I found Marc through my Bay Area shear rep. I didn’t want to trust my mizutani’s to just anyone! I had dropped them and they were pinching hair at the tip. I sent my shears to Marc, and he had them sharpened like new - hot knife through butter again - and sent back to me within a few days! Price was very affordable, too. Will be my shear guy from here on 👌

I don’t often sharpen my knives because I had this idea that it was a cumbersome and lengthy process to bring them to a place and have them away from my kitchen for a length of time or have to schedule an appointment to have them done.Marc’s service was so swift and seamless, I will never have to deal with a dull knife again. I am BEYOND happy with my newly sharpened shears! Not only did he drive from Portland to Forest grove but he was kind, professional, did a FANTASTIC job and even left me with bandaids! Cause you know... those shears are sharp! I thought the pricing was incredibly reasonable especially taking in to account that he drove many miles to get to me to do it. I’ve had issues in the past with trying to get a hold of another person who sharpens shears and it takes months for them to get back to me but when I contacted Edge Your Craft I got a message back within hours and he came out days later. I 10/10 recommend and feel really good knowing I can count on someone to make sure my tools are in great shape! I also want to mention I have crippling anxiety and was running late due to traffic the morning I was meeting him at the salon to get my shears sharpened and he instantly put me at easy with his no worries attitude and understanding and when you have mental health issues that really means the world. Marc is the one to hire! Not only are his business cards super clever as personalized bandaids, but he is mobile, quick, and fair priced. Super low contact as he has a vehicle decked out as a mobile shear sharpening station and doesn’t need to set up in your business and also doesn’t require you leaving your shears at a business away from where you’re at as sharpens all shears on site (in the mobile rig) and has loaner shears if need be. Definitely satisfied with his service!

I was thrilled to find a craftsman to sharpen both pinking shears and sewing shears! Marc did a super-fine job and I essentially waited about an hour (ran an errand) for 4 pair to be brought back into outstanding cutting service! Such reasonable cost, too. Give him a call. Highly recommend!!!

Marc does great work. I have used other sharpening services for my 8 chefs knife in the Portland area for the last 10 years. When I picked up my knife from Edge Your Craft it was the best it has looked since I got it new. Pickup and drop off was super easy and Marc had my knife done in 30 minutes. Mark is a true professional! I was having serious issues with my shears and thought there was no hope but to buy new ones.
