I moved to Texas in 2020 and didnt know anyone in the area. I saw Motorman down the road from me and decided to give them a chance when my A/C went out. The were professional, fairly priced and fast. Now they are the only place that my fiance and I take our vehicles to be serviced! Absolutely amazing!!!

Motorman is honest and reliable. He is a straight shooter and tells you what needs to be fixed not just what could be fixed. He cares about your safety. He is able to diagnose problems and make good quality repairs.

I dont review many goods/services. Something has to be truly outstanding to make me willfully and publicly review it. I usually dread interactions with mechanics, or even worse, the sales staff of a chain automotive repair shop that visibly foam at the mouth at my automotive ignorance. That said, I was taken aback at how honest and straight forward the entire process was, and I look forward to many years of repeat business at motorman.

I appreciate this garage. Great mechanic, repairs are done quickly and it has always been done right when he said it would be. There havent ever been any surprises when I pay the bill like I have had other places. This is the first place I call when we need work done.

Definitely a good honest man. I will always try to call him first to see if he’s available or if he can do a certain type of work on my car. Last time I asked for something he wasn’t able to do it due to equipment BUT he gave me the names of other shops. I highly recommend!

This guy John knows about cars and turns them around fast. Big place so always has room for more vehicles and is easy to find off Hwy I-35 on Sam Bass Road...look for the long bright yellow buildig with catchy murals of cars & trucks painted like open bays on front !!

John is friendly, honest, and doesnt try to upsell unnecessary repairs. Hes worked on a truck of mine twice now, and even though I am moving from the area I will drive his location when I need to get work done again. Highly recommend mechanic.

I moved to Austin about 8 months ago and was looking for a mechanic relying solely on online reviews and word to mouth. Following the great advice to bring my cars to John was the best decision. Great honest work, after calling several mechanics and getting outrageous quotes, I wised up and took my car into Motorman Garage. Fair, honest work!! Had one issue that he fixed in 1hr and didnt give me any run around and gave me an honest price! This type of service is hard to find. I highly recommend Motorman Garage.

Aside from the BS and apples to apples on the brake work I saved over $300 and my braking performance is excellent. Like new!!.

Its very hard to find an experienced, trustworthy, honest, no BS mechanic, but John is one of the very rare few who is. Everytime I get a car repaired at Motorman Garage, John calls after the repair to check on the car. I live close enough to Motorman Garage that he even drops me off and picks me up from my house. Very highly recommended.

I had to have my engine replaced on a 2004 Expedition. Most shops quoted me a cost of upwards of 5k and would take a week to do. Motorman did the job for 2k and had it done in 3 days. The truck runs great and I recommend the shop to all my friends. It just goes to show that fair and honest shops/mechanics do exist. Thanks guys!

I worked out of his building as a wrecker driver actually but the crazy old koot seems to be a real nice guy and i never saw him over charge or try to over sell anyobody.

My husband and I have been customers of Motorman since 2008, when my AC went out at the beginning of summer. I sweated through many hot days because several shops wanted to do drastic work to my AC system for a couple of thousand dollars, which I couldnt afford. John took a look and let me know that just a small part needed replacing and the bills was a fraction of the other places. Since then hes worked on both our vehicles (a 2000 and 2006 Mazda) and been fair and honest in all our dealings. If its not ust standard maintenance hell call you after hes inspected the issue, answer any questions and let you know his quote up front, before you spend any money. Hes a nice guy and we are thankful to have a mechanic we trust when the cars need work

I went here to get a tire and lug nut fixed he told me he could fix it for free. I still gave them $20 for theyre hard work. it took them at least 20mins to fix.

I had a wheel bearing go bad, and from diagnostic to the time I drove out was only an hour and a half (and that included getting the part delivered); on top of it, John let me bring in the car right at 6pm on a Monday and stayed to finish the job so Id have a safe vehicle to drive home in. It was a more-than-reasonable price for the service. Ill be bringing my car to him for any future repairs.
