I came here to install an aftermkt trans cooler and was told that actually was not necessary for my vehicle. Thats what I call trust worthy service who would not take customer for a run. Did a great job on my 2019 F250. Fuel Vapor wheels wrapped in Nitto Grappler 285/75R18s and a ReadyLIFT leveling kit. Very smooth ride and tracks perfectly straight. Just moved here from Colorado. I had what I thought was a transfer case problem. Two shops in Colorado had tried to correct problem by adjusting a Novak kit I had installed to replace old OEM parts. I thought I needed a transfer case. 4 Wheel Drive Specialty correctly diagnosed problem as the Novak kit being installed incorrectly. Very professional and kept me informed as to what was going on with my TJ. I needed a 4X4 shop to maintain my wifes beloved TJ and now I have one. These guys are awesome!

I took my old F150 in for a laundry list of things to repair. They had it repaired and like a whole new truck in less time than I thought it would take. They gave me suggestions and were very thorough. Great place and affordable. I would definitely return when needed- Thanks guys!!

I came here for help on getting my tires rotated when my vehicle was feeling funny. I came in and Vince immediately was extremely helpful, helping me find wheel locks for my tires and getting me taken care of quickly. Their service is very friendly and very efficient and I will absolutely be back to see them!

Took my 2013 Rubicon in about 4 years ago. They installed a lift, new wheels, tires, and front end alignment. Since then they have addressed (and corrected) electrical, engine, and transmission issues. Always fair, honest and upfront. I personally, will not let any other shop in the Richmond area work on my Jeep!

So my ‘16 Wrangler was all over the road and felt flighty loaty at highway speeds. So I was told on a Jeep forum “Go to a 4x4 shop the deal with Jeep Wranglers regularly and that do wheel alignments”, so I did. I took it to Four Wheel Drive Specialty and they were able to get me in fast. Checked out all my steering parts, everything looked fine they called to informed me everything is torqued right and nothing stood out that may be causing this issue and said we can check the wheel alignment. After checking the wheel alignment measurements they noticed it was off and called me to explain the issue and the solution. I needed lower front adjustable control arms....... WoW!!!! The controls arms made my Jeep drive soooooo much better, handle better, brake better and I feel it even added a little more torque. I’m really blown away about the the difference it made!! The team at Four Wheel Drive Specialty kept me informed the whole way, very knowledgeable about Wranglers and just very down to earth guys with great customer service. I would recommend them to anybody with a Jeep Wrangler and the hundreds of problems that comes with owning a Wrangler.

I have been a customer of 4WDS for years. I have always trusted them with quality repair services and to never oversell me on unneeded repairs. They also have always been honest about needed repairs that just arent essential at the moment.

I was having some significant issues with my modified 2014 Wrangler Unlimited. I called and Vince took the time on the phone to really understand the problem. Two days later I dropped off the Jeep. FOUR hours after that, Charlie had all my issues corrected and now it rides perfect. Friendly folks and incredible service! Thank YOU!!! No question where Im taking my Jeep next time it needs work. I came into the store at a loss for words. I had a lift installed on my 2016 JK and was so excited only to drive it and figure out that the Jeep was super dangerous. I experienced what I later called a death wobble. The Jeep was out of control in all aspects of the drive. I checked several places only to be told I needed to take the entire lift off and replace it with a much more expensive one. I finally walked into this shop and was met with guys that right off the bat seemed to want to help. They looked over the Jeep and told me what they knew would fix my problem. They installed the parts that they suggested and to my amazement the Jeep rides like new, even better than when I first purchased it. I would now trust these guys with all of my 4x4 needs. Honesty and tons of integrity is what I found. I give them 5 out of 5 stars. They never tried to sell me a new lift but only suggested additional parts that would shore up the lift that I had.

Unfortunately the poor management shadows the hard work put in by the shop mechanics. You will be welcomed into the office with excuses. Do not support a business that likely makes their staff feel terrible. He publicly announced that he cannot get administrative help to stay...

Do NOT bring your vehicle. They charged me $600 for something I did not want done. Brought my Jeep in to diagnose a noise coming from the rear on deceleration. They diagnosed as a problem with the brakes and recommended replacing brake components. I picked up the car after almost a week with them, the noise is exactly the same as before I dropped it off, brakes operate exactly the same and there was a NEW check engine light on the dash when I started it up. Awful communication, I had to keep calling for updates after being promised calls.

Its such a relief to find some guys that are extremely good at what they do, care about what they do and communicate thoroughly about what theyre doing. I cant recommend these guys enough. They are fair priced and efficient. Thank you Bobby and crew!

Awesome customer service. Great price. They really helped me out of a jam by squeezing my truck in for four new tires mounted and balanced. Other shops couldnt do it due to the tire being so large. I will be coming here again. :)

Came in with the Jeep Death Wobble expecting to have to get an entire new steering set-up, ball joints, etc. Mechanic found the problem to be a loose track bar bracket and welded it on the spot for a half hours work. Jeep drove completely different! (in a good way!) Other shops were quoting me over 400 for things what would not have even fixed the problem. Great shop, great people, and they know what they are doing.

I took my to Jeep over to Vince at 4 Wheel Drive Specialty on Broad Street hooked me up with a great price and great service--the price of the tires was better than Walmart--and this shop really knows Jeeps. Their Jeep tech even figured out why my 4WD was not engaging, took a couple of things apart and replaced a seal (they had it in stock!), replaced some missing bolts, and I got a good price on everything. Very pleased to have my CJ back with great new tires and fully functional 4WD--thanks, Vince! 5 stars.

I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler and have been dealing with death wobble for the past 2 years and was told by my previous mechanic that it was an unfixable problem and he could only do minor adjustments for a temporary fix, I believed this until I found 4 wheel drive specialty co. I brought my jeep in and Vince and his team were able to diagnose and fix it in just a couple days. They were responsive, personable and with me every step of the way. My jeep drives like new, 10/10 recommend.

Excellent, quick service. Very knowledgeable and willing to work with the customer, and they answer any questions the customer might have. If I cant do it myself, I will bring it here. Highly recommend for any kind of suspension work or just normal service on a 4x4 truck or SUV.

I brought my 95 Jeep YJ in to these folks for a leaking pinion seal. To make a long story short, they determined where each leak was coming from and replaced each seal in a relatively timely manner. Although it took longer than I expected (due to to the car needing more work than I originally anticipated, no fault of theirs) I feel confident that it was done correctly. The gentleman I spoke to, Vince, was courteous and helpful. He even found that I had an open recall on the Jeep and printed off the relevant information for me. I had an overall positive experience and plan on returning next time I need work on the YJ.

Tremendous work done and great customer service by Vince. Got my Wranglers front axle serviced for death wobble and they eliminated it. Got wheels and tires done as well and I have been really impressed. Would reccomend to any 4WD enthusiasts.
