me as a walk-in to get a barber to cut my hair. Johnny was my barber and he did a amazing job on the burst fade and facial trim I requested! 5 stars! And definitely coming back!

43 dollars for a cut and beard trim!!!!!If only there was a way to rate barbers individual I would. Overall this place is great. I have gotten my cut with Sabrina and Chris before and they did an excellent job. Unfortunately for me, they were busy and I decided to go with another barber today and by my rating you can tell it was not good. I explain to him what cut I want and a show him pictures (2 pictures to get a good view)to make sure I’m clear in what I want. When he finished and showed me, I was surprised by what I saw. My cut did not resemble the pictures I had showed the barber earlier. I tell him that’s not what I asked for, to simply cut shorter to correct but at this point I was already being forgiving because my hair was already bad. This guy had the nerve to tell me that he couldn’t fix it because he already put gel on. I reply “ I’ll just wash at the sink then so you can fix it.” He replied “ no, don’t do that it’s going to make me look bad. You should of just been more specific on the type of cut you wanted.” If I wasn’t such a good a guy I would of told him off with that remark, but I just kept it professional. I showed him the pictures once again and said “ I’m sure this is being specific enough. Now, I want you to fix it.” Sure enough he did what I wanted him to do but at the end he had the nerve to actually charge me 43 dollars for a men’s haircut ($25) and ($18) for the beard. I understand the 25 for the cut but 18 for a quick touch up on the beard is highway robbery. Fortunately for him I didn’t catch his name or I would tell you to avoid him like the plague. If you do some how end up in this establishment I recommend Chris or Sabrina, they won’t disappoint.

They make you wait longer then their prefer clients and friends, even know you were there 45 minutes before they got there. The sign in list means nothing. Very unprofessional.

I have passed Macs Barbershop many times in the mall but this was our first time as customers. The environment was nice and the barbers cater to all members of the family. It was clean which is extremely important to me and I did see the barbers cleaning between customers. Ok, the downside is we had a long wait but it was worth it. Sherrie did an Amazing job on both my sons cuts. We all were very happy & will return. I highly suggest going there you will not be disappointed.

The shop is nice however, communication goes a long way right next to the customer service received especially for a first time impression. The Dapper Barber(O.T) did an excellent job on my son head, Troy did good on my 5 yr old and Amos did well just need to improve his customer service skills. If the customer service is poor it takes away from the entire setting.

My teenage son went here (without me) and since its a barber shop I expected him to return with a decent haircut. Unfortunately, whoever cut his hair doesnt know what a fade is. His hair is uneven from both sides and it looks completely horrendous. I couldve literally done a better job myself at home with some clippers and no Im not a hairstylist. Not to mention that my son said he took a call in the middle of his haircut and was unprofessional about it. Never spending another dime at this place!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! I have not seen this level of unprofessionalism anywhere except this place. The guys completely don’t CARE who is sitting there, the language that is being use is outrageous. What is the point of having a sign in roster, when anyone they know can walk in before you without an appointment? This is not a place you want to take your kids.

Recently got a haircut there, and wasnt to happy with the results. Asked for a low fade and a beard trim. The fade was a 5 out of 10 at best and the line up of my beard looked as if he barely touched it,couldve did that myself at home, but the worst part was he left about four scratches on my face, and still had the audacity to charge me $10 for the beard trim. So i paid a total of $30, and he claimed it was a deal. Ive never paid so much for a mediocre haircut or any haircut at that, with that quality and those prices i doubt ill go back..

HORRIBLE! By far worse barber shop ive ever been to! Left hair long and the rest stubby around my ears. Uneven on the back. Didnt blend anything and the price was way more than the service given. Two thumbs down! Now I have to pay a real barber to fix this BOTCH!

Always get a great cut here. My kids love the place and never complain about the wait times. Chris takes care of all of us and have never had any issues. Lots of barbers and they are all very nice.

Worst experience at a barbershop ever. After reading some of the other reviews, it was good to know that I wasnt the only one that felt this way. Ive given this barbershop so many chances and each time I go, I leave with a negative experience. This last time, my son was getting his haircut and the girl was on her phone half the time! She kept stopping and checking her messages and replying, and not once or twice but 6 times -I counted. The conversations between the barbers were not family friendly either. How unprofessional can you be??? Well if you want to find out, get your haircut here. Never going again.

Really need to work on keeping track of who’s next, they only care about how many each barber has cut rather than who’s actually next, so getting skipped is very easy, and they taketheir sweet time so you won’t get cut for at least 45 more minutes. It’s expensive for really no reason compared to every other barber i’ve been to that does the same quality work

They dont know how to cut hair at all, went in asking for a fade and they straight shaved the side of my head up to my scalp and trimmed the top. Learn how to cut hair if you are going to be working in a barbershop.

Horrible experience, the tall older gentleman was very rude about my 4 year old son, who was a bit nervous. We saw other young children getting their hair cut there so assumed it was a child friendly place, we were wrong. The barber was stern, rude and inpatient. I ended up taking my crying son out of the chair and went a few doors down to Master Cuts and they were WONDERFUL!

I use to love this place but it has severely went. Most of the great the great barbers have left

I came in today with a semi medium puff, i asked for a line up and a shape up that’s it! No cutting off hair no nothing i just wanted a line up and a shape up so my hair all around was an even puff, no i left disappointed because the lady who cut my hair didn’t listen to anything i told her and she just decided to do what she wanted to do and buzzed the back and the side of my hair. If i wanted my hair tappered i would’ve have told you to do that and it’s not even a good cut it’s basically a box cut that sits on top of my head. It took a long 5/6 months to grow my hair out from the first botched cut and again i leave with another botched cut. Will not be coming back if i could give 0 stars i would.

Came in at 7:55 they close at nine but was told that they don’t take anymore after eight when I said it’s not ate yet they just ignored me after I expressed for their concern about how I’m going out of town and needed to get a haircut today they again we had no response

Took my son in to get a haircut but he always fights me. It was surprising that he did not fight me so much and also the barber was great.

If you’re not sure what the customer wants ASK before you start cutting. I requested a simple shape up and ended up with something totally different from my request.

I came in with a picture and then I asked if the barber could do it. When I get turned around to face the mirror my hair was down to a fade. I was furious and I asked where the break in communication was. Sorry didnt cover my hair being gone nor the 22 dollars I spent to become bald when I had a head full of hair when I walked in.
