If you need repairs on your vehicle, this is the place to use! We were on our way from Michigan to Florida on Dec. 23rd when we had a ball joint fail late at night and the right front tire almost came off. I selected a repair shop based on reviews and we had our truck towed to Auto Service Solutions the next morning before the shop opened. I called the shop and spoke to Bernie about 20 minutes after they opened and he said they put their other work on hold, already ordered my parts (he saw from the registration we were from Michigan), and would have it repaired by noon. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed by this good news -- we anticipated leaving it there for a week, renting a vehicle to continue to Florida, and spending thousands of dollars (between repairs and rentals) to get back on the road. True to his word, he had the truck ready by noon, picked me up from the hotel we stayed in, and transported me to the shop to take care of the bill. The bill was less than half of what I anticipated -- he did not charge extra for emergency or holiday time (it was Christmas Eve). He also offered his time and advice if ever I needed help in the future regarding appropriate labor estimates. We appreciate the help, the integrity, and the excellent service. After reading many great reviews about this particular auto shop, I decided to have my car towed through this shop to be diagnosed as it had stopped starting for me after replacing the battery, alternator, and ignition. After calling them to verify it would be ok to have my car towed there, I assumed after they received it and diagnosed what was wrong that I would get a phone call to determine what options would be available. After having my car for a few days and hearing nothing in return, I called and spoke to someone who informed me that they hadn’t had a chance to look at it as they just finished a transmission and then someone who worked there had a medical emergency. I understood so I said that’s understandable and asked for a call whenever they did get a chance to look at my vehicle to which the man stated he would. After a week, my fiancé called the shop to see if he could find out what the status of the diagnosis is as we were spending lots of money on taxis, rental cars, and other ways of travel. They asked my fiancé what he thought was wrong to which he answered he didn’t know and then proceeded to explain for the third time since my car arrived there what it was doing and what we had done with the car in an attempt to fix it. After another week I received a call from a tow company explaining to me that this business had my car towed bc they tried to reach me and couldn’t which is false. I checked my phone religiously everyday and would call each Tuesday since my car had been there. I never even received a call about them figuring out what was wrong with my car and then five days later I get a call from a tow company who is trying to charge me for two tows and for two days of storage fees to have my car brought back to me since this business had my vehicle towed without even looking at it, diagnosing it, fixing it, or even discussing the above with me prior to just having it towed. I have heard from many people that this is a good shop and Bernie the owner usually takes care of you but I guess that isn’t the case if you are a new customer bc I never even spoke to a Bernie that I am aware of. I don’t understand why after having my car for several weeks why I never got an update or a diagnostic or any option plans to fix whatever may have been wrong. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you personally know the people that work there bc if you go here and you don’t know anyone, you get no service, communication, or anything accomplished. You just end up having a broke car longer, spend more money in travels bc your car still isn’t fixed and then I guess at the end of the day they just leave it setting until you bother them by calling each week to see what’s going on and then they are ready to have it towed without even letting you know that’s going on. It’s crazy!! I have never had such problems at an automotive place in my entire life. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise they had my car towed, I’m wondering if they had fixed it, if it would’ve broken down on me again shortly after leaving. Just take your vehicle to a dealer, yes they are more expensive, but they would never get away doing something like what they have done to me to anyone. I called these guys and set an appointment the next day. They were super friendly when I got there and explained to me what they were going to do. They fixed my power steering boot quickly and charged me an affordable rate.

Bernie is awesome! Not only did he take videos to explain the issue with my car he kept the bad parts to show me what i was dealing with and educate me on the issue. He also had the lowest quote in this area. He will have my business in the future.

If you need an HONEST REPAIR Shop that will perform auto work at reasonable and fair prices, then look no further. They checked out my sons car and provided a $50 fix to a problem that we thought was going to cost us $350. I highly recommend them for anyone, but especially if you have students with cars at EKU. These guys are straight some of the best people you can deal with. I have brought 3 different cars to them all with different problems and always had the same top notch experience. Very impressed with them! Took my car there to get my brakes fixed and was really happy with the people and the way things turned out. Took the time to show me each brake line and why it needed to be replaced and cut me a deal when I went to pay. Really appreciated them helping me out like they did! Will recommend to all my friends and will continue my business here as long as I live in Richmond!

Had Bernie inspect a couple of used trucks I was looking at buying. Very happy with the info he was able to give me from possible future problems I might have to talking points to take back to the negotiating table. Instead of giving me some paper report he actually took the time to walk me through the entire process and showed me every detail of the trucks. The prices were also very reasonable. I havent used him for any repairs but I probably will the next time I need any.

He is honest and even if that means telling you that he will not repair your vehicle. He doesnt come off as warm and fuzzy. But when you give him your vehicle you will drive away safely until your next visit.

Its not a very good place to do business.I stopped by there one day to ask about doing some repairs and the owner was kinda rude and acted like he didnt need any more business.

This shop has always taken care of me. They will take the time to explain what is wrong in a way that I can understand, since I dont know the first thing about cars. They get to the point of what is wrong, and have never tried to scam me. They also are the most reasonably priced shop in the area and are very quick. As long as I live here, I will not go anywhere else.

My experience with these guys has always been straightforward and honest. Some time back, I had a terrible experience with Greens Toyota in Lexington where they tried to pass off that I needed a new engine because it was overheating (tried to charge me over $4K!). I took it to these guys for a second opinion and they spent a day looking over my vehicle where they found that all I needed was a new water pump. They sent me pictures and described in detail what the problem was and kept me updated with what they intended to do to fix it. They also test drove it before handing it back to me, so as to make sure it was fixed. The whole experience (labor, parts, etc.) cost me less than $1K. Its inching around a year now since then and Im still driving the same vehicle. Outstanding service.
