I stay at this property at least once a month and the staff is always friendly. You see a lot of the same faces which is always a good thing when you travel for business. The only thing they need to do is bring back then normal daily house keeping. We’re paying a premium right now for rooms which I understand, but at-least give a premium experience. I would recommend this hotel anytime.

Considering all elements of my stay, 3 stars is fair. A very modern hotel with a convenient location, but I would not recommend for longer stays or particularly light sleepers.Pros: this is a very modern and well-kept hotel right in the heart of downtown SLC. There is a bar onsite that stays open pretty late. The shower (although small) was very good - I enjoyed the overhead shower head.Cons: the standard king rooms are tiny, easily the smallest I’ve stayed in. Half of the rooms are right on a pretty busy street and if you’re a light sleeper then you will notice the noise, even on the 8th floor. There is limited storage available for unpacking clothes.Traveling for work, I stay at Marriott hotels probably 60-70 nights a year, for some background.

Such a welcome addition to the Marriott hotels available in downtown SLC which our mostly outdated. This hotel is fresh, clean, simple, and welcoming. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and made the check in experience quick and smooth. I didn’t get to enjoy the bar or breakfast since I only spent time at the hotel to sleep. But the room itself is the spacious and modern look you’d find at any other AC. I had a corner room which filled the room with natural light with the floor to ceiling windows. The window drapes covered everywhere and allowed a close to blackout experience. I had no problems with noisy neighbors during my stay. The A/C allows you to keep the fan on constant as well for some good white noise, something I do in every hotel room if able. Will be back!

Nothing to rant and rave about but the esthetic and overall comfort is nice. For two people staying in a room, idk where they expect to put your clothes. No drawers or anything, just kind of a standing closet to hang a few shirts in. Bar doesn’t open til 5. Just feels like limited feels all around because of “COVID”. Parking is easy as they have a garage they utilize next door. Location is quite ideal as well. Again, a comfortable stay, very clean, staff was friendly.

Bed were very comfy and the rooms are very aesthetically pleasing but this hotel is PEAK form over function. The light switches in the rooms don’t make sense, the bathroom light is controlled from outside the bathroom, despite there being switches in the bathroom that appear to just be dummies, honestly. They do nothing. Additionally the bathroom door is a sliding pane of opaque glass, which looks cool, but there’s about a 3/4 inch gap around the whole perimeter which means it doesn’t actually close. If you’re alone it’s fine but it can be a little unsettling hearing your family loud and clear lol. Bar is great

Spotless rooms, prime location, enough for full body work-out gym and the best staff west of the Wasatch and east of the Oquirrhs. The AC earns five stars especially if you follow these PRO-TIPS: ask for a quieter room, request a humidifier (if you are from a coast) and make reservations at (five minutes walk) White House, The Ivy or Pago (ten minutes).Salt Lake has a dearth of boutique hotels (they are coming but dont tell anyone) with local style- and the AC does have a lot of beige and the hotel bar is not going to rock your world. Want a killer workout?- hike Grandeur Peak, ski/ride Snowbasin or Snowbird. Remember to tip housekeeping staff. The roads in Salt Lake City are really wide because during ski season private planes land on them in the early mornings. Switches are flipped upside down or non responsive, there’s no option to turn on bedside lighting if the master switch is off, and the same goes for the excellent array of power and USB charging ports. Thusly, ankles get rolled in the dark and reviews are submitted on half charged devices.

When I arrived at the front Desk was extremely rude aside from not have room for me and telling me I can be seated in the lobby until they found a room for me possibly that day. He explained to me that if I left and someone else came in that room would be given to them. When I was checked in, only after a call to corporate, was very flippant and extremely rude like I had imposition to him. Arriving to my room I was in such a hurry I didn’t notice how nasty the room still was. There was no toilet paper, there was dirt on the floor, dust on everything in the room. I now wonder if the sheets were even clean! The next day housekeeping came in and “cleaned” there were still dirt on the floor every surface still have dust, all the glass and stainless was still smudge and smeared. My bathroom was dirty they did however replace my toilet paper, and take my soiled linens. Which they did not replace. And never came and replaced. I did chase down the cart and get some towels and soap on my own. After talking to the front desk on my way out that morning and explaining this problem and asking for a blanket the front desk told me that I have a thermostat in my room and explain to me how to work itOn the last night of my say my neighbors had a very loud and spirited conquest next-door including extremely loud music. After three calls to the front desk between 10 PM and 2 AM they offered to move ME! Upon check out a mousy redheaded girl at your front desk gave me a very condescending bottom lip pouty face with every one of my complaints that I expressed to her with a “Awww, I’m sorry” At the very end handed me a card to the assistant general manager. Who I’m hoping will return my call soon. Trust me I’m not holding my breath. After that experience I know exactly how motivated the staff the hotel truly is. I was never greeted by the front desk when walking in and out and it was not friendly. The cornerstones of hospitality if not already should be take care of your guests and treat them well, Or to the Internet they will go with every complaint and problem for the whole world to view and see. That all of your issues and shortcomings will be broadcast.Needless to say I will never return to that hotel again!

This is a new hotel, I am guessing built in the last year or so?I have no complaints about our stay. We stayed here for a week, so if there were problems, I think they would have cropped up.There were a few hiccups. We had no maid service the first day we were there, not a big deal, but we had no towels. We talked to the front desk and the front desk clerk ran up and took care of it for us while we went to dinner. I guess there are no maids there in the evening. The safe in the room, it is too small to fit a 15 laptop, that was annoying. The other thing, they have those silly lo-flow toilets that are square, not the most comfortable and they do not flush well. Not the end of the world. If possible, get a corner room, they are very open and bright, and offer some nice views. We did not have a rental car, we just walked everywhere we needed to go since everything is so close. We will be in town next year again, pretty sure we will stay here again.

We were in Salt Lake City on vacation and I wanted a modern, comfortable hotel with secure private parking. It was the only hotel I could find downtown that had their own private parking which was important to me for security since the previous hotel we stayed at in Park City - the car alarm went off in the evening, but luckily we heard it because our room was close and we ran out to investigate and scared the culprit away. We wanted to be close to the downtown activities so we could walk to the venues. I also like light and bright modern rooms and this hotel fit the bill with excellent lighting. The price was not the cheapest, but not the most pricey either - so it was perfect for us. The staff went above and beyond to meet our every need and we were really appreciative. Everyone was friendly, professional, hospitable, and did their jobs with a smile and finesse. It was very clean, modern, and stylish. The breakfast was great, but was not free. The only downside for me is that the rooms have only showers, but the pluses far outweigh that minor thing. I would definitely stay there again the next time and highly recommend it to anyone who is going to Salt Lake.

The AC by Marriott Salt Lake City looks grim from the outside, but is smart and stylish within.Guest rooms are well decorated but lack wardrobes: instead theres a short hanging rail.Beds are comfortable and offer good sleep quality, which is unfortunately countered by the difficult air conditioning system and noise from outside the room (both in the corridor and on the street).Breakfast is - quite frankly - strange. You serve yourself from a very limited range of items, such as cereals (not always kept filled), yoghurt, fruit, sliced cold cuts, cheese, and quiches. There is no hot food unless you count the packet of oatmeal you can warm in the microwave. Theres no ready-sliced bread. It all feels cheap without being cheerful. And its still $14pp. They pitch it as an all you can eat buffet. Nice try, but this is not up to standard. The little boxes of milk frequently ran out and werent replaced, and there were never enough breakfast tea bags.

The hotel is nice, new and modern. its in a good location downtown that is walkable to restaurants, bars and breweries. But despite it being a new hotel, they cut some corners on noise proofing. I stayed on the 4th floor, but could hear every car on the street drive by. I even had to plug my ears when an ambulance drove by because it was seriously that loud (not exaggerating). Also I could hear the neighbors next door and above me walking heavy and just their normal conversation like they were inside of my room. this made it incredibly difficult to sleep, especially since I was staying for business and had to be alert for full day meetings with clients.I would rate the hotel very high overall if it wasn’t for the sound proofing which needs some serious work since it’s located in a downtown area.

I attended a casual professional event in the bar and it was absolutely fantastic. The food selection was great, something for everyone. The drinks were lovely. The set up was very nice. Very accommodating for our group of 10+ people. The staff was also fantastic and attentive. Great experience all around.

Just stayed at the AC Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT. It was the second time there and the third time at an AC Hotel. The other stay was Oklahoma City, OK. Each location was really amenable to walking in the city. I really liked the Salt Lake City AC Hotel because there are many restaurants and activities in walking distance to include the Convention Center. The AC Hotel is new and the electronic key from the Marriott app worked. A nice amenity is a corner of the hotel first floor has a covered outdoor area with comfortable seating. A new go to hotel for Salt Lake City!

Very nice hotel! Really modern and high quality. I loved staying there and hope to again. The biggest annoyance for me was the chemical fragrance in the lobby that seemed ever-present. Im not sure what it was but it was way too strong and unnecessary. Made me gag each time I had to cross through there.

Great hotel experience. Rooms are modern, could use a rug or something next to the bed, but they were comfortable and well-designed. Loved the water and ice bars on each level. The one negative is that the gym is tiny. In town for a conference and the gym could not contain us. 2 treadmills, 1 bike, 1 elliptical, free weights set with bench and one multi user machine. That is it.

Nice newly opened property in the heart of downtown. Beautiful room with updated appointments. Be aware while spacious, the closet, closed storage space, bathroom shelves, are spartan. But plenty of open space to spread out your things. Nice views of the Capitol and Temple Square from the 8th floor. Comfortable bed and couch, excellent shower. Breakfast is not included for any level of membership, even Platinum Elite. It is 15 for your typical Marriott style buffet so I suggest you skip it. But Red Rock and other options are just a few steps away.

This is a beautiful hotel with a great location. The rooms are beautiful. The big negative for me was a limited choice breakfast (no egg dishes) that was not included in the price of the room.

The staff, hotel design, layout, and up-keep are exactly what I look for in a hotel. The AC doesnt disappoint on any of them. Some people might be disappointed that they dont offer room-service, however, the hotel is located in downtown SLC and you have a city full of options accessible via apps like DoorDash that will deliver right to your room - so thats really not an issue. I wont look anywhere else in SLC again, or likley in other cities with AC options as long as they uphold the same standards.

We stayed at the AC Hotel for my sons Birthday. We had to stay close by to accommodate his work schedule. The front desk gave us a corner room with a nice view and made sure we were comfortable. The hotel was updated clean and accessible to downtown. We enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I decided to break away from the kids last weekend and thought we would give the AC by Marriott a try. So glad we did! This is an amazing hotel, with contemporary decor, extremely comfortable rooms and a great staff. Conveniently located within walking distance of all the best downtown destinations, this is the place to make home base on a visit to SLC. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Smells like mens cologne the second you walk in. I liked the scent but if you are sensitive to cologne avoid this place. Nice modern feel in the lobby and rooms. Our room had a lot of hard surfaces, like tile and wood. My room came with a complimentary safe so you can feel secure leaving your wallet or jewelry in it. Bathroom had a translucent glass door so not much privacy if you arent staying with family or someone you dont mind hearing you in the bathroom. Breakfast is served but not included with the room unless you specifically pay for it with your room. Although Breakfast is good, with fresh fruit and real food, it is a little pricey.

My husband and I visited this hotel for a few days to take a trip for our two year anniversary and we loved it! The customer service was great, the bed was comfortable, the hotel room was spacious and clean and being able to watch Netflix was awesome! We highly recommend this hotel and will be visiting again in the future!
