I mean, what isnt there to love? The environment is fantastic and the volunteers do everything possible to keep everyone safe and comfortable. The space is perfect, and everything is well organized. The events and panelists are exactly who people want to see as well. I always wish they had more anime panels, and Id recommend going to every one of Aaron Yeagers panels. Overall its a fantastic time.

It was fun. Its a big place and there were a lot of new vendors but also a lot of the ones that come every time. I didnt get any photo ops and the pricing of stuff ranges to a little expensive to really expensive, depending on what you are buying. They were also really strict about mask wearing

This event can be really fun! You get to see a lot of creative costumes and talented individuals.I have always gotten the multi-day passes for my family and I, but have found my favorite day is Saturday which closes with a couple hour Cosplay show where you get to see the best of the best costumes from novice to expert, including groups.Unfortunately, the vendor floor is often too crowded to really enjoy and many participants fail to notice they are cutting off and running into those of us who are paying attention.Its a must to experience at least once in your life, whether you dress up or not.

One of the best con experience I ever had. One of the biggest if not the biggest con I ever attended. Huge venue lots of things to see and more organized than other cons. I been to anime expo and other conventions and this was definitely the best.

It was wayyyyy too expen$$$$ive to buy anything from vendors or to eat there but totally worth paying the $35 or ao (we get military amd student discount) to see a bunch of fun awesome incredibly creative people ( and some lame ones that cant find a costume in time 💁🏻‍♂️) paeade their best attire in such energy field way especially since the kids can get in for free with a pay ticket otherwise I wouldnt go. Parking is absolute hell and its expensive and the rip off all times was the guy selling them cloth masks outside for $5 each because he has connections and was warned ahead of time to go sell those masks since Fan X was going to demand people to be masked (a GREAT IDEA,. second reason why i went, masks were mandatory and since nobody reads these things i was wearing Wonder Womens thongs carrying a pineapple in my umbrellaKids loved it.See you next year again

Lots of great exhibits and good mask compliance. Neat pop stars available for signatures and interaction. I felt sorry for some of the less popular stars. The prices were a bit high so I think that lowering prices would really increase traffic to their booths. Food choices were very limited. I liked seeing all the innovation in products. Cosplay was quite good. I wish I had taken advantage of panels.

Fan-x is a great time. They have some fantastic panels. I highly recommend looking at the list and attending at least one.The artist at the con are amazing. I spent hours just looking at each and every booth.But the best thing about fan-x is all the amazing like minded people that you get to meet.

Absolutely amazing and tons of fun! The Vendors were selling really cool stuff, like posters, cosplay armor and trinkets. There were some amazing cosplayers as well! Im definitely going next year!!!

It was busy! The staff and volunteers were very polite and handled it with grace. There were so many venders, and the panels were very informative for beginners.

It is so big, but also amazing. You can meet some of your favorite celebrities, or by comics. There are huge variety of vendors there I highly recommend this people have gone before also those whove never been.

The first time I went back when it was still comic con, there were a lot more interactive displays and photo ops. Now, as of 2021, its nothing but booths all selling the same assortment of about 10 things. Everywhere. Which can be fun for a lot of people. I just really missed the actual fan experience this time around.. only had a shopping experience.

Havent been since 2019 due to the pandemic, but after coming back again, the panels were great and the artists/booths had tons of great art and merchandise.

This was a ton of fun to attend and see all the amazing art work and projects our local community creates!

We love FanX and have attended every year. I wish rules were enforced better, especially with the concerns this year, but I know there are a lot of people to manage and not enough volunteers to manage them. Otherwise, we love the celebrities and Artist Alley!

Mask mandate was very poorly enforced, but everything else went off without a hitch. Overall a great experience.

This convention never fails! Ive yet to have an issue or problem arise, and Im sure if there were to be one, the staff would try their absolute best for whatever imaginary circumstance occurs.However I will warn that the food provided isnt the best for my own platter. Their food court is pretty average regarding its menu options. Walking around all day doesnt mix with the more exotic food stands scattered around either. (Although they still look rather delicious!) I typically eat something light beforehand, along with packing some fruit snacks and etc, and I personally would advise to bring plenty of your own water!!

FanX was awesome!!! Kids 10 yrs old and younger are FREE!!!I love that it has a kidcon area for them to explore, play and have fun.If you park at the city center parking lot across the street or up a couple blocks. Fees: 1st hour is free and then it’s $2 each additional hour.Just know you’re probably going to be there all for several hours to all day, so if you find event parking for like 10 bucks…park there!

Wonderful experience, learned a lot from the panelists, enjoyed the entertainment on the vendor floor.Could have been better organized. Recommend placing signage to be viewed over the crowds and the use of crowd control stanchions to manage traffic flow. Every intersection became a choke piont.

Theres always room for improvement, but its always a fun event! We love the artists and vendors and cosplays we get to see every year.

The best place to get out and cosplay, they have so many items for sale. I would be surprised if you didnt find something you like. The best day to go is Saturday because of the deals! I had so much fun this year, Im definently going back next year!

Always such a blast!! Favorite parts are the vendors, panels and all the incredibly talented cosplayers! And this year was the BEST ever!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for getting Peter Cullen and Frank Welker to visit us!! I was soooooooo on cloud nine all weekend. I missed a lot of panels waiting in line for autographs and photo ops, but that was an acceptable trade off this year. Honestly THANK YOU!! I crying when the news came out. So many of us sooo needed this mini vacation. I wish it could have lasted longer and that there was a way to send Peter and Frank a heart felt thank you letter. I soooooooo needed that!!!

I spent a lot of money to stand in line for three days. I paid in advance for a photo opp with Kane Hodder and was scammed. Waited in line for 6 1/2 hours to meet him and left when I was told it was going to be another 4. If you have the money to spend on a VIP pass, it might be worth it. Otherwise a complete waist of time and money. Ps. Dont buy your tickets on Facebook, thats who scammed me.

Bought tickets in early 2020 never received wristbands have gotten the runaround since and seems like I was defrauded of about a hundred bucks by a convention that cannot even mail out passes paid for in advance. I do not recommend.P.S. I have met several others with this issue and am going to have my bank return the money as a fraudulent charge.

Oh my goodness, FanX is so much fun, there is something for every type of nerd-dom. Weve had some amazing celebrities that have been kind enough to come and meet their loyal fans. Artist Alley is always a favorite, artists coming from all over to share their take on their genre of choice. Absolutely love it.

Glad FanX is back! Even tho no photo ops this year since those I wanted canceled, it was still a great event. Lots of books, autos and art. Not to mention it was my buddies first year going. Safe to say I think he enjoyed himself very very much! He is already planning next, which will be even better. See everyone again in 2022!

FanX offers remarkable opportunities and incredible programming -- and for some, the chance at reunions.

Some of the volunteers were rude and was very demanding. I work with the public and I understand that the public can be hard but dont get physically angry with them and tell them that you are done with them. That was the only thing that bothered me everything else was amazing.

This was my first time going to Fan X and it was an absolute blast. If you have never gone... GO! You will not regret it!

Where do I start. The best thing ever to happen to Salt Lake City. Awesome every time we go with my family and stuff for all of us to see and do. Great guests, vendors, panels. FanX is the Disneyland of Utah.

OMG FANX WAS A BLAST THIS YEAR!I loved all of the vendors and amazing guests. There were tons of celebrities and amazing panels to sit in on. I got to meet my favorite impractical joker Murr.

Waited in line for almost three hours to get my wristbands I paid for in 2019..It would have saved a lot of headaches if they had mailed them out like they promised. I had about a five block line when I started. It took over three hours to get the wristbands. Completely unorganized.

Walked around for an hour bored finally after a Indiana Jones epic search found the line to the fermented gold paid 8 frakn dollars for a 12oz uninta beer . Has gone down hill so bad since its launch . Its no little more than a low grab swap meet for need collectable . Comics to be found good luck if you want toys you good . And last thought why do people knowing they are walking in a pathway just frakn stop in the of the way and just stand ?

First time to a comic con and this place was amazing! The setup was fairly easy to navigate through this huge building, very fun panels. Got to see Tom Holland wooo! Definitely will be going again, I highly recommend.

It was SOOOO much fun. Me and my dad have gone the past 4 years now and plan to go every year after. My sister came with us this past year and she liked it too. She isnt as much as a nerd as me and my dad are but it just shows that there is stuff for everyone here. The panels are great, there is always cool booths selling such amazing things, talented artists, popular authors and actors. I look forward to it every year. It is one of my favorite things to go to ever!

Its a good experience

Horrible experience no management whatsoever, stood in line for hours no signage no directions. After waiting four an hour and a half the only line monitor put us in a side line to pick up our wristbands after waiting another half hour the guy at the table tells us were in the wrong line and cant get our bands, had to go back and wait in another line for another hour, ridiculous. Once we were in the vendor floor there were so many people you couldnt look at anything. Limited food and drink options, tickets were way oversold fan x is nothing but greed and disorganized.

This is the ultimate playground for geeks and fans of various movies/TV shows and even cartoons. So many vendors and local artists to browse as well as new authors to discover. The panels are always fun and well thought out. Celebrities range from the niche to the very famous and, over the years, the process of meeting them has been fine tuned to an art form. Dan Farr has created something truly special I hope lives on for decades to come.

Fun convention but needs more than one entrance to pay at.

Like always my eyes are tired my feet are tired and I laughed my but off at twisted toons the end to my weekend lots to see for whatever genre geekhood you belong to we always have a place here to go to!

FanX is an excellent event, made less than perfect only by some of the rust from last year.The lack of printed maps being less excusable, and wristbands instead of lanyards being an odd choice.

Really fun convention! It really is made for the attendees. A lot of thought and work goes into the panels and guests. Also the volunteers are always nice!

FanX is always an amazing convention. Weve attended as Artists for the past 5 years. We are always taken care of by the staff and we consider our fans of SLC like family. Wonderful people, vendors, panels and Celebs. We do 35+ conventions a year and this one is top notch and one of our favorites to do. The pricing is competitive and the interaction between staff and attendees and vendors alike is like no other. They care about their attendees and it shows. We will continue to come back every year.

A great family atmosphere. Great list of guests, with lots of panels with question and answers periods from some of Hollywoods biggest stars. Wonderful cosplay community with people there that help you with ideas on how to make costumes. The event also has a vibrant community of artists !

FanX is one of the best conventions out there. They bring in some of the biggest names in entertainment. They try to have a great mix of authors and artists.

Sssooooo much fun. My wife and I go every year. Everybody should go at least once so you can have the experience. My wife and I even dress up. I dont understand why some people think its dorky to dress up but yet they think its fine to celebrate their favorite sports teams and wear their teams colors and decorate their house in their teams memorabilia. Its the same thing. Anyway hear is some pics from SLCC or FanX as they are called now.

Had a lot of fun. Even though there were a few hiccups, overall, had a great time making new friends and enjoying the awesome costumes and creativity.This was my 2nd time to attend. It continues to get better.

I had a good time there. I was one of the vendors and did well with my group. I saw a ton of great costumes but only captured a few.

See the celebrities. Local artists and authors. Vendors galore. This year Minifigures were a big thing at the vendors. KidCon was good for my 8 year old though I think is was gear for a little younger.

Its amazing. I highly recommend going at least once a year. The event in the Spring is geared towards fans of TV, Movies, Pop Culture, Comic Books, and all Fandoms. The Fall Event is more geared toward the Comic Book side but is still super inclusive of all fandoms.The prices are very reasonable. Although some of the vendors can get a little pricey its well worth it and the artists are always friendly and nice and have quality work for sale.Make sure you bring a camera to capture people cosplaying just ask before you take a picture itll be more than happy to pose for you.

This is my second year attending Salt Lake Comic Con, and once again I am absolutely blown away by how nice everyone on staff is, and how eager and excited they are to make sure everyone has an excellent experience. I have used ADA passes both times; I have a mood disorder with extreme anxiety, and this year I am freshly out of the hospital for a serious illness that has left me with all sorts of restrictions. When you have an invisible illness (or two, in this case), its often difficult and sometimes humiliating to ask for help. But every single SLCC staff member and volunteer I have come across has been thorough and enthusiastic in doing everything they can to provide me the help I need. I am also so impressed by the caliber of celebrity that visit SLCC, since it is smaller than, say, the conventions in San Diego and Atlanta. The largest conventions draw the biggest stars, but theyre also logistical nightmares with endless waiting and no guarantee youll get into the panels or photo ops you want, or that youll be able to buy the merchandise youre after before it sells out. SLCC is exactly the right size. Its big enough to draw major celebrities, but its small enough that you spend more time actually experiencing the things you came to do and see than waiting in line for them. Salt Lake Comic Con is a wonderful experience with stellar stars you can freely engage with, and an absolutely incredible staff totally invested in ensuring that you have a wonderful time.ETA: I have been using the Salt Lake Comic Con app for the first time this year, and I love it. It is amazingly helpful, and makes everything even easier.

Second time Ive taken my kids here and its awesome. Friendly, nerdy, geeky goodness.

To crowded, food was horrible and way over priced, disorganized, and a dare anyone to find comic books at this comic convention, completely pointless and a total waste of money
