The service these girls give is above and beyond! Taylor is my main girl, she is quick, efficient, talented and kind. She has done my lashes, facials & sugaring and I recommend her to everyone! The owner, Abbie, is kind and amazing as well. She is very knowledgeable and always improving her business. I’ve been to 3 other sugar locations in Portland and Sugar Sugar is by far the best ♥️

Great place to get a Brazillian! Was out in less time than planned but didnt feel rushed at all. I also picked up some aftercare products, the exfoliating pads and a salve that feel wonderful!!

Ive been going to Sugar Sugar for a couple of years for bikini sugaring and would highly recommend their services to anyone!I have seen both Taylor and Allison and both are spectacular and just such genuinely sweet people on top of their excellent sugaring abilities. Ive always felt comfortable. The location is always clean, serene and is super cute! Parking is never an issue. Sugaring is way way less painful than waxing and (for those with sensitive skin like me) way gentler on your skin.Overall, cannot speak highly enough of Sugar Sugar. Go try them out yourself. You wont be disappointed :)

Clean, safe COVID practices (temp check, questionnaire prior to coming in, hand sanitizing or wash hands when you first get in, mask requirement, and you wait in your car and they text you when they are ready for you).Prices are very fair, booking is easy on the mind body app. Everyone I have been to there has been great. Sugaring is much more gentle on my skin than waxing - it is even less painful in my opinion.

My first time getting “sugared” & it was much more pleasant than waxing. It didn’t hurt as much and my skin wasn’t stinging afterwards. The price is more steep ($22+tip) but it is environmentally friendly. I like that they squeezed me in same day too. The office is clean and smells nice. The cosmetologist was professional, friendly, and competent.

Tessa was awesome!! She made the experience really comfortable and easy. She was friendly and helpful. I let her know an issue Id had post sugaring and she was able to recommend a product that would help. She was lightening fast and Ill 1000% be returning!

I’ve been seeing Tessa for a couple of years. Always friendly and helpful staff, they put you at ease even if you’re a first timer. Already very on top of their cleanliness and sanitation prior to COVID, they’ve upped their protocols and are doing a great job. Masks, temp check, and hand cleaning are required upon check in and staff are wearing both masks and face shields. They are great at what they do!

Abbie was wonderful and professional, it went by so quick I didnt have time to say ouch! Not that I needed to--this was my first time sugaring and my sensitive skin found this much gentler than hard wax. About 1/3 of the pain and it seemed to go much faster from not having to do all the extra work with the wax, as well as from Abbies quick and sure hands. Ill be back!

I have been coming to Sugar Sugar ever since I moved to Portland about 4 years ago. Their staff is amazing and my brows and lashes always look perfect after my appointment. The space is clean, inviting, and comfortable. I highly recommend them for all your Sugaring and self care needs!

I wanted to switch from waxing for a few reasons:- less painful- just sugar, water, and lemon- not as hot as waxI chose to give sugar sugar a try due to the location being easy and free street parking - Im glad I did! Taylor was amazing. Very kind, easy to talk to, and genuine. It was a much better experience than the waxing salons I have went to. Some tend to give off a stiff vibe (it was the pearl) but this place was professional and yet relaxed. I definitely recommend it!

Some background: Ive been getting Brazilian sugar waxes for several years and Ive had a variety of experiences.I got a Brazilian from Abbie today and I can say with 100% certainty that it was the BEST Brazilian Ive ever gotten. I was so comfortable and relaxed. She was gentle and literally got everything!! It had been about 7 months since I had last gotten a Brazilian, so my pain tolerance was much lower than normal, and she STILL managed to make it an almost painless process.She knew I was traveling the next day and gave me extra anti bacterial wipes so I can prevent those white bumps I always get. Super kind and a master of her craft. I am recommending this place to all my friends!! ❤️❤️

This was my first time sugaring (have waxed for years) and I’m a convert for sure.I have extremely sensitive skin and fine hair and I generally walk out of waxing appointments red, in pain, burning, and have an uncomfortable couple of days of recovery. Plus major lifting (removal of top layers of skin equals peeling for weeks... gross). Not the case at all post-sugar. I’ve been irritation free since my appointment! I haven’t had a grow in yet, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a much easier process.Tessa explained the process to me, was great conversation, and did an excellent job. Baby smooth skin with no irritation! It’s like 60% less of the pain of Brazilian waxing.I love that it’s all natural and the waste reduction is so great too!! Love that it’s a small, female empowering, local business. And it was the same cost as my waxing appointments so there really is no loss here.

Taylor was amazing. Easy conversation and comfortable environment.Plus my legs are extra smooth now. Sugaring is definitely better than regular waxing. It hurt less, got more hair from the root, and no sticky residue.

I had my brows sugared here recently and they looked absolutely fantastic! Taylor did such a great job with very little pain. She did a wonderful job of styling them, adding some arch without making them too extreme. She also took time to explain the lash lift to me which sounded really interesting, Im doing that in my next visit.The salon is really nice and clean and comfortable. The beds are warm and super soft and cozy!!!

Ive been going to Sugar Sugar from the beginning, and will never go anywhere else. Abbie (the owner) has done a beautiful job of growing a business with the best group of women Ive seen under one roof. All of them are experienced, very professional, make you feel comfortable and welcome you with warmth. They all have your best interest at heart and will make you look and feel fabulous. I have a long history of seeing Tessa and Abbie, which are both such a delight, for sugaring and facials, all of which were great. I have also seen Devon for lash extensions and sugaring and she rocks. Lashes were a game changer for me since I dont have a lot of time and dont wear a lot of makeup. They make me feel and look way better than mascara alone. I have also noticed my general eye health improving with wearing less product near my eyes. If youre looking for a local business to support, this is it. They all deserve every bit of success that comes their way.

Very friendly, much less painful than waxing. Also - was pleasantly surprised that my brows were no longer red after just a couple hours. Normally with waxing my eyebrows are red even the next day (I have sensitive skin). I will be coming back for more services!

I have been having my brows waxed for years. Sugar Sugar was my first attempt at sugaring. Abbie was terrific and explained the process very clearly to me. Overall, it was less painful than waxing and Abbie shaped my brows quite nicely. I particularly like how several days later, the stray hairs have yet to begin to grow in! I will definitely be a regular client.

Abbie is wonderful! I started seeing her for leg and Brazilian sugars in August 2015 and stuck with it! Not only is she down-to-earth, but she is great at what she does and knows what she is doing, making your experience as relaxing as possible. If you havent tried sugaring yet, you NEED to!! I first went to Abbie for a face sugaring as my fiancee and I were scheduled to take engagement pictures and I thought it would be a nice touch prior to the photo shoot. I wasnt sure I would continue on or if this would be a one time thing...Well, I fell in love with this method and will not do the wax method ever again. Its seriously painless and the ingredients used are far better for my sensitive skin, as waxing led to my skin usually breaking out and sugaring hasnt irritated my skin at all. Abbie is wonderful at what she does - I look forward to the lunch breaks I schedule these appointments on - the studio is calming and relaxing - I always walk out feeling more beautiful and refreshed.

Very nice place and nice staff, but poor wax job. Disappointed with the amount of money I paid for wax I received. It was not as good as other places I’ve been in Portland.

Abbie has made my hair removal experience the most enjoyable it has ever been. I shaved, I would have stubble and ingrown hairs the next day. I waxed, when I did my skin and hair follicles would be red and irritated. Sugaring is all natural and compared to waxing, you are pulling the hair out in the direction it grows instead of pulling the opposite (which is why it becomes red and irritated with waxing). Hair removal isnt fun or enjoyable, but Abbie makes you feel comfortable. She is funny, friendly, polite, and thorough! ;P I just added a facial service on top of my sugaring services today. That was incredible! I highly recommend Abbie at Sugar Sugar in Sellwood!

I got sugared for the first time yesterday and I am officially obsessed! I have a trip coming up and didn’t want to have to deal with shaving or prickly hair growing back since I’ll be in a bikini everyday. I sugared my full legs and my bikini line and couldn’t be happier! The owner Abbie was my esthetician and she was the sweetest thing ever. She educated me on everything she was doing and answered any questions I had. For the most part the entire sugaring process was very comfortable and didn’t even really hurt! This will definitely be my new thing before trips and all summer long, totally worth it!

Abbie is awesome and so is Sugaring! I have been getting traditional wax treatments for underarms, bikini and legs for over 15 years and I now Im a sugar convert. I dont think I will ever go back to wax! Not only is it hard to find an esthetician that is consistent and thorough and doesnt take 2 hours to complete my waxing (who has that kind of time?!), waxing is messy and produces so much waste that Ive always struggled with the environmental impacts of waxing vs shaving. Abbie not only meets my requirements in an esthetician (she is really really great, fast, thorough and fun to talk to) sugaring also satisfies my conservation mindedness. I am so glad I gave it a try. Having Abbie right in the neighborhood is real bonus too!
