I cant say enough good things about the service I received at Landmark Transmission. I own a classic vehicle that requires a highly skilled (and patient) mechanic to work on it and Im thrilled to say I found that at this shop. As if the expert level mechanic abilities werent enough, the attention to detail with cleaning and painting the transmission casing was icing on the cake. Well, Michelles top-notch customer service was awesome too! It was an all-around great experience.HIGHLY recommend this shop for your transmission and drivetrain service needs.

We had hired another company to repair the flex plate on my husbands work van, a Promaster 1500 while he was out of town on a job. The repair got him back to Atlanta, but things didnt seem right. We took the van to Landmark the first opportunity we got. They diagnosed and repaired the issue in a few hours and WITHOUT CHARGE! Apparently the last repair shop had not tightened everything down correctly. Awesome to work with and very honest. Will be back if the need arises. THANK YOU Michelle!

IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND TRUSTWORTHY MECHANICS BUT THIS PLACE IS TOP TIER. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE WITH A AUTO REPAIR SHOP IN MY LIFE. EVERYONE WAS NICE AND PROFESSIONAL THE MANAGER MICHELLE TREATED US AND GAVE US ADVISE AS IF WE WERE HER OWN FAMILY AND MOST OF ALL THEY WERE HONEST ! The transmission on our 2010 Toyota RAV4 with 182,000 on it was slipping very badly to the point that it was no longer safe to drive. We took it to Landmark and are very satisfied with the service they provided us. In addition to the transmission problem, they also alerted us to a significant CV joint problem on the front axles which they repaired at a reasonable cost. Prior to the CV joint repair, the front end was making quite a bit of noise. Now the car drives like it is new. Landmark did a good job communicating with us about everything during the repair. They really worked hard to do the extra things to make us a happy and satisfied customer. We feel they did a really good job for a fair price. Im sure you might be able to find someone to do it cheaper, but you would be hard pressed to find someone to do as good a job for what they charge. We highly recommend Landmark Transmission.

This morning my older Nissan Titan had transmission fluid all over the drive way, it would not go into gear, it had been acting up. My son was going to work. I called a couple of places and they suggested it might need a new transmission. My friend called and said try Landmark, one call, he had a tow truck here in one hour. Five hours later they called and said it was just a hose,. Towing, fluid, hose, full service with labor was less than $250. They were the most pleasant and honest people I have dealt with. The tow truck person said they replaced the transmission in his tow truck, he takes a a lot of cars there. Highly Recommend!

We brought my husbands car to Landmark on the recommendation of Roswell Auto. There appeared to be a transmission problem that Roswell Auto wasnt equipped to handle, but after a diagnostic test and a few other tests, the transmission turned out to be fine. Despite all the work they did and storing his car for two days, Landmark went above and beyond on the bill when we picked his car up this morning. I hope that Ill never need transmission work but if I do, Im glad to know Landmark Transmission is there.

My truck had some issues not shifting through gears at all, and I had to have it towed here. Luckily it was just a very minor fix, but I was completely dead in the water until they figured it out. Transmissions are one thing I dont really want to touch myself, and I am sure these guys could have found any number of reasons to run up charges, but they didnt do that at all. They fixed exactly what was needed, charged a very reasonable amount, and looked everything over while they had it up there. Great service overall, and if I ever have the bad luck to need more extensive transmission work I will certainly come here.

In all the time I have had to deal with auto service industry, this is the first time I have met people who are efficient, helpful and go the extra mile to make it easy for the customer.My car got referred to them because it was suspected to have an issue with its transmission. Right from the moment I talked to Michelle (manager), she made me feel like my problem was her problem. She went as far as to coordinate with the original shop to get the car to their place (to save me a trip!!!!). She called me without me having to follow up and gave me details on how they went the additional step to find out that my car was still under warranty and walked me through what i needed to do. She is AMAZING!I met the owner and they walked me through what they would do if they had to fix it. All this after they knew there was no business in it for them! I had a great experience with Landmark Transmission. I brought in my Buick to run a diagnostic screen on my transmission. The results indicated that I needed a new transmission. There rates for service were dramatically reduced from that of the dealership. The staff and management team, Michelle and Owner James, were very professional and sensitive to my needs a a customer. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had an positive experience as well as great service. I would definitely return for service and refer others there for service. Dont go. The manager( lady) is very rude and nasty. She will cut you off and hang up on you. She thinks she knows all which is very annoying. I cant work with someone like that. They need a NEW WELL MANERED customer service trained manager. If I could I wouldve gave a zero

I had originally been introduced to Landmark Transmission because my car broke down in Roswell. I live is West Cobb County. They had good reviews so I had my car towed to their location. They have worked hard to make sure that my cars transmission was done right. They also stand behind their warranty as well. I am glad they were there when I needed them, but I am hoping that I dont have to see them again for quite a while!!! :)

I have a Ford Taurus which means I need a new transmission every few years. I had it worked on previously at the dealership and a few years later it predictably failed. I tried this location since many other shops in the area were booked for weeks. When I first walked in I was offput by the 1970s office and bullet holes in the glass, but then I got great service, a clear explanation of what was needed and why without the usual condescending tone of other shops, with better pricing than I paid previously for similar work.The work did take a bit longer than originally planned and getting in and out of the location is a nightmare, a tight turn on a busy street with a failing transmission, but otherwise this is my go-to in the area for transmission work.6/25/20 update: They reached out to me after my review, even though it had been a while since the work was performed. I learned their office has been remodeled and Im impressed that they would look me up to chat about the review. Also confirming that the transmission they replaced is still running strong!

I was referred to Landmark Transmissions by the Manager at Mid-Town Goodyear in Marietta. After meeting with them, I left my vehicle with them so they could provide me with full repair analysis. Landmark inspected my vehicle at no cost and gave me a full report on what was malfunctioning with my transmission and prepared a detailed estimate for the repairs. Transmission repairs are not cheap but the estimate they provided me was fair and reasonable. Once the repairs were completed, I had some trouble a couple days later. My transmission was hesitating and I quickly returned my vehicle to them. After another inspection, it was determined that my cars computer was the culprit and was failing to communicate with the transmission. Landmark quickly called me and at their expense, replaced and programmed the new computer. It has been nearly two months since the repairs and my vehicle is running like new. Customer care was outstanding. In my case, Landmark put the customer first and did the right thing. This is a company you can trust. I would highly recommend using them.Thanks Landmark. Ray

Brought my slipping 2017 impala in for service. They diagnosed it for free, and I took the car home and got 4 competitive bids. Sadly it was a complete rebuild. While Landmark was not the cheapest, they were inline with the rest and lower than the highest. I met the owner and had a good chat about transmissions in general and my car specifically. He was obviously very knowledgeable and extremely professional. There was no hard sell. As a Mechanical engineer, I appreciated him taking the time out to go over the cause and how they were going to take care of the repair.The 24 month no hassle parts and labor warranty was impressive. I hope I never have to use it.They quoted me a range Low to High that varied by 400$ depending on what they had to replace. They came in at the low end of the scale which I really appreciated.They are packed with a pretty large facility which is a good sign. The shop was clean. Their hours are good. Everyone was friendly. I recommend them if the worst happens and your transmission lunches itself.

They where really fast friendly place to take my truck. Had to have the transmission completely rebuilt in my truck they told me they where a little backed up and was still able to get my truck in an out in 3 days they did an amazing job and called to talk to me about everything that had been done or needed to be done amd where great on price. They have definitely made a customer for life and will gladly come back for any and all future services that can or will need to be done thank you again for everyone and the staff. Takes great pride to know that the owner personality test drive all the cars coming and going in and out of his shop to meet his expectations. On a mother note I drove my truck from dahlonega to there shop 40miles to have them do the work and was well worth it.

Great service. Efficient and good at what they do. The biggest thing I liked about them was the fa t they are HONEST, this is hard to find especially in the automotive industry. The tech explained to me that the car was working fine when he drove and the code that was showing was now gone. I quote I would like to take your money but I dont know where to tell you to spend it you cant beat that kind of honesty and service. I will definitely go back and send others as well.

Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with any automotive shop. I spoke to and worked with both Michelle and Harry who provided amazing customer service. Everyone was very thorough with their explanations of what needed to be fixed and why. It will come as a shock to all, but my final bill was LESS than what Harry initially thought it might cost me! I had to rebuild my transmission and wasn’t sure where I could go to get great work and all for an affordable price. Landmark is now my go to shop for all things automotive and I’d advise you to do the same.

I need to brag on Landmark Transmission real quick. I had a sneaky suspicion that the issues I was having with my car were possibly related to the transmission. When the technician with AAA showed up at my apartment, he thought it was strictly the brakes. Obviously, because he was already at my apartment, I had to still have it towed to the designated location that I specified with AAA which was Landmark. When I arrived, I spoke to Michelle and let her know that it may just be the brakes after all to which she told me they don’t usually do brakes unless it’s a combination of both the brakes and transmission. In order to avoid me calling AAA to have my car towed to a second location, Michelle graciously offered to drive my car a mile down the road to Honest-1 free of charge out of complete generosity. She didn’t stop there. She then noticed I was having trouble turning my fiancé’s massive truck around within a tight area and came out and offered to help me maneuver it around. That’s when Michelle noticed that the brake light was on in my fiancé’s truck and proceeded to check on that without me even asking her to. Guys, this wasn’t even the vehicle I was there about and she still went above and beyond. I got a call from Michelle shortly after I left where she informed me that James, the owner, checked out my car and noticed a bolt was missing from one of my brakes making it very dangerous to drive and he also found that my transmission indeed was needing immediate attention. The level of customer service that Michelle and James offered me is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. They clearly proved that they weren’t after my money and were genuinely concerned about my safety by offering to drive my car themselves free of charge to somewhere that could work on my brakes right away. Because my car is also having transmission issues, I’m leaving it in their hands because they’ve proved to me with their kind gestures that I owe them my business. Highly, HIGHLY recommended if you’re in the Roswell area.

Landmark had saved me many years ago, when I lived in Roswell, so when we thought our sons Jeep transmission was leaking we took it to Landmark. We pressed them to diagnose the issue quickly b/c he had to get on the road to go back to school...they were very accommodating and found the issue was the result of lazy work by the oil change place.THANK YOU for getting us fixed and on our way!

Landmark is clearly a level above. I had used them previously for my 57 Chevy but this time it was a work vehicle for one of my installers. Michelle at the front desk is clearly a professional. She communicated with me throughout the process. She realized without me begging that time was of the essence. They completed the work quickly and the van is back on the road. This is why I believe in working within the community and giving business to the true small business owner. I do not enjoy buying transmissions but if the need comes up again I know where to go!

Roberts Landmark Transmission was recommended to me by another transmission specialist that doesnt handle German cars. The transmission in my 2003 Jetta was slipping intermittently, and the problem was exacerbated by another mechanic attempting to fix it rather than admitting that he didnt specialize in transmission work and referring me to someone that did. My experience was fantastic! Tim and Valerie are the nicest folks. Tim was very straightforward with me in addressing my repair options and the associated costs. I opted for a valve body job in lieu of a transmission rebuild, and they finished the job days faster than I expected. Their prices are very competitive and they stand behind their work. They were also wonderful about keeping me updated on their progress. Valerie even sent me a thank you note for my business after completing the job. Cannot recommend this shop enough!

Fantastic place for auto repair! I went to Landmark because I thought my car was leaking transmission fluid. Not only did they see to my car quickly but they told me I was in fact not leaking transmission fluid PLUS they fixed mistakes some other repair place made while changing my oil. They did this FOR FREE. As I was leaving they noticed one of my tail light was out. They waved me down told me to back up and then fix that for free as well. Great people, great service, would highly recommend.

This place is great! They fixed a specialize part on my 2007 AWD, XC90, that the dealer wanted $12,000 to fix (which is more than the car is worth). The cost here was 10% of what the dealer wanted and it runs fantastic. They’ve given me a whole other life with this car that I love. Honest, ethical, experienced. What more could you want?

You really just need to store the phone number and use them exclusively. You are not going to beat the service and price. They thoroughly fix your transmission, and never resort to dropping in an expensive remanufacture or new trans. This way you get the best price. People are super nice and the utmost professionals. I refer everyone to them, because they are the best. period.

I was referred to Landmark by my longtime mechanic Robert, from Auto-Serv. I was, to say the least, very apprehensive going to a transmission place as my last 4 experiences were disasters. I read the reviews and thought, This is too good to be true. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Michelle was efficient and knowledgeable. As another reviewer said, I did feel like family. Within 5 minutes of arriving, James was driving my car. After 20 minutes, James returned and said, Good news, its just a hole in your air intake. A $125.00 part and 1/2 hr of labor (no charge for the test drive) and I was happily on my way. They know what there doing and above all else, HONEST!!!!! Cant recommend them enough.

I brought my ‘76 F250 here after I took it to several other places trying to get my transmission to shift smoothly and easily. After many failed attempts at other places I landed on Landmark transmission. James was able to make my transmission shift like butter in under an hour, and explained all of the work he did to the truck afterwards. Very fair prices and great workmanship, I would highly reccomend James and landmark transmission to all of my family and friends

Fantastic customer service! My cars transmission was generating an error code and my regular mechanic recommended I take it to Landmark to have it looked at. Landmark took the time to thoroughly evaluate and diagnose the problem, and then told me I might be able to get a Nissan dealer to do the work under warranty, even though it was technically expired. Michelle went so far as to contact the dealer, describe the problem and lay the ground work for the dealer to seek an exception to the expired warranty problem. Bottom line, I ended up getting a costly repair done for free under warranty thanks to the assistance of the Landmark team. They definitely impressed me -- even though they didnt earn a dime from this they have won a new fan and earned all of the respect and props I can give them.

Awesome is an understatement!! I am not familiar with this area, but I do know that anytime you think of having transmission complications with your car, it can be very difficult and pricey. My car wouldnt shift into any gear on a late Friday night, and thankfully I was at home. I didnt know anyone in the area and was completed stranded. Sat morning I looked up places online and hit the jackpot on the first call, when I called Landmark. I couldt say enough nice things about the receptionist Michelle. She was quick to understand my position, the possibilities of my issue and helped me understand what I could be looking forward too. She was empathetic to my circumstances and immediately called United to have my car towed. I have to even say that the tow truck driver, Tyler was so very hospitable as well. He showed me where the issue was most likely coming from and offered his recommendation for Landmark as well. He says he wouldnt take his vehicles anywhere else. Not only were they kind and generous, but first thing Monday morning by 11:30 my car was fixed. I was so impressed with the service, hospitality and the price was more than fair. Mr. Jiles even took the time to talk with me about questions I had and was very easy to talk with with an interest in my behalf. I definitely consider myself a valued customer and highly recommend Landmark for car transmission repairs. Thank you Landmark!!!!!

I had taken my car to my usual repair shop to work on an issue I was having with my transmission. My usual repair shop told me they replaced two items to fix the problem I was having but my indicator light didnt stop going off. I gave my usual repair shop two tries to fix the problem and they didnt so I took it to Landmark Transmission to get a transmission expert to diagnose the issue. Landmark Transmission found that only one of the parts was replaced. Im coming here for any transmission repair work from now on these guys are the best.

These guys are incredibly nice and helpful. Definitely an above and beyond group. Check your voicemails because they do leave them. If they find something wrong, they will fix it, even if its not transmission related.

Not enough nice things can be said about Landmark Transmission. I took my 1999 Isuzu Trooper in the day after Christmas thinking I needed a new transmission. Within 48 hours, the shop called me back with great news!! My transmission was ok for now and I only needed a throttle position sensor. So instead of the repair costing me thousands of dollars, it only cost me less than $200. The entire crew, especially the shop manager Michelle was very professional and sympathetic to my problem. I highly recommend Landmark Transmission for all your cars needs.

The transmission pros at Landmark really know what they are doing and they are honest to a fault. A great combination when dealing with transmission issues, which can be very costly. You dont want a mechanic who will tell you to replace your transmission when it is not necessary. These folks are always going to shoot straight with you.

I was referred to Landmark Tranmission by another great service shop called Kelly and Stans. I worked with Michelle from Landmark Tranmission and she is an absolutely one of the nicest people you could meet. Landmark diagnosed the issue as transmission failure and prepared a quote. Michelle gave me the estimate for the work to be done and the quote was spot on. Landmark is definitely the place to go if you dont know who to go to trust with your vehicle. Transmission work isnt cheap, but you WILL get the quality work that you paid for if you use Landmark Tranmission. Landmark will be the only tranmission shop I will ever deal with. Landmark is a honest shop with superior work.

Val was an absolute pleasure to work with and I have recommended them to everyone. The Acura stealership wanted $4800 for an after market transmission, not a rebuilt one, and $5800 for a new Acura transmission, no thanks!

Very knowledgeable and friendly people!

I dont really like being spoken to like Im an idiot. The lady there would ask me questions and then not let me finish my sentence. She interrupted several times and made several rude comments.
