Better than most older apartment complexes. Looks good but things dont always work right and they patch when they can rather than replace.

I very much enjoyed four years at Vizcaya - the staff was great. Whenever there was a maintenance request, it was taken care of very quickly. Highly recommend if youre looking for a place to rent! Near plenty of shopping and restaurants a quick access to the highway.

I had the pleasure of taking a Zoom tour with Erika today. She was very informative and kind. With all of the choices available in the area she made this property stand out. I will be making my decision soon and my experience with Erika has moved this property to the top of my list.

The views at the apartment were great, and the interior was clean, overall. Staff member Erika (I believe that is her name) was excellent, the others? Not so much. I moved in and had to leave about three months into the lease due to an emergency. Naturally, I was aware of all the additional fees I would incur. However, a few months after I left, I received a supplemental bill for repainting and cleaning. I completed a very detailed move-in inspection form, where I annotated the many issues with the paint and so forth.Most importantly, I took a video of the home before moving in, and once I left. They charged me for preexisting conditions, and Im sure they will continue to do this with others. Upon move-in, there was a huge water stain on the ceiling in the master bedroom, and when I asked about this, they stated it would be addressed...Im sure they used my money to address their issue. Sadly, people lack the integrity to such a degree. Had it not been for their greed, my review would be higher, but true colors often come to surface when money is involved—what a way to treat an honest tenant. Make certain you document everything and address all prior to relocation!

Lived in Vizcaya Hilltop Apartments for a year and a half. Any maintenance issues were sorted out in a quick and efficient fashion. Front staff were always upbeat and ready to help out with what ever questions you might have. Apartment suited my need as a young single adult and was able to work either night, day, or swing shift without issue even with apartment life. Highly recommended complex. Affordable with the current area trends as well.

It has been a pleasure living here for more than 2 years now. The apartments are clean, the surrounding is also clean and peaceful. The maintenance guys always seem to be on top of their game as Ive had all my maintenance requests completed same day!! The office staff is also very helpful and professional. Overall, this has been one of the best places Ive lived in.

Loved this apartment complex; everyone is so friendly and caring, and is there when you need them. Love the dog park as well! Shalonda is amazing!

Our move-in experience has been smooth and easy! Priscilla was a huge help in walking us through the application and lease for our new place. The apartment is beautiful and all the appliances are new. The nearby streets have some noise at night. There is a ton of closet space, and the parking lot and pool areas are being renovated for the summer. Im looking forward to seeing the results!

From the moment I started searching for a place to rent Erika Canela received my email and reached out to me to schedule an appointment immediately. She has been so attentive and helpful through the whole process. She is very professional and goes above and beyond to help perspective renters. We love our new apartment. Its spacious, clean and is in a very well kept apartment building. They provide amenities like a business center that has been a godsend for my husband and I as we fill out change of address forms and contracts for our new home being built. If we werent needing to move I would consider this place most definitely. Even the maintenance team has been super helpful.

Nice apartment, great location. Staff are helpful, maintenance crew answer calls promptly and get the job done. Second time in two days we had to have help with an appliance, and Jason came right away. He was courteous and efficient, and solved the issue in no time at all.

Lots of small things add up to having professionalism within a company. LB Fence has had the pleasure working with Vizcaya on a couple different projects. They take pride with day-to-day operations such as; having clean grounds, up to date security measures, and wonderful staff. The management team is firmly committed in doing what it takes to get the job done. Having team members from the get go makes the process go smoothly, so contractors like ourselves can get our job completed in a fast and timely matter. Great Company to work with!

We just came from a horrible apartment complex so we were pretty nervous about what to expect, BUT we worked with Priscilla and she was amazing. Very knowledgable and kind. Their entire staff has been great and made everything super easy. There were some issues with the gate codes and some outlets in the apartment but once we let maintenance know they replied promptly and fixed the problem properly same day. Everything has been great so far, beautiful view, beautiful apartment, open parking, lots grassy area for our pets that is kept up well. So far really satisfied with this apartment complex and would recommend to anyone.

The apartment is clean and fresh, the layout makes sense (its a good use of space), all appliances were in good shape and good working order, the staff are friendly and responsive. The area is quiet and the insulation is good. We live in an apartment right beside the road and we cant ever hear the traffic. The grounds are well-kept, the fitness center is truly open 24-hours and the fitness machines are in good working order. The maintenance staff respond quickly, are knowledgeable, friendly and polite (kudos to you, Chad!). Truly a peaceful place to live - no complaints.

The Vizcaya Apartments have a park-like setting and neighborly residents. Our apartment was spotless when we moved in. The staff is friendly, and the few repairs weve needed have been made quickly. On a larger scale, great effort has been put into the overall appearance with new paint and roofing, as well as repaved driveways and parking. The swimming area just received attractive new pool furniture and upgrades. Weve lived here for nearly a year and have found it a comfortable and welcoming residence.

The apartments are really nice and the maintenance workers work fast and are always kind to me. My biggest hang up is how rude and unsympathetic the front office can be when it comes to hard issues. Long story short there was a technical error on their site, which put me in a difficult situation. While the issue was worked out the process was handled it like I was inconveniencing the office and they gave me a 1-800 number which essentially is just voicemail. Its a nice place to live, but pray that you dont have any technical issues because thats when the front office will turn a wonderful place to live to a living nightmare.

Weve lived here for about 7 months and I love it. My 2 bedroom 2 bath is HUGE. Its comfortable. The gym upgrades are amazing, maintenance has ALWAYS been awesome fir me- they come when asked and fix whatever little issue I have, are nice and polite. The gates have been ridiculous lately. My issue with the complex isnt with management, seeing as they are all reasonable, helpful and friendly. Its with residents and resident guests. People driving IN the out gate, getting on your bumper while your maneuvering the bumps or parking, people driving too fast and not mindful that you are half backed out. Its rude. But it IS apartment living. There is always complaints with any complex. I feel ours is better managed and maintained than many and will be sad to leave.

I leased a one bedroom floor level apartment from Vizcaya from November 2013 to May 2014. My lease was technically up on May 1st and to stay through the end of the month would have been an additional fee. I could not get out of my work obligations before the end of May and communicated this to the manager. Vizcaya were wonderful with the arrangements and did not charge me any extra fees aside from my monthly rent.The apartment was clean, quiet and very secure. I loved the grounds, the people and the feel of it. I moved on May 29th and Vizcaya actually gave me almost all of my security deposit back, despite the fact that I stayed 3 weeks beyond my lease end.My apartment had a huge balcony area with a separate laundry room and huge storage closet. The bedroom had a walk in closet as well as a normal closet and the bathroom was a good size. The kitchen had dishwasher, garbage disposal and microwave and was warm and comforting. The unit came with an alarm system and the heating bill (even through winter) was never more than $56! Great, great place!I highly recommend Vizcaya to anyone looking for a great, inexpensive and secure apartment complex in Reno.Love this place. Would rent again if I am on work contract in Reno again in a heart beat

Living here has been an absolute pleasure. Its very quiet, very clean and very nice. Especially the office. Monica helped me with all my lease questions and couldnt have been nicer. Coleman is also a pleasure to work with, but honestly the WHOLE staff is GREAT!

Vizcaya is just the best. Ive lived here 2 years, and am so sad to have to be moving out here at the end of the my lease. The upgraded gym is wonderful, and I attribute it as the sole reason I am back in shape. The tenants and neighbors are delightful. There are always snacks in the leasing office, along with complimentary coffee. The staff is very easy to work with, and just a delight to be around.

We needed some maintenance done around our apartment. Our fridge was leaking and was old. They were quick to fix the problem. Chad was awesome! He came in with great customer service and was able to get us a new fridge! I definitely would recommend him all the time to anyone that lives in our complex or plans to. Thanks chad! You rock!

My experience had been really bad from day one.The lady who was working that day and handed key to us, completely ruined my move in day. She was arrogant, rude and unprofessional. It’s been almost 8 months for me here and every day I have regretted living here. Can’t wait for my lease to be over and get out of this place.Some of the people who live in this community are great but some people, they are not great to have them as a neighbor. I have seen so many scratch Marks on my car in last 8 months that I can’t even count.

7 months later.. I have NOTHING good to say about this place. DO NOT RENT HERE! We have lived here for several months now and thank GOD our lease is up. I wasnt going to be nasty and write this review but an incident this morning out me over the edge. I went to the clubhouse to use the printer as mine was acting up. I was about to press print when some man walks up and tells me I have to leave and I wasnt allowed to be in there. I asked him why the door was unlocked and he just told me to get out. I showed him my keys and proved that I was a resident and he still refused to let me print my 1 piece of paper. There are so many other problems with this place. The gate is NEVER closed and because of this we have has several items stolen including but not limited to, sand bags out of the bed of my truck, the tow hitch off my truck. We have had our Audi broken into. Security is a JOKE! My neighbors fire alarms were going off and I was frantically trying to alert someone from management while on the phone with 911, couldnt get ahold of anyone even on the emergency maintenance. The firemen eventually found a maintenance guy just wandering around, not answering the phone or doing his job. We have been paying for a club house and gym that has been open for a handful of weeks (If that) since we have been here. We have submitted MULTIPLE maintenance requests, multiple times and no one has ever come to fill our requests to this day. It has also gone under new management and rent has SKYROCKETED! When we received a paper asking if we wanted to renew our lease, some of the options were DOUBLE what we pay now and most were a $700+ increase per month! Save yourself the trouble, dont even waste your time here!

Way over priced for a two bedroom apartment. They only give one parking spot for each apartment and parking is horrible in the evening. If you are behind on registration for your car they will put stickers on your car that leave residue every time they see your car. I dont know why its any of their business to put stickers on your car. The customer service is horrible, and the kitchen appliances like the dishwasher and garbage disposal are very poor quality. If you want clean dishes living here you better always do them by hand. They promised a very safe neighborhood but then there was a gun fight in the hallways of one of the buildings. My car got broken into during the middle of the day. My apartment window has been broken, this is not a safe place to live and is way overpriced, close to 1400 for two bedrooms. Do not live here, dont get sucked in by their lies.

Since I moved in I have been satisfied with every aspect of Vizcaya. First, during the initial phases of trying to fill out the rental application -- Priscilla who works inside of the rental office was very punctual, articulate, friendly, and helpful in guiding me through the steps of the application and during the tour she gave me of the Vizcaya community. Secondly, the apartments at Vizcaya are very spacious and provide so many amenities (such as a fireplace if you live upstairs, full size washer/dryer, refrigerator, oven with stove top, microwave, pantry room, dishwasher, and an enclosed balcony/patio which is ideal if youre going to be living in northern Nevada during the winter/spring/fall seasons) that it makes you feel smart for renting an apartment instead of buying a house. Next, even though after a couple of months I have experienced some wear and tear in my apartment such as water leaking from under the master bathroom sink, my cabinet door falling off, and paint along the lining of our bathtubs cracking Vizcaya has made all of these nuisances seem trivial and unimportant by providing punctual, efficient, and quick responses from their maintenance staff. Specifically Jason has been a superstar when it comes to efficiency and being a man of his word. Every time he promises to check into something or to get something done for you, he makes it happen as soon as possible. I really appreciate Vizcaya for providing pizza raffles for Superbowl Sunday, to handing out donuts & coffee in the morning, to Christmas get-togethers in the lounge room. Lastly, when I moved in all of our appliances that I previously mentioned were brand spanking new with plastic, manuals, and that new appliance smell accompanying every amenity. Im definitely happy here!

Terrible customer service, the staff purposely calls you and gives you misinformation trapping you in fees. Be careful when you move out because they charge you for EVERYTHING. It looks so nice when you first walk through the door and take a look around until you realize that the counters are just painted with a cheap lacquer that will surely chip if you are diligent with your cleaning. The bathtub looks pristine white and nice until you get close enough to see that it has just been painted over too many times with cheap white paint that will also chip if you like to keep your tub clean. It’s disappointing that you pay incredible amounts in rent every month in a place where they trap you in fees, purposely give you wrong information and act like it never happened when you confront the person directly, and charge you to fix the things that they halfhazordly put together in the apartment. If you want to live somewhere where you feel supported and respected, avoid this apartment complex.

Awful place right at you moving day they were closed I drove all the way from Colorado everything looked and sounded perfect till we got there. They hide information from you and when I asked the lady showing our contract why they didnt let us know before she looked at us with her horrible and sarcastic face and said You dont need to sign it Wichita was very convenient and beautiful after driving for 18 hours without anywhere to go because you thought your keys would be there waiting for you. Terrible customers service. Do yourself a huge fave and dont come here.

I have lived at vizcaya for 3 months. it is an excellent location and the grounds are kept up very well....lots of green grass and trees everywhere...a real plus for living in the high desert. i have nice neighbors and it is quiet here, except the creaking of the ceiling when they walk around. i feel safe here, which is of utmost importance to me. ive heard the rent may go way up next year when my lease is up, which means i will have to move, as i am a senior on fixed income. i hope that doesnt happen. maintenance has been helpful. i think theres a real conscious effort to keep tenants satisfied.

The Vizcaya’s staff is very professional, friendly and helpful, specially Erika, Prescilla, the Assistant Manager and Taz! We’ve lived here for about a year and half now, all I can say is this place is amazing! Maintenance requests are taken care of fully and in a timely manner! the location is great! It’s a bit pricey but it worth it! I enjoy living here and would recommend The Vizcaya to anyone!

Spent the last year here and I really have no complaints. My A/C went out a few months ago during a heat wave and the maintenance guy John was fast to fix it and check up on it afterwards. The front office is always professional and has some pretty bomb cookies every time I stop by. Kind of surprised by some of the reviews on here. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Ive lived in some pretty crappy places in Reno but this is among the nicest one. The only annoyance I have are people not picking up after their dogs, but thats just careless jerks.

Do yourself a favor and dont live here. Our apartment flooded on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning and here we are, nearly a month later, STILL fighting them to take care of the odor caused in the apartment. I have NEVER been so disgusted by apathy by a corporation. It took a week to get carpet cleaners in after the initial flood in which sewer (dirty water, not raw sewage) water backed up into our apartment and leaked all over the kitchen floor and into the living room. I have had a similar situation happen where the apartment complex moved us into a brand new apartment and waived the following months rent so Im well aware of how this SHOULD work. These people are greedy slumlords.

The worst apartment complex ever. When i first started there I was asking over and over for the security. I have been paying 1100$ for the last year on my rent for 1 bedroom apartment. Last year in April I was going up the stairs to my apartment and I was gun pointed by 2 guys, they were there for my neighbor who was dealing drugs apparently. The management office was aware about that, but didnt want to deal with it. By having law enforcement background, I was able to handle the situation good and not be shot for nothing. I went there the next morning and I told them I was leaving because the neighbor knocked on my door and he was made aware that he was being evicted because of me. They did not care to remove the rent for 1 whole month I was leaving with my friends while that neighbor was leaving the complex. They said it isnt in their hands, and cant deal with that. After it was all done I had an investigator call me and tell me to interview me about the incident, because something else happened there. I went to the office and talked to the manager who straight lied to my face, he told me nothing more happened. Well the truth was that they went back and had a shooting, bullets went through the bedrooms of other tenants. After this was all done, I have PTSD now. Another night, 2 months ago I was about to go to my apartment, and a drunk guy sneaked behind me. Because of my ptsd i got a panic attack. I tried to call the security and they did not answer. I was driving around trying to see the guy leave. It was scary. When i brought it up to managers office they didnt care. All i can say is if you are a female, without a gun, dont live here. You might be dead because of them not caring for security, and your family will never know what happened to you.

I honestly have not been able to find a single negative thing about this apartment. Everything is great, five stars from me.

The apartment is falling apart and they refuse to fix it. There are bugs because the windows are so old and not sealed properly that moisture is coming in. There are mold issues also. Maintenance doesnt know what they are doing and everything that supposedly makes our unit upgraded is half-assed and chintzy. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors every step, every phone call, every time they go to the bathroom. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. The office management doesnt handle anything. The only reason Im awake right now is because my upstairs neighbors and the office does nothing. Has been going on everyday since we moved in.
