I have been a customer of 15th Street for almost as long as they have been in business. Steve and Carrie are wonderful owners/operators and have outstanding service. I first stumbled on to them when I was looking for an AAA repair shop and am glad I did. Ive brought all my vehicles here as can be attested to when I had to clean up old vehicles from their system a few months ago! Even with a simple oil change they look for anything that could be a potential issue and give a priority list ranging from this could be a problem in the near future to this really needs to be done now. Ive always appreciated their work and they and their crew are just great people.If you are looking for a shop that treats you well, is up front about what work is needed, and has outstanding customer service, I highly recommend them! I wouldnt take my vehicles to any other place!

People were nice but charge a whopping 163$ just to diagnose the issue. Couldnt find the issue with my car and said to keeping looking they would need to do an unessential repair for $750 and left. Went to AAMCO, diagnosed my problem for free in under an hour and had my issue fixed in short order. Dont ever pay for a diagnosis when you get one free elsewhere.

After getting estimates from other businesses that were all over the board, I ended up at 15th Street Automotive, and very happy I did. My estimate was actually higher than the price I paid when I picked up my vehicle. They could have sent me on my way and charged me the estimate price, but they have that honesty and integrity everyone wants from their automotive service shop. Went in for an alignment and just an alignment. They refused to do the work unless I had them install a new steering box ($800+). I was charged $75 for an inspection I was forced into.An alignment would have taken fine without this, they are completely separate issues.

This place is a scam.. They quoted me a motor replacement and ended up to be leaking water pump. Waistes my money here. Chooes somewhere else.A & E automotive in Tacoma is better choice, they wont try ripping you off.

Ive never been to a place where women were this knowledgeable about cars. The staff and mechanics work relationships was great. I would recommend this place. I gave it four stars because there wasnt any music while you wait, but thats just me. This place does great work.

Took car in for appointment, waited 4 hours for them to call with estimate... service rep never called! I called her and she claimed she called and texted us... she texted and called some unknown number I never gave her!!! Then when I asked about price for repair, they wanted over $1000 to replace a actuator for the heater!! Claims 7 hours labor!!! ??? Don’t think so!!! What a waste of time!! 😡

Friendly staff! They were able to replace my transmission quickly and efficiently! Very affordable. We will definitely go to them first for any car repairs.

Great service. Super friendly. Oil change comes with vehicle report card and goes over 30 different items. Nothing put down for repairs that isnt actually needed like most places do. No high pressure. Totally enjoy going there.

This is the best mechanic around! The family that owns it is so nice, friendly and most importantly, honest. My family and I have been going to them for years and I would never consider going anywhere else.

Dishonest shop! They diagnosed my 6.5 diesel as needing a new injection pump and tried to charge me, $3,730.03 to repair it. I ended up replacing the PMD for, $200.00 and it runs great with no problems. Shame on this shop. At least it only cost me, $140.00 for a wrong diagnosis and not, $4,000.00 in unnecessary repairs. Stay away from this place!

Nightmare. Paid $780 for thermostat & radiator hose for shady work. I picked up my care after the repairs & few hours later, my car leaking coolant, check engine light on, and heater not working. I took car back to them & they wanted to charge me diagnostic fees for the technician shady job. I took it to Pep Boys & Tech tighten radiator hose & add coolant for free. Then, few days later, my check engine light came on & heater blowing cold air. I called 15th Street Auto. upset 😡 about the ongoing issues w/my car & told them I’m not paying them diagnostic fees for them messing up my car. Tech add coolant & said it was my combustion issues & engine oil engine problems. They quoted me $2500. I said No thank you, & I took my car to Chrysler dealership in Puyallup for diagnostic. Tech said the thermostat wasn’t put in correctly & this fixed the ongoing issues. No more leaking coolant, check engine light, and I have heat.

Took my car here after a bad experience at a car dealership and I didnt receive any better here. Took my car because of a lifter tick and axle grease boot missing a clamp.I dropped it off and had got a rental car because thought they knew what they were doing and I was going to have my car finally repaired. They call me a couple hours later and tell me absolutely nothing is wrong with my car I immediately picked up my car because they work on cars for a LIVING and should be able to hear abnormal sounds from an engine, but no I got the normal experience of the customer doesnt know anything about cars. Its a hemi lifter tick is a very common problem. I wasted $30 on that rental car for 2 hours. Shame on you 15th street automotive for wasting my time, money, and me losing hope in any mechanics shop. I will correct the issue my self and never revise my review because you dont deserve 1 star.

When our SUV failed emissions, we were given a list of places to take it in for inspection and repair. After looking online and reading reviews for what felt like hundreds of places we searched for 15th St Automotive. The reviews were great and it was close to home. I made the call and spoke with Carrie who is AWESOME! She explained the process and how it worked. We had our car fixed and it was not cheap but it did pass emissions and has been running better than it has in a long time. Our heater went out in our 2 vehicle and we took it in. I dont feel like I was scammed. I feel comfortable that I have actually found a honest auto repair shop that I can trust. I like that. I dont want to have to fix my cars again but if anything did happen my family and everybody I tell will be going to 15th St Automotive.

Refuse to help when I have already bought the parts and need someone to put them on. Cited warranty concerns which are a joke considering they would use OReilly and I have superior new Timken rear wheel bearings to install. Guess they think it is Larson?

Over priced for what you get. They charge as much if not more than a dealership would. Questionable workmanship. Was told on more than one occasion that parts that were installed were fine when they were actually defective. I felt nickled and dimed everytime I went in that I didn’t from previous shops. Took business elsewhere.

Great Experience with 15th St Automotive!I recently took a low mileage, one owner sports car that I was in the process of purchasing from local dealership over to 15th Street Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection.I had no prior knowledge about this business but I chose them because they are AAA (American Automobile Association) approved repair facility, and employ ASE-certified technicians.The kind lady who answered the phone, and handled the scheduling was polite and professional and awesome to work with.My appointment wasnt until 1pm the next day but the dealership got the car to the shop first thing in the morning. 15th Street Automotive went the extra mile, and took the initiative to get the inspection done ahead of schedule, and promptly got back in touch with me!The inspection cost was 2-3 times less expensive then what the dealership would have charged me for the same inspection.I was texted a link to a digital report of the full inspection including photographs. I was able to see everything online clearly and print out a clear copy. I was very impressed with their professionalism.15th Street Automotive clarified a few questions on the report and the car checked out perfectly fine and so I purchase the car.I live a few hours away from Puyallup Washington so when I got the car home I took it over to the dealership to have an oil change and fluids flushed - Just basic maintenance.The dealership confirmed that the pre-purchase inspection from 15th Street Automotive was indeed accurate. The car checked out fine with no issues.Based on my experience I highly recommend you check out 15th Street Automotive in Puyallup Washington for your vehicle servicing needs.

These guys were great fair priced and from what I can tell pretty honest. Easy to work with lamens terms when speaking about technical issues and when I had to go back to get a copy of a reciept months later they were happy to oblige. Greatful for this shop.

Excellent experience! I took a truck for a buyers inspection today and they immediately found a serious problem with the transfer box. They told me the problem was bad and to stay away from that truck. They didnt even charge me for the service as they said it only took them 5 mind to figure it out. Very honest and competent.
