I would recommend this place to anyone that doesnt like noise, enjoys a private life, and is in need of staff that actually helps and works with you. When we first started to fill out our application, and getting all the information we needed, our employer wouldnt cooperate. But the staff here were so helpful and willing to call them asking for information, doing everything they could to get us approved, and still answer our day to day questions. The community is quiet even in the afternoon when everyone is getting off work. The apartment itself is outstanding. Manzanita Gate Apartments are the most professional and cooperative. They respond incredibly quick to all calls, emails, or visits. Allowed us to tour the property the first day of our asking, and even showed us the apartment to apply for before we applied. It wasnt a model room either.The location is also a huge plus! We are next to an assortment of shops and stores. We are only a short walk from the pool they have, and the park down the road. My partner and I look forward to working with them throughout our lease and are super thankful for everything we have here. Again 10/10 recommend Manzanita Gate Apartments.

Ive been living here since August 2020, and Im quite happy with my apartment. In fact I was so impressed as soon as I first walked into my empty apartment that later in the day when I talked to Joanne at the leasing office, I asked if any unit is available for sale. If I could have everything my way (which, of course, is impossible), the complex would have a bit larger pool and walkways across and around the complex that are continuous, but overall Im definitely getting a quality living experience for my rent. Perhaps the best feature here is the responsive, helpful leasing office staff, especially Joanne. Kudos to everyone at the office!

The moment I viewed the first open unit, I instantly knew this was going to be my next home. I just moved in a week ago and the staff and maintenance people have been absolutely wonderful. I moved to Manzanita Gates from a luxury apartment and I have to say, I am more impressed with Manzanita Gates. The attention to details and everything the unit has to offer is beyond my expectations. I have highly recommended to my friends to come check out Manzanita Gates for their next new home.

Mollie (dog) and I have had a tremendously wonderful experience here at Manzanita Gates. The units are older, but also architecturally smart when they were built. This is my third unit here...all have been larger, one-bedrooms and private.I am currently on the ground-floor due to my disability limitations. I dont ever hear my neighbors above me! Lots of natural light and high ceilings make me forget there are even neighbors above me at times.Having a progressive disability and needing to rely more on the office management/maintenance staff is extremely difficult; in spite of it, they have never once made me feel disabled. They installed some safety equipment in my unit. They seamlessly assisted me with necessary paperwork for my disability.Lastly, I am very impressed with how well kept the property grounds have been. I am not going anywhere :)

We just moved into our new apartment and all I can say is that the staff are wonderful and helpful if you have a problem with anything they are on top of it! We are so glad to be part of the Manzanita gate apartments family

I have to revisit this post and make an adjustment.I am truly thankful for Manzanita Gate Apartments and that we are able to solve our issues and we were being able to extend our lease to a month-to-month basis in a reasonable price.I definitely recommend people to live here. Its quiet. Its close to a lot stores, groceries, and schools.Theres a good bike route and neighborhood trails if youre looking for a nice walk or cardio.Once again I want to thank the Apartment staff for making it less stressful for us this start of the year. We are hoping to close on our first home soon and were glad to have you as our last apartment home.

Ive had the best experience living here @ the Manzanita Gate Apartments. Everyone that Ive dealt with on staff, from leasing agent to office staff to maintenance, has been amazing. Anytime Ive had a maintenance issue ive received word back in less than 24 hrs and problems resolved in the same time frame.To go beyond that my fellow neighbors are also pretty dang rad. Im from big city life so im very used to people ignoring their neighbors but here it is a completely different story. Everyone is so friendly and even take the time to get to know each others names and their pets names.All in all a rad place to live.

Great place to live

I have lived here for almost a year now and feel like I have had enough interaction with the staff to write a pretty good and accurate review. When I first moved in I had roommates, but our situation changed and it was time to get a new place. I looked around town and first off Manzanita Gate seemed to have the most affordable rent prices. Secondly, when I approached the staff to move to a new unit, there was a TON of paperwork to do as we were doing this before our lease was up; Annie was absolutely amazing and along with Richard they literally took care of everything and made the process extremely easy for us all. I would have been absolutely lost if I had to figure out all of the details of this move and I was completely blown away by how helpful everyone has been. Any maintenance issues I have had that they have control over have been fixed right away. The maintenance guys are always extremely professional and super nice! Dewy always says hello and has gone above and beyond on several occasions. I definitely feel like a part of this community and the staff being so friendly really makes or breaks it. If something isn’t right the managers get involved and you can tell they really care. Aside from that, the units are clean and upgraded and nice and bright. I love living here!!

I have lived here twice over the last 4.5 years and this place is great! The office staff is friendly and quickly remember your name. They make the application process smooth and are available to answer any questions. Maintenance staff is always timely and fix any issues. The quality of the units, property, and staff deserve nothing less than 5 stars. I would highly recommend living here!

I have been living here for 6 months now, and I absolutely love it here. The apartment is really nice and homey, there is a dog park on-site, the area is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. My husband and I are traveling nurses and we have lived in many apartments during out time traveling. This is one of the best apartment experiences we have had. Joanne and the office staff made our move to Reno seamless and easy. Once in Reno the move in process was a breeze. The apartments were spacious and well maintained. If we had any issues the maintenance staff would take care of them in a timely manner. The grounds are well maintained and a short drive to anything you could need.

Please becareful there is covid-19 in the staff. Please becareful.... I just hope that everyone that was exposed or has had it, has had the chance to quarantine.

We have lived here for about three months so far and have no complaints. The staff is extremely nice and maintenance has taken care of our requests quickly. The neighborhood feels safe and the location is amazing (very quiet and low-key).

Good clean apartment. I stayed 3 months while there for work assignment and I didnt have any real issues. One lady in the office was terrible but the rest of the staff was great so its easy to work around.

We moved from Ohio to Manzanita Apartments last month. The location is beautiful, the staff is very helpful. A special thanks to Natalia and Elli for their efforts to make the move in process smooth. they were very helpful in completing the paper work. The maintenance is very fast and very good. The place is neat and well maintained. Good school Zones. The apartment floor plans are excellent and have lots of storage space . I highly recommend Manzanita Gates Apartments!!!

I am only here for 3 months but wish I could stay longer!! I am a travel nurse and thus have stayed at many apartment complexes and hands down this is my favorite one. I work in a downtown hospital and my commute is rarely more than 10 minutes. The setting and grounds are lovely, the pool, hot tub and gym are well maintained and inviting. Maintenance issues are dealt with promptly and the staff in the office are incredibly friendly and supportive. Im fortunate that my unit faces the hills and has the most amazing view of Reno and the mountains. The interior is clean and comfortable. Its also very quiet and I never hear any of my neighbors. I appreciate having an assigned covered parking spot and an additional bonus of overflow parking area for RV or boat. I admit I was at first surprised to find the units do not have microwaves, but have learned to live quite fine without one. I could always buy a counter top one if it was a bigger issue. I love living here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in the Reno area.

The views of the surrounding mountains are also beautiful set in a great location in NW Reno. The staff is very responsive with any questions or concerns. Prior Tenant for around 2.5yrs. This was a great little spot. I had two different units, a 1B and a 2B, and they were both great. Never had an issue with anything in the units. Decently sized and decently priced leases. Always friendly and helpful staff when going to pick up mail or go to the hot tub. Just normal apartment life stuff, parking was a pain, loud stompy upstairs neighbors, always hearing (but never seeing) about dog poop being left. Things youd expect at almost at other apartment spot. Despite that, this is definitely worth a check if youre in the market.

Manzanita Gate Apartments is a very wonderful place to live. The staff is very helpful and wonderful to be around; the ladies in the Club House are wonderful and very optimistic. They always receive us with a cake which is good to be honest!! Pool area is nice and a place to BBQ ribs while on the pool. The apartment is renovated with new everything. Its a very quiet place, I LOVE IT!!!!

We just moved in a few weeks ago and we are already loving it here! Our apartment is perfect for the two of us, it was perfectly clean and ready for us to move in and the grounds outside are kept neat and beautiful! Joanne and Kathy in the front office are more than helpful and inviting. We are so happy with our decision to move here!

Me and my boyfriend we’re gonna move here, to only find out there scamming. We were trying to hold a apt 3 weeks out and they said rent would go up after securing it. That’s not how it should be. Not to mention the lady said we won’t be getting our deposit back even if we clean the place spotless.

The gals in the office were the best ! Always professional and friendly, they helped me out tremendously. Great place for a dog and a starter family, quiet, peaceful and the amenities were in tip top shape. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone moving to the area !

Super easy and smooth move in process! Ryan made everything as stress free as possible. My apartment was spotless moving in and the complex is very quiet. This complex is very pet friendly and my dog has already made lots of doggie friends to wrestle with! I’ve had two maintenance concerns and both were addressed quickly and professionally. They are also on top of snow and ice removal and putting ice melt down.

Joanne was amazing through our whole move in process. She accommodated us at every corner we needed. It is a great community up here with some amazing views, parks, and walking paths! The staff is very friendly and ready to help at anytime. Highly recommend this place to every!

Nice complex in the northwest part of town. Quiet area with views of Peavine and the Carson range foothills. They have been very quick to respond to any repair or other requests. Also the workout room is available to residents 24/7. Easy low traffic access to I-80 via Robb Dr. for getting out to Donner Summit/North Tahoe to hike/ski.

My wife and I have lived here at Manzanita Gate Apartments for three years now. Coming from someone who has actually lived in an apartment for over ten years, and 5 different apartment communities, this is by far the best community we have lived in (including past luxury communities). Reading through past reviews, I understand where some of the frustration is coming from, but honestly, dont blame the management staff. A lot of these complaints are common issues in every community, and, having a great and ongoing relationship with the wonderful and dedicated management and maintenance staff, I know that they are doing everything they can, to the best of their ability, to care for their residents while taking pride in this community. Yes, the dog poop has been an ongoing issue, but that is the fault of the lazy and careless residents that cannot cleanup after their own pets not the management staff, as they have been working tirelessly on this issue for awhile now. And honestly, if you catch a resident not cleaning up after their pets, report it, as it is incredibly disrespectful to the fellow residents.As for the apartment itself, we lucked out with an amazing top floor corner unit that provided lots of sunshine. We had an amazing and roomy living room, a sunny and open dining room, and a cozy garden tub in the master bath. Honestly our favorite apartment that we have ever lived in.While we are moving on to bigger things, we will always cherish our time spent living at Manzanita Gate. Its a great location, a great community, and an amazing staff that remembers your name. What more could you ask for?

The lead manager at this complex (Joanne) is rude, careless and unqualified to manage such a big complex. I lived here for a year and decided to move out since I wasn’t comfortable living here anymore because of her. I remembered, every time I used the pool here, she would stick her head out from her office to see who was using the facilities....it made me really uncomfortable. My interactions with her weren’t any better. When I went to go pick up a package from her one time, she was unable to locate it. Instead of digging in further to locate the lost package, she told me “oh well” and asked if I sent it to the wrong address? For the price they are charging, you can find a much better place. This place is old from the inside out, don’t let the lipstick on a pig fool you. The plumbing and electricals are “outdated” (thats the most polite way I can put it). Many new developments popping out in NW Reno now a days, choose something newer and with better management, that’s my best advise to people.

The worst apartment I ever lived! I am so glad I move out. Dont let the nice ground and office fool you.The management is horrible! When you have a package at office, they dont leave a note in your mailbox; they dont send an email or give a call. Even when I go to office, they cannot find my package and they try to convince me that I gave the wrong address! After I insist and they try harder, they find my package. This happens ALL the time.There is no constant water/sewer/trash fee. There are months that I had to pay $150!Oh and when you move out, they charge you too much that your deposit wont cover it. I assure you that they will charge you for the damages that were done by previous tenants. And they will immediately send the charge to the collection.You can get much better options in NW Reno with less amount of money.

The management of this place is horrible. We experienced no privacy here. We rented an apartment by the office. We received so many notices, we felt harassed. In my experience, the management accused us doing of all kinds of things that we didnt do and they didnt care, they have no compassion (my daughter is ill) and have no sense of decorum. It was awful, what a waste of time. Stay away!

Awful place. Staff is very rude and not helpful whatsoever. Experienced issues with pet waste being all over the property, probably due to the fact that they dont replace bags in the pet waste containers when needed. To fix this problem they suggest to spy on your neighbors and take their pictures to ensure they get a 50$ fine. They post passive agressive letters on all of the residence doors regularly concerning the issue. Management is extremely immature and impossible to have a reasonable conversation with. DO NOT MOVE HERE 👎
