Pay structure is great, however the production rate for new hires is too high. It wouldnt be as bad if they offered more training on the floor. They offer only 3 days training on the floor and then throw you into the deep end to work on your own the following week. Ive worked easier jobs than this Big 5 warehouse and they still offered more on floor training. The attendance policies are a bit extreme and they dont offer an employee online hub to check your available sick/vacation hours or how many points youve attained. The order pulling supervisors were the most unprofessional group of supervisors Ive experienced at a job before. Everyone thinks that Amazon is a terrible place to work when it comes to warehouse, but it isnt the Big 5 warehouse thats for certain.

Worst place to work. They have had that Now Hiring sign up for months. I have decided to investigate and got hired miraculously. They have their productivity/rate way too high for new hires to accomplish. They will place you in an area as set-up for failure. There is no interaction amongst coworkers except during breaks. There is heavy red-tape in order to get your spouse included to your health coverage (although pet insurance is easy and can be included). Restroom break is counted against you. Mandatory overtime is announced till after lunchtime not early in advance. I was investigating for 2 months to see so much people quit in short time although the pay structure is great. Opportunity for advancement does not exist. Aside, I have also worked at Amazon for another investigative duty. The Big5 Distribution is worst than Amazon in comparison.

This is the worst place I have ever been to make delivery truckers if you ever get a load to any big 5 warehouse be prepared to expend 6 to 9 hours in that place no question ask and if you run out of hour they dont care they kick you out. I will never get a load to that place for sure. 🤮👎👎

I just got a call for a job to work here and they just asked me (a Software Engineer) and also Algorithm Specialist to bring my 15 year old GED or High School Diploma and to take a (MATH) test for me to start the job or process. Honestly with these type of hiring strategies is that Big 5 Distribution will always going to keep that HIRING NOW sign on your building for years. It shows employees dont last long or its to strict to work there or you gotta be a software engineer or a programmer to work as a forklift or simple picker job, that means lack of technology. Good Luck, and Honestly I was insulted more then I thought I was being hired for an opportunity to work with Big 5. I gotta Vlog about this. Math test, wow, who are you hiring, teenagers or kids? Horrible
