The service here is amazing. Brought in my stihl chainsaw to get a new chain and bar. The guy behind the counter refuse to sell me the bar because he said I didnt need it swapped out my chain , cranked it up showing me it was good to go. Their prices are better than the big box store ! Im a customer for life you dont find experienced, honest help often enough. Thanks again wished I remembered the gentlemans name who helped me.

Thank you to longhorn power for squeezing in both of my machines and for getting them tuned up for routine maintenance and my blades sharpened. And the work was actually finished EARLIER than anticipated. It was a nice surprise to see that they weren’t extremely forceful when it came to enforcing masks, being that everyone there was social distancing. I like to breathe, and so do they, especially when they work around lots of gas fumes! Their breathing is important so that we can continue to bring in our outdoor power machinery, and be able to buy from their impressive selection of new products and equipment!

I purchased a Honda HRX217HYA walk behind, self-propelled, gas powered, 21 inch cut mower from Kevin Thomas today. This equipment replaces a 1989 model that is nearly identical in form and function. The customer service experience is excellent at Longhorn Outdoor Power Equipment. If this new mower does not start on the first pull for the next thirty years I will be back to discuss it with Kevin. I have been in this shop several times. Sometimes to just look and learn about the new equipment, sometimes to buy different pieces of equipment. One thing I can say is that the owners pay attention to their customers. They always answer every question and teach you thoroughly. The customer service and LOYALTY to customers is amazing. I bought a SCAG Vride 2 about a week ago and they taught me in and out how it works and how to service it myself. I also had an incident where the belt fell off a piece of my equipment and one of the owners literally drove out within 10-15 minutes and took care of me and out it back on, on site. I haven’t seen customer service like this in a long time. These are good men running a great business with integrity and respect. They have earned a customer for life with myself and my business.Jay

My final conversation was simple, fix it or return it. They are refusing to answer the phone saying it hurt my dads feelings.This place is terrible. RUN.

It was a great experience.Started having problems with the mower a couple months ago and finally got around to bringing it back in for them to take a look at.They found the problem and took care of it and I was out the door for a low price for great work.When I picked up my mower, I forgot to grab my receipt and when I came back I asked if the blade had been sharpened. Masks are not enforced at this establishment, violating state and local laws.I came to this dealer a few days ago and was disturbed to see 3 employees and 4-5 customers inside not wearing a mask while some were less than 6 feet apart in distance. Currently, and at the time of my visit, it is a state, and local law to enforce masks being worn both by the employees, and the customers.I will not be returning to this dealer because I will not support a business that doesnt respect the health of their customers.

In addition, they delivered the mower to my house on the same day I ordered it. Even better, Chris (part owner of the comapny) stayed about 40 minutes to show me how to use to mower and perform basic maintenance. 5 Stars!

Took my chainsaw for service and had them pick up my riding mower (for a fee) for a seasonal fix up. When it was returned, the front grill was in pieces and it now wont run for more than a few seconds.(It was fine before) They bought me a new front end for it, and dropped it off for me to figure out how to install it. Now they say theyll pick it up again and try again..... I will update, but it looks like a great big waste of my time and money.

Great service

Took my mower in for a pre-season tuneup. Staff is friendly. My mower came back cleaner than when I dropped it off and was stored indoors. Would have given 5 stars but it took over 2 weeks to get my mower back. I dont know if it always takes that long or if it was a fluke. This place is closer to me than Austin Outdoor Power (my other go-to place) and much better than the less-expensive home operations because they store my mower indoors where it doesnt get rained on.

Had my John Deere serviced (200 hour tune up, carb cleaning) with great results. Top notch family run, new to area, but a lot of experience in the business. great turnaround since they had almost no backlog -- but that wont last!

Purchased an echo weedeater, the guy working there was knowledgeable about the models I was looking at. He set it up and started it in store with me prior to leaving and gave me recommended instructions on fuel types, maintenance, and use. Definitely will check them out when I start looking at mowers.

I own a Honda HRX 217 Lawnmower, GCV 190, and I am extremely particular where I take it for service. Recently I had an excellent experience with Kevin Thomas. Although I live in Lago Vista, Texas it was worth the effort and time that it took to have this company perform the maintenance on the mower. Every business in Round Rock should come to these guys to learn how to do customer service right. I brought my chainsaw in for repair knowing it would take at least a couple of weeks before they could even look at it. Kevin took the chainsaw apart while I waited and told me it was beyond repair. Do you know how much he charged me? NOTHING! I know other shops in the area wouldve charged $40 for telling me what it took Kevin less than a minute to tell me.

They may be new to the area but they arent new to the business. They were friendly, got the work done quickly, and made the whole process a great experience. I cant say that for a certain outfit in Georgetown who have gotten my money for many years (and were rarely friendly!). Ill keep coming back here, thats for sure.

Adam, has helped me several times with my Stihl products and I am very satisfied. Also they were able to find some hard to find Echo parts.7-9-20 just bought a new honda, no box -no fuss. Mower was fully assembled and Larry started for me on first pull. What service and they loaded it up for me, and the price was right. Also few months ago they fixed my weed eater.

I initially called ahead to see if they had a specific Honda push mower I was looking for, they said they had one similar to it and asked if I could come in. I decided to go in and see what they had. Thank goodness I did. They were very knowledgeable about the Honda mowers I was interested in, specifically the Honda (HRX217HYA). They did not have that specific one I was looking for, but they did have the self starting Honda mower (HRX217HZA) which is the exact same mower, but has the self starting engine with the key. I knew that the mower they were showing me was about a $100 more than the specific Honda mower I was looking for, but they actually dropped the price of that mower for me b/c it wasnt the exact one I was looking for. That meant so much to me as a customer. Little did they know, I actually was feeling out this company to see if they were a good business to work with due to the fact that I was starting a lawn service business. Needless to say, they went above and beyond and I will be buying more equipment from them for my business.

I had a broken leaf blower which I had lamely tried to repair myself (including installing a new carb purchased from Amazon). More curious and frustrated than actually needing this blower repaired (I had already bought a new one), I just wanted the problem diagnosed.I brought it to Chris at Longhorn. While they would normally charge $35 for a diagnosis, he patiently listened as I wove my story of frustration. Finishing my story while wiping away some tears (mine, not his), Chris said, Hey, if it intrigues you, it intrigues us. Right there at the counter, he checked the spark plug, changed it out, and started the blower.For $6.95 I got a new spark plug, tuned carb, good as new blower, and words of wisdom: Dont never again buy knock-off spark plugs -- and quit flooding the carb.In all seriousness, you will not find this kind of customer concern and service in N. Austin unless you are a big landscaping company. I will highly recommend Longhorn to all my neighbors in Austin -- its worth the drive.

I have just under 2 acres to mow, mostly flat, with mature oaks and with a few bumps. I decided to rent a zero turn to verify it would reduce my mowing time. The bumps made me slow down, since the seat on the rental was not a suspension seat. But I was able to mow the lawn in less than half the time than my lawn tractor.In my research, I found that residential zero turns go at the same speed as my lawn tractor. So I compared the higher speed zero turns. The price was double the residential mowers.I was deciding between Toro, Husqvarna and Ariens. The models were the upper end residential.The dealer websites I searched within the Round Rock – Austin Area were lacking in the current inventory. I had to call several dealers, to see if they had inventory of either of the zero turn I was looking for. Longhorn Outdoor Power said they had several Toro zero turns in stock.It was a Saturday October 14th when I went to Longhorn Outdoor Power to take a look. The owner asked if I needed help, and although I was tire kicking, he took the time to answer all my questions. He even asked what I was going to use it for. Once I explained that I would use it mostly to mow my lawn, and occasionally use it for properties I buy, he recommended the Toro Titan HD 1500 which is an entry level commercial mower.The quote for the Titan HD was right at my budget, and after thinking about it for a day I decided to purchase. I bought it on Monday, and Longhorn offered free delivery. I wish they could have delivered it the same day, but our schedules didn’t sync until Thursday. What made me decide on Longhorn Outdoor Power, was their customer service, the stock of items they had, and their location. They are 15 minutes from my home, and if I ever have any problems, I’ll be able to take in the lawn mower, or they will pick it up for warranty issues.When delivered, they forgot to add gas, and the delivery guy immediately offered to go and get gas. After returning he went over the entire features, maintenance, and adjusted the blade height on the mower.So far the mower is great, and I will definitely go back to Longhorn Outdoor Power when my string trimmer gives up.
