Its U-Haul. They helped me upgrade my rental without issue, and I got enough boxes for my move.

Very convenient location; in and out quickly. However, it looks like overcharging is the norm for this place. I picked up a van to move some things from my condo to my storage unit. When I got in the van, I received the text to confirm the vehicle conditions. I noted that the gas tank was less full than what it showed and changed it to the actual reading; providing a picture that showed the mileage and the fuel gauge. I returned the van after having driving it 5 miles and when I received my receipt, I was charged $28.50 for 8 gallons of gas. I know these things arent the most fuel efficient vehicles, but 0.625 miles per gallon seems low...I called the place after receiving my invoice and no one answered. I left a message after the default outgoing and never heard back.

Literally the worst Uhaul experience, EVER. Run, do not walk from this place. Its Saturday AM, 9:30 am. I had made a reservation online, and checked in online. Got to the place, there was one person behind the register, Jeremy. Jeremy was helping someone in line. I waited there for a minute, NOT realizing the line for the Uhaul was outside (there was one woman waiting, I thought she was waiting for a truck or ____ ?). After a few minutes, he informed me there was a line, I mentioned I had checked in online. Jeremy then said to pull up the reservation code and he could hand me the keys. I then attempted to pull up the code, had to attempt a few times due to cell coverage. Attempted to show him the code and at that point he - very rudely - told me I had to wait in line?!? Confused, kind of......The service is EXTREMELY slow, RUDE, and very little communication to the customer. If you would just let me know how this works, or at the very least not change your mind halfway thru a transaction?!? So I cancelled my reservation and will not be going back - bummer as its down the street from my house.Other options, literally 2 blocks away, is a wonderful Uhaul spot on NW Johnson. Try that one, or I would highly recommend adding 2 miles onto your mileage and go with any other Uhaul in the area.

READ OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE RENTING AND AVOID THIS PLACE. You will see multiple instances of people being overcharged. It seems to be a habit at this place.Look, I was only overcharged for a single dolly rental, which is minor. Its not really about the price though, its the principle. After two and a half weeks of reaching out, I still havent received a refund or any communication back from them for that matter. Have better customer service and professionalism.

Even with some unorthodox behaviors I thought this was gonna be my best you haul experience ever, Staff was accommodating, speedy, And had my truck warmed up for me, But then I got the bill and once again I was over charge saying that I press the button for the insurance that I know that I didnt press which a should have been warned of if its that misleading. Then I also got charged to put gas in which is an impossibility based on gallons per mile so the speedy in-and-out checkout process was duped by the old u-haul up your you know arsh

The guy who helped me was super nice and helpful. They asked me to push back my pick up time and gave me extra time to make up for it.Neighborhood is slightly sketchy, under the bridge, but that doesnt affect their service.

I rented a uhaul and was supposed to be charged $60, but ended up being charged $207. When I called to understand why I was charged so much and to get a refund the man on the phone was very rude and told me there was nothing he could do about it and that he wouldn’t explain the charges. I am filing a dispute with my bank, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION.Ps. If false charges aren’t enough, the physical location is terrible too.

Sketches U Haul location ever. With homeless camp right next door and all the broken glass on the ground its not a good feeling. Oh and the broke down single wide trailer they call there office. 100% if it was not for the Young lady that worked there and helped us we would have not gave up our information. She was very professional and had no problems chasing off the homeless off there property...

Trying to charge ne over $900 for being late only 24 hours. Also lies about their $19.95 for 24 hours in the city.I got charged $67 initially, then have received notifications for over $900 in over a weeks time

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSSINESS I WAS HEALTHY UNTIL I RENTED FROM THE UHAUL COVERED IN COVID, THEY DO NOT CLEAN OR DISENFECT AS THEY STATE THEY DO IVE TALKED TO 3 OTHERS WHO HAVE GOTTEN SICK AFTER RENTING FROM THIS FACILITY UHAUL NEEDS TO DROP THIS PLACE FROM RENTING AND FINE THE BUSSINESS OWNER.

The guy that worked there was nice enough, but the truck was in terrible shape, almost empty on fuel, and when I called to complain about being charged for fuel, after adding more fuel than i used, no one returned my call or email. I guess they can just charge you whatever they want and know that theres nothing you cna do about it.

Moving can be super stressful, and renting a uhaul can become a nightmare. But this had to be the smoothest experience I’ve ever had. Binh was super friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely be coming back to this dealer the next time I move. Give Binh a raise!!!

I rented from this location, and I will NEVER rent U-Haul again. NEVER. I picked up a 10 ft truck to drive a load to Eastern Washington; the truck I was given was extremely difficult to start --- the steering wheel lock was malfunctioning and I could not turn the ignition. Of course the employee started the truck the fist time for my convenience. I struggled with the ignition every time the engine was turned over after a stop. The vehicle was super noisy and I was given no instructions at all about the truck. Blankets were greasy and unclean, and of course, the final tab for the trip was very pricey. Using U-Haul made a difficult experience even more awful. The staff, hah hah, when I returned the truck recommended I call corporate to mention the issue with the starting of the vehicle --- I can imagine the wall I will confront with my complaint. Thank you U-Haul for a horrible experience.

The gentleman that works there is the BEST!! Ive moved three times throughout the city and wherever I am I always make the extra trip to go to this specific Uhaul location. Its easy in, easy out; no long drawn out process. Moving sucks as is, so having a go-to truck rental you can count on is awesome.

What a great place for excellent customer service! Bihn was so helpful and accommodating. His flexibility and willingness to be creative allowed us to have a great experience renting a Uhaul trailer. Location is very handy for Pearl District customers. Definitely recommend using this Uhaul location.

Arrived at location and it was closed, though it stated open until 2 pm. Then had to do the online checkout which I was not expecting, would have been fine but I waited over fifteen minutes to get approved after I identified my uhaul truck. Not good service.

This is not a 24hr location, so we had to rush and drop off our truck within a certain time, luckily our move went well and we got back early.as far as last minute truck rentals, these guys (Binh) helped me out so much, basically reserving a truck for us, telling us how to fuel up before coming back, and I wanted to leave this review to sayif youre not committing user error, renting a truck from quimby U-Haul is legit.thanks-sam

Bihn is a champ and deserves some praise for working the busy shifts mostly solo.

Although the truck was clean and ready, the experience after in dealing with a parking ticket that was obtained after we dropped of the truck was less than stellar.I promptly disputed the citation, and informed them that I was willing to discuss this matter. Instead they sent me to collections.Instead of acting as professionals and trying to come to a reasonable solution, this U-Haul did not discuss my options, and just sent my name and credit reputation straight to collections.I would consider using the U-Haul located at 5501 NW St Helens Rd, Portland, OR 97210. I used them a few years ago, and they were great.

Dont be repelled by the location these guys are super friendly and helpful. Ive rented from them at least 6 times for work and not once had a bad experience. Every truck Ive rented works great and you can gas up by the Radio Cab station when youre through.

Rented a 10ft truck for the day of my move. Uhaul gave away my rental and forced me to pay double for a larger sized truck. Uhauls corpoate line was unhelpful. Do not do business with uhaul.

The guy that works here needs some work! not a bad guy but just really does not give a care in the world about doing his job. I think he would agree with me if he read this. He works from a trailer and from the look of things hes barely ever in there....I want this mans job hes living the life! Chilling all day! Plus he scammed me on gas so check your gadge before you leave the lot...super sketch

I rented a 10 ft moving truck from this place and Ray was absolutely great. I had an equipment issue with a truck and he not only took care of it expediently but compensated me for the trouble. I would definitely use this place again.

I like this U-Haul location. They have nearly always had the truck I wanted. Easy in, easy out. There is a new owner, and the office is cleaned up and organized.

Decent service even with all the construction going on they were courteous and helpful but told me after I had made purchases if I need to return something I couldn’t bring them back to their location but I had to go find a bigger store🧐

This place sucks!

Booked a closed 6x12 trailer for a move to Orlando. Rep never asked me about insurance, just added $70 to my total. Did not notice this until I looked at paperwork later that day. Called to voice my complaint and different rep got real defensive. By end of call, said he would credit my card and charge proper amount. Two weeks later, still has not done so. Now they dont answer their phones, forcing me to deal with corporate.

We booked a truck weeks ago for a 7am pick up. Last night I confirmed and paid in advance, which Uhaul assured me would make our pickup quick and easy. We get there at 7am this morning, and the site doesnt open until 8:30. No one is answering the phones either at this location or the 1-800 number. We have movers hired and a tight moving schedule and by booking a rental that they never intended to fulfill, Uhaul is costing us hundreds of dollars. Dont rent a truck here if you actually intend to use it.

Idk what happend since the last time I came here, but all the staff were diffrent and were honeslty kinda rude. I walked away $275 less in my bank account due to some fees that seemed fake if not, seriously over priced and a mysterious missing itemized bill that I still havent gotten via email nor a return visit. I noticed an attempt to give the office a facelift but it fell flat. There used to be a flat screen with awesome movies playing to keep you entertained while waiting and a quirky manager who was a speed demon to get your truck to you and always was pretty forgiving when I was late.I wont be returning to this location, id stay away from the MLK one too- its run by the same people.

Rip-off. Twice I have returned U-Haul trucks at this location and both times I have been ripped off. The first time an employee stole items out of the cab of the truck while I was completing the return in the office. The second time I was charged an extra day because their employee failed to check the vehicle in when I returned it. Avoid using this location!I will amend this rating if/when I get a response from these guys. They also refuse to answer their phones.

Ive been to this U-Haul rental for three separate moves now and I would strongly recommend this location to anyone. Always got the vehicle we wanted, easy access to boxes and moving supplies, and the guy who runs the place is very (very, very) nice and easy to deal with.On a side note my GPS will always tell me Ive arrived when Im in the middle of the Freemont Bridge, so be aware that its BELOW the bridge if youre new to the area.

While waiting for my pickup that wasn’t cleaned, I listened to two customers call about billing overcharges and double charging. When I finally got into the truck, they miswrote the mileage on the paper so that I would overfill or be overcharged. Now I am waiting to return the truck. I have been waiting for 30 minutes and there are still 2 people ahead of me. At this rate, returning my truck will take a total of 1.5 hours. They only ever have 1 employee here. It is EXTREMELY unprofessional, slow, and unreliable. If you’re moving, I wouldn’t risk it here.Edit: When I rented the truck he told me he would credit me for the mileage when I returned the vehicle. When I returned, he changed his story and would not refund the money. Time to call U-Haul Corporate.Edit 2: Just noticed in my final receipt that they overcharged me on my miles.

SCAM !! Dropped of truck at closing time same day with another customer. This was certainly within the 6 hour rental time. Employee was apparently upset as he was wanting to leave. Said he would email receipt and then added an entire extra days charge to the bill!! $30 mistake for being nice and not demanding a receipt. SCAM !!!.

Used to come here often since i need trucks for work sometimes. It was my go-to location only because the blonde guy who worked there was really friendly, quick to get me checked out, and always made my day a little brighter. I went again last week and I guess there is new managment now. The usual guy isent there anymore and the new staff were cold in comparison. Off-standish, kinda rude and this one kid was just on his phone the whole time. Customer relations are not these guys forte. :(

The problem with this place is it is a Van’s Towing company using Uhaul services as extra income. Uhaul is reconsidering letting this towing company drag their name through the muck, because it’s not Uhaul’s fault. This is an independently owned towing company which contracts to rent moving trucks for money, at the customer’s expense, because they are hardly ever there. Zero stars actually. They say “open” but are often locked up and absent. Jeff is a nice guy, but the owner is Daniel and he is not so nice. I would HIGHLY recommend going to another Uhaul location for moving needs- If you do business here, you will regret it!

Id give them zero but i cant. Terrible service. The gentleman at the counter acted like he was on drugs or something - and now my card has a mysterious $50 charge on it and of course i cannot get a hold of ANYONE. Super annoying.

Odd location, but quick and efficient service and interesting staff.

Shady business and cheats peoples money by secretly adding extra insurance and under report starting mileage. I was cheated $60 for 40 miles I did not drive. They added $15 insurance even though I said I didnt need it. Double check the milage and contract before you sign and drive off, otherwise you will get ripped off big tine.

Service is slow and unfriendly. Plus they charged me for add one I did not order. Make sure to check your receipt!
