My husband and I moved in at the beginning of 2021. We moved from CA to TX. It was definitely a journey to say the least. The Montecristo showed us just how awesome they were the on our move in day. We got stranded due to car issues and they still let us come after hours to move in that day. We’ve been here for about 6 months now and it has been great πŸ‘πŸΌ Everyone in the office is so helpful and nice. They don’t make you feel bad for asking questions or bringing up concerns and are quick to get matters solved. They have been very understanding and all in all I always feel like I am talking to a real human being!! If you are thinking of moving here, do it! Great rent prices for great units in a really nice area.

I have enjoyed my time here at The Montecristo, I just renewed my lease for the third year. The amenities are awesome, the pool and landscape is gorgeous. Great friendly staff that know each of the residents by name. This property is a very social and friendly property. We are like a little family. Couldnt ask for a better place to call home!

What a joke. I tried to get the total amount I would be required to pay on the day before move in, and I got a run around like you wouldn’t believe. Not only that, this lady was unbelievably disrespectful. What a joke. Just give a person the numbers and be honest from the getgo! So annoying!!!

I enjoyed my time at Montecristo, Im almost sad to leave. The staff stays on top of things and do their best to fix problems; Robert is a thorough and kind maintenance manager who always brings fun conversation to the table, and words of advice. I signed with Gabe two years ago and he made sure that my time at Montecristo was satisfactory. The rest of the staff are also great, I just dont know everyone by name. Overall, Im glad that I stayed here and wish a good future to the property!

Walked in with limited time to view the property and was treated with excellence with Claudia answering all of my questions while making me feel apart of the community already. All numbers and expenses were explained in detail but not in a pressing sales expression, more so in a kind, we are here for you approach, mixed with top class. Thank you for making the process of relocating to another city so effortlessly easy.

This apartment complex started off amazing!! My boyfriend has lived here for 2 years now. We loved it, we even has our friends come sign a lease here. However, recently it’s gone down hill. First off, parking is TERRIBLE. If you get home after 5 be prepared to walk to your building. Also, the back lots have SUPER small parking spots so they could fit a good amount of them. This means everyone is super close together, no one knows how to park straight, and you will have multiple dings on your doors from other cars because of it. Let’s not forget all the recent break ins and cars getting stolen that has happened. They have no remorse for you. They claim they hired a security cop who we haven’t seen since he started.. please read all reviews before you come and sign a lease here.

So I decided to change my previous review from 1 star to 4 stars. The place is nice and very well maintained. We did have several problems in the beginning, like parking and my boyfriend’s tailgate getting stolen. I mean they just filed a report about his tailgate getting stolen but nothing else was done about it after that. I truly believe people watch you when you when you become a new resident because we had less than a month there and the tailgate was gone. It’s not the properties fault but we were upset that it was stolen. Anyways, grounds are really well kept, staff is very friendly. Just parking is really crappy. But that’s at any apartment complex so I won’t cry about it anymore. I have recommended my friends to come check it out the apartments and lease here. It honestly really nice. If we don’t get a house by next year we most likely will lease here again.

I lived here for 3 years and I really loved this place! The management is extremely nice and helpful. I love all the activities they make ( breakfast and dinner for the residents and contests ) also one time my AC broke at a super late hour and they immediately came, also not to mention that the area is pretty good if you want to be in a good school district.

I have thoroughly enjoyed living here. We moved to this apartment in June of 2013 and our lease ends this August. Im so sad to be leaving this place! Beautiful interior and spacious kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom. And I think what makes or breaks a nice apartment like this is the staff. Front office is always friendly and willing to help and accommodate with whatever we need, whether its Martin, Anna, or Gabe. Maintenance is awesome. When we call, they are always so quick to help whether it be the same day or the next day. Valet trash service, clean kept pool, nice bar/cabana area, many places to grill, walking trail, and clean doggy park! Also location is great. Easy access to highways yet very quiet and peaceful location. We would recommend to anyone!

I moved to San Antonio with my family (wife and 4 kids) in the summer of 2018. While planning the move, we did extensive research on all the apartment communities in the Stone Oak area and put them all on a spreadsheet. We then checked reviews from sites such as yelp, google, apartmentratings.com, apartmentguide.com, etc. and populated the spreadsheet with the number of stars they all had on each of these sites as well as relevant feedback that people had provided. Once the spreadsheet was complete, Montecristo came out on top with flying colors. We then paid the Montecristo office a visit and they gave us a tour and we were lucky to find an apartment that met our requirements (3 bedrooms, first floor).About 3 weeks ago we moved out of Montecristo and we can honestly say we enjoyed our time there. Some of the things that we liked the most were:β€’ The pool is fabulous, really beautiful and always kept clean, at one point our kids wanted to go to the pool every single day.β€’ Free Wifi with good speeds at the pool and in the office and not to mention free coffee and delicious pastries.β€’ A business center with a working printer.β€’ They have an amazon hub which is a much safer way to receive packages than at the door.β€’ They make sure tenants keep their patios clean. I once got a notice that I had some items that were in my patio that I had to remove.β€’ Top-notch schools (for example Reagan High-School and Las Lomas elementary) are really close by.β€’ The management staff are very professional and super friendly, and the maintenance team is always busy making sure the community is clean and they fix any issue pretty quickly.β€’ Valet garbage pickup (Monday - Thursday)β€’ Very friendly neighbors (some of which have lived in the community for many many years)β€’ We always found a spot to park close to the apartment, and I have 3 cars.β€’ Never saw any pests (for example, cockroaches and ants) in the community.β€’ They are always engaging with the community, raffles, Easter celebrations, Christmas celebrations, Halloween patio contests, Zumba classes, etc.β€’ Very close to the most popular grocery stores, restaurants and attractions (everything within a 10-minute drive). For example, 2 miles from Costco, Walmart, HEB, Trader Joe’s, Target, Office Depot, Restaurants, Hospitals, Regal Movie Theater, Ice skating, etc. and about a 10-minute drive to La Cantera, IKEA, Fiesta Texas, UTSA, North Star Mall, etc.We really hope this review helps you in your search for an apartment in the Stone Oak area.

Best apartments I have ever lived in. For starters this place is quite. The grounds are kept very clean and the maintenance staff is on point every time! I’m going to miss this place for unmatched pricing and service. Ahead of moving here 8 years ago (whoa), I saw the reviews about parking struggles. With that, I toured the complex and noted the buildings near ample parking. I’ve lived in several complexes and this is the only one with the entire maintenance crew up at 8am daily - you don’t ever see that. The car next to mine got broken into for the reason of being unknowingly unlocked. Maintenance has since set up cameras to keep watch of the entry drive. I’ve gotten to know many neighbors just from walking my dog, and we all look out for each other. The building has pretty good insulation to where you can’t really hear neighbors, but that has proved to be different for me only this year β€” I have a heavy footed person living upstairs and some igmo blasting his car music late at night. Only other complaints are the steep required valet trash fee and too many outsiders occupying the pool. Regardless, I without a doubt recommend this place.

We lived at the Montecristo for 3 years and it was a top notch place to be. Cant say enough good things about the management and the staff. Maintenance issues, though few, were handled professionally and efficiently and the staff was always so kind and helpful. Move out was a breeze - there were no horror story unwarranted charges or anything of the sort. Its not often that I feel compelled to go online to give a positive review of a business, but we had such a great experience living here that it is well deserved. I would highly recommend to anyone to make it their home.

Lived here almost a year and love it! Moved from another Luxury Apt and What a difference. The Montecristo is 5 star LUXURY apt living. Front office staff friendly and efficient. They are outgoing, provide several social events a month for residents and so enthusiastic about all they do. The maintenance crew is wonderful as well. All maintenance requests completed within 24 hours-usually that day of the request. The grounds are beautiful!-Great landscaping! Beyond a doubt, a true gem. I highly reccommend the Montecristo.

I do not recommend moving into this apartment complex. I lived here for about a year with my boyfriend. During that time my car was vandalized and broken into on multiple occasions. It is supposedly a gated community but the gate is always malfunctioning and is typically open throughout the day and night. For the rent we paid you would think they would fix that stuff. Oh and make sure you check you dont walk on the grass because their is dog crap everywhere. The maintenance crew cant be bothered to clean it up I guess. I wont even get into the issues we had when we moved out. Not only should you not expect your security deposit back, you should expect to pay a little bit more, like 5 or 6 hundred bucks more. Run away.

When you first talk to an agent and show interest in renting with them. The agent Krystal would call and follow up with us at least twice a day. After the application fee and admin fee was paid and application was ran, never heard back from her. After more than a week of waiting for if we were or werent approved. We had concerns and had to go to the office to find out what had happen. There are lots of fees as well. They will run a special for the rent, but the amount of fees you have to pay brings the total monthly rent back up to being really high. I wouldnt waste your time if possible to even looking here as an option for renting. The worst part was that we were told the unit that we were planning to lease would be viewable before the move in date but that never happened.

I have lived here for a year and one month and I can honestly whole heartedly say this place is a wonderful place to live... BUT before I get into why you should consider making this place your home I will describe the issues I have had. My Jeep was one of the vehicles that was burglarized in the recent string of thefts. My wife left the door unlocked but nothing of value was in the vehicle. Another issue is the parking. I’m not gonna say much since everyone else has addressed that issue but my problem is that there are many out of state and even out of country license plates. I’ve seen several plates from mexico taking up spots in our lots. I have family in Mexico but you don’t see me going over there and taking their parking lol. I guess I do have one more issue. Security. I worked security for years in the city and in the oilfield, I know you try to find an affordable quote from a contractor and you hire them but the officer they have on location has never been seen in my area of the apartments by the exit near building 12 I believe. Either hire more officers to cover more ground or get a new contractor. Shoot even I will renew my license and do it lol. (That’s not how it works , I know but still) Beyond those issues I love the staff. The people in maintenance are the definition of diligent and it is even a pleasure to talk with them while they work. I’m not a particular upbeat or friendly person. I’m not hyping this place up because I’m a happy go lucky guy, but this place has and continues to make me happy. You won’t regret moving here. As soon as our lease is up we are definitely going to stay here but get a larger apartment as the floor plans anywhere else just don’t seem to be as nice as the ones here.

One of the best properties in Stone Oak, great location, is really central, great community, I love the facts that the staff does residential events probably like every two weeks, the staff is so friendly, theyre always helping and you can tell they do theyre very best to take care of any situation. I been here five months and Im really happy with my decision of moving in here, maintenance always takes care of any issue and they keep the property really clean which says a lot the pool is always looking great and the fitness center definitely has everything I need.

I love living here, however i highly disappointed in the management. I had an issue with one of the maintenance men, when i called to express this, management blew me off and said they would call me at a later time. I never received this call. I will not be signing another years lease due to this reason. They never replaced the blinds, either that they were supposed to shortly after i moved in, I never complained about that till now. we have Valet garbage service, which is nice, but they never come to pick until late at night, and they are rather noisy about it. very disappointed. as this is such a beautiful community.

I agree 100% with Landon Burrell. My girlfriend was a victim of the most recent car break-in’s. As Landon put it, the courtesy officer and his role or lack there of in the protection of the community is almost non-existent. Break-in’s are becoming more and more common at the Montecristo Apartments. When they happen just like Landon said, all they do is send you a courtesy email about it. When I went to the Apartmen Manager, Jocelyn Rivera, and expressed to her my concerns about the safety of the community, I asked her if I could be released from my lease to find another, safer community. Her response was, We are a fair housing community so we will not do that. For those of you who may not know that simply means, they are covering their grounds but aren’t actually going to allow you to leave even your safety is now at risk.I, along with Landon, will not be renewing my lease as well. For any tenants that are looking at renewing or new clients looking to lease here, please read this review carefully before you decide to sign on the dotted line. Also feel free to read Landon Burrell’s review, it states the same concerns for security.Other than that, maintenance is wonderful and Gabe at the office is always helpful.

Parking is limited! Also Dog park seems to be not kept up with, the gates dont close properly and there is very poor lighting at evening/night!!! Any dog can just run into the open parking or worst the highway!! How soon before they will fix the issues and attend to concerns? For what they charge in pet deposit rent etc... youd think theyd pay closer attention to amenities.

Everything excellentDefects? some, like everyone; but they work hard to solve them.Administrators seek to integrate the community by holding events at no cost to residents (Halloween, July 4, fathers day, etc.), offering food or candy. That is not easily found in other places.
