The staff was so nice and welcoming. I loved it here I dropped my car off in the morning and it was done around mid afternoon. They did a amazing job and explained everything to me very well.

Based on recommendations we had seen for Maximum Performance - we made an appointment for our truck two weeks ago to bring it to their shop today for them to diagnose an issue. That was their first available time. We dropped it last night, at which point they advised they would call us this morning and let us know what was up.Well, by noon, we still hadnt heard anything. My husband called - they hadnt even LOOKED at it yet. They were still working on cars from the previous day in the bays. I called them back and (not very nicely) told them that they should have advised us when we dropped the truck they were not going to be able to look at it, and their back-up is not our problem when we have patiently waited two weeks for an appointment. Our truck should at least have been diagnosed at this point. The man said if I didnt like it then I can just come pick up your (insert colorful metaphor) truck. Great customer service. I guess when you have that much business, you really could care less if you lose one customer.So, my son and I walked up there, and picked up our truck.Be warned, if this is your first time there - you will not only get bumped to the back of the line - even with an appointment you are not important enough to even be looked at in a timely fashion. It seems the work they have is enough for them to keep going.

I gave 2 starts because they did get my car running - which is what I asked for. However, they did not tell me I needed to have an oil leak checked; the haz lights and turning signals are not working and the belts are dry and need replacement. Found out by another garage because I was driving and the turn signal was not working. So if you are looking for a place who does what you ask, then this is a good place. If you dont know about cars and rely on their expertise, this might not be the place.

I know somebody that has taken their car here before, and they have had good service and a good outcome with the service that was done. I was unable to get my 🚗 diagnosed by them because of a 2 week waiting period theyre that booked up that have no openings for 2 weeks. If I do take my car here I will do another report.

Took my vehicle in because it was pouring out steam. Was charged $75 to look at it, pressurize it overnight, and was told there was nothing wrong. Took it for a second opinion and within 5 min was informed my pump was bad. Completely unacceptable to charge for services that obviously were not performed.

We lived in Puyallup at first but for the last several years we’ve been driving all the way from Seattle for all our car repairs. They are the best and most knowledgeable people who are honest and fair. We will never go anywhere else. They’ve taken care of ALL of the cats we have always provided excellent service at a very fair price.

I had a serpentine belt that broke due to an seized up idler pulley so I decided to have my timing belt water pump kit done due to high miles anyhow. I left and blew a hose on back of motor that had nothing to do with the work they done they fit me in asap performed the work quickly and out the door with a fair price I left again to have hose clamps on a separate hose again began leaking causing overheat and causing a vacuum lock in cooling system both time I made it home and to work the following day about 40 miles I came back again they got me right in fixed it no cost didnt make me feel like I was a problem customer I mentioned I might have purchased a pos he assured me my car was a fair purchase and Im on the road now for a week no problemsBottom line is they hung with it didnt overcharge me and blame it on a high mile purchaseThey put over an hour and a half into my car at no chargeGood fair people and business

I’m sure everyone has, at some point been taken advantage of, by a dishonest mechanic.I know I have.My Father-in-law found this shop.He knows about cars, but he’s reached an age that makes it tough for him to crawl in, around, and under them.So when he needs something done to his car, he, (99% of the time,) knows what is wrong, and what needs to be done.He had been doing his own maintenance, and repairs, until he needed a new starter solenoid. He took it to Maximum Performance, and didn’t share his findings with them.About 10-15 minutes later, the mechanic returned, to tell him he needed a new starter solenoid.He had the repair done, and has been going there since.Given his experience, I have also had my car serviced there.My first experience, was a new thermostat, for my Infiniti G35, my car was done in about an hour.However, I noticed that my fan was running constantly, almost never turning off.One phone call later, they had my car back in the shop, and replaced what turned out to be a faulty thermostat.They were apologetic, even though they had no idea that the thermostat was faulty when they installed it.The owner is a friendly, talkative guy. He runs the front counter, and told me my next 3 oil changes would be free, for my trouble of having to return.I sent my sister there yesterday, after Larson Volkswagen gave her a price for her brakes, that was more than 3 times what they had quoted, when she took her car in for an oil change.I would recommend this place to any of my friends, and family.

This is the only shop I take my truck to. I trust them to only do work that is needed at a price that is fair. It’s always hard to get an appointment for less than about a week out but that is a good sign in my opinion. Greg always knows me when I call and he is friendly and helpful with any questions.

I have been taking my personal vehibles for over 10 years. I also take my 4 childrens vehicles also. I recommend them to my friends all the time. They keep records of each car and can squeeze a car in during kid car emergencies. Great staff. Great attitude and reasonable charges for necessary work. No surprises.

Had these guys install some A/F ratio, boost, and oil temp gauges in my SRT4. They did a professional job even with some of the parts missing. And for a reasonable cost. Would highly recommend.

All I can say is, these guys are honest, sincere guys. In my 70 years, Ive never had a better mechanic. We consider ourselves lucky to have them.

Im not a car girl... By any means, and Greg was super nice and listened to me ramble on and on about all the little quirks my car has. I dropped off at 8, and by 11 they had diagnosed the problem. By 1:30 i got another call saying everything had been taken care of and to come get my car. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Especially girls like me who like to troll the forums and get all worked up about what i think the problem could be. 👍

A few months ago, my check engine light, traction control and cruise control all turned on at the same time. I’ve also noticed for the past few years that my car would hesitate when stepping on the gas between 15-40 mph. I took my car in this morning and these guys found the issue (just a cracked spark plug needing replacement). Although it was a simple fix, never have I had such straight forward answers and speedy service from a repair shop. I was told they could look over the other plugs but they felt it wouldn’t be necessary, as this was the part that was reporting the code. The man I communicated with left a great impression, very nice and down to earth. I will definitely be coming here again, and I recommend everyone do the same!

I had extensive work done on my 1964 Buick Riviera ranging from brakes, headers, front end suspension work, heater...pretty much every system on the car. Glen, Byron and staff are true professionals. Theyre upfront and treated my car as if they were working on their own.

I was told my engine was shot on my 1996 Avalon. Took it to the mad scientists at Max. It only needed a new radiator cap. Before that, we took my car to three mechanics who could not fix the check engine light issue. After SEVERAL hundreds of dollars, we were sent to Max. They fixed it and it was super reasonable. I trust these guys!!!! I send everyone there.

Our whole family uses Maximum and we have always had wonderful service. They are honest, fair, and explain what needs to be done as well as what should be done but can wait. I drive all the way from Burien to have them work on my car, thats how awesome they are!

The first time I took a vehicle to Maximum Performance, there was a horrendous noise coming from underneath the chassis. It sounded like it was coming from the drive shaft. I dropped it off at the shop and got a call later in the day. It was fixed.When I went to the shop, they said there was no charge. I asked what was wrong, and they showed me a stone they had removed from a hard-to-see spot between the drive shaft and the chassis. They could have done whatever repair and charged me a fortune and I would not have known the difference.This example of honesty, integrity, and prompt response is their hallmark, and has made me a devoted customer for over 15 years and 6 cars and 2 vans. Repairs have been timely, fees reasonable, staff helpful and friendly, and the one time the repair didnt fix the problem, they did it right for free. They have inspected cars we wanted to purchase and prepared vehicles for long trips. We have owned American, Japanese, and European cars and vans, and they have serviced all of them.

Even though I didnt use this establishment they quoted me a fair price and were completely upfront about all repairs.

I took my sons car here to get a clutch so we could sell it. It is a high performance car and I was scared that I would get overcharged no matter where I went. They were very fair and suggested what was needed. I would recommend them for any repair in the future to any automobile work needed done.

They got my gmc jimmy in 2 days before my appointment to fix my oil cooler lines and brake calipers. This shop has the best prices in town, very thankful for maximum performace coming to save the day. If you want an honest mechanic this is the place to go.

Maximun Performance on Meridian does people right. We took our car in because its a little squeaky. I was recently told by Buckys I needed shocks. So thought that was the problem. Took our vehicle into this shop. They found nothing that could identify the exact problem. Thought maybe a random bushing some where on the body. They said they could not say I needed any work theyd feel good about doing. All, including shocks looked good! I am impressed because they could have taken us for, at the very least, shocks. They spent a lot of time trying to pinpoint the problem but only charged 30 min labor. Even though they couldnt identify the noise, they were honest and they didnt upsale or charge me for anything I didnt need! (This is the second time Buckys has falsely said we needed services we just didnt need! The first was a water pump that was not leaking as they said) Thats customer service done right!! Its always nice to be able to trust a mechanic.

I have been going here for 7 years now. They are an honest place and back up there work. Other places I have gone make mistakes and never fess up to them. They try and make it your fault or want extra money to fix a mistake they made. NOT HERE, Maximum Performance is a great place to have your auto fixed.

NOT HAPPY. I made an appointment a week in advance and brought my car to them at 8 a.m. on the scheduled date. I was told it would be a couple of hours and they would call me. Two hours later I returned to the shop and my car had not moved. I was then told they were going to drop it off at another location for the air conditioning work to be done! My disappointment was met with indifference and the remark that a lot of other people had made appointments too. I asked for my keys and left. I will not return. Minus 1 star review.

I called to get a new seatbelt, and after having Greg investigate for parts and such, he calls back letting me know that there was a dealer recall for the seatbelts and my car is still eligible. Greg told me where I can go to get them fixed for free, and warned me to avoid any unnecessary purchases people might try to tack on. Saved me $400+.I will be taking my car to Maximum Performance for future repairs, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a great reliable repair shop.
