JAMAC is great. Cant say anything bad about the place or owner. Ive taken two guitar speakers in. One needed a full restoration, and the other just needed a little glue to repair. Quality service and very knowledgeable. They also sell new/used quality speakers if your are looking to upgrade your equipment.

Came in with a blown speaker, 5 minutes later walked out fixed, no charge! Works like the day it was born. Proprietor was very friendly and knowledgeable, I will definitely be back!

For far too long I had been tolerating muffled audio from a pair of Polk Monitor Series 5 speakers I’d received for high school graduation in 1986. Finally, I took them to JAMAC, recommended to me by Fred’s Sound of Music. Ron, the owner, tested the speakers and found one had a blown fuse and the other, a blown tweeter. I found a vintage pair of identical tweeters on eBay and brought them in. Ron installed one to replace the bad one, carefully repacked the extra one, provided me with extra fuses, and even carried the speakers in and out for me. Ron is the best. My late father had given me those speakers, and even though they aren’t considered high end today, they have a lot of life left, and Ron treated them with care. They sound perfect now. He is the best, and I will be returning to JAMAC again for all future speaker needs.

The man knows what hes doing... I bought some crossovers for my front tower speakers AMAZING... Now Im going to see if he has some spiders and voice coils.

This is the place. Try this first. It will be more cost effective than any place else.The owner is the best. I have had him create custom passive crossover networks for all my projects.

I found Jamac on the internet and read the google reviews.I needed the foam on my AR speakers replaced and was sure I didn’t have the skills to do it. I took the speakers in to Jamac and Ron helped me. He had a concern that one of the speakers had a scratchy sound when he moved the cone. I left them off and asked to let me know if the woofer had to be replaced or if foaming was all that would be necessary. Turns out putting in new foam in did the trick. The speakers are back sounding terrific! The price was very reasonable and they got the job done very quickly. Ron did a great job.Thanks!

I always bring my bass cabs here for any speaker maintenance. He swapped the blown JBL 15s I had for the black widows right off the floor in 15 minutes. Gave me a great deal and is a hell of a rad dude. I was there a half hour tops and left happy as any bass player can be. I mean... Im a bass player... So I got that going for myself. 😐

The year was 1987 (I was 14 years old) and I had always been into speakers and loud music. My parents had just split up and my dad kept the huge home stereo and the Cerwin Vega speakers in California. At this point the only thing I had was a small boombox my mom bought me to blast the beastie boys or some run dmc.One day one of the speakers quit working, Luckily we lived in the dumpy apartments directly across the street from jamac. I had seen people bringing speakers in and out so I thought Id give them a shot. I had already removed the little speaker and Ron sold me a replacement speaker for next to nothing. After that experience all my friends and I purchased subwoofers for our cars in high school. I absolutely love this place and Ron is so knowledgeable. Almost 35 years later and Im still a fan of jamac.

Ive never written a review before but I feel like this place deserves one. Ron is super friendly and helped troubleshoot, on the spot, what turned out to be a pretty simple problem with an old set of Acoustic speakers. Im glad this place is around. More dust and knowledge than marketing and show.

I brought in a speaker that was damaged in shipping. No one else could fix my speaker, I tried many other shops. So he began to troubleshoot the speaker, we opened it up and checked the crossover, checked the woofers, but couldnt check the speaker binding posts. So they told me they will have to get invasive to fix the speaker b/c they know whats wrong. The speaker binding post wire connection is severed. So I said sure I got nothing else to lose. So they took out the bottom port of my speakers, found out they were right, and they used a solder torch and soldered the speaker wire back on to the binding post. They had to stick their arms up a small 8 woofer space and solder the wire back on without the speaker going up in flames. EPIC work!!! And best of all, they wanted to charge me $16 for that. Several other shops wanted to charge me $80 just to even look at it.
