The gym at this community center is wonderful. For a ridiculously cheap entrance fee that is much cheaper than any gym membership you can exercise and also swim all day in a not so crowded pool. Goodbye gym membership for good as long as I live near here

Great little gym I would have liked to check out the boxing club. Front desk is amazing was homeless and they still treated me well. I wouldnt mind going here today I got nothing better to do.

Great community center and gym. Reasonable fees for pool, weight room, boxing, basketball court, and more. Discounts for families that sign up together. They also have spaces available to rent for personal events.

I love the fact that this place is available to the community. The staff has always been helpful and especially the afternoon before Easter day this year. The woman at the desk was so kind to me when I needed it the most. She answered my questions and made an otherwise bad week seem not so bad. For the most part the kinds of people youll find here are friendly.

Great place to do almost anything. Keep in mind that it is completely free under the teen force pass (as far as I am aware for everything I have tried) as long as you are under the age of 21.

Building is nicely laid out but not easy to get to. The pool is beautiful and large and the classes offered are interesting. The people behind the desk were very friendly and willing to help and/or answer questions but they didnt seem to know a lot about how things were run or the costs.

My wife and I just started going there and the front desk has been nothing but helpful. We really appreciate it. Hot tub is great 👌 and the pool is awesome.

I love the aqua aerobic classes! The facility offers classes for young - seniors. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I go here from time to time with my family and although it is an indoor swimming pool the water in the locker room and swimming pool is cold. Sometimes for water aerobics the water is cold and there is such tiny space the instructors never all do the same routine or switch it up. The instructors for water aerobics are here today and gone tomorrow and some do not focus on why they are truly there and talk way too much and neglect the rest of the class.•The days when this pool could be getting its routine maintenance is an inconvenience to those that show up for class only to find out with no notice that the pool is closed.•Hard to find parking once the small parking lot is full.•Sometimes after water aerobics the hot tub is closed for maintenance or no reason at all.

The pool is on the colder side - good for laps. My kids love their open swim time

This place is not lacking in much. A good variety of classes, a nice pool for lap swim, a weight room and more. It gets busy during the summer and parking may be a problem but its easy enough to get to using public transportation. And the staff is always friendly and helpful.

This is just for the aquatic side. The people at the information desk were amazing and wonderful, and thats about it.The pool observation area has poor ventilation, and due to the humidity, chlorine and poor ventilation black mold can be seen in a number of areas. Was at a swim meet there and the high schooler running it was very rude, it sucks because I think she hasnt been properly trained. The bleachers dont lock in place causing a womans leg to slip between them and get pretty cut up. Multiple people had breathing problems and left the facility within 30 minutes of being there.Black mild was found in main pool area, on the ceiling around both the pool and observation area, in the locker rooms and pool bathrooms. Its there because it simply lacks proper ventilation.

Love Dishman or Knott as we call it for boxing. Coach Stan is a fitness freak so be ready for extensive calisthenics and loud direction😉! They have nice pool, weight room, dance classes etc. etc. Perfect place for family fun!

Great place to swim! The family shower/changing rooms need some help. Showers are difficult.

Awesome. Its $5 to use all of the facilities. The gym is totally worth that and the pool is pretty nice. It has a large hot tub. Neither the pool or gym are very crowded ever.

Young staff member Tiernan was very helpful to me and my family and made it the perfect trip for some summertime fun.

The water and locker room temperatures are comfortable all year around

Great community center for all ages and backgrounds. Emphasis on healthy exercises, including swimming pool, gym, yoga classes, dance, arts and craft. The best part is that my health insurance pays for it!

I went for a biketown orientation and found the front desk staff kind and helpful. The classroom itself was very clean and comfortable. Teaching staff was very knowledgeable

Great all service Community Center for your physical needs nice big pool nice hot tub good workout gym its too bad that what this highest tax are they continue to need to raise the price of admission oh, but that probably has something to do with the concrete campers sleeping in the bushes next to that damn Church also why they had to put keypads on all the doors for the restrooms

Dear MDCCP: I am such, a big, ((blushing)) fan. Big fan. I so appreciate the cleanliness of your pool and your seemingly followed Shower Before Swimming policy. It makes me muuuy happy to see the sun shining into the water from your big beautiful 1.5 walls of window. I am in awe over the attentiveness of your lifeguards, along with their drill rescues of dummies and their frequent scanning of the ((voice deepens)) bottom of the pool. Im fond of your fair fees ($3.25-$4 per visit or $32.50 per month) for access to the pool, gym, weights, and a multitude of exercise classes. I especially like how Ive encountered so many unique individuals in your facility in less than one months time. Im realizing you have many other fans because sometimes there is not even one available space in your parking lot nor your pool lanes. Clearly, we all think you are great. So, if loving you means street parking and circle swimming, then bring it baby.

My favorite Portland community center. Always busy and staff are friendly and go the extra mile. Always that sense that you are among good neighbors. Very good day camps during school breaks with lots of swimming time. Portland AIR program for people with disabilities (including children) available for free. Scholarships also available.

Dishman Community Center is fantastic. Very welcoming to all! My focus is water aerobics and Dishman has the best instructor Rita.

One of our friends got a membership after I took him here :)LOVE THIS PLACE!!...Its like a home away from home to us!!Everytime I come here I ALWAYS make at least ONE new pal lol...Whether its Jessica @ the front desk or a new member who just retired or other members who have been coming here forever EVERYONE is SO FRIENDLY & NICE...!! :)Its a GREAT way for our Portland Community to come together & take care of ourselves while connecting w/others in a time when technology rules king & interacting w/other human beings is not as popular as it once was :(The Classes I love esp.the h20 ones & the instructors are great working with you for your needs & skill level...I want to go EVERYDAY & TRY!! :)ITS NOT A WORKOUT ITS A HEALTHY PARTY!!! ☆☆☆☆

I like mattdishman community swim center cause I like going in the hot tub and sometimes I like swimming there its myfavorite thing to do in my life and its also relaxing as well :)

Excellent facility with great accommodations and variety although only complaint is that the pool area is extremely humid and hot. (more than usual)

Friendly, helpful staff, cramped rather run down quarters. Does have hot tub and pool is good sized. Trashy sidewalks and parking lot. Place nust doesnt look clean.

Took my daughter here for swim lessons. The lessons were great, and the pool was nice. However, I had NO IDEA what was going on our first day. Didnt know whether or not we needed to check in. Didnt know where the facilities were. Didnt get much help from the folks at the counter either. Change and go in wasnt exactly the answer I was looking for. After that first day, things went ok since I knew what to expect.

The favorite pool for my kids because of the slides, diving board and basketball hoops. I enjoy the hot tub while they swim.

The indoor pool was not heated the last time i was their so i had to bby. Sit & stay in the hot tub... But then the bby wants to jump in the hot tub with me... So i just leaft early... I really hope & wish the next time i go there the pool itself is at a decent luke wormish water in it... But if not & its still frezzing cold... Iam just spend all of my time their in the hot tube... Nowhere eles... ... ... 💯💦💧🌊🏊♨🚰

Wonderful staff who taught my kid how to swim! Its wonderful that everyone in the neighborhood comes here.

If you want to swim laps in the early AM skip this place. There is a group of swimmers who breaks all protocol and take up 80% of the pool to help themselves to their own little private masters class. Its not listed on the schedule and diminishes everyone elses swim experience.

Best Zumba instructor in town!! Tuesday Thursday 5:30; Saturday 9:30. We samba, merengue, salsa and a lil hip hop moves. You will not be disappointed. Youll burn calories and have a blast!

Great staff, would have been 5 stars but the weight gym isnt what it used to be in the 80s.

They have everything you could want in a community center. They even have a famous boxing program.

My adult swim class was cancelled. No reason given, and I was already there. I was very excited to actually find a class that fit my schedule close to home.

They dont seem to be able to post on their website and/or google when they are closed for maintenance and repairs. They need a way for people to check besides calling ahead each and every time you plan a visit.
