This review is way overdue - I have been taking my car to Cruz Auto for a few years, and I highly recommend them! I was impressed from the first time I went there - they seemed honest, knowledgeable, & I appreciated receiving the diagnostic printout of what was going on with my car. I seriously hate being without my car, so I only bring it in when I absolutely have to - my check engine light had been on for like 3 months this time, I finally brought it in to Cruz on a Tuesday, they diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and I was driving my car home Thursday afternoon. It runs great! I think thats pretty excellent.

They keep me updated on the vehicles progress and send me pics of all the vehicles problems and send me fast estimates very professional shop a bit pricey but guaranteed work

Brought my 2001 Dodge Ram tonka truck in a few years ago for block rebuild. Went great, been hauling and towing like a charm. Just had a water pump go out and they were able to replace along with transmission seal/gaskets and replace wheel bearings all together. There communicating is great with new inspection process as you can see and understand all needed work first hand with app. Running smooth as can be. Went in to pay for a COMPLETE DIAGNOSTIC. The employee says its $135 for a full diagnostic. I paid and they said we have to check something extra and it would be an extra charge. This is one of those FINESSE shops where they press you and put you in a situation where you’re paying extra for little to nothing. I went ahead and said no on the extra inspection and got my car fixed at a different shop, 4 miles away and the diagnostic was actually a FULL DIAGNOSTIC.

Professional crew here. Nice communication and was open on Presidents day. I brought a Cadillac to them with a stabilitrak issue code, and they were wise enough to realize the real issue was the engine and they did so pretty quickly. Happy it broke down nearby.

Hi was so happy I had my car fixed at this shop. I had a major repair job done on my air conditioner. It now works so well. Augustin, the owner really cares about pleasing the customer, and amazingly follows up voluntarily with phone calls to check in to see if everything is going well with the repairs. I have never seen this in any place I have had my car repaired. He is very professional, honest. I felt very comfortable and confident that everything was going to be done right. They take great pride in their business and aim to please the customer. I am so happy I found this place

I came across Cruz Auto on Yelp and decided to request an appt time for the next morning. They were able to fit me in and I brought my car first thing when they opened. I needed a leak diagnosed, and what’s really cool about Cruz Auto is that they send you a link with pics and info on each thing they checked. First time I’ve seen that and it just gives that extra peace of mind. They are definitely with the times. They were able to diagnose a couple problems and fix the major ones. I have found my mechanic. I will definitely be back to fix the other problems. They are very polite and professional and it’s a great setting overall

Great first time experience at this shop. Took my car in for a 70k maintenance. Agustin kept me in the loop of my cars status with texts and calls. Very friendly. His follow up after the repairs were made is something other shops have never done. Would recommend and will return for future auto maintenance.

I dont trust any mechanics but when my car was turning off on me with a check engine light after I did an oil change at a shop in San Francisco, I did not want to cross the bridge anymore with having this issue. My friend recommended me this shop and its so close to where I live at. I called and the next morning, I went to get a diagnostic. They found out what was wrong with my car, repaired it, and worked with my insurance. Everything went smooth that I went again to get the other parts that needed to be repaired. They are very professional, knowledgeable, nice and helpful. Agustin and Diego are the best! I can say now that I found a mechanic for lifetime :)

Agustin is very nice and super professional. He was patient with me and answered all of my questions and addressed all my concerns. He is very transparent and made me feel at ease. I love that he gave me an electronic copy of the initial inspection that he did on my car so that I can be aware of everything that may need to be fixed. So far I’ve gotten my spark plugs replaced along with my brakes and side view mirror. My car is doing great and I’m gladly making Cruz Auto Repair my go to mechanic from now on. :) :)

I was coming from out of state to buy a vehicle in the area, I needed a mechanic to look over the vehicle. I called Cruz last minute, they were able to go pick up the truck and did a thorough inspection. Documenting with photos and written description issues the truck had that the seller wasnt honest about.They saved me a lot of time and money. And were very easy to work with.

Agustin & the team are amazing! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, & are in no way trying to gouge you for your money. I had a fuel leak on my 97 SL320 & I took it in to have these guys look at it. Agustin began examining my car right away and within a few hours I had a complete digital report of the condition of my car, fully equipped with photos & recommended repairs. All free of charge!Instead of making claims that I needed a new fuel pump or fuel tank (as some mechanics did) Agustin let me know that the issue was simply a small pressure hose that degrades over time. Quick & easy fix and the prices were very reasonable. You truly get the sense that Agustin is simply trying to service your car & is in no way trying to milk you for $$. This approach is how you get clients for life. Most mechanics seem to not understand that. I’d recommend anyone to check out Cruz Auto Repair!

My 2009 Corolla is 12 years old. After they did an extremely thorough job of inspecting my car from tip to tip, it ended up needing quite a bit of work done on it (various parts of the engine and back brakes - due to its older age). Both Augustin and Victor kindly took the time to walk me through everything the car needed for repairs. Yes, with everything that needed to be fixed, it ended up costing more than I expected. But to make my older car run like new again cost much less then a downpayment for a new car. My car runs just like new again. Plus a few days after I picked up my car, Augustin contacted me to see how my car is doing. I really appreciated that. ... These guys are great and courteous! I recommend their thorough service.

These guys really seem to have a lot of integrity and care about the results of their work (and hence their customers). Great communication and customer service.The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because my steering wheel wobble is still present and I’m still not sure of my truck is sitting level (2/3 of my presenting complaints). But they did machine my break rotors and braking is smooth as new now!I recommend these guys for most common needs!

Cruz fit me in as the starter died and she had to be towed in. They jumped on it and even ordered the parts before confirming it was indeed the starter. They even worked me into their lunch order! Couldnt be happier!

The guys are amazing. I was buying a beautiful used car and they were already closing. They waited for us and made a super thorough inspection in an hour or so. The report was very solid, focused, with pics and recommendations. They commented on every point and gave me enough assurance and clarity to buy the car.

Pros: Great serious mechanics working here. Other shops sending customers here if they can’t do the repair. Agustin and his Mechanics diagnosing and doing the repairs properly and go above and beyond to keep you happy. Great mechanics with free coffee, fruits and water bottles. I am sending all my friends, kids, wife and my mother here for vehicle repairs.Cons: Their Bathroom is on Mars, come empty. :) . Kidding, is next door and is clean.

I am so delighted to find an auto repair facility thats honest and flexible. Cruz Auto cut my last estimate in half when further inspection found the problem to be less severe. Great turn around time for a last minute appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.My only critique, help the receptionist with the calls regarding diagnosis. She did the best she could, but wasnt able to answer technical questions.Overall, great shop. And we will be back.

A truly honest, reliable professional. I went in for a transmission overhaul and payed for this major project upfront, IN CASH. To my surprise I get a call back that they were able to find the real issue and refunded me over $2,000!! Any other unethical mechanic would have easily kept the cash and do the unnecessary work. Hes a good and honest mechanic; a rare find indeed!

Good work at reasonable cost. I was given an option on OEM brakes and Aftermarket Brakes. I went with OEM “AC DELCO/GM” 2 years later I need another brake job. My mechanic shows me the old pads and points out they’re “best brake select” an orileys brand. Makes me think the rotors were oriley brand as well. I’ve had other repairs done here and had no issues. Knowledgeable guy? Yes.. Honest? Idk

Allow me to start by saying that we chose this shop because my wife is the Extended Care Director and a part-time substitute teacher at the school the owner (Cruz) has his son in.The owner and I spoke during and after the process, and it seemed like it was important to him to do a good job. They back their work with a full 180 day warranty - good in all 50 states! Thats hard to beat!Thanks Mr. Cruz!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. UNRELIABLE. FRAUDS.Drove 2 hours to go to their auto parts shop in Oakland sold us a turbo for a truck in October and it went bad 3 months later and we took it back since it had a one year warranty and they refused to take it back and even went as far as saying that the turbo was not theirs. They refuse to take things back and we met another customer there who had his invoice and a part he was trying to return and they also did NOT let him exchange his part. HORRIBLE & RUDE customer service we called the owner who they said was named “Isaac” and he was so rude over the phone said it “wasn’t his responsibility”. We also reported them to the automotive bureau. Complete fraud. Spent over $3,000 for a part and they do not honor warranty and deny that they even sold you the part. And they keep NO record of you purchasing the part. So DO NOT give them any business go somewhere else. This place is an honest fraud.

Had a leaking radiator. Left the car at there shop in the morning and they installed a new radiator by the evening. No more leaks. Good job.

Do not go here they are way over priced they charged me $143 just to diagnose the yellow worn brake light said that the sensor is touching the rotor they did not fix anything I refused the work to be done for I found a place cheaper to do it and when I refused the guy on the phone started getting a little pushy wouldnt take no for answer at first and when I got my car back now my brakes are even worse then before plus they put the wrong type of brake plaid in my car you think for $143 they should have at least put my car back the exact way I left it there with my brakes working bottom line over priced and complete rip-off!!!
