I have used Gregs Garage for service on both my cars. Everyone there has been nothing but nice to me. They were polite over the phone when I made the appointment. They took care of what I needed done professionally. The prices are reasonable and they dont pressure you into anything. Really appreciate the good service I have received and would recommend them to anyone.

Took my truck into gregs garage for a oil change and some minor repairs. I asked them to be sure to check the battery, the rep said no problem, The next day after I picked up my truck up I was left stranded ,I had to replace the battery and the alternator . I am sorry to report that I am incredibly disappointed with Gregs Garage. I have been coming to Gregs garage for all of my auto needs for about 5 years. Before I owned my vehicle, it was also taken to Gregs garage. Every year I have gotten routine maintenance and always leave paying $500+ .This year my car began to overheat and as always, I scheduled an appointment. Every time I come into Gregs garage I am treated with cold and short responses, which is fine since I dont come for conversation; however, it is frustrating that they dont seem to recognize me or my vehicle.The biggest reason this bothered me is because my vehicle was displaying lights that I had taken in to get it fixed only last year. I payed over $200 dollars to fix this issue and it hadnt lasted a couple years. Whats more, they wanted to charge a $200 diagnostic fee, even though this is the same issue they supposedly fixed a year ago. But I didnt argue and went along with the overall $400 estimate for a diagnosis.My appointment was at 7:30am on a Tuesday. They kept my car all day without giving me an update, even after I called to check in. They told me they would get to it first thing in the morning. I called at 12:30pm on Wednesday. The person who answered informed me that the staff was at lunch, but my car would be the first car they got to after lunch. I picked up my car at 7:00am on Thursday morning after two days of promises to get to my car and not even a courtesy phone call saying that they did not get to it.I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service and general courtesy that I have experienced. Completely unprofessional. I feel like these people try and do as little as possible while simultaneously trying to get as much money from the customer.I made an appointment at a different auto repair the next day. When I came in it was quick, easy, and a pleasant experience. They told me what time they would get back to me and how they would send me a full report of my vehicles problems. They called me two hours before they said they would and I got an entire rundown of my vehicles issues sent directly to my phone with pictures of my car as examples.I got my car back the next day. They had replaced the radiator, and thermostat and an oil change and it was $1200 total. Considering Greg Garages initial estimate of a $400 diagnosis, Im sure I would have ended up paying double for much worse service. I also want to add that after I drove my car away from the other auto shop, my car was driving smoother and sounded quieter than it ever had leaving Gregs Garage.Gregs Garage ultimately has no investment in the customer or their vehicles. The staff is clearly there for their paycheck. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Im an 80 yo widow whos in love w/her 32 yo car w/only 60K miles. Gregs keeps her running in tip top shape. I have every confidence that my upcoming 4-day road trip w/my friend will have no auto issues, For me and a number of my family and friends, theyre the best.

We bought a car that had the check engine light go on just days later, and we brought it here to get it checked out and fixed. They were extremely nice, and got us our van back in a week. It would have been sooner if we hadnt dropped it off on a Friday. Im not at all annoyed by that, like it seems other reviewers have said. I totally get that it takes time to test everything, order parts and get things done.

They were super friendly and helpful. They updated me regularly on my car. Plus they even reached out after service to make sure everything was ok. This will be my new go to mechanic. All the great reviews were right.

So, because of the two day delay getting my car back I couldn’t check the “time” box however, please note that was in no means the fault of my mechanic or “The Garage” due to unforeseen and odd land mines found on the road to repair. Most impressive here is that Chris out in front for me and the mechanic and Greg plus likely more were involved in the issues with my Audi. Literally ten hours of labor was spent on my car and yet... I was charged but the five hours per the original estimate. Also, I was saved money on parts ordered that were not necessary for this surgical procedure on the coolant system. I cant say enough that you have put my mind at ease. I just recently moved to Reno and was wondering if I could find as good an auto repair shop that I had before. You have exceeded all my expectations and have taken the same care for my car as I experienced before. And having a shuttle system that is prompt and friendly is a plus. Juan is a kind and friendly and safe driver. So is the young woman who works for you (I forgot her name). Jeff was professional and friendly and helpful in all my dealings with him. The only negative I have and the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 stars is the fact that I didnt get calls from your shop on the status and progress of the work on my vehicle. I had to call every time to get an update. Since that vehicle is my only mode of transportation, I am highly interested in when Im going to get it back. Other than that, you have garnered yourself another faithful customer. Keep up the great work!

Integrity matters.I had struts replaced. They found the replacement was leaking, they replaced it.More importantly, they took photos of issues, explained how and when to deal with it, and they are watching for potential issues (a possible oil pan leak as an example).I have worked in a garage. I have worked on my own vehicles for a very long time. I have rebuilt totalled vehicles. I no longer have the time or all the tools to do that on new vehicles.The only other honest shop I have dealt with in 15 years is in Northern Arizona.

Seems like a honest mechanic shop.They provide shuttles for customers. Which is very helpful. The woman that drove me was very polite and friendly. My overall experience was good. if you live a busy lifestyle and you just dont have time to work on the car yourself. I totally recommend this place to have work done on your vehicle.

Highly recommend Greg’s Garage. Brought in my 2014 Impreza with the check engine light on 3 days before I had to drive across the country. My car ended up needing new spark plugs and a filter replaced (forgot what filter exactly). Job was done in two days and Mike kept me informed along the way. I also got an oil change/tires rotated while I was there.Thanks Mike and Team, my car handled a 3000 mile road trip with no issues!

I took my vehicle to get a check engine light diagnostic at the start of the business day on a Friday at about 7:30am. Closing time came around that day, and they had yet to diagnose why the check engine light was on. They are closed on weekends so I waited until Monday to hear from them. They said repairs would be finished by the end of Tuesday. They were courteous and polite, but it doesnt take more than a day to diagnose a check engine light.

They fit me in quickly and had my truck tuned up in no time. Great service and great people at Gregs Garage.

I brought my Infiniti QX to Greg’s for a tuneup and oil change and the check engine light was on. Unfortunately, my car will need major repairs, but they told me all my options. They fixed it so it is drivable until I decide what to do. It drives so well, you would not know it needs repairs.

My elderly folks took their car in for an A/C problem. Ole Greggs, in my opinion, took advantage of that. They claimed that belts were bad, a sure upsell. My folks were charged right around 180.00 for two belts that actual cost is roughly 40.00. Be careful of the upsetll folks!

Greg’s Garage saved us! Traveling south on Hwy 395 going home after 2 weeks on the road, something broke! Lucky for us, our brother-in-law lives in the area and recommended Greg. Service Mgr. Jeff, was efficient, professional and straight up with his diagnostic, sending us a detailed report. Got my car in they diagnosed the issue, was with the drive belt and oil pan the estimate was fast and they got it fixed earlier than I expected, Very friendly and knowledgeable Mechanics This is the Only shop i will go to and would highly recomend.

The appointment process was easy along with the check-in. They called right away with the the things they found that needed fixing and also pointed out a few things that could be fixed now or in the future. They delivered the card as promised. All of my contacts were with the same Service Writer. They did excellent work at a reasonable price. They will get all of my future business.

I brought my 1996 Collector Edition Corvette convertible to Greg’s Garage on a recommendation from another ‘vette owner. It’s a “garage queen” in Show condition. I called to make an appointment and talked to Jeff, the service writer. I asked a bunch of questions and he made me feel comfortable and confident that I could trust they knew what they were doing. When I got there, I asked if my car would be kept inside since they needed it for a couple of days. He said yes, and that only a Master Technician would be working on it. It needed a lube, oil change and filter, but I also had a list of other things to check on. Not only did they check the things on my list, but they checked tires, fluid levels, cooling system, lights and brakes. I was glad to hear all the things they checked, including on my list, were all working as designed. As a former Marine, I was also happy that they give military discounts along with an additional discount for being a AAA member. It’s a pleasure to deal with businesses that support veterans.Thanks Jeff and Curtis the Technician! Greg’s Garage will now be my go-to place for my ‘96 Corvette.

Triple A towed car and had them tow Gregs Garage. Just picked them off the web. They were able to take in the car, make checks (it overheated) and get back to me with a detail report. I then had them do the work and wow, best service and follow up I have ever experienced! They did radiator, hoses, timing belts water pump and even fixed the suspension which my Lexus dealer (Pleasanton CA) was never able to fix right for 7 years! Gregs fixed it in a few hours! Best shop I have ever been to in my lifetime! I am 58 so a lot of experience in this area. Great Job! Been driving car for a couple weeks and ride and engine are like new now (its a Lexus GX 470 2004) great work and customer service. Thank you! Ill be using this shop from now on for all my automotive needs.

The communication was great since they take pictures of necessary repairs and email it to you, but the estimate sheet I was sent used PAST-TENSE wording which made me believe they did over $3,000 in repairs I did not authorize (very weird, never seen a shop do this). The AAA discount (on labor only) was only applied to only ONE REPAIR and not all - so that screwed me out of 10% OFF. The repairs suggested were beyond what was necessary, all of the rubber tubes/pipes were fine, oil leak came from the oil sending unit (15 min fix) but they wanted to fix the gasket and a number of other things. For $3,000 I became a at-home mechanic and bought all the tools, parts and 7 hours of labor myself for just under $300. That means $2700 / 7 hours = $385 / hr I saved myself with this work. They dont allow outside parts (understandable), but to charge me 200% to 250% markup was beyond what I could accept. Had them perform one repair (but they billed as multiple labor items, negating the previously mentioned AAA discount) which I could not do myself, since it required me lifting the engine separately from the vehicle itself. They did that well, but I think Ill go to OReillys for my future diagnostics which are 2/3 the cost and my closest shop ADDS that diagnostic fee into the cost of repairs - Gregs Garage does not do this (again, understandable but not a win in my book).

Michaels worked on my car overpriced 1700 for my car to be sitting in the parking lot took back gave back to me the same did check the engine just drove it supposedly because a real mechanic well hear something wrong as soon as you turn it on. Everybody knows somethings wrong with my car except Mike with poor quality work this has been the worst experience with a mechanic and Ive been driving for more than 20 years.. Time lawyer up...

I dropped my car off for an overheating issue. I dealt mainly with Chris who was more than helpful. He had already had an idea of what the issue might be before I even brought it in. The shop was very quick and efficient with getting my car repaired. They called multiple times to keep me updated on the progress with my car. I would definitely recommend coming here with any issues you may have! Would give 10 stars if I could!

I was referred to Greg’s by another auto repair shop. My Jeep was leaking like a stuck pig! Jeff not only gave me a quick estimate but also provided Options and was straight forward with what NEEDED to get done and what I could wait on. The shuttle service was a real plus and arrived on time. The Jeep runs noticeably smoother and my level of confidence of it giving another 5 years before I adopt a new car payment. Good people. I first heard about Gregs Garage from an event the company hosted for the residents of my community - dang, Im so sorry to have missed it! A few years later, I purchased a used car that had passed its 3-year warranty period and felt it prudent to check out Gregs Garage, an independent shop. Boy, am I glad I did! I connected immediately with Dave, my first service advisor. He was honest, VERY knowledgeable and introduced me to nearly all the staff including the service techs in all the shop bays. He never rushed me, took lots of time answering all my questions, helped me decide the best course of action on a repair or maintenance issue and called me at home to make certain I was satisfied with the service. Because the engine temp had approached the red-line during a trip to Palm Springs, I brought my vehicle in for a coolant flush service. Lance, the company manager, overheard my concern and stepped into the conversation by offering to test drive my vehicle over the weekend to make certain the engine would not overheat again during long stretches of mountain highways. He experienced no problems while thoroughly enjoying the ride in my Jeep Grand Cherokee ecoDiesel. Although Dave has moved on, I am so pleased to continue my association with Gregs Garage through another great advisor, Jeff. Truly, there is absolutely no need to take any of our vehicles to a dealership because this company has become a member of our family. Had to bring in my truck to get fixed after a bunch of wear and tear had finally caught up to it. The people working here were very professional and informative. My steering column had to be rebuilt and now feels brand new. Really appreciate the work and will be back when I need more repairs done.

I have been to several shady auto places in Reno, and Greg’s was just what I was looking for in regards to good honest work. My father use to tell me to look for places that treat you like family, if you’re away from family, and that’s just the service I got here. I almost always went to the Ford Dealership in the past, but each time my experience got worse and worse.Greg’s had good prices, offered a student discount (however I was allowed to use my AAA discount), offered a shuttle ride back to work, used quality parts, got my car finished up in a short amount of time, kept me in the know with what was happening, used protective plastic in my car so that it didn’t get dirty and even had two friendly shop dogs that were hanging out that were very friendly (a nice touch indeed)!If I have anymore work that needs to be done, I will definitely be going back. I have also recommended several friends to go there as well.

Mike keeper on it and after listening to how I felt worked on all the issues until he found each one. Excellent service. I have been taking my aging Chevy S10 pickup to Gregs Garage for service and repairs for the past several years. Customer service is excellent! Especially with Jeff. They are always upfront with cost and will contact you with additional issues prior to initiating repairs. Estimates are accurate and clear. They will also give you a ride to work, home, etc. when you drop off your vehicle. I appreciate quality work and excellent customer service and am a loyal customer of Gregs.

Greg’s Garage did excellent work on my truck. They were able to get it in right away and finished the work a day before they had said it would be done. I always worry about finding a reputable shop for vehicle work and I believe I have. I would definitely use Greg’s again.

Everybody was very nice and my car (2010 subaru forester) is back in working order. The prices seemed legit (I dont know anything about this stuff but an oil change was about the same price as walmart where I normally go).

Never once have I been made to feel “less than intelligent” by any of the staff at Gregs. They have always treated me with respect and consideration. There is a reason we only bring our cars to Gregs and that is because we are treated like we are valued.

Well my bill started out st 2300 dollars but ended up as 3300 dollars. Then I had my car back for 2 HOURS and I had to have it towed home...guess the timing belt went. Now Ticos was supposed to have put a new timing bèlt in in 2015. It has never ran correctly since Ticos!!! And now I an without a car 10ìles out of town. Yeehaw. So I shall see what GREGS GARAGE HAS TO SAY ABOUT THE REPAIRS THIS TME!!! I pray it isnt 3400 DOLLARS!!!!

My Jeep had issues and the actual owner (Greg) went above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Also, Greg’s mechanics are the type of mechanic you want working on your car. I took my 2005 Toyota Tacoma to Greggs to have the rear brakes done as well as having the suspension control arm replace and the ball joints replaced. Arturo did a professional job, as well as Jeff who wrote up the order. Although I had hoped to receive a lower quote than the prrevious dealer garage I went to, the final bill was on par with the dealer. So, dont expect cheap work, but do expect professional, on-time work on your vehicle.
