They get the job done and quick, but far too expensive for me. I needed my alternator replaced and an oil change. Came up to nearly $800! They cited the alternator as being a $400 part (it is a $200 part) and when I asked how they said they charge more cause they need to make a profit. I guess they dont make a enough profit from charging another $300 for the 2 hours of work it took for them to replace it.Ive always felt like they charged way too much, but knowing how much the part cost and how easy it is to replace this time, really shed light on how much money I was losing here. I could have ordered the part myself and paid my cousin $100 for an hour of work and saved FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. Getting it done quick and by professionals isnt worth that much money. I wont be getting my car fixed here again. Every other place Ive had my car worked on has had much more reasonable prices. I would recommend checking other places and inquiring prices before coming here and save yourself potentially hundreds of dollars.Two stars for how fast they are always able to get the job done and being reliable.EDIT: Ive added a photo of my receipt just so you can see and judge for yourself on the cost. 450 for parts 250 for labor. If you think a oil change and replacing a 200$ alternator is worth $700+ tax then this place will definitely get that done for you.

These guys were great. Even though they were very busy, they worked me in to do a quick fix on my transmission linkage and get me going again. Very professional and accommodating to a customer in a tight fix! Would highly recommend!

Kar Shop performed an alignment after a previous shop claimed they couldnt get the jamb nut freed up between the inner and outer tie rods. They wanted to replace both tie rods at a cost over $500. I decided it was worth a second opinion, and contacted the Kar Shop and explained my situation. They were able to align the car with no problem. I also noted that most of the initial alignment measures between the two shops did not match up. Highly recommend these folks.

Straightforward and honest service. My wifes car had no A/C in the middle of summer, and they found the earliest slot to fit me in, and got to work. The nature of A/C repair is inherently expensive, but I felt their pricing was fair for the work they had to do based on past experiences and the national average costs. They were very communicative, and went above and beyond with their inspection. To top it off, their work was warrantied which is something to look for in the world of automotive repair. Theyve earned themselves a repeat customer for sure, highly recommended.

I was greeted shortly after I walked in and the friendly staff was more than willing to accommodate for some maintenance work on such short notice.They knew exactly what needed to be done, and they dont mess around. Excellent service from a very professional shop. I like to work on my own vehicles, but sometimes can get in over my head with diagnosing issues with my 91 F-250. They were great with getting my issue figured out quickly and their recommended solution was exactly what was wrong. Also, the price they charged for diagnosis was very reasonable and so was the price quoted to actually make the repair. They also looked over the vehicle and gave a few other things that needed attention which I was very appreciative of! I will be bringing future business here and recommending them to anyone who asks!

Summary: Friendly Shop, Integrity Lost.Yes, your team did an extensive diagnostic on my Tacoma, and then provided me with a 4K+ Estimate on all repairs. After a second opinion, I found myself with paying under 100 parts, the CEL cleared because it was just the gas cap, the rack and pinion wasnt the issue but bushings, and The Brake sensor was just the sensor. Im confused as to why Im being attempted to be sold parts and certain repairs that arent needed. Thank you for your time.

After McLarty Daniels in Bentonville suggested that I replace the ball joints in my truck (warning me that I needed to get it done ASAP as it would be dangerous for me to continue to drive with them in their current condition), I called the Kar shop to see if they could give me a second estimate on how much it would cost me to replace the joints/how much they would charge for the same service as McClarty (which stated they would charge me $1250.00 to complete the job). To my surprise, the Kar Shop stated that there was little to any wear on the ball joints.I am so grateful for their service and saving me 1250.00. They could have easily lied to me and told me that they needed to be done but instead were honest and didnt try to take advantage of me. I will be using them from now on and would definitely not recommend going to McClarty Daniel for any services.

I hit a rock in the road. Blew my tire and bent the rim. After replacing tire and getting new rim, my steering wheel vibrated. Kar Shop figured out the place that put my tires on didn’t get them balanced right. My car drives better than it did BEFORE I hit the rock. Thank you so very much.

I highly recommend the Kar Shop. They take care of their customers!I’ve used Kar Shop since 2013 to maintain my 2003 SS Silverado. They have reasonable rates and a well-trained and courteous staff.My latest visit included locating an electrical drain which caused the battery to go dead after a few days. They located a malfunctioning switch and replaced it. The problem was not fixed and the battery was dead again in a few days. I took the truck to Kar Shop. They kept the truck for a couple of days to monitor discharge rates on the battery and discovered another switch issue that was repaired. The truck battery didn’t go dead for 7 days. Took the truck back and they found that a board had to be rebuilt. The board was replaced and I noted a few days later that not all the dash instruments were not being lighted during night driving. Once again, truck back to Kar Shop. I’ve got to wonder if they weren’t tired of seeing me.I knew that finding an electrical issue with 2003 vehicle could be hard to locate. I had to return the truck 4 times to get the electrical issue resolved. I paid for two switches and the rebuild of the board. The charges were very reasonable. When I reported the instrument lighting issue a few days after paying of the board rebuild, they didn’t charge me for fixing the instrument lighting.Every time I returned the truck, they were very courteous were apologetic that I was still having electrical issues. I admire them for standing behind their work and not charging a diagnostic fee for each time I returned the truck to them.

Weve had our 3 cars serviced here for 12 years. They are honest and do great work.

Would not recommend or attemp to return here. I was needing a repair that every shop in the area would do for $400 to $500 and this place was asking $1500. Not to mention that they will stick you with $75 inspection fee for checking your tires.

Freezing temperature and rain is the worst time for the air pressure light to come on. I stopped here and they were so helpful and friendly! I’ll definitely refer others because I’m definitely coming back if I need anything else.

I initially made my appointment with The Kar Shop for a leaky water pump on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. I spoke to Charles and Kevin and they told me that a pressure test would be conducted on the cooling system. While performing that test their technician also performed a thorough inspection of my Jeep and found a few other things that could be detrimental in the drivability of the Jeep. I have only had the Jeep for three months, but I purchased it for the long haul and I’m thankful that I took it to The Kar Shop and that they performed a detailed inspection of it. There were rear brake issues that had to be addressed and the steering box had to be replaced. The repairs were completed on time and I couldn’t be happier with the work performed and with the staff that kept me informed of what needed to be completed. Because of their thoroughness I feel very comfortable in driving my new to me 1997 Jeep Wrangler. Thank you.

I have used Kar Shop several times and impressed with their service. The last time I took my vehicle in I was quoted at $1600, and when I got my car back the bill said $950. I agreed to paying the $1600 so they could of charged me but they saw that the labor was cheaper so they changed it.

So i went in and asked how much would it cost for them to replace my underdrove pulley and they reply like they had no idea what that was. After explaining it to them i just went ahead and told them ill just go somewhere else and the old guy said yea try to explain it to them like you did here. Long story short i went to Christian Brothers and they knew what to do. So dont go there. Go to a real shop.

Good honest people! 3 years ago I found them after I took my newly purchased car somewhere else in town for a routine oil change. They told me I needed a coolant flush. I said really? On a newer car I just bought from the Toyota dealership? Next time took it to the KAR shop and asked if it needed the flush, they said no. Sooo, they are the only ones Ive been to since.
