I initially had an unpleasant experience with Palouse Hills Computing and my computer was in worse shape than it was when I dropped it off but they went above and beyond to get my computer fixed right and were a great help at the end of things

I brought in a computer that was malfunctioning because I hadnt bothered to clear the dust out of it for a couple of years. The technician who worked on it not only didnt ridicule me, but invited me back to his station and walked me through what he was doing. When the the broken parts were replaced, I took the computer home and found that it ran great but couldnt recognize my mic and webcam. I called Palouse Hills, spoke to a different tech who was unable to help over the phone, and -- heres the good part -- instead of asking me to bring it back in, he made a house call, driving from Pullman to Moscow and spending a half hour straightening out an apparent updating issue with Windows 10. That was impressive.

A real jerk. Was in there a few months ago to see if they could supply me with parts. That is why I gave them a generous 2 stars. Yesterday, I walked into the store to ask for directions. Didnt turn around in the chair. I asked if I could sit with the baby until my wife got back with my cane so I can walk without the stroller. He immediately snapped. I walked out and waited outside for my wife! Too bad because I spent so much money in my favorite computer store before we moved. Apparently this guy has mouthed off to people in other businesses too. I have been building and repairing computers for years, but have never dealt with this before.

THE BEST! This is the first time I have ever had my computer serviced but after hearing about other peoples experiences, I feel I got an excellent deal. Quality, quick, and great prices. Probably going to bringing in my other computers pretty soon to get a few things fixed on those too. Thank you so much!

My 5 year old laptop wasnt booting up, and after trying and failing to google solutions and fix it myself I finally decided to let a professional handle it. These guys do great work! My computer had a software issue that was easily resolved and I didnt lose any of my files. He even cleaned my keyboard (which Im slightly embarrassed about, it was super gross) and soldered a loose connection. Best part was that it cost me less than $100. My only complaint was that it took over a week to finish, but I also told them upfront that I wasnt in a rush and they were pretty busy at the time. I couldnt say what a regular turn around time is for a broken computer.Thanks Palouse Hills Computing! I would highly recommend!

I took my computer in for a broken screen, and they ended up messing something up in the power supply/mother board. Although they didnt charge me they still trashed machine worth a little less than a grand. They seem like great people, but they did a bad job.

There is no better service than Palouse Hills...Roy and his staff are very quick and professional and yet personal as most people are living in a small community. Ever since having a small business as well as personal computers Roy has kept me up and running. Whether it was the desk tops, the internet connections, the printers, my laptops, business items as well, he kept me operating! And better yet he has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years. Having bought laptops, screens, parts, etc from him as well as labor, I always felt I got more than a fair deal. He and his staff are great. I appreciate the fact that he is a United States Veteran of the Armed Forces. Something to be said for his sense of fairness, manners, and trustworthiness. I dont know what we would do without him here!

I dropped a whole bowl of hot Ramen directly onto my laptop, and thought I was done for. By the time I got it dried off and cleaned up it wouldnt even start. My father is an engineer and he fixes everything for the extended family, so naturally I called him up. We walked through all of the step but there was nothing we could do to get it to even turn on and he couldnt be out here to work on it himself for at least a week. I brought my laptop in here hoping that maybe I could recover my files. 2 days later they handed it back to me fully functional and with a new keyboard and charger thrown in. It was better than anything I had hoped for.

I had a hard drive fail after my computer crashed and I brought it in to take a look. Instantly they took my drive and quickly got to work on it right in front of me. They verified the data was okay and discovered it was just a connection issue. They had the right part in the shop to fix it ($5.00). The best part was during check out: scanning my debit card took a little while and they told me to just take the new piece as a loan and come back with a new one and well charge you then. My card then successfully went through and I paid. But the overall quality and promptness of their service was amazing, especially in comparison to the shop down the road with the dragons.Thank you!

Ive been in Pullman for 3 years now. When I first broke my labtop screen I cried when Coug Tech told me they couldnt help. They referred me here and Ive never had my computer fixed anywhere else. Ive had my computer fixed three times and had a new hard drive put it. I love these guys and they have always taken such good care of me. This is the technicians computer shop. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. The prices are fair for immediately getting your item. I bought a refurbished laptop here for a great price and it worked perfectly.

My daughter pulled my laptop off the couch and the display stopped working. I took it in and talked with Grant about it. Its a 3 yr old laptop and wasnt sure I wanted to put much money into it. He said that wasnt an issue and if I decided not to repair the laptop it would only be a $15 diagnostic fee which I was totally fine with. I left the computer and I guess Grant was able to get it working without much effort. He called me and told me the costs to get the computer back to perfect working order which were reasonable costs, or he said I could just come pick it up because it was working reasonably well in the state it was in. So Ive done that and Grant didnt even charge me the diagnostic fee. I really appreciate Grants help.

Amazing interpersonal communication.I had an issue with my computer and I was helped by the son of the owner (i believe). We spent the time to narrow the problem down to the motherboard in my computer. At this time he did not have a compatible motherboard for my CPU.For the time we spent sorting out my problem I was not charged. Amazing person. I would definitely recommend coming here.

The guy is super friendly and very knowledgeable. He had my computer running super fast and even installed free anti-virus software.

My first experience here was wonderful, Grant (who no longer works there) was really knowledgeable and kind and fixed my broken laptop for a good price. But when I brought in my broken desktop looking to get the motherboard replaced, they convinced me to copy my hard drives to a very similar, older desktop the owner had laying around that did have a working motherboard (XPS 8700 i5 to an XPS 8300 i7) The data transfer, Windows 10 installation, and labor ran me for about $180. They owner sold me the older desktop for a cheap price and said I could keep and use the one I brought in for parts, I was happy and convinced this was a good deal, but they actually didnt return my old desktop to me, and the one they sold me was significantly slower. I use to be able to run games like league of legends and Far Cry 3 on low settings with no trouble, but this PC cant even run low-end games like Team Fortress 2. It cant run anything I use to play, its a horrible computer, even though the processor in the desktop they sold me is an i7 instead of an i5, its terribly sluggish and a big downgrade in overall performance.I have a feeling the GPU in the desktop I brought in was nicer and that was taken, but I cant know for sure as they didnt give me back my original desktop like they said they would. I contacted them later that day, just hours after picking up my desktop, and they still havent gotten back to me. I was happy with my first experience here, but this time I feel like I was ripped off and taken advantage of. If youre not computer savvy at all and dont know exactly what you need done, I would recommend you dont take your computer here.

I used R-Tech once before and was thinking that Palouse Hills would be the same, but no Grant is the man! Was fast getting the part I needed in and said he could install it the same day, once we got down there it turns out I needed something else and the part we ordered was useless, but I wasnt charged for the part and he fixed my problem in like 10 minutes. He then gave me a one year warranty on what he fixed.Bottom line. If your computer breaks, take it here!

I went in to fix a broken hinge on my laptop but it turned out I was only missing some screws. He screwed some in and didnt charge me anything. My visit was extremely fast and the owner was very friendly.

My husband and I have been talking all night about what awesome service we got today at Palouse Hills Computing. Our laptop has been broken for several months and we didnt have the money to get it fixed. We finally decided to call Palouse Hills Computing so get a quote of how much it might cost. Grant was very helpful over the phone and so we took it in to just get it looked over (at a very low cost). He found the problem and was able to fix it for very cheap. Grant also threw in a gig of RAM free of charge for us, just to speed things up. We were so excited! Our computer has been running perfectly and quickly ever since. We would highly recommend Palouse Hills Computing to anyone with computer problems and will be taking our computer back if/when more problems arise.

First, I want to comment on the fact that this is single handedly the best display of customer service I have ever encountered from any industry Ive been a client of. To begin, not only did they diagnose my laptops issues the same day I went down there, but they had it fixed the next day. I truly feel as though this company trys its absolute best to save its customers money whenever they possibly can, without cutting any corners on their quality of work. Lastly, although the repair was speedy, about a week after my laptop began to display the same error messages as before... this cause immense levels of stress and frustration, but this was quickly handled by calling their front desk where they assured me the complications would be fixed, and at absolutely no charge to me. If you have any computer issues, give these guys your business, you wont be dissapointed.

My ps4 had a problem connecting to the controller, I brought it in and they said they will call me when they find out what’s wrong and how much it would cost they asked me a price range I said under $60. A few days later, they called and told me that it would be well over 60 and that they could repair it. I refused and brought back my ps4 I got a tool kit for walmart and opened it up myself as I had done in the past. So I open it up, look at the antenna and the only problem, is that the antenna is unplugged!!! I was in shock for a moment, I just thought WOW!!! This is a local Pullman business which people go there to support, and they are just spitting them in the face. They even had a young college student probably a freshman working there, teaching him the ways of scamming. They even lied when I asked if augeytekk was nearby, they said they bought them out which I found out was a lie. Bad store, 1 star gonna contact the manger and tell him about this! 😡

Grant was eager to serve, at a great price. His work is quality too. I recommend him.

I needed a new screen for my laptop, which is normally very expensive. They diagnosed the problem, and saved me a bunch of money by finding some used parts. Very quick repairs and friendly customer service. They also dont talk down to you if you dont know that much about computers like some places. I cant recommend it enough.

The service at this place is excellent. I had a problem with a damaged USB port on the front of my desktop CPU. I dropped it off at Palouse Hills Computing and within an hour Grant had fixed it and charged me only $15. Definitely recommend.

Really solid work on my broken computer screen

Grant did an awesome job to fix the broken hinge of my Lenovo Ultrabook. My ultrabook was running through the warranty period and hinge was broken without any accident. I shipped my ultrabook to Lenovo service center and they did not cover that under standard warranty giving me a quote of $300! I knew Grant before and I brought my ultrabook to him and he was able to get back the broken hinge in great working condition in a single day and charged me only $70. I just loved the place.
