I have been using this company since they were Leon Valley Automotive years ago. I have always found them to be honest, prompt, and professional. There have been several times when they could have replaced my brakes, air conditioning parts, etc. when they have told me there was no need to at that time. I have been given options and advice on when to come back in. Their prices are reasonable and the work is done quickly and professionally. I have recommended them to a large number of people who have thanked me. It is not easy to find an honest car repair shop, and this one definitely is that. The staff is excellent.

It saddens me to write this review because Ive had work done multiple times at Summit Automotive & never had any issues. The guys are always so nice & helpful too.I went back to see why my car hood was shaking after having work done weeks before. I was told I needed work done that was way out of my price range. Still paying the cost of my diagnostic, I declined the service.After taking it to another mechanic, he informed me that the problem Summits technicians told me I had was false.Take note I did need work done on it that was in my price range but their offer was too high for something I didnt need at all.I dont know why they would tell me this if my second opinion told me that work didnt need to be done.

Summit Automotive is honest and dependable. This shop has been working on our vehicles for years because of the honesty. They dont fix things that are not broken. Females usually feel like they are getting charged for extra things because we are females. I have never been treated like that at Summit. This place is the best. Its hard to find honest mechanics these days. When I take my truck in and I ask them to check things like my brakes while doing the oil change, they always ask before they start service and ask me if Ive noticed unusual things like squealing or shaking. When things are good, they tell me and send me on my way. Theyve even done some simple repairs for free. They work fast too! Highly recommended!

Ive been serviced a few times here and cannot complain. Ive always been beyond satisfied with their customer service, promptness and prices. My experience today has made me both a believer in an honest practice here and inclination to be a lifetime customer for my family. I felt I needed a brake job for my vehicle due to a felt difference in my vehicle braking. After bringing my vehicle in and asking for an estimate, I was asked if I had time and they preferred to look at it versus giving me numbers. Shortly thereafter, I was asked for a description of what was happening.. And told my pads were in good condition. I was then asked to view the pads and given a detailed assessment that in which we both agreed that pads and a brake job would not be ideal, and they didnt feel it was good practice to charge me for brakes that I didnt need. Im not automotively advanced, but they have won my business and promotions per my family and friends. Especially, with the notion that the industry is believed to be highly fraudulent and dishonest. This team ROCKS and I highly recommend them. Also, Im not one to give reviews in the least, but I feel the public should be informed of great businesses and experiences. I was stressing for a few weeks dealing with my car, worried about the cost to repair I avoided it all. I finally stalled out and couldn’t avoid it any more. I called summit and Landon was more than helpful he went out of his way to find what I needed and called me back. I blew work off and jammed in. In less than one out I was back on the road. The biggest thing I noticed was on my way home from work I was jamming out singing and having a good time I completely forgot how long it had been since I was worry free behind that wheel. I don’t care how minor or major I’m going to summit and y’all better too!!!

I went to get a flat tire patched somewhere in town and they told me I needed 3 new tires costing over $600. I came to Summit for a second opinion and they patched it for $20! Its so nice to find a place where you feel youre not being taken advantage of. Honest and reliable. We will definitely be back!

Good place to go for all flush services. Their BG machine gets the job done. Been here several times for maintenance and have referred several other family members and friends. They even offer rides while your vehicle is being worked on! Ask for Chad and hell get you taken care of.

First rate service every single visit over about five years. Absolutely honest. Never have they taken advantage of my mechanical ineptitude, even though they have had several opportunities. It is comforting to know that there is a place where I can take my vehicle for service without the worry of getting had.

We took our truck there because we thought it was reputable. They did work on my truck before. They told us it would be a $1,200 fix. We declined the work and wrote it off as a loss. We went and bought a new vehicle. I had a friend whose a mechanic look at it. Turns out it was just a fuse in the power block. Swapped out the fuse and it started right up. So now were in a car payment without having too. On top of it we had to pay $110 for diagnostic .DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE.

Ive come to this specific shop a few times mostly because of the coupon that I had bought. I purchased it two years in a row and it was worth the amount for as much work they put into my car. The staff was very knowledgeable and I would personally recommend anyone on a budget that needs basic maintenance done.

My sons Mini Cooper was taken to Summit Automotive for an error code. The thermostat and housing were replaced at a cost of $900 plus. After 1 day the exact warning light comes on in the car. This time they say its the alternator at a cost of $1300 plus. It seems this should have been diagnosed the first time, but rather felt the need to gouge my son for $2200+. The chance the thermostat and alternator failed at the exact same time is slim to no chance. A mechanic knows that a bad battery or alternator will cause error codes to produce, but figure we, as consumers , have all the money in the world and dont mind paying his mortgage this month. In addition, upon researching the cost if that specific alternator, I found the MOST expensive alternator for that Mini Cooper S was $259. Summit billed my son $723+. Thats about as shady and dishonest as it gets.

I had bad luck with this place twice.They fix my car second time but they refill extra oil fir the engine make it smoking more cost me time and money to fix it again. From my experience with them i will not come here again.

BEWARE: Dishonest. Took my car in to have a check engine light diagnosed. Calls me and tells me the problem , quotes well over $700, and informs me that given my mileage, I should also add an injector flush service, which would get the bill closer to $1000.I told him I would go get a second opinion and quickly went to pick up my vehicle. Somehow in the 15 minutes I it took me to get there, the price started dropping due to their finding the parts cheaper (unlikely story). Also, if youre going to recommend scheduled maintenance, you shouldnt assume Im ignorant, because I have an owners manual AND the manufacturer sends reminders of what maintenance is ACTUALLY required/scheduled. No, thanks anyway Mr. Mitchell, I gave you one opportunity to earn a new customer, but you decided to make me a warning of your unethical business practices instead.

Quick service 15-20 mins - only had my state inspection but there were a lot of customers and I was pleased - other placed did not have an inspector. I was a little apprehensive reading some of the previous post but the service was very good.

I used to go there all the time for my oil change until I found out they have been putting the wrong oil in my car, which then caused one of the parts to get damaged, costing me almost $300. I didnt know better then so I paid to get it fixed, but now I know not to go back ever again.

Have dealt with Summit Auto for over 20 years and numerous vehicles. Completely the best in town as far as service, prices, reliability and honesty. Highest recommendation!

Work was done quick but new problems came up in the areas that they had worked and they found every reason to try and charge me just to look at it. They said it had a 12 month warranty but thats only parts. I dont know.....something just didnt add up. They refused to even look at it they wanted to charge me.

AAA recommend it for car repairs. They were reasonable in price for repairs, and also do the state inspection.

Dont waste your time here. I went in with a sensor issue and they did a bunch of things, replaced a battery that was fine with the contingency that if these things (that totaled up to $500 plus, I might add) I would have to replace a major part that would cost another $550. The problem got worse, my car started overheating and wouldnt allow my transmission to shift as it should. Come to find out, they cracked the connector from the sensor to the transmission which caused more troubles. Now I have to pay another diagnose fee, AND have the connector part replaced as well.VERY disappointed!

This company has 2 aquariums in the lobby. One is built into the counter.These fish make the wait more enjoyable.

Took my truck here for a differential oil change and was charged for labor and oil. Oil was $17 per quart. Thought is was high but didnt really think anything more. I had never priced it. My heart almost stopped when I saw it for $2.50 per quart. Thats almost 700% markup. Are all places like this?

I have trusted these guys with all of our vehicles and will continue to do so.

The service is horrible everytime I go for oil change they forget to top off fluids. This past time was crossimg the line thwy added only enough fluid to make light go off not even 1/4 of the tank. Then they charged 40$ for oil and filter which cost 30$ at advanced autoparts. Plus the labor my coupon or book that I purchased for 60$ was crappy because the prices were so over priced I still didnt save

Were going to charge $500 for a/c... took to Midas and paid $169. Didnt need the parts they said I did. Also for a door latch 200 dollars more than the dealer.
