These are the most honest folks in the business! Anytime my dealership tries to tell me I need extra work done on my car, I bring it to Bruce to double check. I never walk away with unnecessary work or costs.

Bruce and his staff have performed a spectacular job on pricing and repairing our X5 BMW. We recently had a Serpentine Belt snap but we had no clue what else was the issue. Most repair shops would have taken that as an opportunity to ring up the service bill to reach above 2k in parts & labor. Bruce took that as an opportunity to keep a customer happy instead. He replaced the belt only and made sure no other parts was needed in his inspection and charged a great low price in doing so. Not all repair shops are out to get their customers and Bruce proved that he is one of the good ones. I highly recommend Bruce and his family owned business to all....

My Nissan blew a coolant hoses on 400. Had my car brought to a dealership closest to where I had to pull off in order to find out what all needed to be replaced. The Nissan dealership diagnosed my car and gave me a bill for almost $1000 to replace everything. Instead of paying I wanted to call around and get some more quotes. Called theses guys and was treated very rude. He stated im not giving you a quote over the phone. You can bring it in. I completely understand that. Infact, I have no problem with having it sent to them but the tone and how quick he was to cut me off from explaining what I had going on with my car could had been handled WAY more professionally.Make sure you guys explain in a more caring way to potential customers that you dont want to quote someone over the phone and the price could be inaccurate. Cutting me off and getting frustrated with me (which I understand now if people do that all the time) can get annoying. Im all about giving a smaller auto service provider my money than some big corporation.

Made an appointment for brake pad replacement. Bruce inspected them, drove my car and told me I didnt need to replace them yet. Filled my washer fluid and sent me on my way. Very impressed with his honesty and professionalism. Ive found a new mechanic!

As a guy who only went to “chain” auto repair places, finding Bruce was a breath of fresh air. To make a long story short, one day my Volvo decided to throw up a ton of codes and making a crazy noise from the engine bay. I took it to a chain place and they told me point blank they couldn’t and didn’t know how to fix my problem and told me I should really go to the dealer. Like a fool I did and got a quote of well over 4 grand. I got recommended Bruce at Import auto services and called him the next day. He was awesome from the first moment we talked. We chatted over the phone and told me to bring it by. Later that morning I did and he heard the noise, popped the hood, and INSTANTLY knew the issue. I showed him the invoice from the dealer and he had a good laugh. He brought me to the office, showed me the part, the price, the steps it takes to replace the part, and gave me an estimate of a fraction of the dealer. Oh yea and he had it done later that same day!! Please don’t hesitate to come here first.

Bruce and the team here are great, I had wiring issues on a 74 Celica and they were the only people willing and able to fix it. Back out and driving, couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys.

Called today to see if they could fit me in within a short time frame and they got me in right away. It was for a pre purchase inspection on a used car. About 15 minutes into the inspection they found a huge corrosion and rust problem underneath the car. All in all I was supposed to be charged and they did everything at no cost. Very happy with the service they provided and I will definitely be coming back.

I have been using These guys for over 10 years now and Bruce and his guys are the best. There have been several examples where he saved us money. One example is: my wife got new tires at a tire store and they were telling her she needed all new brakes and wanted to charge her $400. We brought it down to Bruce and he said our brakes are fine, that there was still plenty of meat on the brake pads. So we did not do the brakes and that was six months ago and the brakes still good! Bruce is a stand up guy and he will not charge you for things your can does not absolutely need. Pretty rare these days in the auto repair world!

These guys are top notch! Sent a car over to have a pre-purchase inspection. They took one look at it and called me back and said it had been wrecked previously AND didn’t charge me a dime! You don’t find that kind of honesty and integrity these days. Will certainly use again!

Been going to Bruce for about 15 years. He is the best. The first time I went to him it was because my AC was broken and another shop had already charged me over $1,000 and it was still not working. Bruce figured out in 5 minutes that the knob was broken. He felt so bad for me that he didnt even charge me for the part (which was incredibly cheap) or the labor. Not long after that he saved me when a cheap tire shop put my lug nuts on incorrectly and it was causing some vibrations. So now I only trust Bruce for everything.

This has been by far the worst mechanic and place of business I have ever been to. I walked into this shop asking for a simple oil change and nothing else. I ended up walking out with AP 150$ oil change. Bruce the mechanic and owner serviced my truck but as he changed the oil he also added on several new parts and things that needed to be changed. He put in a new air filter that obviously didnt need to be replaced and even pretended to have lost the old air filter when I asked to see it. After the air filter he added on 3 more items that need to be replaced but I knew were fine as I just bought this truck from a reputable dealer 3 months ago. Once I told him I didnt want any of this he offered to take my truck off the lift and take the new oil out but with a 60$ labor charge for the oil he already put in and then putting the old oil back in. Throughout this entire period of debating and frustration he was cussing at me in front other customers and even told my friend that he shouldnt be friends with someone like me. Overall this has been an awful experience and was terribly wrong of him to pin a college student in this position. I would suggest to any and everyone to stear clear of IMPORT AUTO SERVICES.

Bruce and the other guys are amazing. Super helpful and politeEdit: After a few weeks (and 2 return trips) I talked to my mechanic friend and we figured out they were screwing me over. A simple $20 sway bar bushing was all I needed. Instead, Bruce sold me:-Sub-frame tightening (he said the knocking was cuz it was loose. This made zero sense to several other mechanics) for $80-Told me that the new suspension I installed (OEM fitment from RockAuto) didnt fit and long story short he cut and braised (not welded) my sway bar links 1 shorter WITHOUT ASKING ME FIRST for $260Not only did neither fix the problem, my mechanic buddy figured out the actual problem in literally 4 minutes: he put my car on his lift and shook the sway bar, which moved a lot. Considering a Google search said that my problem was probably the sway bar, and that I asked Bruce the 2nd time I took my car to him (which he said wasnt the problem), I think he was screwing me out of my money. Not only did I have to buy new sway bar links to replace the ones he hacked up (once again-without asking me. They looked sketchy as f--- when I got my car back), I was able to replace the bushings myself (aka not a mechanic) for $40 and less than an hour. So, to recap: Bruce made up solutions to a car problem twice and one of his fixes (which I didnt tell him he could do) cost me more money to fix again. When I confronted him, he got angry but immediately asked if I wanted my money back, which makes me assume he has done this and gotten caught before.Bonus: 2 former coworkers of mine also went to him before:-first person: the tech broke the air box on his old VW and then hid the problem. Bruce denied it, guy had to buy a new one.-second person. Went to him for advice (tech at my old job said he had a more advanced scanner for her problems). She ended up going back to him 3 times (each time with a likely fake solution) and spent $1100 before the problem was fixed.Screw this guy, hes the stereotypical shady car repairman
