Ms Lee did an incredible job with my High & tight, everybody is so nice shop is very clean! I can not say enough about how great Ms Lee was at not only cutting my hair but great conversation too, she said she had never done a military cut like mine but I’m telling you it was perfect like she had been doing them on a military forever. I will for sure be back and recommend to anybody that needs an awesome cut and great environment while doing it!! Thanks again Ms Lee!!!

Lee cut my hair and did a great job. Not sure if the amazing head massage is a standard with a shampoo or just something Lee does. Either way it really felt great. She was very attentive to my hair styling needs and asked lots of questions to be sure Id like it. This really paid off as my hair is just perfect. I will be back.

I made an appointment to get my haircut. I arrived a few minutes early, but they were quick to get me assigned to a stylist. I went and sat at the chair and the stylist seemed rather nervous because I dont think he had cut many womens hair. I proceeded to give him very specific instructions, I had shoulder length hair and I explained that I wanted to have my outgrown layers fixed, I wanted my hair fall to my shoulders when dry and I wanted to have the face framing fixed. Not really that complicated. Everything seemed okay at first, but then I was turned away from the mirror and couldnt see exactly what was going on. By the time I was turned back again, he had cut off all my hair. My simple shoulder length cut, resulted in a pixie cut. I never asked for or wanted a pixie cut. He took it upon himself to remove countless layers of my hair without asking or conferring with me. I paid my bill and left. The next day after Id had some time to process what had happened, I called the Salon and spoke with Estelle the manager. She came across as feeling genuinely bad about the situation and personally offered to fix the disaster. I opted to not take her up on that. I instead made an appointment at a reputable salon to have my hair fixed. This is just a warning that if you go to Cost Cutters, even for a simple trim, be careful.

I went on Saturday for highlights. It didn’t turn out anything like I imagined and was chunky. I called and assistant manager was so sweet. Then Lee redid my hair completely and was so friendly and professional and did an exceptional job on highlights and low lights. They were both awesome. I will go back to Lee. Glad they fixed a bad experience.

Both my bookings were confirmed then cancelled at the last minute last minute by the location they were schedule. I had showed becuAse I didn’t see the cancellation till it was too late. I think it was believe it was because two high dollar color treatments ext were booked over becuase that’s who was there during my scedualed spot for me and my son other appointment. I also didn’t appreciate the tone of one of the stylist in her response. The one who had two color treatments in two chairs going.That said one stylist there helped squeeze us in so we both ultimately got cuts by the nice lady. I like pointing the finger at times so let’s blame it on the lady who probably cancelled our appointments due to a higher paying client with a bigger tip. Her attitude was awful and her chair side manner was meh.

I arrived 4:45 on Sunday when theyre open until 5pm. Was told theyre closed. Thats not what the sign says.

I showed them a picture of what I wanted and I did not get what I wanted. They messed up my whole entire haircut.

Took four of my kids in to get their haircuts and they did a great job! Fast and easy no problems!

As a customer, the service is ALWAYS terrific, which is hard to find. I take my daughter here, my mother and I have had a cut and color. The outcome is beautiful, EVERY TIME.As a former receptionist, I was able to see the other side of the spectrum. The stylists are ALL wonderful, we even had a new stylist transfer in on my last day, she seemed wonderful too!Go by and give these wonderful ladies a chance, Im sure you wont be disappointed. If you want a color its best to call during the week to schedule for the weekend, they fill up fast and the end result is outstanding!!! Cost Cutters staff, thank you ALL, I will be back to visit!

I have been coming to this location for years. I have driven in from Dripping Springs and now Central Austin. Heather is my go to stylist and I just let her do her thing. I trust her suggestions and always walk out feeling good. The shop is always clean and If there is shop drama you woukd never know. All the stlists are professional and friendly. My husband had haircut-phobia from years and years of terrible service. On a quick go to before a big Thanksgiving dinner i talked him into getting a trim. Thats how we met heather. Where she goes we will go. Everyone in there is so friendly and they make it very convenient to book an appointment and always stick by what they say. Heather is amazing she even does my eyebrows and hair now! Hands down best location.

This place is fine for a simple mens haircut but be careful women.My wife went to this place for a trim twice and neither time did they confirm with her what she wanted. My wife instructed that she wanted a medium length and the hairdresser ended up cutting off an extra two inches before my wife knew what was happening. She is also finding poorly cut strands that I am trimming for her.Im having a hard time recommending this place.

Ive been going to this location a couple of years ever since the lady who cut my hair (for over a decade) at another Cost Cutters retired. (The other one was close to my old job.) Theyre always quick & friendly, and Im always pleased with the result.

I took my special needs brother to get a haircut and a beard trim! the stylist was so patient with him! She took her time and was very gentle!

Slower than turtles. Cant rate haircut because I couldnt spend one more minute in this place after they let someone jump in front of me after waiting 30 minutes (45 if you count first time I walked in then hit HEB before return). Zero sense of urgency, slowly walking to phone, slowly walking back, slowly cleaning around chairs. If you need something to fill your day, this is the place for you.

I have been going to this establishment for over a year now. My hairdresser was Heather Dunn. Heather has always been really awesome with my hair. She has a great personality and is always a pleasant person to be around. This establishment has always been professional, clean and friendly. Great place for a haircut.

Update: 4/17/18: Im pleased to report my previously poor experience was really turned around last time I was here. Wait time was quick. The staff recognized we had an issue previously and were friendly and delighted to provide great service this visit. Ive been critical in the past here but am more than pleased to flip this to a 5 star visit and look forward many more in the future (5 star).Update 1/31/18: Random Wednesday morning and I made the mistake trying Cost Cutter Round Rock again. Ill give you 3 guess on what Im doing but youll only need 1. WAITING AND WAITING AND WAITING FOR A HAIRCUT. What is wrong with this store? They cant properly staff a store. HORRIBLE! I went to the girl with long black hair and specifically told her 3-4 times that I just wanted a TRIM and to relayer my hair. My hair was a little longer than the middle of my back, and even as I watched her, it didnt seem like she was doing anything extreme. I left with about 4-5 inches of my hair cut off! When I questioned her about it, she claimed that the length was still the same, when it clearly was not. I definitely regret not going to my usual salon.I NEVER GO TO A COST CUTTERS AND NOW I KNOW WHY.

I dont know why all the hate, with any business there are prone to mistakes, I have been going to this place for years and I have alway had the look I needed, whether it was to look good for my friends when I was young or that job interview they had the style for me. Personality quick and professional service and every product they sold me made my hair soft like a chinchilla. Ladies love my hair, I have recommended this place many times and no one has stopped coming. Its convenient location is right next to HEB so you can do all of your shopping get gas grab dinner do dry cleaning whatever you want. People who have reviewed this place terribly probably dont take into account the fact that they have to decipher what you are saying before giving you a cut so in my opinion people who dont know what they want will have a worse time. For the best experience give yourself some time to go in and browse, talk to them, wait for the person you think is right for you and then get a cut and come back next time. The staff is pleasant and they are inexpensive. Tuesdays is $12. Call ahead for same day appointment so you dont have to wait.

Called ahead for my son and I to get our hair cuts. Sat down and was waiting when one of the hair cutting girls had the nerve to call out both our names and someone elses saying its going to be 35 mins because shes clocking out now. Ever since Marlinda left that place has gone down hill.

Quick and great hair cut for cheaper price

Not the best place to get a haircut; however, it is very close to home and jump right in whenever i need a quick cut with no time in hands. Ive had good and bad experiences. Most of the time, if i see the Asian lady, i go to her. She is very talkative if youre willing to speak and very quiet to those who just want to go in, sit, and get a cut. I was very surprised that one day she asked me that i think a short cut would look more professional and clean as to what im used to. I was glad i went with her suggestion. She explained everything in detail as to what she was doing (not that i was interested but it just made me feel more confident as to what she was doing, even if she was bsing) . Ive also, have had really bad experiences where i go in and come out looking horrible. Sometimes lopsided with one side being too long or short. Etc. For guys, i would suggest the asian lady. For girls, im not sure if you are looking for something that would suit you based on budget but be aware, not everything cheap is great. Paying a few extra bucks can save you from looking classy to trashy.
