I see more than a few negative reviews here. Do not let them deter you from looking into Mesa Gardens for a future home. I have resided here since March 2021 & have not experienced any issues directly related to the property managers of facilities. In fact, I greatly appreciate the management team here. Sheila & Pilar are polite, efficient, & willing to work with you if need be. Person opinion here, but any negative remarks here are likely coming from less than quality tenants. With that being said, this is lower Eastside Pueblo and there are some crime issues in the area, but Mesa Gardens does their best to prevent that from affecting the tenants here. The complex is clean and tenants are held to standards. I am new to CO and consider this to be my starter apartment until I find a permanent sale home. I & my family are very happy & satisfied with Mesa Gardens as a whole.

Sheila and Pilar are amazing and the maintenance staff works very hard. Everyone is friendly and they care about their tenants.

This apartment complex is great! Really helpful people who work here. I would recommend living here for anyone with a family.

Friendly staff, and they are quick to fix things when needed. Someone is always cleaning the grounds/community areas. The price is unbelievably affordable and the AC blows ice cold. We are a family of 7, and we have plenty of space. The playground is a bonus and it’s down the street from a park with a basketball court. Dollar General and Subway is in walking distance. Very safe and quiet area.

I rented a 1br and it was clean with no problems, I would have stayed but I moved out of town because of work. The staff was very helpful and they are always around in their office if you need them for anything. They also accept packages in the office and hold on them so you dont have to worry about them sitting on the porch if you are arent home which is nice. My neighbors were friendly but also respected each others privacy. Overall good experience.

Sheila and Pilar are an awesome pair of women.. They changed a lot around here and have always been super helpful. I love that things have changed so much since they have been here. Thanks ladies 🤘

When we lived there staff was very friendly and helpful. Neighbors were nice and there for me if I needed them. Clean place for my children to play. I didnt feel that this was a ghetto type apartments. We never feared for our lives

I reviewed this place 7 months ago with a one star. 7 months later, here we are still at Mesa Gardens & literally the ONLY reason why I am here today is because of Sheila, the manager. Her assistant, (it’s a unique name, starts with a P) anyways, she’s awesome too but Sheila addresses situations in a timely manner & takes complaints seriously. Yes, it’s an apartment with some dirty tenants & loud kids (not Mesa gardens fault) but if you’re looking for a decent, nice apartment, 1-4 bedrooms, this is the place.

DONT GO HERE! Our rent started at $750 and now its up $950! The management is terrible! Our car has been broken into and the office hasnt done anything, maybe hire patrol? They keep firing people who did their jobs and keep the ones who just scam you. Shes charging people $200 over what it should be for the deposit. Do not recommend!

Management is ghetto and will lie their way out of anything. Last two managers stole from the property upwards of $75,000 total. But they want to blame residents and vendors and cut cost. This property needs to be investigated and I highly recommend that no one live here.

I lived here years ago. Left and never looked back. So much crime goes on, it is unreal. I felt very unsafe with my children. Beware, no rules are ever enforced. They rip people off.

Other reviews are 2 years old.. But this place is still as bad! People look in your windows, they fight all the time, kids run around unattended, holes in walls, nothing gets fixed just painted over, the dishwashers are old and dont really work, they dont do anything to fix any problem you have. Do not move there! I feel bad for maybe the one or two nice people that are just stuck there with nowhere else to go!

Amy is really nice but the apartment owners have no clue what they are doing and is forever changing. Moved out within 2 months (if that) because the illegal activity occurring could interfere with my job. Was told I could set up payment arrangements and to wait on management to send out a notice. All of the sudden it’s on my credit report stating I owe money. Communication is horrible. Now I have to deal with a collection agency and the hit to my credit because supposedly now they can’t do anything about it being added to my credit. Do yourself a favor and just don’t move there.

The complex is very expensive and offers no amenities. They charge an addition 60 dollars a month to turn on a swamp cooler. They have zero landscaping meaning its all gravel. If your looking for a nice place with nice neighbors, look elsewhere.

Not recommended. Staff is rude and unprofessional. $75/month for AC. Car broken into 4-5times. Neighbor slit wifes throat. Maintenance is horrible. Add on misc. charges w/o explanation. Dont get your down deposit back unless you live there > 2 years. Gang violence and activity. Not safe!

Lived here 3 years. First 2 was great, they handled every problem I had. New management came recently, I had water covering my kitchen floor. Place is full of dog poop, maintenance doesnt clean. Maintenance has no time to do so, they are under staffed the poor guy is run ragged. 85$ for air conditioner on top of rent. Kids are super disrespectful and destructive, manager never here. Laundry room is repulsive, black coating on all washers, roaches, no one cleans it. Havent seen much crime, they try to have security but they dont last. My favorite thing they do is send out completely wrong notices saying you never paid rent or u have to deep clean ur house in 1 day so they can spray for cockroaches. Then they apologize for sending everyone wrong notice. They dont make anyone take responsibility for dog behavior or ciggarettes thrown. My door is covered In them. There is just no one to take pride in it, Im glad to move, it just seems to get worse. Rent goes up, people get worse. Spend ur money somewhere else. Its a bad place that steals ur money every chance they get. Shame on them, we are working people who cant afford much else. Stay away....

I have lived here for a year. We moved down to pueblo to finish our nursing degrees. I always paid my rent on time and kept my apartment clean. This is hands down the worst place I have ever lived. When we moved in we were assured by office staff that all problems we read about on other reviews had been fixed. (They hadnt) The office staff are incredibly rude and unprofessional!!! They are never in the office and never answer the phone. If you happen to get ahold of one of the ladys in the office they are mean and nasty to you no matter what you are calling about. They have yelled at both me and my husband for calling before coming down to the office. When i acked to have them fix something in my apartment the office staff yelled and got in my face. The walls are so thin you can hear your next door neighbors and upstairs neighbors every word. The office staff not only allow illegal behavior, they participate in it! There are drugs everywhere. The children run around breaking things. The parking lots arent safe. Our apartment has been broken into and so has our car. After telling staff, all they had to say was Well it happens. Please dont move here!!! They are horrible people and they will not change anything. They will comment on my review about how they are sorry but they arent. They have no interest in making the tenets happy.

We lived here 4 years ago and our old car was broken into 3 times, keyed, and key stolen from ignition, house attempted break in 2 times, bug infestation at last apt here, this apt has ant nest in walls, New car attempted break in, and was hit and keyed, stuff stolen strait from the trunk with us 5 seconds away, more trash and litter than las vegas, drug deals and overdoses every day, people selling drugs right from their apts, and theyre slum lords who will not update nor fix things, rent is just a pay check to them, ceilings falling through, and last but not least, they advertise security, then claim no security for 2 yrs, put the word out, no one move here, dont let friends or family live here

Dirty business practices everywhere. Mgmt lets tow company use the parking lot as an ATM and protects criminal immigrants at the expense of paying American residents. Stay away at all costs!! This is NOT the Monarch you expect.Lisa is crooked as it gets!!!!! If youre moving from the East coast and looking for a reputable company to lease from do yourself a favor and rent a house from a Craigslist con, its a better deal and home for sure... and ask management if theyve cleaned the poop out of the laundry yet before washing your clothes since no one watches their kids here either.

Ok. I am gonna vent real quivk. Mesa Gardens Apartments is a living hell. DO NOT move there. They are kicking me, my sister, and my dad out because our apartment isnt clean enough for their standards. Essentially, their standards are spotless. We have been one of their best residents and have lived there in the same apartment for 16 and a half years. They have made us and every other resident pay more then what our rent was. And what I mean by this is, we have to pay extra on our rent every month. Their reason for us that we had to pay extra was that Housing wasnt paying the full amount that they were supposed to pay. But the thing is, that dad went up to Housing and spoke with his technician, and his technician said that Housing was paying the full ammount. Needless to say, Mesa Gardens Apartments is money hogs, and is by far the WORST place to move to. And they have also refused to fix stuff in our apartment. Our oven has been broke since March, and they have admitted that they have had the part to fix the oven for 3 months and havent fixed it.

The office staff is friendly, however things dont get done in a timely manner. Ive reported problems with my apartment, but no ticket was made. The ac hasnt been working even though its payed for extra.

They maintenance staff and office staff are awesome and accommodating they with me if I have issues.

The rent raises often, my car has been broken into three time and lost my tags on my car.children run around unsupervised and throw things at my children and my window. office staff is friendly. my biggest complainant is to do a month to month so i can move out is outrageously priced my rent is 785 but a month to month would be a 1,000!!!!!!! now my ac has been broken for a month was suppose o be fixed weeks ago and hey came out again today my apt is 90 inside. they charge extra for the ac oo

Rents to high .Apt complex is old and falling apart .The rent is always increasing .The lease they say wont be raised if you are to sign it before you terms up .Lie! Lie!, .Its not maintained very well ,at least as can be seen from are side .Its a spiders web
