Always leave here with a five star feeling, but yesterday when I went the barber who cut my hair was on the phone the entire time and didnt do a very good job lining my beard up. Paid almost 60 dollars and when I got a good look at it after getting home the line were very crooked and he didnt even trim the cheek bones. Will probably go back, but I will definitely request a different barber

Ever since I came from GA I been dealing with this barbershop. Theyre very respectful,kind, and polite. They cam cut some hair I mean I would recommend them to anyone fast I dont go nowhere else but to them PERIODDDTTTTT

Ive been to a lot of barber shops around country, and this place was amazing. Very professional, yet relaxed barbers. I was lucky to get a walk-in cut, since the chairs filled up fast. I would highly suggest getting a cut here, especially for any military type folks. Thanks for the great service, Ill definitely be back in a few weeks.

My fiancé and I went for him to get a haircut, he didn’t like the cut and the barber (Paul) refused to fix it. Taking accountability and fixing your work when someone doesn’t like it is important for business. We will not be going back. The shop itself is clean and nice to bad the employee was the problem.

So i come inside the barbershop, i get asked do i have an appointment and i said no. I sat patiently. Mind you i am a very patient person, i developed that in the army. Waiting is no problem for me. But when people walk in behind me with no appointment and are sat down to get a cut and one of the barbers who left completely ignored me and talked to the walk in behind me, its obvious they dont want me there. Hate to say it but ove experienced before, doesnt seem like they want black people in their shop. If you are black stay away, dont waste your time. I even called and politely asked if they take walk ins and i got hung up on before i was finished trying to explain the situation.

This is the most unorganized barbershop in San Antonio. I have been taking my boys here for a couple years then found another barbershop closer to my house so we stopped.. That barbershop moved so we came back to Fresh Headz.. When you call they say they arent doing appointments only walk-ins.. Where we sign our name and wait in the car.. We went 3 weeks ago and did as they said. After an hour i asked one of the boys to go in and see what was going on, come to find out they scratched their names off the sign in sheet. I drove somewhere else to get them cut that day. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned this morning, they told my son to sign in and wait in the car.. After waiting 45 minutes i tell my son to go see whats going on. He comes out saying they told him he was next. Then two guys walked in and sat right down to get a haircut assuming they take care of their friends or preferred customers only. At 11 am after waiting for close to an hour someone came outside and asked if we can Schedule an appointment because they are Booked... i was faithfully paying $35-$40 a haircut so tipping anywhere from $10-$15 for 12 year old boys.. so why was my money not as good as anyone elses? If you are looking for a good barbershop go to Clipper Knowledge on Grissom.. Super friendly and very professional which they do appointments. This is their old barbershop where we will be taking our business. It is a 30-40 minute drive from Helotes but very well worth it. Alot of these young barbers like to make sure their friends are first and forget about making new cliental. By reading previous reviews looks like they dont like cutting kids hair.. If you dont then post it somewhere on your page or in your shop.. Dont be rude!!

Was able to bring my son in last min on Sunday before school started. Waited about a hr thats with no appointment. Clean and nice. Very professional. If it was not to far for me id bring my son regularly. They did great job on his cut.

I walked in a week for a haircut and was greeted and attended by Dan. I told him what kind of haircut I wanted and he followed thru and gave me a good haircut. I was satisfied and my lady was too. Today I sent him a text to see if he had an appointment available and he immediately responded and provide me with a time for my haircut. Today I asked for a medium fade, line up on the front and half off the top and once again I was very satisfied. I recommend Dan as your barber.

Jimmy is my sons barber and he is the best. He is very detailed and takes his time. All the other barbers seem great too I see nothing but quality go out those doors.

So after waiting outside for 20mins in 90 degree weather I decided it would be better for my kids to sit in the car because there were no seats inside, after about an hour they crossed out my sons names and then told me that I was lying about being in the car right in front of there shop. They said were not going to search for you. I was literally right in front of the shop!! So they wouldnt put us back to being next and wanted to put us back at the end of the list. Extremely unprofessional in service and speaking. Never will go back again.

Went to get a haircut nice atmosphere and the kid actually gave me a great haircut. But he came out when some b.s. that every body in their charges different and he ended up charging me 25 come to find out from a buddy of mine he gets his haircuts for 15 bucks. There should be a clear rate on haircuts posted. Dont mind paying when its a legit price not something off the top of their head. Not going back

FAST...EASY..AND VERY PROFESSIONAL

This place sucks. Waited for 45 minutes because they said another barber was coming. I guess the barber was crawling over there. All this time there was just one person there. And all this time she was talking away and slowly cutting his hair. More chatting than cutting. I was about to tell her to hook up with him on Facebook and chat later. Finally I left. No one showed If you know what you are doing you can do a good cut in less than 30 min. This place sucks.

I have been getting my haircut here a couple of months now and Jay is on point with my edge ups. He has helped me out a lot with how to style my hair and knowledgeable. For the most part, all the guys are pretty cool and its a pretty open environment. More laid back and social than most barbershops I been to.

Wanna say that my boys and I are very picky on who fades our hair because everytime we go somewhere cheap the jack it all up. We took a chance with fresh heads and the first barber we walked into was Travis he asked what we were looking to get and I explained our situation and we didnt want anyone to screw up our fades, he immediately sat my 2 year old and got to work he took his time and kept him entertained, then my 9 year old and he did exactly what my boy wanted, then it was my turn I was completely satisfied that Travis also trims my beard. I have sent him numerous friend of mine and theyre also happy with how experienced Travis is.

They must not want to stay open for too long. My wife went there with my son. Definitely not a family atmosphere. More of a hangout than a barbershop. I have to admit though, my sons haircut was nice. But hell, anyone can cut hair. My wife explained to me that there was one customer cursing out loud while there were children there. Thats how they do it huh? Owner dictates the client base I guess.

I think the fact that the owner is combative and dismissive of customers who had a poor experience and leave a negative review should give you a pretty good idea of what the atmosphere is like at this shop. God forbid the business owner respond to customer complaints with humility and the desire to fix any problems your customers encounter. Customer is NOT always right here, and he will let you know if you step out of line.

Pretty funny when my 19yr old son ask me to set him up an appt w my fader. I am blown away by julians talent. I have long brown hair and had him do a tribal on the side of my head. I have never done anything like that and he made me feel at home. You can tell he loves what he does. Im going back this week for my 3rd design.

After surviving cancer and finally being able to grow my hair back, I went to Travis for my initial styling. He did a wonderful job designing a cut for me and has kept this up over 2 years. Ge is an awesome barber and is highly capable in his job, hus designs, and his overall love of his profession!

My son and I always come out looking fresh and clean with each barbar . Can t just pick one cause they all get down . Even if you dont have an appointment . They slip you right in with no questions asked . This crew works together to provide the Best customer service for each and every client they have . It’s great to have y’all back .

Decent place; Ive been 4 times but today will be my last visit. Last time I got hit with a basketball 3 times while getting my haircut as two of the barbers played 1 on 1 with a miniature ball and goal.Ignoring that last experience I said let me try again. Today I had to coach the barber Jay or Julian whichever he goes by on shaving my face; as if he couldnt see the hair that he clearly didnt cut. He seemed actually surprised that I saw it. I shouldnt get out of the barber chair looking like I still need a shave if Im paying for one.

I love getting my haircut here my barber does a great job. It’s just annoying when 5 guys are throwing a football and playing basketball in the shop I know one of them was jay (Instagram name is on his mirror) i didn’t think I would have to worry about someone missing a catch and hitting me, my barber (messing up my haircut) or another client while I’m getting a haircut some of the other barbers even looked annoyed at them.

Save your gas for a better place. This place is horrible. My boyfriend went inside everyone looked at him ugly, did not greet him or let him know what he had to do. While waiting we were looking around to see if they had any prices on their services posted on the wall , until i decided to look them up on google to see if they had website where prices can be listed. I read their reviews and they are horrible . The barber behind me was cutting hair and talking on the phone at the same time . The other barber was just giving ugly looks to everyone in the shop. The haircut was decent but its definitely not a family establishment. Not kid friendly whatsoever. The barbers that arent cutting hair talk loud and proud with their profanity and obscenities, you would never guess you were in a place of business. One barber spoke of how he was gonna shoot a B**ch A$$ NI*ga(POP, POP, POP) if he didnt have his son with him....Lol like I said would never guess you were in a place of business (Not all barbers were participating in the disrespectful conversation). Also it seems like prices vary from barber to barber. There are no set prices on the wall. One customer paid $10 while another paid $25. Some barbers accept card and some only accept cash. Questionable practice if youve never been there...Kinda sad for a place to have potential to give quality haircuts but the establishments professionalism is poor at best.

I was hesitant on taking my son into a barbershop, him being only 3 yrs. old and reading the previous reviews I was worried it would not be a family friendly environment. I am used to taking him to toonklips, but I am never happy with the quality of his haircuts. My cousin has been going here to fresh headz for a while, and he recommended I take my son to Travis (His chair is right in front as soon as you walk in to the right.). Well let me tell you that was the best decision I made! The place was clean, and everyone was friendly. I did not hear any vulgar language or music either which was mentioned in previous review. The customer service is excellent, and as soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked if they could help me. I had an appointment with Travis and he was ready for me within 2 minutes of me arriving! This is big for me because 3 yr olds are not patient and we have been to multiple shops where I have had an appointment and ended up waiting an hour before getting my son in the chair. Travis took his time with my son, he was patient and the haircut was the best cut my son has ever had! Highly recommend Travis and this shop as I noticed all the barbers did an amazing job! Plus although the website says closed, they are open on SUNDAYS!!!!!! Just one tip although they take walk-ins, I highly recommend scheduling with Travis in case he has appointments. Promise you won’t be disappointed!

I only give this place a 4 because of the wait, if you dont have an appt it takes a long time to get a chair. However that has nothing to do with the haircuts, my son and my husband both got their cuts (fades) here and they did a fantastic job!!

First bad experience. Have been taking my boys there and today we waited over 2 hrs. Your told to sign in if no appointment. You see barbers chillin and not once check the list. There is a sign to sign in for walk ins but I’m told “oh we take appointment only” then why have a sign for walk ins to sign in. Ridiculous..
